Chapter 9

Slimamander and the eye of evil

AN: Told you I was working on it. So yeah I started on this one since I wasn't able to post my last one and I finished today good for me and maybe good for you. This is back to the main plot so it is battle packed with a little extra plot if you can find it. So recap Nate and his friends are trying to fix the for some reason broken seals which are causing chaos throughout Springdale allowing power-hungry Yo-kai to run rampant, they fix most of them but there is still one left. Nate is running out of Yo-kai to help him and Lucas left to help his friends. Nate is Springdale's last hope can he and his Yo-kai friends save Springdale. Anyway Hope you like it. Enjoy.

So the final seal was in the school who would have guessed that Springdale Elementary was home to a seal of ancient Yo-kai energies. I mean I guess that explained why so many Yo-kai were attracted to the School. So we ran as fast as we could to get to the school dodging many Yo-kai on the way but even though the last seal was there, there were almost no Yo-kai around the School. It was weird behavior even for Yo-kai behavior. We were almost caught a few times but Jibanyan and Walkappa were quick to take them down. I hoped Lucas was okay he only had one Yo-kai friend with him but Blizzaria definitely could handle herself. Wait what was that weird green thing ahead.

Third-person POV

Nate, Jibanyan, Whisper, and Walkappa came to a stop. Right in front of the school by the gates was a floating eye engulfed in blue flames.

Nate stopped and asked, "hey whisper what is that thing."

Whisper brought out his Yo-kai pad but then paused, "oh this is Eyepo it is a Yo-kai that

can completely refresh a spirit of any kind."

Jibanyan said, "Wait so you knyow who this Yo-kai is."

Whisper said, "Yes and it's been quite a long time since I've seen these creatures they are very friendly. I wonder what happened to them maybe they disappeared because of lack of energy maybe that's why they came back they were able to absorb the overflow of Yo-kai energy." Eyepo noticed Whisper and with a happy eye expression, it hugged Whisper. The flames engulfing Whisper.

Nate and Walkappa said, "AHHHH."

Whisper giggled, "Oh stop it Eyepo, Oh I missed you too."

Jibanyan asked, "How are those flames nyot hurting you?"

Whisper explained, "Well you see Eyepo's flames actually heal Yo-kai. Oh, Eyepo can you heal my two friends here." Eyepo made a happy eye expression again and then dipped Jibanyan and Walkappa in its flames. Eyepo's flames burned away all the wounds on the two Yo-kai.

Whisper explained, "You see Eyepo here is mostly made of concentrated life force energy the leftovers from when a living being becomes a Yo-kai as well as whenever a baby is born."

Walkappa said, "Woah I'm like totally refreshed, man."

Jibanyan said, "yeah, I feel great nyan."

Nate said, "Cool thank you Eyepo."

Whisper said, "It's very important to keep your body in shape nice and healthy especially since I am sensing a very powerful aura."

Nate asked, "How strong?"

Whisper said, "Um well stronger than Sproink."

Walkappa shouted, "That powerful!"

Jibanyan said, "We could barely handle that guy."

Nate said, "Yeah and I almost used up all my medals of strong Yo-kai."

Whisper said, "Luckily for you, Eyepo can help you access your equipment that you put on other Yo-kai. This time I will help you decide which Yo-kai gets what equipment because some Yo-kai are better suited for certain equipment than others."

Jibanyan asked, "So does this mean I can take off this beat-up charm?"

Whisper said, "Yes, we can take off that charm and put on this bracelet." Whisper plucked the charm off of Jibanyan's neck and pulled from Eyepo the same rusted bracelet that Nate gave Komajiro and gave it to Jibanyan.

Jibanyan said, "Uh, well nyot much of an upgrade but better than that silly charm."

Whisper said, "That charm weakens your strength which you need a lot of and it only

increases your defense something you don't need."

Jibanyan said, "Hey!"

Whisper said, "You are more of a fast attacker you hit hard and move fast this brace gives you more of a punch while you fight at only the cost of some speed which you have plenty to spare."

Walkappa asked, "what about me?"

Whisper said, "That ring suits you well. Since you focus mostly on element attacks which the ring supports you in at the cost of defense something you won't need since you are in the back lines."

Walkappa said, "Coolio."

Jibanyan said, "You sure do have a disregard for defense Whisper."

Nate said, "Yeah shouldn't defense be important too."

Whisper said, "Yes but not in the case of these Yo-kai who should focus on their strengths which are attacks. You should give this to a Yo-kai who can soak in some blows or heals or gives good inspirits."

Nate asked, "Okay then what else should we do before this and why can't we just reason with this Yo-kai?"

Whisper said, "Well you can try but we should also be prepared to confront this Yo-kai especially if it is draining energy from the seal."

