Chapter 21

Mystery Museum

AN: Chapter 21 Mystery Museum, I still bet most of you know what's going on but none of you will guess some of the little twists I put in this. That's enough out of me, for now, see you guys after you finish reading. Hope you like it.

Disclaimer: Still don't own yo-kai watch, if I did you would be able to refight every boss even if yo-kai watch 1.

"So you wanna come I mean you were the one who suggested we come to the Museum because of the recent rumors?" One bespectacled kid asked a headphone-wearing kid in the Springdale museum.

"Of course that's why I asked you to bring me to the ghost club's last meeting. I would love to come and this is happening in the evening right?" asked the kid in question.

"Yes, Nate will be coming. We are all meeting here after 7, for you and Lina that should be easy." said Lucas.

A certain short purple haired girl happened to hear and asked, "You guys are talking about the mysterious ghost rumors aren't you?"

Eddie said, "Um yeah, why?"

Hailey Anne said, "Well I wanna come too, ghost stuff may not be my main thing but I so wanna come check this out. It will be so cool."

Eddie asked, "Is it okay if she comes along?"

Lucas said, "I don't see why not."

Hailey squealed, "Psych! This will be so cool."

That was how it went down and that night each of them snuck out of their houses. It was a quiet night and they all made their way to the museum.

"I really hope this doesn't trigger Terror Time later." sighed Nate as he made his way to the museum under the cloak of night.

"Well, either way, it should be worth it, I have ready off the Kai-net that there is usually a bit of yo-kai activity at night in the museum. I am sure we will at least see something interesting," said Whisper.

"I can't wait to take down any yo-kai if they try to put up a fight or mess with Nyate's friends nyan. I can feel myself improving against these trucks even if it's only a little bit. I feel like I could handle another round with that big mean Oni." said Jibanyan. Lucas told Nate that they would be there for protection if any of the yo-kai got hostile, so Nate thought to bring Jibanyan. Nate had been watching Jibanyan too and he was right he had been getting stronger. Last time Nate watched Jibanyan train, Jibanyan was able to hold off a truck for a whole minute by himself before being launched away. That was impressive considering when they first met Jibanyan could only last a few seconds at best. Nate noticed all his yo-kai friends were getting stronger between Walkappa evolving and Tattletell fusing all his yo-kai friends were reaching higher levels of strength, and with Whisper's help they had great strategy and equipment. They were all doing good.

"Hey Nate," called Lucas and Eddie who both waved from the museum.

"Hey guys," said Nate when he got closer.

Zoey said, "Oh good you're here we were waiting on you. Starting to think you weren't going to show up."

Lina said, "Now we can start."

Hailey said, "Yes."

"Hope I didn't keep you guys waiting too long," Nate said sheepishly.

"Oh no you didn't, we were only here a few minutes," said Zoey.

"It's fine Nate besides half of us live pretty close," said Lucas.

"We would have waited anyway I mean not forever but we would have waited. Now Eddie if you will," said Lina.

"Okay got it." Eddie then disabled the security on the front door. And the kids just walked right in.

"Woah you're like some sort of super cool hacker or something," said Hailey. Eddie blushed at that and replied, "Oh it was nothing."

"Oh stop being so modest you have skill," said Zoey.

"Yeah Bro, the average guy wouldn't know how to do this," said Nate.

"Yeah and Nate would know," joked Zoey. Everyone laughed, even Whisper and Jibanyan.

"Haha so funny," said Nate sarcastically.

"You know I sort of feel guilty breaking into the museum at night and all but this is in the name of a ghost hunt," said Lina.

"No need to feel bad we're not stealing anything," reassured Eddie.

"Just don't go robbing banks later Eddie." joked Hailey. Again everyone laughed.

"Don't worry I won't. Plus we are just here to check out a rumor," said Eddie.

"Now let's go find some ghosts," said Zoey.

"Oh wait, be careful I may have disabled most of the security system but that was only downstairs and even then I only did so much," said Eddie.

Everyone else said, "Okay."

They all had a good time exploring the first floor and Whisper was right there were a lot of yo-kai. A few Dazzable, and Skulleidoscope, Nummskull, and Sad to the bone, and one Skranny, a couple of Dino yo-kai. A few Daiz and Confuse. A couple Nirds and Indexers. All of which played along and pulled a few ghostly things to the group's amusement. Of course, a few got out of hand but Jibanyan made quick work of them.

Lina said, "Well there has definitely been a bit of supernatural activity but nothing too big."

Zoey said, "Yeah it's all baby stuff."

Eddie said, "They were all just simple coincidences."

