Chapter 11

Tuesday- A few final fifth-grade romances.

AN: Okay So I had this one done a few days ago I just didn't have my computer but I have it now so I was finally able to put this up. Here it is chapter 11. Hope you like it. It might not be what you expected but there is a point to this.

Disclaimer: I still don't own Yo-kai Watch, if I did then Shogunyan would be obtainable during the main story in two and three.

After yesterday's adventure in Mount Wildwood Nate spent all night making posters to promote water perseveration like he promised the Droplette. He already told Bear about it and today he was hoping to tell everyone else in his class about it and they could help him spread the word throughout the whole school. Of course today he was late because he stayed up all night.

"Oh no, I'm late. Whisper why didn't you wake me up?" asked Nate as he dashed out the door and started for school.

Whisper said, "Oh you're being dramatic your not that late."

Jibanyan said, "Yeah nyan you'll make it on time what's the rush."

Nate said, "Yeah but I was hoping to talk about these posters. The more people who know the more people who can help spread the word."

Whisper said, "You'll have plenty of time to talk about those during your recess Nate."

Jibanyan said, "Or you could always go for lunch Nyate."

Nate said, "Well first thing's first I need to get to school." Nate soon made his way to school but there was no one outside so he assumed he was late and ran into the school up to his class but when he got in no one was there except Mr. Johnson who was getting ready for class.

Mr. Johnson noticed Nate and said, "Good Morning Nate how are you?"

Nate said, "Doing good Mr. Johnson. Thank you for asking."

Mr. Johnson said, "Well your in here a bit early anything on your mind?"

Nate said, "Oh, no, I just thought I was late for class sorry if I am bothering you."

Whisper whispered, "Nate this could be your chance to talk about your posters."

Jibanyan pitched in, "Yeah Nyate tell him."

Nate then said, "Oh but there is something I want to talk about."

Mr. Johnson asked, "Okay, what is it you want to talk about?"

Nate pulled out his flyers and said, "Um well you see I realized what a problem or water wastage is and I just wanted to try to prevent water wastage by informing people about it. I was thinking we could put these posters up all over school."

Mr. Johnson took the flyers from Nate and examined them, "Hmm, well it seems like a great idea, Nate. Can I take these? I could show them to the principal because you need permission to put these things up and I could also make a few more of these."

Nate's face lit up and said, "That would be great thank you, Mr. Johnson."

Mr. Johnson said, "No problem Nate. Oh, but can I ask you one little favor?"

Nate said, "Okay, sure."

Mr. Johnson said, "I want you to tell the class about the idea when they come in."

Nate seemed a little panicked but said, "Okay, I can do that." Nate then took a seat since class was about to start in a few minutes and he needed to prepare what to say to the class.

Jibanyan said, "Wow Nyate you look as white as Whisper."

Whisper said, "There is no need to worry Nate you'll do fine and me and Jibanyan will be by your side as you present."

Nate said, "Thanks you guys I just hope I can figure out what to say."

Meanwhile…

Katie was hanging out with her best friend Sarah and her other friend Alex. Eddie was hanging out with Bear as usual and those two were hanging out with Andy, Daniel, and Mark today and Lucas too.

"So how have things been going with your wildlife club?" asked Sarah, Katie's bookwormish best friend with short ink-colored hair with a pink flower clip, and she wore a pink outfit.

"Oh okay, I guess we are still looking for a cool secret base but that's all I can tell you about that. You ever wanna join we could use someone like you," said Alex, one of Katie's closest friends, she had short grey-ish black hair that was always covered by a yellow cap with blue M on it. She usually wore a white shirt with a red vest and brown shorts as well as a pair of sneakers.

"Really, well I don't know I'm not really much of an outdoorsy person," said Sarah.

"Yeah, I figured so, what about you Katie? You wanna join the wildlife club?" asked Alex.

"Yeah, that seems perfect for you Katie you love going outside and catching bugs. Why not join the wildlife club," said Sarah.

"Huh, oh I don't think so," said Katie staring off at her two other friends.

"Why not Katie?" asked Sarah.

"Ha, I knew she'd say that. You got boy issues, so what's up with you and your other friends?" asked Alex.

"Oh nothing Bear and Eddie are getting along fine and Lucas seems to have gotten used to us and I got used to him he's not that bad sort of cool if you get to know him and Nate is less weird back to being his average self," said Katie.

"Huh well I have been having issues with boys too." said Alex, "They can be so dumb, and right now Kenny and Eric have been acting weird."

"Oh, well maybe you should talk to them," said Katie.

