Chapter 8

A Different Perspective #1

AN: So sorry that I haven't been able to post it was my birthday and I went to Morro Bay to celebrate and I didn't bring my computer so I couldn't post but I was able to type up this chapter. I will probably be doing more of these later in the future just to add some of the thoughts of other characters into this I mean. It seems like it would be interesting how other characters react to the chaos with Yo-kai running rampant. This is a little shorter than normal but I hope you like it so here is chapter eight. Oh, and it is amazing how this fanfic reached 1000 views on my birthday.

Disclaimer: I still don't own Yo-Kai watch, if I did I would have made soft saves possible still because those were just really helpful and I feel if you have the determination to keep resetting like 30 times then you deserve that Yo-kai.

I thought it would be just a normal day today. It was the last day of testing and only one week to summer I couldn't wait. I was super excited this summer was going to be fun. I could go do whatever I wanted to. Stay up as long as I wanted to as long as I did disturb anyone. I could watch as much Anime as I wanted to. I couldn't wait, me and Jessica could hang out all the time, go to the mall and cafe, maybe check out spring tower and I would definitely have to take her to Sparkopolis, show her all the cool things there. Ahh if only I could live there it would be amazing. We could always check out the museum. She liked to go there a lot and it was pretty close to where we both live. We would usually meet there if we didn't at the school. I wouldn't even care how annoying my brother Joshua was or worry too much about my summer homework. It would be cool if dad came home but that probably wasn't going to happen. He was usually busy but that didn't bother me. Though I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was missing like I was missing a special someone in my life and I just couldn't shake the feeling. But today was not a normal day sure school was normal but when me and Jessica were walking home from school that day it was anything but normal. Both me and Jessica were talking about how excited we were for the summer and how we thought we did on tests.

Jessica said, "oh I bet I did terrible. I was so nervous the whole time."

I asked, "why? You are super smart Jessica I bet you did great even if you were

nervous. You could probably take that test blindfolded and still get one hundred percent. unlike me who probably completely failed."

Jessica said, "oh don't be too hard on yourself. You're smart too I bet you did just as

good as me."

I said, "psych I wish I mean I can get an okay grade but you probably got the best

grade in the class."

Jessica said, "well let's stop talking about tests and talk about summer."

I gleamed, "Psych, yeah I can't believe we are almost done with school it's cool."

Jessica said, "We definitely have to hang out with each other there are so many places

we could go."

I said, "yeah so cool I can't wait and next week is gonna be awesome."

Jessica said, "yea—" then we both saw something crazy we saw two kids both boys run

past us but that wasn't the crazy part, the crazy part was that with them were a white blob that floated in the air resembling a ghost and a bipedal red cat with two tails both lit with flames at the tip. "That was weird."

Then we saw a tiny creature with a bag for a face running off with a few things then a

weird bow of noodles with arms and legs, and the in a tree a few birds that looked depressed, on the telephone poles were odd yellow creatures that were bouncing around, and we were passed by a mini runner and a question mark. Both of us were frozen confused on what we just witnessed. We both screamed.

I said, "yes aliens are invading I told you little brother in your face."

Jessica asked, "how are you not scared of this?"

I said, "Psych I don't have time to be scared I am too excited. This is awesome."

Jessica said, "I don't think these are aliens but we should get home anyway let's go."

We then both ran Jessica was scared but I was amazed going full fangirl.

I said, "so cool." Of course, we went to Jessica's house since it was closer and it was

dangerous out there the aliens were hitting people with weird purple lights causing them to act strange and some of them were aggressive attacking people so it was chaos outside but I was still super psyched. Jessica's mom called my mom to tell her I was okay. Both our mothers were relieved to know we were okay. Many people were hiding in buildings and some homes were filled with these creatures so many people were running around frightened. I couldn't help but want one though some of them looked really cute like that red one with that boy in red and that boy with glasses and a sweater. I had no idea who they were but for some reason, they seemed familiar.

