Chapter 13-I Can't Lose Her

Hank stepped into his office and called Jenna again, after three calls and multiple texts were all left unanswered. This wasn't like her. He knew she was planning to stay around her apartment for the day, so there was no reason for her not to answer. He walked out of his office, a sick feeling in his stomach.

"Can someone ping Jenna's phone?"

"Got it Boss," Adam said. A few moments later, he said, "Looks like she's at her apartment."

"I have a really bad feeling. Antonio, gear up and come with me. The rest of you, be on standby. Something is wrong."

"Let's go Sarge," Antonio said, grabbing his things.

When they got to Jenna's apartment, Hank carefully opened the door. Immediately they could tell there had been a struggle. Hank rushed around, gun drawn, calling Jenna's name, frantically looking for her.

"She's not here," Hank said, brushing his hand over his face in frustration. Where was she? Who could've done this?

"Sarge," Antonio said.

Hank walked over to Antonio. His heart sank when he saw a blood spot on the floor. "She's hurt. Someone hurt her and took her."

"We'll find her Hank," Antonio said, putting his hand on his shoulder.

"We have to find her, Antonio. I can't…we have to find her."

"Let's get a hold of the security footage and roll the crime lab. Hopefully they'll pick up some prints. I'll call the team. We'll find her. I promise you, we won't stop until we find her."

A few minutes later, the team arrived at Jenna's apartment. Erin immediately rushed to Hank, throwing her arms around him. "We're going to find her, Hank," she said tearfully.

"I can't lose her, Erin."

"You won't. We'll find her, and she'll be just fine."

Just then, Mouse rushed over to them. "I have the security footage. Unfortunately, we can't see the faces of the guys."

"Let me see it," Hank said, reaching for the laptop.

Kevin put his hand on Hank's shoulder. "Sarge, maybe it's best if you don't watch it."

Hank glared at Kevin. "Back off, Atwater."

The team gathered around the laptop to watch. They saw two men stop at Jenna's door. One picked the lock while the other one stood guard with a gun. A few minutes later, they left the apartment, Jenna fighting them every step of the way until one of them hit her with his gun. She fell to the ground unconscious, so the other picked her up, carrying her into the elevator. The view switched to outside, and they saw a still-unconscious Jenna being loaded into the back of their vehicle.

Erin walked away, tears rolling down her face as Jay followed her, putting his arm around her and pulling her into his chest. Kevin put his hand on Hank's shoulder as he covered his face with his hand for a moment.

Finally, Hank gathered every bit of strength he could muster and turned around to his team. "We have to find her. There is no other option."

"We'll get her Sarge," Hailey said. "We won't stop until we find her."

"You're right. We won't. And we will use whatever means necessary to get her back, and I mean whatever. I don't care about anything but bringing her home. So if anyone isn't comfortable with that, I recommend you take today off."

"We're with you Sarge," Kevin said.

"Absolutely," Adam said. "We're going to get her back."

All Jenna could think about was the searing pain in her head. She tried to open her eyes, but even the slightest movement hurt. Finally, she managed to sit up and slowly open her eyes. She was shocked to see her hands covered in blood, as well as a small pool on the floor where she was laying. She didn't know where she was, and she was scared, wanting Hank and wanting out of there as soon as possible. She tried to stand, but stopped when one of the men stepped into the room.

"Oh look. Our sleeping beauty decided to wake up." An evil grin came across his face as he started toward her.

"Who are you, and what do you want from me?" she asked, her voice shaking as she scooted farther away from him.

"Your boyfriend put me in prison a few years ago. Yesterday, I managed to escape. Now, he must pay for what he did, so he has to get a few things for me. You are here to ensure that he complies with my requests. Once I have what I need, you'll be free to go. Now, we're going to call him and give him an update on the first part of the plan."

He pulled out a phone. "Dial his number." She hesitated for a moment, until he pulled out a gun, putting it to her forehead.

"Ok, ok, please put the gun down," she said.

"Dial."

She punched in Hank's number and handed it back to the man, praying Hank would answer and praying he would find her soon, before it was too late.

Author's Note: Sorry for the super short chapter, but it had to be done. Who do you think took Jenna? I can tell you that it's someone from the past that you will recognize if you've been watching the show for awhile. Any guesses?