"I tried but they keep avoiding me for some reason," said Alex.

"Huh that is weird," said Sarah.

"I bet they'll be back to normal soon Alex. My friends did and Eric and Kenny are very loyal friends plus you are such a great friend Alex so cool and awesome they wouldn't avoid you for no reason," said Katie.

"Yeah I guess but hey Katie when are you going to tell him that you like him?" asked

Alex.

"Yeah Katie you are going to have to tell him sooner or later," said Sarah. Both girls

were grinning at the girl in question.

"I'll tell him soon," said Katie looking back at her other friends Bear, Eddie, and Lucas.

They were all happy and good friends but they were missing someone.

"You better tell him soon Katie," said Sarah.

The bell rang and it was time for class to start and everyone got to class as quickly as

they could. Nate was extremely nervous. He was still sitting at his desk going through what he was going to say in front of his class in his head. Everyone entered like normal but a few kids were surprised to see Nate in the class already namely Katie, Eddie, Bear, and Lucas. He was normally early for class mostly late so this was unusual for him. When all his classmates took their seats Mr. Johnson announced, "Today, class Mr. Adams here came to my class early and brought up a certain topic to my attention. Nathen will you come up here and tell the class what you told me?"

Nate took a deep breath and then with his two Yo-kai companions he went up in front of

the class and said, "Um well I wanted to talk about the water wastage problem in Springdale, no not just Springdale but also most of the world. We are lucky to have good water some places don't have that but still every year we are wasting thousands of gallons of water in fact sometimes we have to import water from other countries. We can fix this problem though at least a little bit. If we each do our part we can save hundreds of gallons of water. All we have to do is find ways to make the most of our water. Like using water in from our showers to water plants or making sure our water faucets are turned off. Every drop counts." Nate then let out a sigh of relief and took his seat his job was done.

Whisper said, "Good job Nate, you did great up there."

Jibanyan said, "Yeah Nyate you were really confident onyce you started going nyan."

Nate whisper, "Thanks guys but I don't think I could do that again."

Mr. Johnson said, "Thank you, Nate, and class, he is very correct every drop counts. So instead of giving you a summer essay project, I will just have you all write a simple report on the water of Japan; how we get it, how much we use, and how we use it. That or you could keep a record of how you saved water this summer."

Most of the class smiled and said, "Yay."

Mr. Johnson said, "Now let's move onto our main class assignments, today we will be…" but most of the class was still happy about the lowered amount of homework.

After some class time, it was finally recess for Nate's class. Today Nate was playing soccer with most of his classmates. Nate was on a team with Bear, Eddie, Mark, Casey, Daniel, Chelsea, and Meg. On the other side were Andy, Alex, Eric, Kenny, Katie, Lucas, Lulu, and Matt. It was pretty close Daniel was a good leader against Andy who was the other team captain and things were back and forth. The game was almost over Nate had the ball and was running to the goal. The score was tied the next goal would win the match. Nate dodged Lucas and Lulu then passed to Meg. Meg then passed to Bear but Bear lost the ball to Andy who passed to Katie. Katie then rushed to the goal and kicked as hard as she could. The ball rocketed to the goal but before it could get close to Eddie who was the goalie, Nate intercepted with his head, and with a smile, he kicked the ball to Mark much to Katie's dismay and surprise. Mark then rushed to the goal and prepared to kick the ball into the goal but then the ball was stolen by Alex who darted from the side of the field with a grin on her face at her impressive steal and by the look on Mark's face. Alex was about to kick it when both Kenny and Eric got in her way.

"I got it," said Eric.

"No, I got," said Kenny.

"No, I do," said Eric.

"Guys stop I got this," said Alex trying to get through but suddenly the two boys just stopped in their tracks and both blocked Alex from the shot giving Daniel a chance to steal and make the final shot before the bell rang. Alex stormed off the field in a huff while the two boys just stood dazed. Daniel came up to Andy with a smug look and said, "Good game."

Andy said, "Yeah but next time we'll win."

Daniel said, "You're on." The two boys then laughed.

Katie came up to Nate and said, "Nice block."

Nate scratched the back of his head and said, "huh, yeah nice shot Katie you guys probably would have won if I didn't pull that flook."

Katie said, "No that was all you Nate."

Nate said, "Thanks but no it wasn't you're too kind."

Katie said, "It's true your on a roll Nate."

Nate said, "Thanks, Katie."

Whisper then said, "She's right you are on quite the roll." mockingly but Nate didn't seem to notice.

