Location: Tamaran. 14 years before the attack on Metropolis.
Royal Palace of Tamarus.
King Myand'r stood over the large map of Tamaran that was laid out on the table in the center of the Palace war room, Harros the general of the guard was pointing to a small village called Zoriss,
"A large group of citadel soldiers circled around the main battle and attacked a church sheltering unarmed civilians when our army returned they were ambushed, it was a massacre" He explained,
A young woman entered the room and approached the king.
"Sir," She said quietly,
"What is it?" He asked,
"It's your wife she's gone into labor" Myand'r nodded regretfully,
"Tell her I will return as soon as I can" She nodded and quietly left the room,
"General prepare the armies for travel."
1 Year later, Tamarus Throne Room.
General Harros kneeled in front of King Myand'rs throne,
"You requested me, my lord?" Myand'r motioned for him to stand,
"How are you, my friend?" He asked,
"I am fine, what is it that I can do for you?"
"Have the preparations been made for my daughter's naming ceremony?" Harros hesitated, "What is it?"
"Due to the tragedy that took place on the day your daughter was born, I believe that your subjects may be displeased if you were to go through with the ceremony" The king considered this, and eventually he nodded in agreement,
"Ok, set it back 2 weeks" Harros hesitated again "Harros tell me what is going on"
"Many of your subjects are uneasy about the birth of your daughter on the same day as the attack on Zoriss church, for that reason, I believe that the ceremony would further upset them"
"Are you suggesting that I forgo tradition to appease the superstition of a few people?" Myand'r asked in disbelief,
"My lord, I believe you will find it is far from a few, I believe due to the number of them that the ceremony would risk your daughter's life unnecessarily, I believe a private ceremony would be far safer" The king ran a hand over his beard in thought,
"So my daughter is to have a peasant's naming then?" Harros nodded regretfully "And the priestess will go along with this?"
"Given the concerns, yes"
"I will discuss the idea with Luadn'r" Harros bowed exiting the room.
