"Donna, Garfield!" Rachel listened for a response, none came "Kori, Barbara, Kara!" She closed her eyes and waited,
"Rachel, I'm on my way back to the city" Kara answered,
"I can't get a response from anyone else, hurry back to the city, I'm gonna try getting ahold of Dick" Rachel switched on her connection to Robin.
Robin watched the helicopter hover over the ground, the rodder's picking up dirt over the abandoned lot, 4 soldiers in full tactical gear dropped from the side door,
"Charlie squad on the ground, alpha and bravo continue to Lz 2 and 3" The leader,an older man with a grey beard barked into his radio before turning his attention "Robin?" He asked,
"That's me, I have my team working with local fire and rescue to help civilan, along with another group making contact with the Tamaranean army" Dick explained,
"Good to hear, I'm Captain James Bolton, we have 2 other squads that will enter through 2 of the other bridges, we'll all move towards the center of the city clearing as we go, each squad is equipped with a shoulder mounted anti air craft missle launcher, if anyone can get the shot we'll take it" He said, he introduced the 3 other soldiers as Stinger, Jinx, and Balasong.
"You need to tell the other teams that I have a Tamaranean on my team" Dick told captain Burton, who nodded,
"Can I get a desription to give em?" He asked,
"Red hair, dark skin, grey jumpsuit with an uppercase T in a circle over the left breast" Dick answered,
"I'll pass on the desription" He stepped away and got on his radio,
"Military has vehicles on the way to help with transport of civilans, we'll clear the bridge on our way in and secure public transport for mass evac" Jinx was the youngest soldier in the squad, she explained the plan to Dick with nervous glances at her team.
The whole group heard the missles being fired from the crafts above, they watched as 1 of them struck the base of a sky scarper across the bridge, it shifted and slid forward toward them,
"Move, move, move" Jinx yelled, the group ran forward, the building now coming down on their right, Jinx foot caught on something, she tripped forward, Dick caught her arm and tossed her ahead, Burton was the last 1 under the building, his shoulder was struck by a stray piece of dabre.
The top of the building struck the bank on their side of the strait, dirt and water was thrown into the air raining down on the team, when the dust settled they regrouped,
"Are you ok captain?" Balsong asked rushing to Burton's side,
"I'm fine, but what the hell is going on?" He yelled as more missles struck the city,
"We have to get back over there now" Dick called, the group made their way to the bridge, Dick's earpiece crackled to life,
"Dick, are you there?" Rachel asked panicked,
"I'm here" He answered "Do you know whats going on?"
"The city is under attack again, Kara and you are the only ones answering, Kara's on her way back to the city"
"Send me the last location of Wonder girl and Beast boy, I'll see about restoring contact with them, you work on getting Batgirl and Starfire back, keep in touch with Kara, and keep us updated, ok?" Dick tried to sound calm, he heard Rachel sniffle as she composed herself,
"Yeah, yeah, ok, I'm on it."