At lunch…

Today Nate was hanging out with Eddie, Bear, and Katie, and they were joined by Alex and Sarah. Eddie and Sarah were sort of in their own world talking to each other. While Bear, Katie, Nate, and Alex were still talking about the soccer game.

Bear said, "Yeah that was such a great steal, Alex."

Alex said, "Yeah but that goal Katie made was amazing too."

Katie said, "Not as amazing as Nate block."

Nate said, "Yeah but Bear did a great job passing and receiving we wouldn't have done it without him."

Katie said, "Too bad about your shot Alex."

Bear said, "Yeah that was disappointing near the end I thought you had that one."

Nate said, "Me too what was up with Kenny and Eric? You three are usually in perfect sync."

Bear said, "I was worried when you were all put on the same team."

Alex said, "Well those two have been acting really weird lately I don't know what's up with them. I am starting to worry its something with me."

Katie said, "No way it's you, Alex, something must be up with them."

Nate said, "Yeah beside it looked like those two were fighting each other."

Whisper said, "Hmm that's curious."

Alex said, "But enough about that thanks for the homework pass Nate."

Bear said, "Yeah thanks dude I really wasn't looking forward to that essay but now I can just do the log. I didn't think you were doing anything about that yet since you just brought it yesterday.

Sarah and Eddie joined the conversation Sarah said, "Yeah thanks Nate I also think we need to get better at saving water. That was an amazing idea."

Eddie said, "You did great speaking in front of class Nate you even had all your notes memorized."

Nate said embraced, "Oh no, I didn't even have notes I made posters sure but I thought I was late to class so I rushed into class but when no one but Mr. Johnson was there he asked me what I was doing so early in class that I panicked. I showed him the posters but it was his idea to speak in front of class. I just scrambled up what I had in my head."

Katie said, "That's even more impressive Nate. You did great."

Eddie said, "And you made all those posters I have seen them all across School it must have taken you forever to make these."

Sarah said, "Yeah and they are so well made too." pointing out the design similar to the Droplette.

Bear said, "This must have taken you all night."

Nate said, "Yeah but most of these are just copies that Mr. Johnson made."

Alex then shouted, "Stop it, you guys!" Nate, Sarah, Eddie, and Bear turned around to see Alex and Katie trying to break up a fight between Kenny and Eric.

Katie said, "There's no need to fight."

Kenny said, "He started it."

Eric said, "No he did."

Kenny said, "How dare you accuse me."

Eric said, "Why you." The two boys then shoved the girls away and went into a straight-up brawl.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" said the Janitor. Who broke up the fight, "I'm take in you both to the principal's office." He then grabbed both boys to the office. Nate rushed to Katie's side and Sarah rushed to Alex's.

"Are you okay?" he asked Katie.

Katie said, "I'm fine but what about Alex."

Alex said, "I'm alright but I want to know what the heck is going on with my two friends."

Whisper said, "Even more interesting."

Jibanyan asked, "Can you just spit it out already?"

Like most days the rest of school was fairly normal other than the fact that Kenny and Eric weren't in class until it was almost over but after School, something interesting happened. Maya a girl in class who rarely ever spoke to Nate came up to him and actually spoke to him of course he was with Bear and Eddie at the time but still. Maya was accompanied by Shelly the shyest girl in class maybe the school and Eddie's crush. They made for an odd pair. Maya was bold from her actions to her very clothing while Shelly was the polar opposite she was very soft-spoken and didn't stand out at all.

Maya came up and asked demandingly, "What do you three think about Shelly's appearance?!"

Nate said concerned about Maya's tone, "Um she looks nice. Very simple look.

Eddie responded dazed, "She looks really pretty."

Bear said, "She looks good. I mean I think."

Maya said, "Uhh why did I come to you guys. One of you doesn't have any fashion sense, one of you wears headphones all the time, and I guess you're just average. Anyone who has at least a bit of fashion sense can tell that she is the plainest jane there ever was."

Shelly said, "Um, don't I get a say in this."

Maya said, "No, I can't have you staying like this you show no personality with this outfit."

Eddie said, "I think she looks beautiful."

Bear said, "Um I can't really say anything can I since I have no fashion sense can I."

Nate said, "Wow Maya I didn't know you were this passionate about fashion."

Maya said, "Of course I am now since you are the only one out of you all that knows anything, I am going to have you help me on my quest to help Shelly find her style."

Shelly said, "Oh no you don't have to. I don't want to cause you any trouble."

Nate said, "No Problem I am happy to help."