Hailey said, "No no they were definitely ghosts you just don't want to admit it. Though I guess they aren't the best "encounters"."

Lina said, "Yeah not like the rumor we came for."

Zoey said, "This isn't the stuff we need to convince the nonbeliever."

Hailey said, "Yeah it really would have been cool if we got to see the rumor."

Nate asked, "What rumor?"

Hailey said, "You haven't heard about the rumor? Apparently, there is a set of armor here in the museum."

Eddie said, "It is said to have been found moving around the museum at night."

Lina said, "Most say it's a ghost because it floats and has a ghastly face."

Zoey said, "That's why we're here."

Lucas said, "It has been a rumor for a while now."
Nate said, "Oh. Okay."

Lina asked, "Eddie do you think you could turn off the security system completely from here?"

Eddie said, "I could try."

Hailey said, "That's all we need because I bet you can do it."

Zoey said, "Well if you believe that much in him, he hasn't failed us yet."

While Eddie, Zoey, Lina, and Hailey went over to the front of the Museum Nate pulled Lucas back.

Nate asked, "That armor thing is a yo-kai right?"

Lucas said, "Yeah. either that or it's fake like Eddie said."

Whisper said, "I'm willing to bet it is a fake or is it real. I am so conflicted. On one hand there are a lot of yo-kai here a lot of them strong enough to pull something like that off. On the other hand though, None of them so far have the ability to become a set of armor and there are no sets of armor in the museum."

Lucas said, "Well if there is no armor in the museum then there has to be a yo-kai."

Whisper gasped, "You're right!"

Eddie said, "Yes got it!" suddenly there were the sounds of all the electricity in the museum disappearing.

Zoey said, "You did it, huh you actually did it."

Hailey said, "I knew you could do it."

Lina said, "You cease to amaze me now come on let's check upstairs."

Lucas said, "Don't worry Jibanyan has been able to take down all the yo-kai so far that caused us trouble. I bet he can take down a yo-kai messing around in armor."

Nate said, "Yeah me too."

Jibanyan said, "Yeah!"

Whisper said, "Well I am not so sure about that but I doubt we'll encounter it." They all checked out around the upper part of the museum. There wasn't much difference there, just small yo-kai with small tricks.

Zoey said, "Well this was a bust."

Lina said, "Yeah I am getting so many odd vibes and I thought for sure that with Nate and Lucas here that we could spark something but I guess I was wrong as usual."

Lucas said, "Oh don't say that I bet we'll find something besides maybe it's just all these small things together that are giving you these weird vibes."

Zoey said, "Of course the only thing in armor is Lina's prince charming." Lucas blushed while Lina was confused.

Nate said, "Well there must be another room somewhere."

Eddie said, "Well there is the storeroom but you need the key to get in."

Hailey said, "Awe man I guess that's the end of the line."

Zoey said, "Oh don't worry I bet there is a spare key."

Eddie said, "Yeah there usually spare keys hidden somewhere. I'll go check the

Museum computer."

Lina said, "Well I guess Zoey and I will check around the lower level of the Museum."

Lucas said, "I'll help you out down there too."

Hailey said, "That leaves me, and this guy the upstairs."

Nate said, "I have a name you know."

Hailey asked, "Well what's my name then?"

Nate said, "Um…"

Hailey said, "That's what I thought." with a smirk.

Nate and Hailey, as well as Whisper and Jibanyan, all tried to find the key for a while to no avail.

Nate came over to check on Hailey and asked, "You have any luck?"

Hailey said, "No and I'm guessing you didn't find it either."

Nate said, "You guessed right. Huh, where the heck could they hide that key."

Hailey said, "Oh I found it."

Nate said, "Really that quickly."

Hailey said, "Yeah it was just this key card hiding in this bush."

Nate said, "huh it looks like it belongs to someone named um… Diana Gately."

Hailey said, "So this isn't a spare I guess. So it's not a spare key."

Nate said, "Well it should still work."

Hailey said, "Then let's go." Hailey took Nate's hand and they both rushed downstairs. "Guys I found a key!" All four other kids ran to meet Nate and Hailey.

Eddie asked, "Where did you find it?"

Hailey said, "Um well it's not really a spare we found it in a bush and it belongs to someone."

Zoey said, "Who cares, it should still work right."

Lina said, "Yeah I mean it looks like it could fit the card."

Lucas said, "Let's go." The four of them ran over to the storeroom.

Nate said, "Um… Hailey."

Hailey said, "Psych you remembered my name."

Nate said, "Yeah but I… um could you let go of my hand please."

Hailey said, "Oh sorry." and she then rushed over to the storeroom with the others.

