Chapter 18

A Nightmare Returns

AN: So I just made two chapters back to back this one is shorter than normal probably my shortest but I didn't want to combine this with the next chapter and I thought this was important in a way so I bet you all can guess what's going to happen in this chapter. Hope you enjoy.

Disclaimer: I still don't own yo-kai watch, I mean it's only been one day.

After Nate got back home from helping Bear out he was immediately chewed out by his

mom who was furious with her son for not telling her where she went and leaving while she was gone. He did explain that he was helping Bear with an emergency because Bear thought his mom was leaving unless he got the ring back. Nate's mother calmed down a little but she was still mad. Luckily for the average boy, she calmed down before dinner. The whole rest of the day he was fine. His dad came home and they ate and then Nate went to bed.

Everything seemed normal until he finally fell asleep.

Nate woke up not in his room in bed, he was in his regular clothes and he was in a

greyed version of blossom heights right in front of Bear's house. Whisper was with him. Nate then finally realized what was going on and he tried to wake Whisper.

Nate said, "Whisper, hey whisper wake up."

Whisper said, "I may not be Jibanyan Nate but I still like to sleep too."

Nate said, "but Whisper I need your help."

Whisper said, "whatever it is can wait till morning after I have had my yo-kai butler

beauty sleep."

Nate said, "but I think we're in terror time."

Whisper said, "there is no possible way we are in terror time if we were then we would

be running away from Gargaros and we would be outside somewhere."

Nate said, "look we are right in front of Bear's house."

Whisper said, "Oh fine I'll look." Whisper opened his eyes to see that they were in fact

outside and in terror time. "Oh no, oh no, oh, no, oh no."

Nate said, "I told you."

Whisper asked, "why though you haven't been naughty lately."

A loud voice boomed, "oh yes he has. Not only has this kid snuck out today but I found

out you stuck out a while back and avoided me with Dimmy and Baku which was really naughty and not only that but I know you have done a ton of other naughty things too. You have lied, you didn't brush your teeth, you didn't eat you vegetables, you didn't do your homework, you almost broke the space-time continuum, and you have been talking behind people's backs and I bet you have done a lot of other things that I just can't remember. Oh, and I can't forget that you escaped me last time by cheating with that door. This time I'm gonna getcha and discipline you."

Whisper said, "Nate we are going to have a talk about your behavior after this."

Gargaros bellowed, "roahhhhh!" and summoned his Oni minions.

Nate asked, "so where's the yellow gate this time?"

Whisper pulled out his Yo-kai pad and said, "okay it's by the medicine shop."

Nate said, "then let's go." So Nate and Whisper snuck around going closer to the

waterway to avoid the Patrolye. "You think I could take out a few of these eyes with a yo-kai."

Whisper said, "yes but don't summon any yo-kai, that will be like a beacon to Garargos

he'll just rush over here and it will be pointless. Besides, you haven't changed your preset team I bet most of your yo-kai friends are still going to be worn out from that fight with SV Snaggerjag."

Nate said, "You're probably right I just hope we don't get caught."

Whisper said, "Don't worry let's just keep sneaking around." Whisper and Nate stealthily moved closer and closer to the door and then it happened one of the eyes caught them.

Whisper said, "Run!"

Nate said, "aeh." the two ran as they were quickly being chased by the big red oni who was closing in.

Gargaros said, "Ha I got you now."

Nate said, "So I guess it's last resort time." Nate activated his watch and summoned his team the hands landed on the new Appak that was on the wheel.

Appak! and friends

The warrior kappa appeared alongside Nate's rudely awakened roommate Jibanyan, a disassembled not charged Robonyan, a still weakened Blazion, an injured Komasan, and a still fully energized Komajiro.

Jibanyan said, "UHHH you already called us today Nyate and you knyow how late it is."

Appak said, "Yeah I am always up for a fight but we already had a big one today."

Robonyan said, "*Blep* burplaresddienfuchskd *smoke* ifsdbhkadufhsbdhfssjdfhchd *spark*"

Blazion said, "Rah."

Komasan said, "I agree it is too late for this."

Nate said, "I know you guys are all tired but come on I need your help fighting Gargaros."

They all said in unison, "Gargaros?!"