Maya said, "Like you had a choice now come on let's go we should head to shopper's row first." Eddie and Bear tried to follow but Maya said, "Oh no you don't I can't have you guys distracting either of these two while I try to help Shelly's style. So please leave us be."

Bear said, "Fine come on Eddie it looks like Nate got trapped in Maya's shopping spree. Ha, I lucked out." and he dragged Eddie away reluctantly.

Eddie said, "Hey put in a good word for me."

Maya said, "Ha that won't work I'm way out of your league." She then dragged Nate and Shelly along with her to Shopper's row both a bit worried, confused, and regretful. Whisper followed along with a smirk on his face.

Whisper said, "Well Nate I think you are about to gain a new appreciation for clothing."

Jibanyan said, "Good luck you two I'm gonna head back home and take a nyap see ya."

Whisper said, "Bye Jibanyan."

Nate whispered, "Help me!" but he was just dragged to shopper's row.

Nate asked, "So what are we doing first? How does work exactly?"

Maya said, "Uh you don't know anything, why did I invite you along anyway."

Shelly asked, "Um should we go check out some clothes or something?"

Maya said, "well we are here to find ideas for your new look so we should start with a few magazines so let's head to the bookstore."

Whisper said, "Hmm yes most of the latest and greatest fashions are put into magazines, hmm, I would love to see how fashion has changed over the years." The three then headed to the book store which was pretty successful considering Maya was happy for once today. They found many Magazines filled with ideas. Of course, Nate had to pay for all of them but he didn't mind, he had been collecting change that Yo-kai dropped when the poofed away. They dropped a lot of stuff when they disappeared. Nate didn't understand why but Whisper told him Yo-kai take stuff from other Yo-kai all the time so it was fine. Nate had a pretty good amount of money now because of all the Yo-kai he fought.

Maya said, "Thanks again Nate for paying, so hey Shelly do any of these look interesting to you. With all these choices there has to be something that you like here."

Shelly said, "I don't know these all look a bit um, too mature I mean I think I'm too young to wear any of this do you see anyone our age wearing this."

Maya said, "what are you talking about I see tons of kids wearing this."

Whisper said, "Hmm it seems Shelly needs a little push to try something more daring."

Nate asked, "Yeah but how are we going to do that?"

Whisper said, "Ah there is a simple solution we get a Yo-kai to inspirit her. Dazzabel should be able to help here she would be perfect for this conundrum."

Nate said, "But didn't she go overboard last time."

Whisper said, "Well yes but I think this a situation in which her influence is vital, and with Maya's guidance I think this should turn out okay."

Nate said, "If you say so." Nate then fished her medal out of his pocket and said "come on out my friend, calling my friend Dazzabel. Yo-kai medal do your thing." Nate flipped the medal into the air and then caught it and inserted his watch.

The skeleton Yo-kai with a bow said, "why hello there darling. Ooh, shopping are we. uh so plain I see why you summoned me. Well at least someone here has good taste." referring to Shelly and Maya respectively.

Nate said, "Can you help us help Shelly."

Dazzable said, "how can I say no to an opportunity like this. I will help fix this mess."

Nate said, "Thank you."

Dazzable said, "Time to work my magic." Dazzable then tossed an aura at Shelly. Shelly then froze in place.

Maya looked at Shelly concerned, "Shelly are you okay."

Shelly said, "No, I am not I need to get out of these clothes. I finally understand what you were trying to tell me. I will become fashionable no, why stop there I will become the queen of fashion." Shelly then rushed out of the bookstore and into a clothing store Dazzable following behind.

Maya said, "Shelly wait." and she chased after the other girl.

Whisper said, "Nate you should go after those two they may need your help."

Nate said, "What did Dazzable do." Nate and Whisper ran into the clothing store where they saw Shelly with many bright and crazy clothes.

Maya said, "Shelly stop none of this is you."

Shelly said, "No this just screams beauty and elegance."

Maya said, "No way it's too, too much."

Nate said, "Yeah it's a little too extreme. I think you are going to far."

Dazzable said, "How dare you I may not be able to shout my anger at your friend but I will show you the true fierceness of a fashion master." Nate and Whisper both looked worried. Maya just rushed to stop Shelly.

Whisper said, "Nate summon a Yo-kai to stop Dazzable."

Nate said, "Okay come on out my Yo-kai friend calling Jibanyan."

Dazzable said, "No you don't Stylish Stab." Dazzable the knocked away the medal with her umbrella and then she poked several holes in Nate's pants so all his other medals would fall out.

Nate said, "AH!"