Jibanyan said, "Yeah it could be power crazy Nate."

Whisper said, "Normally I would say we get better equipment but we don't have time for that but we will be doing this later. Also, we should have got more food. How much do we have at the moment and what type."

Nate looked in his bag and said, "Well I have a few choco bars, some candy, and some milk."

Whisper said, "Well it's not the best spread but it will have to do. Now, Nate, there is only one other thing you can do. Summon four more Yo-kai."

Walkappa asked, "Why four dude?"

Jibanyan asked, "Yeah, shouldn't Nate summon all his available Yo-kai friends?"

Whisper explained, "Well you would think that to be the case but in reality, for some odd reason the number six is very important when it comes to humans and Yo-kai. The bond of six Yo-kai and a human create a phenomenal thing."

Nate said, "Okay hmm which Yo-kai should I summon." Nate pulled out all his medals and looked over all of them.

Whisper said, "Oh, go for punching Bagette and Grainpa those are two very powerful Yo-kai."

Jibanyan said, "Yeah they really put up a good fight."

Nate said, "Okay then come on out my Yo-kai friend calling Grainpa, Yo-kai medal do your thing." Nate tossed the coin in the air and then inserted it into the watch but it did nothing.

"Sorry at the moment me and the grain club are unable to answer your call at the time we are currently in France learning to study bread making skills." said the watch in Grainpa's voice.

Nate said in confusion, "What?!"

Walkappa explained, "Well you see man, that Yo-kai watch can only summon Yo-kai here in japan. So if a Yo-kai like up and leaves Japan you can't like summon them, dude." Whisper and Jibanyan nodded.

Nate said, "Okay then who else should I call."

Jibanyan said, "Why not that Cadin guy."

Nate said, "That's a great idea, he's like a warrior. Okay, come on out my friend, calling Cadin Yo-kai medal do your thing."

Summoning Charming!

Alarming

Boom, Boom,

Walla, Walla,

Dance, Dance,

Charming!

Cadin min min.

Cadin came out from the pink swirls and said, "Why hello there Nate how can I help thee. Min Min."

Nate said, "Um well could you help us possibly fight this really strong Yo-kai."

Cadin said, "Why of course I could min min. To battle."

Nate said, "Wait Battle is our last resort okay."

Cadin said, "Understood."

Nate said, "Now next up hmm… oh, I know. Come on out my Yo-kai friend calling Tattletell Yo-kai medal do your thing."

Summoning Mysterious!

A-boo-Shiggy

Boo-shiggy

Boogie-woogie

Cling clang delirious

Mysterious!

Tattletell.

Tattletell came out and said, "Telltell tell." (What's up kid?)

Nate said, "Tattletell we need your help to take down a strong Yo-kai you in?"

Tattletell said, "Tell." (Yeah.)

Whisper said, "She's in."

Nate said, "Now let's add another healer to this party, come on out my Yo-kai friend, calling hungramps, Yo-kai medal do your thing.

Summoning Heartful

Speedy artful

Sing la-la-la

Everywhere

Heartful

Hungramps.

Hungramp said, "Oh why hello there Tattletell how are you?"

Nate butt in before the side conversion could start, "Sorry to interrupt but Hungramps can you help us battle a powerful Yo-kai."

Hungramps said, "Sure."

Nate said, "Yes."

Jibanyan said, "Welcome to the team."

Nate said, "Next Yo-kai come on out my friend calling Baku, Yo-kai medal do your thing."

Summoning Eerie

Flippity-dee

Lookie-lee Lookie-lee

Bubba

Eerie

Buhu hu.

Nate said confused at the depressed bird Yo-kai, "What Buhu?"

Buhu said, "Oh you must not have wanted to summon me. Sorry, I'm such a nuisance."

Nate said, "No no it's fine really Buhu it's just will you fight with us?"

Buhu said, "Sure it's not like I have anything better to do."

Whisper said, "Great then we have all the Yo-kai we need here Tattletell you take this charm, and Cadin you take this badge." Whisper then gave Tattletell Jibanyan's old charm and Cadin Komasan's old badge.

Jibanyan said, "Nyow let's hurry we already wasted enough time." Nate and his Yo-kai friends then ran into the Schoolyard where they saw no Yo-kai it was completely empty.

Walkappa said, "Oh there it is." Walkappa pointed at a statue near the gymnasium that was engulfed in a dark aura."

Whisper approached and said, "Hmm well nothing seems to be here so I guess I'll just fix it up and we'll be out of here." but then the whole city started to shake and out came a giant three-headed snake-like Yo-kai. It was massive compared to Nate and his Yo-kai friends.