Whisper said, "Wow who knew Nate would be such a player."

Jibanyan said, "What the heck are you talking about nyan." Nate then ran off too.

So they opened the storeroom, it was an unorganized mess of boxes. The four non-yo-kai seeing kids went ahead while Lucas and Nate both noticed the blue flaming eye.

Lucas said, "Oh it's an eyepo maybe there is a powerful yo-kai."

Whisper said, "It could have just formed there."

Jibanyan said, "Either way I could use that energy boost nyan." Jibanyan went under the flames and became re-energized.

Lucas asked, "you want my help, Nate."

Nate said, "Um maybe."

Jibanyan said, "Nyo, nyo, let's go. I can take anything that comes our way."

Nate said, "Well if you say so Jibanyan."

Lucas said, "Okay then." The six kids then walked all the way to the end where they saw it, a suit of red, gold lined samurai armor.

Hailey said, "Psych this is it the armor."

Lina said, "So the rumors are true."

Eddie said, "This doesn't prove anything."

Zoey said, "If that's so then explain how this thing gets out of this closet."

Eddie said, "Maybe the person who uses it just didn't come today."

Zoey said, "The exact same day that we decided to come."

Lucas said, "If Eddie's right maybe they saw us."

Lina asked, "You're siding with Eddie?"

Lucas said, "I said if Eddie's right."

Eddie said, "I am right."

Hailey stuttered, "Um… guys." Suddenly the only lights left in the museum the ones not connected to the security grid flicked and shut off.

Lina said, "Oh no I am getting a faint feeling."

Zoey asked, "faint?!"

Lina said, "Yeah I am sensing something small."

Eddie said, "Yeah right."

Nate said, "Guys look out."

Hailey shouted, "Ahhhh!" The armor had started to float, it had become filled by a blue gas and its eyes glowed blue and he was holding a katana. The armor then slashed. It missed but what it did hit, a box was cut into two.

Hailey said, "Let's get out of here." Hailey was the first to run out followed by Lina, Eddie, Zoey, Lucas, and Nate and Jibanyan and Whisper.

Zoey said, "*huff* We were right *huff*"

Eddie said, *Huff* now's *huff* not the time." Lina ran to the doors but they wouldn't budge.

Lina said, "They won't open."

Lucas said, "Now would be a good time to fight back don't you think Nate."

Nate said, "Yeah this time let's do this together."

Lucas and Nate stood by each other both their watches in hand. The two activated the team summon features on their watches. Both watches formed six slotted circles Lucas' yellow, and Nate's green.

They said in Unison yet still to no one else's notice, "Calling forth our yo-kai friends, yo-kai medals with the power of the yo-kai watch do your thing." The circles sent three spirals of light each in the color of the rainbow. Twelve yo-kai appeared. Nate summoned Jibanyan, Appak, Cadin, Hungramps, Tattlecast, and Blazion. Lucas called forth Benkei, Signiton, Dromp, Timidevil, Everfore, and Bloominoko.

Lina said, "Oh my I sense a lot of spirits now."

Zoey said, "What?!" The Armor rushed at the kids but it was blocked by Dromp.

Nate asked, "Okay Whisper who is this yo-kai?"

Whisper said, "I have no idea."

Nate said, "Okay what about the yo-kai pad."

Whisper said, "This has no information about this yo-kai it is completely unknown."

Lucas said, "try using the pin."

Nate said, "Oh right." Nate held down the button on the side of his watch and just like that all the hands on Nate's watch fused to form a launchable pin. Nate carefully aimed and bullseye hit right on the X on the armor.

Whisper said, "Okay I got something, it seems that this yo-kai goes by the name Phantasmurai, its armor is incredibly tough it can take even a rocket fist from robonyan. It seems the best place to attack it is to attack the X where the pin is, good job Nate. It seems to be equal in power to a boss yo-kai but it definitely isn't a traditional guardian spirit though it might just be one I mean so far there has been a guardian in the hot springs, and in Mount Wildwood's Catfish pond if anything it is certainly drawing power from a powerful spot. Still, we should be able to take this hunk of junk."

Nate said, "Yeah you're all doing great."

Lucas said, "Keep it up." Benkei, Appak, and Cadin were doing their best to fight with the sword. The sword kept doing extremely powerful attacks though which did massive damage to all the yo-kai except the two healers Hungramps and Bloominoko who hid behind Dromp who took massive damage despite being one of the most powerful tanks. Jibanyan, Blazion, Tattlecast, Signiton, Timidevil, and Everfore all launched attack after attack both physical from Jibanyan and Blazion, and elemental Signiton and Everfore, Tattlecast and Timidevil even tried inspiriting him but no attack had any effect.