Whisper said, "New plan run." Nate and Whisper then ran out of the store as quickly as possible.

Dazzable chased after them saying, "I'm not finished with you get back here."

Nate asked, "How do we stop her Whisper?"

Whisper looked on his Yo-kai pad and said, "Ah here we go it says that we can stop any female Yo-kai in her tracts with a Yo-kai called Cupistol."

Nate said, "Um well I don't think we'll be able to find one at the moment."

Whisper said, "We're in luck Cupistols can be found around this time of year they love to make people fall in love and they even trick some humans into falling in love with them."

Nate said, "Okay." Nate searched around franticly while being chased with the watch. He soon hit one in its light. The pink-haired lover Yo-kai was standing above a couple inspiriting a man and a woman. "Hey Cupistol!" The lover Yo-kai looked Nate's way surprised to see anyone that could see him.

"Aren't you the rare one," said Cupistol, "I've heard of you, you're the kid with the Yo-kai watch you have quite the reputation you know."

Nate said, "Who cares can you help us? Me and my friend Whisper here are being chased by a Dazzable that we angered."

Cupistol said, "Nmnm you never anger the lady but hey I will help you out, my good sir here take my medal you might need it." Cupistol tossed his medal at Nate and then prepared his pistol.

Dazzable caught up and said, "I'll teach you a thing or two about fashion." but before she even got close Cupistol shot her in the heart without even looking. Dazzable then said, "Haha oh hiya. I didn't know you were such good friends with such a charming and handsome Yo-kai."

Cupistol said, "Ha, see I could be a very powerful ally but right now just fuse my essence with her so she can reach her full potential. The lady's wishes first after all."

Nate asked, "What are you talking about."

Cupistol sighed, "Uh, ask your white blobby friends to explain it to you."

Whisper said, "I am not a blob, and let's see here. Oh, Nate, it seems here that Cupistol is talking about fusion like with roughraff and Jibanyan but a little more permanent well you don't exactly have the abilities to do this properly there might be a way to do this in a way."

Cupistol said, "All gifted humans can fuse Yo-kai they just need to be creative. It may cost you my medal but it will be worth it."

Whisper explained, "Oh so what you have to do Nate is summon Dazzable and Cupistol at the same time."

Nate asked, "Won't that damage the watch?"

Whisper said, "Yes but we can just head to timers and more to get it fixed."

Nate said, "Okay then I'll do it."

Cupistol said, "Make sure to put mine on bottom and Dazzable's on top."

Nate said, "Okay let's do this it's fusion time," Nate tossed both medals in the air, "Yo-kai medals do your things." Nate inserted both coins in at once Cupistol's broke but two spirals of light energy came out one pink one yellow they both then fused together to form one bright pink one.

A new skeleton Yo-kai appeared before Nate and Whisper, this one had a blond wig, and she was wearing a full-on dress and she had green and yellow eyes.

"Hello, let me reintroduced myself, I am not the same arrogant and ignorant young

yo-kai I once was I am a changed Yo-kai I am known as Rattelle I am much more refined than my old self. I must apologize for my past actions I was young and foolish but now with the influence of Cupistol I now know what is really fashionable please let me try to help that poor plain girl again," said Rattelle.

Nate said, "um I'm not so sure about this."

Rattelle begged, "Please I promise you won't regret it."

Whisper said, "this is a whole different Yo-kai than Dazzabel you should at least give

her a chance."

Nate said, "Fine but we better find Shelly and Maya first." Nate ran back to the clothing

store with Rattelle and Whisper and Nate picked up his dropped medals.

Whisper said, "Hmm I will take care of these for now Nate."

Nate said, "ThanksWhisper."

Rattelle said, "Sorry again."

Nate said, "I forgive you but it looks like Shelly and Maya left."

The shopkeeper said, "oh if you are looking for your two friends I overheard the one in

leopard print say that they were heading to that fancy cafe Shanista place."

Nate said, "Thank you." Nate then ran out to head to Cafe Shanista again followed by

his Yo-kai company. There Shelly and Maya were sitting out on a table outside. Nate ran up to them.

Maya said, "there, you feeling better Shelly? what got into back there?"

Shelly said, "I don't know I don't even remember going into that store."

Maya noticed Nate come up and glared, "oh look who decided to show up, how could

you ditch us back there could have used your help back there you know."

Nate said, "sorry, sorry I just rushed out to make sure I paid for all the magazines we

got and I went back to make sure you guys could afford all the clothes Shelly grabbed but I came as fast as I could."

Maya said, "Fine I guess you did come back."