"Finally after all thossse yearsssss, I am free at lasssst. I am finally awake from my hundred yearsssss of ssssslumber. I will devour you like a sssssnack. With thissss new power ssssurging through my body, I will be unssssssstoppable," said the Giant three-headed snake Yo-kai.

Nate asked Whisper worried about the powerful Yo-kai, "W-whisper what is that thing?!"

Whisper brought out his Yo-kai pad and replied, "That is Slimamander, it says here that he is an overwhelmingly strong Yo-kai, he is the reason there are seals all around town but now he has absorbed the power from the seals that once held him back he is now even stronger."

Slimamander said, "Hulu!" before shooting beams of fire from all three of it's closed eyelids. Nate and his Yo-kai friends were about to be hit but then a blue circle that looked similar to the one that appeared on his watch when he summoned all those Yo-kai at once. The ring completely protected Nate from the flames and the Yo-kai in the circle took less damage the same could not be said for Whisper who was burnt to a crisp.

Whisper said, "see I told you *cough* the power of six is strong this seal will protect

you. Now if you'll excuse me I ask going to visit Eyepo Jibanyan you are in charge of helping Nate." Whisper tossed his Yo-kai pad to Nate who caught it.

Jibanyan said, "okay. Everyone attack."

"Yahhh!" yelled everyone except Tattletell who yelled, "tell tell!" (Let's get um.)

Jibanyan, Cadin, and Buhu attacking Slimamander directly. Jibanyan punching, Cadin slicing with his sword, and Buhu pecking with her beak and sometimes slapping her wings. Walkappa stayed back to attack with his hydrokinesis but also protected the two healers Hungramps stayed back to heal but Tattletell jumped in to attack sometimes by slapping Slimamander. Slimamander seemed to take blow after blow but kept up its relentless attacks.

"Bulu," it said smacking Jibanyan away with its tongue.

"Urh yah yah." said Jibanyan as he got back up to fight.

"Bululu." Slimamander said, licking Buhu away.

"Min min." cried Cadin driving his sword into Slimamander to no effect.

"Bonkyahonk!" said Slimamander shooting flames again from his eyelids.

"Ya," said Walkappa, doing his best to block the flames with a gush of water.

"Nyate nyothing we do is working." said Jibanyan.

"Jibanyan try using a soultimate," suggested Nate.

"Okay here it goes Paws of Fury," shouted Jibanyan letting loose a barrage of punches

that struck all of Slimamander's heads sending them flying back and forth but just like all the other attacks it did nothing but of course all of Slimamander's eyelids popped open the left and right with tongues out and the middle with a big red eye. Whisper came back and said, "Nate use the targeting function on the watch."

"Oh okay," said Nate, Nate double-clicked the button on the Yo-kai watch and the

needles on the Yo-kai watch fused to form a pin with a glowing red marker and the lense was up. Nate aimed it at the eye and with a click of the button on the watch. The pin then hit Slimamander's eye. It didn't do any damage but Nate then said, "everyone attack that pin."

Cadin said, "Alrighty min min." Cadin then rushed up to the eye and slashed it.

"Bulub." said Slimamander but in pain.

Whisper explained, "you see Slimamander has one very big weakness one, an Achilles

heel if you will. That eye is very sensitive so target that."

Nate said, "Okay that's good to know." Jibanyan and Buhu attacked the eye while Cadin

And Walkappa covered them blocking fire and tongue attacks. Hungramps was just healing everyone while Tattletell healed and landed an attack every now and then.

"Bonklabonk," said Slimamander lifted all of its heads and resealed its eyelid mouths. The pin from the Yo-kai watch came back to Nate.

"Tell tell," said Tattletell. (This is one tricky Yo-kai)

Walkappa said, "You got that right." before firing another torrent. Nate tossed another Choco bar to Jibanyan, he had been giving all of the Yo-kai food to help them keep their strength up.

Cadin said, "I shall use my soultimate, Cicada Cut." Cadin then swung his sword in a swift horizontal arch hitting every head.

"Bululu," said Slimamander fighting back with a blast of flames. Everyone was scorched but Nate.

Nate said, "Here!" tossing the remainder of his food to the Yo-kai. They ate quickly before going back into battle.

Cadin said, "I have failed thee forgive me."

Nate said, "It's fine Cadin just be more careful next time."

Jibanyan said, "Speak for yourself you almost got us all killed again."

Nate said, "Buhu use your Soultimate."

Buhu said, "Okay but it probably won't help sorry. Well here goes nothing Boohoo Blast." Buhu spread her wings and with a powerful swoop, she created a dark gust of wind popping all of Slimamander's mouths open again.

Nate cheered, "Yeah Buhu."

Jibanyan said, "Yeah Buhu great job Nyan."

Whisper said, "Excellent work."

Cadin came up to Buhu and said, "Your attack was incredible."

