Chapter 25

BPFF (Best Paranormal Friend Forever)

AN: Sorry for the long wait just spent some time reading "Damona in the Details" great yo-kai watch fic by the way and with school work in the way it gets hard but I am work on this and here it is. This is the first major chapter focusing on just one character other than our main hero Nathan. Oh and to avoid confusion this actually takes place before the Oni boss fight last chapter. Hope you enjoy.

Disclaimer: I still don't own yo-kai watch, I can only dream to be Level 5 with all their grade A or "Rank S" games.

Lina was walking home. She knew she could just Mirapo there but the ghost now yo-kai loving girl liked to walk. Lina had somethings on her mind. She couldn't help but feel all alone. She was in a whole new world. And she was all by herself… She was used to being alone a lot before Zoey and Lucas. She spent a lot of time by herself but now she wasn't used to being alone. She always had someone by her side, someone like Zoey, her partner in crime, her best friend. They would have been having the greatest conversation about all their theories and how cool it is they were right and where they were going to take the ghost club next, Lucas one of her greatest friends the one who gave her a yo-kai watch the first, no, the only person he told about the world of yo-kai, and now there was Nate a new friend who already showed that he was a friend she could count on and a kind one at that. Yet she didn't have any of them with her at the moment. She couldn't tell Zoey anything which broke both their hearts, she couldn't get Lucas, and despite being a new friend she wasn't close to Nate. Lina always knew there was another world beyond her own but she didn't know anything about it when Lucas brought her into it.

Both boys had someone they could count on. Nate had his main fighter that red Nekomata he befriended and that odd ghost Whisper for a guide. Lucas had been born into the world of yo-kai but She could sense he had a guide of his own. She wanted a guide or a partner. She wanted a friend to guide her through the chaotic world of yo-kai. She already made some great yo-kai friends like Diaz, Confuse, Minimoto, and Mirapo but they didn't seem like the time to guide though and she asked them but they said no and she knew she couldn't count on Lamedian, Mudmunch, or Compunzer to guide her. She needed a real partner. Lina was wandering around a bit, she headed towards the school, it was a paranormal magnet naturally. She wanted to explore it at night someday with Zoey. They planned a ghost investigator club thing later in the summer. Lina realized that all the urban legends were true now she always believed in them before but now she could really explore them like she wanted to. She was always a little different. Lucas even told her that he never heard of someone who could sense yo-kai energy and aura but not see them who were born with the ability. Lucas wasn't sure if the yo-kai worlds were drifting apart or closer together but he was fascinated by Lina's ability or maybe something else…

So Lina was just walking around the halls of the school she passed by one of the Mirapo that "lived" in the school. She walked through the school halls, it was amazing how this place could change. It used to be filled with people but now it was empty. It was weird like most other things in the world. Lina walked into the Library. It was her place. It was where she read books of all kinds, not just ghost books. She liked all the books in the library; nonfiction, historical fiction, science fiction, fantasy, romantic novels, Domestic fiction, action, adventure, mystery, all of the books in the library. Everyone knew Sarah, the smartest kid in class as a bookworm, but Lina couldn't get enough of books she may not have been reading every second but she read just as many if not more books than Sarah. She just loved them all; she had pretty high grades but she could have gotten higher if she didn't always have her head stuck in the clouds. She knew there was another world that they couldn't see, they could sense it all her life and she couldn't help but chase after it. With her head filled with ideas, she couldn't help but be creative. She had thousands of ideas to try to imagine what the world she couldn't see was like yet no matter how she pictured it, it never seemed to come out right. Until she finally put the yo-kai watch on. She could finally see the world she felt the auras that were there. Her eyes were finally open, even if no one else could see them. Yet she was still alone in the world.

So there she sat. Just a girl in the library.

Lina was about to leave when she heard something. She sensed something. She turned on the yo-kai scanning feature on her watch and then she found a dark fiery lion, a green oni with a big yellow hand, and an elderly yo-kai with a big mouth. The three yo-kai didn't seem to be doing anything in particular. They were just hanging out.

Lina said, "Oh hey there." The three yo-kai looked her way and were surprised to see that they were talking to a human.

The fiery lion said, "Rah Rah!" he reminded her of one of the yo-kai Nate called upon at the museum.

The big handed, green Oni said, "Oh my you're a human, wow aren't you special being able to yo-kai and all."

The elderly looking yo-kai asked, "Does this mean we get food?"

The fiery lion looked at the elderly looking yo-kai and shouted, "Rah!"

Lina asked, "So what are you guys doing?"

The big handed yo-kai said, "Oh where are my manners? I'm Mynimo, this big bottomless pit is Hungorge, and this fiery soul here is Quaken. We were just lazing about. We don't do too much especially in the summer."