Shelly said, "yeah thank you, Nate."

Nate said, "um well you know I got all my gentlemanship from my friend Eddie he's

really cool and mature like that."

Maya asked sarcastically, "did he teach you how to abandon two girls too. Just kidding

Nate but now we're on my back up plan I am trying to get Shelly used to being with very fashionable people like here at cafe Shanista. So far it's not going so well."

Shelly said, "I just get so nervous around all those people they are all so intimidating."

Maya said, "yeah but you need to get used to them."

Whisper suggested, "I think this would be a good time for Rattelle to inspirit Shelly

Nate."

Rattelle said, "I am right here you know and it is time to work my magic let's go."

Rattelle then cast an aura over Shelly.

Shelly said, "you're right— what was I thinking I can't be in a place like this dressed the way I am now."

Maya asked, "oh no is this the same thing as last time? is it happening again? Shelly

are you okay?"

Shelly said, "yes, I am fine but now I think I get it I think I know what my style is I'll be

right back but um Nate can borrow some money."

Nate tossed her some money and said, "sure."

Shelly said, "Thanks." then she followed by Rattelle walked off.

Maya said, "I hope this goes well."

So it was just Nate and Maya for a little bit they were alone for a little while at the cafe.

Nate ordered a few things, a couple for himself and Maya and then a few for Yo-kai since Whisper said that some Yo-kai like sweets. It was a bit of awkward silence for a few minutes but they quickly broke the silence when they both realized Shelly would be a while. They actually had some fun getting to know each other because neither really knew much about the other. Nate was able to tell Maya about how he was trying to be less average and how he was pretty much willing to try anything to do it and Maya told Nate about how she liked fashion but also educated Nate on fashion he saw a whole other side to fashion that he never thought of before like how Maya thought of it more of a way to express yourself instead of just looking good. Maya saw some new things to like how many other things there are to do in the world.

Maya said, "wow Nate I guess that is a cool way to look at it, most people are so stuck

on one or two things that they don't really know that they're missing a bunch of other things."

Nate said, "Yeah like how I learned there is more to fashion than just looks it was nice

to get to know you better Maya."

Maya said, "you too Nate and I don't think you're just average anymore, oh and I

haven't mentioned this before but I really like your watch it really just completes your outfit but um I do have to say other than the watch you do look just average I mean you wear a red t-shirt red is a common simple color and T-shirts aren't anything special though I like the star but that is also too simple and your shorts scream regular boy just like the classic white socks and unoriginal sneakers. If you want I could help you look less average."

Nate was a little annoyed but said, "maybe someday but for now I think I like my look."

Maya said, "your loss."

Whisper said, "Hmm good for you Nate you met another girl other than Katie. Speaking

Maya said, "we were waiting for Shelly."

Nate said, "yeah I was helping them."

Maya said, "I was trying to help Shelly become more fashionable."

Nate said, "there is nothing between us."

Maya said, "I am way out of his league."

Nate said, "Hey, no wait that's probably true besides your not my type."

Maya said, "You're not mine either."

Katie interrupted the conversation, "Ummmm well whatever you two were doing, I still

could use your help. It's Kenny and Eric again."

Maya said, "those two knuckleheads again."

Nate asked, "What's going on."

Katie said, "well after school Alex and I talked to both of them and they both said to me

that whenever Alex is around them their hearts start beating really fast. That's why they have been avoiding her but when I came with Alex, they both separately asked Alex to meet them at the beach. So she came with me but when Kenny and Eric saw each other they started to fight again Alex is trying to break it up right now but even with both of us they kept fighting and she doesn't know what's wrong with them."

Maya said, "Woah that's horrible Urh I can't believe those two idiots are fighting again."

Katie said, "yeah so will you and Nate help us."

Maya said, "Of course."

Nate said, "Sure I mean Alex, Kenny, and Eric are like Me, Eddie, and Bear I don't want

to see good friends fight."

Whisper said, "Hmm I think I can guess what's got these two boys fighting."

Nate asked, "What?"

Whisper said, "Well obviously both boys have a crush on Alex."

Nate said, "Ohh, that makes sense."

Whisper said, "That may make breaking up this fight harder than I thought." Nate, Maya,

and Katie ran down to the beach. There they saw Kenny and Eric fighting. They were punching and kicking and rolling around on the beach shoving and pushing each other. Maya immediately ran to join Alex who was trying to tear the two away from each other to no avail.

Katie said, "We need to stop this Nate."

Nate said, "Yeah but how?"