Eddie's POV

Everything I know is wrong, I thought the world I was living in was broken, the world was chaos. What the heck was going on. I was walking home by myself because my friends were just going home and I wanted to get ahead on my homework anyway but I did not expect to walk into breezy hills and see those things, those creepy little creatures running rampant around town. Whatever they were aliens or ghosts or monsters or something else they didn't make any scientific sense they just appeared out of nowhere. I can't handle it. If it's not scientific then I can't understand it and that's scary. I immediately ran home and started searching online for some sort of explanation and this had to happen right as school was almost over. I was hoping for some fun but instead, I was in my room scared of what was outside at least I wasn't the only one the whole town was in a state of panic. My mom was a total wreck in comparison to me though. She was hiding in our hidden panic room. I wish my dad was here but he would probably freak out too. This whole thing was a nightmare. I hope Bear, Nate, and Katie were all safe and Jessica and Hailey Ann and Shelly, I know Jessica and Hailey pretty well since we lived in the same neighborhood, I was good friends with those two girls since we were kids. We were still good friends but we didn't hang out as much anymore because we were in different classes. I know Hailey would be excited about these things, this was sort of her thing. I just hoped that she would stay out of trouble but I know that Jessica would keep her out of it and I know she wouldn't be scared either since she was best friends with Hailey. I have had a small crush on Shelly for a little bit so I was worried about her too. I don't know why but I just liked her, she was so cute when she was being shy. I hoped Katie, Bear, and Nate were safe too. Bear was a great guy that's why they were friends he always stood up for his friends and was just great to be friends with him and then there was Katie she wasn't afraid to tag along with them it was like she was one of the guys even if she didn't do everything with us she was a big part of the group it was like she brought out the better in us plus it was funny to see Nate gush over her. Last was Nate. He was just an average guy. I feel a little bad that we always tease him about that but I was just messing with him. Besides he was a nice guy. He was sort of the glue that held their group together. He stopped me and Bear from fighting over stupid things all the time and he cheered us up and help us out when we needed it when we barely ever did the same for him, he was always willing to hang out with us and he was just nice to talk to. Plus he brought that cool guy Lucas into the group and Lucas was super shy. We would have never known how awesome of a guy he was. Eddie hoped all of them were okay because he was lucky to have them.

Bear's POV

I can't believe I made it home in that mess, the world was going crazy, there were tons of weird creatures out and about all around town. It was really freaking me out good thing for me that Blossom heights seemed to be absolutely free of all those weird creatures. I don't have any idea why but I sure am grateful. The rest of the city wasn't as lucky. My parents wanted me home right as they heard about these weird creatures. They were freaky, so weird. Sure I act strong but I am really just a big scaredy-cat. I would be just a scared shy kid if it weren't for my friends I would probably just spend all my time alone catching fish and bugs and work. Eddie was the one who got me into video games he was the one who got Nate, Katie, and I into video games and science Me and Nate would probably be held back if Eddie and Katie didn't help us learn me more than Nate, Katie was my first friend who was a girl, She was so sweet, kind, smart, and cool I could see why Nate had a crush on her and she was so encouraging. She always told us to go for whatever chances we had. Then there was Nate average, Nate was a great guy even if he wasn't special. Sure they gave him a hard time but he was a great friend and all four of them together made a great team. Now Bear was just huddled up in his room waiting to see what would happen next, It was all he could do. He hoped everyone was okay.

Lucas' POV

Wow, I can't believe this was happening. Who would be stupid enough to break the seals in this town It couldn't have been any humans at least not normal ones anyway and almost no Yo-kai could break the seal only a few could and even then most didn't even know they existed or so I was told. There were very few suspects but it could have been any of them, the Yo-kai world was thrown into chaos at the arrival of a Yo-kai and human device and a transition of power. So the whole Yo-kai world was out of control. It was odd though how this boy just happened to get a Yo-Kai watch around the time this started and how his butler seemed to know a lot about the seals despite being a weaker Yo-kai. That Yo-kai was very suspicious but there were more important things to deal with and besides whatever was going isn't my responsibility. Right now I had to chase my friends. They were being chased by a Yo-kai and they could get hurt. Of course, Lina and Zoey were getting into trouble. They were constantly getting into trouble with their ghosts club I wasn't a formal member because I didn't go through all the research and I didn't plan with them I did hang out with them during their meeting and I would go with them to some places I mean most of the time when I went with them I had to protect them from Yo-kai so this was nothing new. I didn't mind of course they were my best and closest friends. Those two were always super close and they minded their own business with most students but one day Lina and Zoey investigated me. They claimed I was somehow linked to the paranormal so they started to hang out with me and they even made me go out on a ghost hunt with them. Even if I didn't spark any paranormal activity they still wanted to be friends so we continued to hang out. I liked it, they were the first people to hang out with him. After that, I made a few more friends but I still hung out with those two the most. The two girls in question were currently being chased by a few Yo-kai probably because they were thinking that it was a ghost. Blizzaria was by my side. She was one of the strongest Yo-kai and was a very loyal friend. Blizzaria was just one of the many Yo-kai friends I had, I may not be the most outgoing with people but I easily made friends with Yo-kai. Though I didn't summon them, they knew that they could count on me and that they were great friends. Now though he had a new friend in Nate and his Yo-kai friends as well. Almost every kid thought Nate was just an overly average boy but I could see through that there was a reason he got the Yo-Kai watch besides no one could be that average right? Either way, I know Nate could help with the problems in the Yo-kai world. I know that one day the human world and the yo-kai one will be united.

"Blizzaria we can't be that close together or people might suspect something especially

these girls," I said.