Nate asked, "How come none of our attacks are working."

Lucas said, "The armor must be too powerful."

Whisper said, "I suggest we retreat. We may not be able to hurt him but he can certainly hurt us with that blade."

Nate said, "We can't the doors are locked tight."

Lucas said, "Maybe there is another way out."

Nate asked, "What do you mean?"

Lucas said, "Well there are supposed to be a network of yo-kai that act like portals, maybe there is one around here."

Whisper said, "Oh you must mean Mirapo. Hmm, let me see oh ha there should be one here in this museum. I'll help you look."

Lucas said, "Okay Nate good luck." and Lucas and Whisper ran off.

Nate said, "Okay Cadin, Appak, and Benkei use your soultimates."

Appak said, "Okay then, Torrent Blade." Appak prepared his water katana and it started to flow.

Cadin said, "Let's do this *ming ming* Cicada Cut." Cadin took a pose with his blade out.

Benkei said, "Alrighty then, here goes nothing, 999 Blades." Benkei opened himself up and out came 999 different blades all covered in red light. Cadin started a furious slash and Appak jumped and unleashed a powerful water cut. All the attacks broke Phantasmurai's sword in half which enraged the armor but the attack hurt so much less.

Nate said, "Yeah good job you three now Jibanyan use your soultimate you too Timidevil."

Jibanyan said, "one paws of fury coming right up Nyate." Jibanyan then jumped and said, "Paws of fury." Jibanyan let loose a chain of punches from both arms.

Timidevil said, "Okay I guess here it goes, um… uh… Timid Boo." Timidevil unleashed a wave of dark energy that didn't affect the armor but it did do damage.

Nate said, "Now Blazion do it."

Blazion said, "Rah rah roar, Blazing Fist." Blazion jumped high into the air and then like a meteor crashed down onto Phantasmurai's chest right where the pin was destroying a hunk of the armor.

To everyone's surprise, there was a mouse in the armor who panicked and started to try to fix up the armor.

Nate said, "Wah?"

Jibanyan said, "Who cares Nyate now is our time to strike."

Nate said, "Oh, right." Nate reactivated the pin and hit the mouse with it now they were all attacking the mouse with all they had. The mouse took a lot of damage but it wasn't over yet. The mouse rebuilt the armor and Phantasmurai was back in power and this time he had another sword.

Nate said, "Okay everyone who hasn't used their soultimate yet use it now."

Tattlecast said, "Max Volume 11." and she jumped up and smacked the X on the armor.

Signiton said, "Ton o' Thunder." Signiton then let out a powerful surge of electricity all of which did a ton of damage to the armor.

Everfore said, "Beauty Beam." shooting a beam from her staff hitting right on target.

Dromp said, "Total Collapse." and he fell to the ground causing an explosion. Dromp was defeated and he turned into his soul form and flew over to Lucas.

Hungramps and Bloomnoko used theirs too and they were all healed. The attacks all did a lot of damage but not enough to break the armor again.

The armor uttered in an eerie voice, "Cursed Slash." Phantasmurai then rapidly slashed, not holding back. In the end, all of the yo-kai were defeated.

Lucas called out, "Nate don't worry I got back up."

Zerberker then said, "Zerberker Slash." Zerberker then unleashed his own storm of slashes on Phantasmurai. Phantasmurai's sword was broken and Zerberker then bashed in the rest of his armor.

Mirapo, who came with Lucas, said, "I'll help Mirror to Mirror." Mirapo created a blast of spirit energy that looked zerberker. The blast exploded the exposed mouse and the whole suit of armor fell.

Nate said, "Yeah you did it, Lucas."

Lucas said, "No we did it."

Lina said, "No you're being much too modest Lucas."

Nate looked at Lucas and then looked at Lina and then looked back at Lucas.

Nate said, "Wait, you can see yo-kai?!"

AN: And now another boss bites the dust. So there were a lot of ship hints in this of course if you are not too much into shipping I did mask it up with plot, battle, and a bit of humor but this chapter is loaded with shipping. I know the battling was not the most quality despite this being a pretty underrated boss and Mirapo just coming in at the end but it was a bit of chaos having Nate battle with both his descent yo-kai and Lucas' overpowered ones. Oh yeah, and Lina just coming in like that. The Mirapo and Lina thing will be explained in the next chapter. Oh and yes for the record I do ship Hailey with Nate, Lucas, Eddie, and Lina all at the same time yet not in the same story what can I say I am just a shipper but no pairing in here is set in stone yet that's why I didn't do any pairings at the top.