Whisper said, "Hmm Nate for once I think a Yo-kai is responsible for this fight."

Nate said, "Okay." Nate then flipped his watch open without letting Katie notice and

scanned around until he found a weird sandcastle looking Yo-kai with a few cracks on its body, one major hole revealing a beating heart. "Okay Whisper who is that Yo-kai?"

Whisper got out his Yo-kai pad and said, "Um let me see her, oh yes that is Terrorpotta

oh is a horrible Yo-kai he makes people's hearts beat super fast. He is the reason for irrational anxiety and also the reason for many phobias and also false crushes leading to love triangles all the time."

Nate said, "That's horrible how do we get rid of him."

Terrorpotta said, "You can't. I love creating love triangles and causing trouble like this

it's fun and there is no way you are going to stop me."

Whisper said, "I guess it is time for confrontation then."

Nate said, "Yeah so let's go." Whisper gave Nate his Yo-Kai medals. "Okay come on out

my Yo-kai friend calling Blazion, Yo-kai medal do your thing."

Nate asked, "Blazion can you help take down Terrorpotta?"

Blazion said, "Rah rah."

Whisper translated, "he says sure." Blazion the rushes to attack the pot Yo-kai but the

Blazion was inspirited by Terrorpotta.

Blazion then panicked, " rah rah rah rah."

Whisper said, "Oh no Blazion is panicking because of Terrorpotta. He thinks he has

been too motivated that it is causing him heart problems."

Blazion said, "rah rah." then the flaming lion ran away.

Whisper said, "He just said he was going to see his doctor."

Nate said, "Dang it okay next Yo-kai."

Whisper said, "here you go I think this one should work."

Nate said, "okay come on out my Yo-kai friend calling Roughraff. Yo-kai medal do your

Nate said, "Urh another." Nate summoned Yo-kai after Yo-kai ranging from shy and

invisible Dimmy to wiggling and jiggling Fidgephant but none of them could beat Terrorpotta.

Nate then said, "time to pull out the big guns calling Robonyan."

Nate asked, "can you take care of this Yo-kai?"

Terrorpotta said, "we'll see about that." And then Robonyan was inspirited.

Robonyan said, "oh no oh no, systems failing, my processors are burning out cannot

handle all this data overflow." *boom* Robonyan exploded and went back to the future.

Nate said, "no Robonyan."

Whisper said, "if Robonyan failed who can beat Terrorpotta."

Terrorpotta said, "No one I already told you."

Nate said, "well I'll prove you wrong. Calling Illoo, Yo-kai medal do your thing."

brothers probably outdid you, maybe you're in their illusion, maybe your life is an illusion, maybe everyone is playing a trick on you when you think you are pulling a trick on them." Illoo thought about this and as he did his heart started to beat faster and faster as he came to more realizations and more loopholes and theories. Illoo then fell to the floor defeated. "Haha too easy."

Nate said, "Urh I got one idea left. come on out my Yo-kai friend calling Pandle, yo-kai

medal do your thing."

Pandle said, "okay ready to train or rush into battle carelessly like this." Pandle then

charged forward with his toothpick out ready to attack Terrorpotta.

Terrorpotta said, "a little kid this will be easier than the robot." Terropotta tried to worry

Pandle but Pandle responded to the quicked heart rate by saying, "oh yeah the adrenaline is kicking in yah!"

Terrorpotta said, "this is impossible, how are you not worried out of your mind."

Pandle said, "attack first think later." Pandle then stabbed Terrorpotta right in the heart

causing him to shatter and then disappear in a puff of smoke leaving a few coins and his medal.

Whisper said, "great idea Nate Pandle's carelessness makes him perfect to fight

Terrorpotta because of the carelessness Pandle has he won't think to even be slightly worried about anything and the heart beating only makes him stronger."

Nate said, "good job Pandle thanks for taking care of that guy. Here you go." and Nate

gave Pandle a rice ball.

Pandle said, "thank you it was fun to battle that guy." Pandle then walked away with the

rice ball. Nate then rushed to the two boys and said, "come on guys cut it out."

Eric said, "huh I feel much calmer now. I can't remember why we were fighting in the

first place."

Kenny said, "yeah what was I so worked up about. It's just Eric, he's not the bad guy."

Maya said, "finally you two idiots get it you were fighting over nothing."

Alex asked, "Yeah, what was all that about." Kenny and Eric both looked at Alex.

Eric said, "huh my heart isn't beating any faster."

Kenny said, "yeah I don't feel funny any more."

Katie said, "You both really had Alex worried."