Jibanyan said, "Really you summoned us to try and fight the big red Oni himself."

Appak said, "This is too big a fight even for me and blazion."

Komasan said, "Oh my Swirls!"

Komajiro said, "Oh no."

Gargaros said, "Haha this will be easy even if you do have some powerful yo-kai on your side."

Nate said, "Come on guys I am begging you we're trapped."

Whisper said, "I mean you're going to have to fight him anyway so. Might as well get it over with."

Gargaros said, "Ha take this." and he just smacked the remains of Robonyan away.

Appak said, "Eat this." and Appak slashed at Gargaros with his water katana.

Blazion said, "Rah rah," going in for some punches.

Jibanyan said, "What the nyan. Paws of Fury." Jibanyan then rapidly punched the Oni.

Komajiro said, "Come on brother." and he zapped Gargaros.

Komasan said, "ok-k-ay." as he hit Gargaros with a ball of fire.

Gargaros said, "Ur so you think you can fight. yaaaaaa!" And Gargaros smacked Komasan and Komajiro with his bat knocking them out.

Jibanyan and Appak kept doing damage but they failed to do much of anything even if Appak water attacks were dealing good damage. Blazion tried his best but nothing came from it."

Gargaros said, "Well you put up a good fight but now you're all dead."

Jibanyan said, "We're all already dead."

Gargaros said, "Well take this." Gargaros flung his club like a boomerang and it created a black metal tornado that hit Jibanyan, Blazion, and Appak defeating all three. All of them disappearing in purple smoke.

Whisper said, "Oh no well it was nice serving you, Nate."

Nate said, "What."

Gargaros said, "Now it's time you face your punishment time to feel my wrath." Whisper and Nate both cowered in fear as Gargaros brought his club down "Nightmare Beat!"

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Nate screamed in pain as he woke up in his bed. His parents came rushing in.

His mother asked, "What's wrong?"

Nate said, "ow ow I guess ow I had a dream that a giant red monster came to beat me with his club."

Nate's Dad said, "Sounds like you had quite the scary nightmare there Nate."

Nate's mom said, "Well it looks like the Oni came to teach you a lesson. Don't worry though Nate you are a good kid most of the time so they won't come after you, just remember to be good."

Nate said, "Okay thanks mom, and dad I'm fine now."

Nate's dad said, "Good night Nate sweet dreams."

Nate's mom said, "night Nate love you."

Nate said, "Love you too mom."

Whisper said, "Well that was quite a horrifying nightmare."

Jibanyan said, "You can say that again nyan, why did you have to drag us into it."

Nate said, "Sorry I just wanted to take down Gargaros you know face your fears but he ended up cornering us."

Jibanyan said, "Urh well too bad then."

Whisper said, "I guess you just weren't ready."

Nate said, "Yeah but next time I will be. Hand me my medals Whisper I'm going to change my team."

Whisper said, "Okay and I can help you make the best decisions."

Jibanyan said, "Hey don't forget to have me on your team."

Nate said, "You got it." as he activated his watch's preset mode as he took all but one medal out of the green wheel.

Whisper said, "Well I wouldn't recommend it but hey maybe Jibanyan might evolve like Walkappa."

Jibanyan said, "Hey I like who I am."

Nate said, "So do I besides he's my main fighter how can I not include him."

Whisper said, "Oh well I still have good ideas for your new team Nate. Oh, and I forgot last time when we escaped Terror Time I found a coin." Whisper brought out a small yellow coin, "You can use this to free another yo-kai from the crank-a-kai."

Nate said, "Didn't you say those were all evil yo-kai."

Whisper said, "Yeah but they have all had time to think about their actions I bet they reformed so why not they could be a powerful addition to your yo-kai crew."

Nate said, "I guess tomorrow I'm heading back to Mount Wildwood and the place we first met."

Whisper said, "The place that changed your life forever."

Jibanyan said, "for better or worse is the question nyan."

AN: Okay so I lied from the last chapter I did have Nate fight Gargaros I don't count this and though because it wasn't really a boss fight at the time and for another thing, Nate lost I mean I have a plan for this Terror time side plot but for now Nate will lose to Gargargos I mean I can't have him be an unbeatable guy that's not me there.