"Okay I'll float above and attack those Yo-kai so it seems like your the hero to your two

girlfriends," said Blizzaria mockingly rolling her eyes but jokingly. I blushed but nodded.

"But they aren't my girlfriends," I said with a blush.

"Whatever you say." said the cytokinetic yo-kai. The icy female yo-kai froze the Yo-kai

chasing the two young ghost hunters. I then rushed past the frozen Yo-kai and came to make sure the two girls were okay.

"Are you two alright?" I asked.

"Oh hey Lucas yeah," said Lina. Both girls looked back to see that the yo-kai chasing

them were gone.

"Hey where'd those weird creatures go?" asked Zoey.

"I don't know but I am just glad you two are safe you shouldn't be out here it's really

dangerous," I said.

"Aw man I thought they might have been ghosts," said Zoey.

"Yeah I got the same vibe from those creatures that we get on our hunts," said Lina.

"I think they are similar creatures but it is still super dangerous," I said.

"I guess you're right," said Lina.

"Aw well then we should probably go home then," said Zoey.

"That's good but what were you doing out here?" asked Lina.

"Oh, I was just worried about you guys since this seems like something you two would

like." I lied.

"Aw that's sweet, I would say that doesn't sound like you but it does," said Zoey.

"Hmmm I'm not so sure but okay thanks Lucas," said Lina.

"Huh, why would you think otherwise… " I said nervously.

"Hehe oh why I don't know," said Zoey with an evil look in her eyes.

"Well let's just get you guys home and don't worry about me I got myself my own good

luck charm," I said.

"Okay," said Zoey and Lina. The two girls and I then went home. I just hoped my other

human friend was doing okay… Nate may have been worried about me but I always had an ace up sleeve...

"Where's Nate?!" asked Nate's mother, Lily Adams was extremely worried about her

son who wasn't home yet and she called all his friend's parents and he wasn't at any of their houses.

"Hun don't worry I bet he's fine," said Aaron Adams who tried to assure his wife but was

secretly worried about Nate too.

"But even with all these weird… things around. What if he's hurt? What if he's in

trouble?" said Lily.

"Well, there isn't much we can do hun, besides he is a smart kid he can handle himself."

said Nate's dad.

"I sure hope so," said Lily.

Katie's POV

What the heck was going on, everything in my life was chaos. Okay that may be a bit of

an exaggeration. The whole town was in a riot with all these creatures, whatever they were, attacking all over town and the news said they were able to mess with people's minds. Now right as this started I ran home as fast as I could. When I got home both my parents hugged me. They were both relieved to see that I was safe and I was happy they were safe. They were all together. That moment of happiness faded after we sat down to watch the news since everything outside was going badly. Some of these things got into other people's houses. I was lucky that my house wasn't being infested by these things. What worried me though is after I was getting a little settled in waiting for this whole thing to pass, Nate's mother called my mom to see if Nate was here. So Nate was out there. Out there with all of those creatures we weren't even sure that this thing would pass we could only pray that they would just disappear or that this was all just some nightmare but Nate was out there maybe being attacked or worse and it wasn't just him, Bear was going to be terrified by all of these things and I couldn't even think about how Sarah was handling this she was a smart girl but I knew she would be really scared if she was cornered by one of these things, with Alex it was the reverse, I was worried she would try to fight them with her friends Eric and Kenny. They could get hurt. Then there was Eddie. I just couldn't help but worry about him. I did sort of have a small crush on him, he was smart and cool but he would probably be freaking out right now and I wasn't really that into him. He did act like he was better than everyone else but I was worried the most for Nate. He was out there probably alone and he was just an average kid he couldn't take down these things. Nate was a great friend, one of my closest and best, a kind boy but he wasn't exactly the most brave or strong or smart. He might have been with Lucas, she did see him talk to Lucas right after school and the two were becoming really good friends, really fast two they already hung out a lot and had tons of inside jokes. It was weird both boys barely knew each other and no one would expect them to have much in common yet somehow they were suddenly like best friends all of the sudden. Almost as if they knew something everyone else didn't and this wasn't the first strange thing going on with Nate ever since fifth grade started Nate started to act strangely. Still because he was average no one paid much attention to it. Now everyone called Nate average even me but I knew he was special. The fact that he was incredibly average was proof that it could be what made him special at least when I hung out with him he made me feel special. I just hope none of my friends are hurt. I don't know what I would do without any of them.

AN: So yeah this was a different viewpoint sorry if it was really bad this is my first time speaking from a first-person point of view and it just seemed like a good idea at the time and I had a few other ideas for other projects in my head so look forward towards those I am coming up with an idea for a story focusing on Jibanyan and Amy possibly in an AU, inspired and based on the movie just a whisker away. Great movie so keep an eye on it and my fanfic. Please check out my profile page to check out my favorite author and stories. Anyway hope you liked it. Please review.