Walkappa said, "Yeah man awesome job."

Hungramps said, "Yes you did good little birdy."

Tattletell said, "Tell Tell tell." (great job ya bird)

Buhu was overwhelmed by the praise and blushed, "I have never been praised before thank you all glad I wasn't a nuisance."

Jibanyan saw that the eye was on the right head and said, "Nyate use that pin thingy again."

Nate said, "Oh right." Nate then hit the eye with the pin again.

Cadin said, "Come my friends let's not waste a second, attack!" and just like last time, Slimamander's eye was brutally attacked by the Yo-kai.

"Bululu, Bulululu, Bululu." Slimamander cried, "Bonkyabonk." Slimamander resealed its eyes and started to absorb aura energy from all across town. All the Yo-kai that were seen by the human eye became invisible again and all the chaos stopped but Slimamander was getting fully charged and if he wasn't stopped he would eat every human in Springdale and maybe the Yo-kai too.

Whisper said, "Oh no here it comes." Nate and the other Yo-kai wanted to react but it was too late.

Slimamander said, "Triple Trouble!" Slimamander then let its heads' articulated and the eye shuffled between all the heads before Slimamander closed them all again to release a ruthless bombardment of head bashes. The attacks completely decimated Nate's team of Yo-kai. Cadin, Buhu, and Hungramps were all defeated weirdly they became trapped in blue wisps that floated over to circle Nate.

Whisper answered the question he knew was in Nate's head, "I found out that Yo-kai defeated in battle alongside a human change into their natural aura state to protect the human." Nate looked at the wisps with sadness. Jibanyan, Walkappa, and Tattletell struggled to get up.

Nate said with newfound determination, "Walkappa use mega waterfall."

Walkappa got up inspired by Nate and said, "You got it man, Mega Waterfall." The kappa Yo-kai created a powerful blast of water that rained on Slimamander damaging all of its heads. Jibanyan then jumped up and punched the middle one causing it to open and reveal where the eye was.

Nate said, "Now Tattletell."

Tattletell said, "Telltell." (You got it) "Loving Slap." Tattletell jumped up and with an aura powered hand she slapped Slimamander right in the eye and just like that Slimamander fell to the floor defeated. The wisps around Nate changed back to the Yo-kai they were.

Nate said, "Oh thank goodness you're back."

Cadin asked Jibanyan, "Did we do it?"

Jibnyan said, "Yeah Nyan it was amazing."

Cadin said, "Yes we have triumphed."

Hungramps said, "Well that was invigorating am I right my friend."

Tattletell said, "Tell." (Yeah it was)

Hungramps laughed, "haha I forget you have the energy of a youngster."

Walkappa said, "We did it, man."

Buhu said, "Oh we won yeah I guess." but right, as they were celebrating Slimamander's middle head, moved and revealed the eye. Slimamander got back up and with its middle eye, it shot a beam of fire but before the beam could connect the same Yo-kai that made the yellow doorway in terror time appeared and took a defensive stance blocking the fire with an aura shield. Venoct, the name of the Yo-kai, then unleashed a thousand aura dragons. Those aura dragons obliterated the remainder of the ancient powerful Yo-kai.

After the smoke cleared the Yo-kai turned around to look at human and his Yo-kai friends. Then after a good stare, Venoct disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Whisper asked, "Why does that guy have to be so mysterious."

Jibanayn said, "I know right."

Nate said, "I'm just grateful he saved our butts again."

Jibanyan said, "Again, how come I always miss the good stuff."

Lucas then ran in followed by Blizzaria saying, "Nate, Nate are you okay?"

Nate said, "Yeah we're all fine thanks to that Venoct guy again."

Lucas said, "Oh that's good. Can't believe I missed it but it's just good that you are fine."

Whisper said, "Yeah yeah but before we tell you about it we have to fix this seal." Whisper then went up to the seal and said, "Oh seal heed my words. And… how about… closed sesame." and just like that, all the seals were fixed.

Nate said, "Yeah we did it now how about we go to my place to celebrate, besides I bet my parents are super worried. Jibanyan, Whisper feel free to have a party or something."

Whisper said, "Woo hoo."

Jibanyan said, "Nyeah." Then the two boys and the Yo-kai left off to Nate's house. The chaos was over for now.

AN: So there it is I will be taking some time to work on my other fanfic about Yo-kai but I will still be working on this one it will just be a little longer. Anyway so yeah pretty much Venoct did save the day but this was a great battle for Nate and this will spark some stuff in the future but yeah Nate is not going to befriend any of the bosses at least for now. The next stories will be more quest-based so we won't be seeing any bosses for a little. If you have any requests, suggestions, or custom quests just say, I could really use it. That's all for now.