The fiery lion named Quaken said, "Rah Rah!"

Mynimo said, "Oh that seems like a great idea Quaken. Hey um…"

Lina said, "Lina."

Mynimo said, "Nice name, Lina, so my pal Quaken here just came up with a great idea. You humans can summon yo-kai right? So we were thinking a nice battle would be just what we need whatcha say?"

Lina thought it over and said, "Sure. I don't see why not." Both Mynimo and Quaken became excited and Hungorge was just hungry. Lina just met him but she figured that was the only emotion he had.

Lina said, "Okay I'll summon three yo-kai. Okay, here it goes. Calling forth the spirits from the spirit world, yo-kai medal unlock this power, summoning Minimoto."

Then appeared a small yo-kai who was extremely fast and armed with a sewing needle which he used as a sword. Next Lina summoned a moving mud blob with one yellow eye named Mudmunch. She also summoned Mirapo, they were the best yo-kai she could think of. Lina then explained what was going on and both Mudmunch and Minimoto were excited to battle and though it wasn't Mirapo's thing he agreed to battle too.

Mynimo said, "Okay you are all set up, everyone here. Let's do this go." Mynimo thought he was going to land the first big punch on Mudmunch but his punch was met almost instantly by Minimoto who jumped and slashed Mynimo. Mynimo was knocked back slightly despite Minimoto's size he packed a real punch. Mynimo then tried to catch the little pest with his massive hand but he was just too fast. Minimoto decided to keep attacking the yo-kai. Quaken attack by creating small tremors in the floor to do damage to all of them while he stood guarding Hungorge. Though Lina wasn't a great strategist and Mirapo didn't like to fight much, they came up with a crazy idea to use Mirapo's ability to reflect elemental abilities to absorb Quaken's quakes. Mudmunch then lobbed balls of mud at Mirapo and using both his reflecting abilities and Quaken's quakes Mirapo was able to launch the mud balls like they were cannonballs. The mud balls pelted Quaken and Mynimo dealing pretty good damage. It wasn't enough though Hungorge was able to heal Quaken and Mynimo easily with the protection Quaken provided erasing all their efforts while Quaken's quakes were slowly chipping at Mudmunch and Mirapo.

Lina said, "Minimoto use your Soultimate on Hungorge."

Minimoto nodded and said, "right, Emotional Moment." Minimoto then pulled his "sword" in front of him and then sprinted over to try and knock out Hungorge. Quaken created a slightly stronger tremor and sent Minimoto flying before he could get too close. Mynimo then caught the tiny warrior and drained him of his energy. Mynimo tossed the tiny warrior aside and then went over to fight Mudmunch. Mudmunch dodged punch after punch and then landed a couple of his own. Mynimo was defeated. Quaken's flames explode up as Mynimo fell.

"Rah!" said Quaken before rushing to instantly defeating Mudmunch with a single quick punch. Mudmunch exploded dealing damage but that was quickly healed by Hungorge.

Lina said, "Aw man I guess we're finished." Mirapo didn't last against Quaken's powerful punches which he couldn't reflect. Soon Mirapo fell too and Lina's team of yo-kai were all defeated.

Quaken said, "Rah!" and the ground started pulsing with energy. The books in the library started to shake and fall off the shelves, the desks in the classrooms started to move.

Lina said, "Quaken you won. You don't have to fight anymore. Stop making these quakes."

Quaken said, "Rah rah. Rah rah."

Hungorge said, "Quaken says he has missed this feeling. I think he's lost in the moment."

Lina said, "Awe and I don't think any of my other yo-kai friends can take him on."

Hungorge said, "Tough luck to you kid but I couldn't even help you if I wanted to. Which I don't."

Lina said, "Awe man why did I agree to this I'm not strong enough to actually deal with this. Lucas was right I can't handle this world." Lina couldn't take it anymore. She fell to her knees from the quakes and started crying. She was tearing up. She was alone all alone. No one to help her. Then she sensed something. Quaken was then hit with a blast of intense aura energy. Quanken was snapped out of his whatever it was and another yo-kai was there she could tell. Lina used her watch and there she was a little girl with a bob cut in a cherry red skirt who was floating. Lina immediately recognized her. She was a legend, an urban legend but still a legend.

The floating yo-kai said, "Quaken quit it you know some of us here like some peace and quiet."

Quaken looked angry but also like he didn't want to pick a fight, "Rah rah."

The floating yo-kai said, "Good now go clean up your mess."

Quaken bowed and then ran off to go put things back in place but before he left he tapped Lina on the shoulder and said, "Rah Rah." and gave Lina his medal.

The floating yo-kai said, "Oh so you have a yo-kai watch now."

Lina ignored what the yo-kai just told her and said, "You're Hanako."