Alex said in tears, "Yeah you guys I don't want to see you guys fight again like that. You

really made me worried we're supposed to be a club for crying out loud." Then both Eric and Kenny's hearts started to beat fast again and only Nate took notice to their blush.

Nate whispered to Whisper, "Oh no you don't think…"

Whisper said, "Yup they both seemed to have devolved true crushes this will be

interesting, Hopefully, this won't cause any more drama."

Alex said, "Now come on you guys let's go home it's starting to get late." Both Eric and

Kenny were silent but they nodded and followed. Alex was right the sun was about to set.

Maya said, "I want to but I'm going to wait for Shelly."

Nate said, "Me too."

Katie said, "Bye then you two."

Alex said, "Yeah thanks for your help." Then the group of four was off.

Maya said, "Well let's go wait at the cafe I wanna talk about your crush on Katie."

Nate blushed and asked, "how did you know about that?"

Maya said, "It's obvious besides I hear every bit of gossip."

Whisper said, "She's right you do a terrible job at hiding it, Nate." Luckily for Nate before

Maya could even say another word Shelly came back.

"Hey, guys." said a girl in a pink outfit, "how do I look?" Maya, Nate, and Whisper were

confused.

Maya asked, "Who are you,"

Nate said, "Wait are you…"

Maya said, "It can't be."

Shelly said, "Yup it's me." Shelly changed a lot she wore a big pink bow on he all

straightened hair, a pink dress, and she ditched her glasses so you could actually see her eyes and she had a big bright smile.

Maya and Nate exclaimed, "SHELLY!"

Shelly said, "Yup so what do you think."

Maya said, "Wow you look amazing you didn't go with too much but you finally brought

out your style I'm proud of you."

Nate said, "Wow you're like a whole new person."

Shelly said, "Yeah and I think I like it. I really get your passion for fashion now Maya

thank you."

Maya said, "No this was all you."

Shelly said, "Thanks oh, and thank you too Nate I wouldn't have been able to afford my

new look if it weren't for you." She then hugged Nate cause it Maya to grin a bit.

Nate blushed but said, "Um it was nothing just something my friend Eddie would do."

Whisper then said, "Hmm so Shelly finally found her style that's good. But I still can't

believe Rattelle did all this."

Rattelle said, "Well I didn't do it alone. Meet the society of style." And with two puffs of

smoke came, two other Yo-kai one was a pair of legs with a hat and some purple hair the other was a girl with a mixed-up face that she was constantly trying to fix.

Nate said, "You formed a club!"

Rattelle said, "Right and it paid off didn't it. This is Leggly and jumbelina. Thank to them

we were able to get Shelly to look this gorgeous."

Leggly the leg Yo-kai said, "Yeah now this girl rocks when it comes to style."

Jumbelina said, "and we have done our job right and we didn't go too overboard."

Nate said, "Thanks guys."

Rattelle said, "Oh and I learned my lesson I will not get too angry at other people's

opinions and also we are going to let Shelly go back to her old self when she wants, oh, and here take each of our medals." Nate took all three medals.

Whisper asked, "Why would you do that? I mean It's good of you to do that but why?"

Jumbelina said, "That." Pointing to Shelly who was now being crowded around by tons

of people who were gushing over her.

Shelly said, "Oh no."

Maya said, "Don't worry I'll help you. Nate, we need some help."

Nate said, "Okay. Coming." Nate the fried to get through the crowd but it was just too

big, "sorry Maya I can't get through."

Maya said, "It's okay Shelly."

Shelly said, "Uh, um, I don't think I can handle this." and then she ran out past the

crowd. Nate and Maya chased after her but when they found her she was back to her normal self.

Maya said, "Oh no, I'm so sorry Shelly."

Nate asked, "What's wrong."

Maya said, "Um haven't you been paying attention. Shelly was just scared out of her

new look."

Nate said, "Oh."

Shelly said, "Well not completely I am ready to try something new but I think I am done

with my adventure in fashion for a while I mean it was fun but I think simple and plain is my style thanks anyway Maya but that isn't the last time you'll be seeing me in an outfit like that."

Maya said, "Good for you that was what I wanted to show you. How clothes can make

you feel like a different person and if that's how you want to look then that's fine by me."

Nate said, "Yeah you look good both ways Shelly."

Maya said, "Thanks again for coming along this must have been one crazy day for you."

Nate said, "Yeah but it was fun."

Whisper said, "This was pretty good for a Yo-kai filled day wasn't it Nate."

Nate said, "Yeah it was."