The yo-kai confirmed, "Yes that is one of my many names, here in the yo-kai world I go by Toiletta."

Lina said, "Thanks for the help."

Toiletta said, "You're welcome." with an expressionless face.

Mynimo got up and said, "Yeah sorry about that Quaken hasn't had a good battle in a while that was really good for the three of us right Hungorge."

Hungorge said, "I suppose so here take my medal." Hungorge tossed his medal from afar to Lina who caught it.

Mynimo said, "Here take mine too." Mynimo handed it to her with his small hand.

Lina took it and said, "Thank you."

Mynimo said, "No problem see you around." then the two yo-kai left.

Toiletta was about to go too but then Lina said, "You're so cool."

Toiletta turned around and said, "Thanks." still showing no emotion

Lina continued, "Me and my friend were going to investigate your legend."

Toiletta said, "I know, you and Zoey are just the two to try something like that."

Lina said confused, "You know us?"

Toiletta turned all the way around and said, "I know all of you I have been haunting this school for years now, Lina." she said her with a different tone, Lina couldn't tell if it was snappy, acid-filled, or just in a joking tone.

Lina asked, "Wow, so you must see a lot of things, wait if yo-kai are invisible to the human eye then how come there are legends about normal people seeing you?"

Toiletta said, "You must be new to this whole yo-kai thing. You see all yo-kai can be invisible to people only those who are too powerful can be seen by humans without a special tool but we can also let people see us if we want them too."

Lina said, "Oh, you're right I am new to this. I know all about the myths and I have always been able to sense yo-kai but I have only been in this yo-kai world for a few days."

Toiletta said, "Well I see you already made some yo-kai friends." Mirapo, Minimoto, and Mudmunch all recovered and got up.

Lina said, "Thanks you guys."

They all said, "No problem."

Toiletta said, "So you have some experience."

Lina said, "Yeah but I guess I still have a lot to learn. I wish I had a guide but my friend is too overprotective."

Toiletta question, "Zoey?"

Lina said, "No, I haven't told Zoey, I can't despite how much I want to, I have never felt so alone before I mean I guess I was used to being alone before but now I guess I really am alone."

Toiletta looked at the girl, she knew what it was like to be alone, she said, "I know that feeling hey what if I'm your guide."

Lina looked at the floating yo-kai girl and said, "Really, that would be so cool."

Toiletta said, "Yeah, I know quite a bit about the yo-kai world and you're pretty cool yourself." Lina and Toiletta both shared the same tiny smile.

Toiletta said, "Well if we are going to be partners here take my medal too." Toiletta flashed blue and out came her medal which flew into Lina's hand.

Lina said, "I'll cherish it. Come on I'm gonna head home." A thought just occurred to Lina, "Awe dang it how are you supposed to be my partner if I live pretty far away from the school."

Toiletta said, "Well for one you could just summon me with my medal but I think I'll just move in with you."

Lina said, "Really?"

Toiletta said, "Mhm, Plus I can just live anywhere that has a toilet. Your home does have a toilet right?"

Lina said, "Yup." with a smile.

Toiletta said, "Then we're all set let's go." Lina and the ghost girl then left the school and made their way to breezy hills.

Toiletta asked, "So how did you get your hands on that watch?"

Lina said, "Well my friend Lucas got for me from Timers and More after he told me about the yo-kai world."

Toiletta said, "Oh your little friend, the boy who wears glasses, a sweater, who can see yo-kai, has a total crush on you, who is pretty smart, and is pretty reserved, that kid Lucas right?"

Lina said, "Yes, wait what?" she didn't process the middle part.

Toiletta said, "Wow I guess I may need to guide you in more than just the world of yo-kai."

AN: Okay so there we have it and for the record I did not steal the idea of "Familars" like in Damona and the Details, I always thought everyone with a yo-kai watch would have a yo-kai partner like how Nate has Jibanyan, Whisper, and in some odd cases Buchinyan, or how Hailey has Usapeon, or how Nathaniel has Hovenyan or how Lucas has… well you'll see. I have a yo-kai partner paired up with everyone one I am planning on giving a yo-kai watch to, I mean I hope you didn't expect me to end with just Nate, Lina, and Lucas. I thought Toiletta fit Lina perfectly considering how she is interested in ghosts which would probably include urban legends and well Lina seems like the type to be interested in curses and they just seem to work well as a team. I decided to make her feel alone because well that's sort of Toiletta's thing in reality and she needed time to get used to the watch and the world of yo-kai plus writing does somewhat reflect the emotions of a writer but don't worry about me. Oh and check out Black Omochao one of my favorite writers on here and probably influenced my decision on putting Lina in here with one of their fics. Hope you enjoyed this chapter, please review.
