Chapter 28

Tower Clash: Guardian vs Giant (Part 2)

AN: Okay here it is chapter 28 the second part of chapter 27. So last time Nate, Jibanyan, Whisper, Komajiro, and the newly Evolved Komane saw a massive yo-kai I bet many of you know what it is in fact one of you already guessed it. Anyway sorry, it took a little bit hope you enjoy.

Disclaimer: I still don't own yo-kai watch if I did I probably wouldn't need this disclaimer that I forgot this time.

Nate, Whisper, Jibanyan, Komajiro, and Komane all looked at the creature that cast a shadow over the five of them on top of the unfinished structure. The monstrous yo-kai Kyubi the guardian-in-training yo-kai was sent to fight. Nate, Whisper, Jibanyan, and Komajiro all looked at the yo-kai with fear. It was a giant. It was a ginormous man-like yo-kai with pale white skin covered by purple lines all over his face and body, he also had dark red wisps that were made of wisps but looked like body hair the yo-kai was bald on top of his head where there was a giant purple scar in the shape of an X which must have hurt to have gotten. The yo-kai had blueish purple teeth that looked like they were stained like that and a green tongue in his huge mouth that was gaping open in an unreadable expression. Yet the thing that horrified Nate and the others the most were the black eyes they were dark like the night sky with blood-red glowing pupils that seemed to burn into the souls of the five. Nate and Whisper were completely terrified at the sight of the monstrous yo-kai. Komajiro and Jibanyan were similarly horrified but they held their stances ready to fight if they needed to. Komane was the only one who looked unphased, he looked ready to fight despite just fighting Kyubi though on the inside Komane was quite frightened he just didn't want it to show besides the feeling of just taking down a powerful yo-kai like Kyubi still had its effect on Komane.

Nate asked, "Hey Whisper who the heck is this guy."

Whisper pulled out his yo-kai pad and said, "Um, uh, oh here he is. Oh my. This fella here is called Massiface."

Komajiro said, "Fitting name."

Jibanyan said, "Yeah talk about a face nyot even a mother could love."

Nate asked, "Hey Massiface what's up?" Komajiro, Whisper, and Jibanyan all gapped at the question.

Whisper asked in a concerned tone, "Did you really just ask 'what's up' to a giant like this."

Nate said, "Well I am trying to avoid confrontation since we have been fighting quite a bit. I don't want to just assume this is a bad yo-kai just because he looks scary."

Komane stood in front of all four saying, "If Kyubi was sent to take care of this guy then I don't think we'll be able to reason with it nor that it is a yo-kai with good intentions. Kyubi may have been a bully but he still is a guardian even if in training."

"MASSIVE!" shouted Massiface.

"Well I guess that confirmes that we have no other options." said Jibanyan, "Let's do this."

"Quickly Nate summon more yo-kai to help out this is not going to be easy." said Whisper.

"This is going to be a rough battle," said Komajiro.

"Yup we're going to need all the help we can get." said Nate, "Okay calling all my yo-kai friends, Yo-kai medals do your things." A circle of green light formed around the watch with slots on it. The hands spun around and landed on Tattlecast's medal.

Tattlecast! And Friends.

Along with the yo-kai already there Nate summoned Tattlecast, Robonyan, and Appak.

Whisper said, "Wow I haven't realized that your arsenal of yo-kai friends has grown to include so many powerful yo-kai."

Komajiro said, "Yeah you have quite the supernatural entourage."

Robonyan asked, "Ah so how did komasan's battle go?"

Appak said, "Yeah how'd the little guy do."

Komajiro said, "See for yourself." as Komane turned to look at them with serious eyes but paired with a smile.

Appak asked, "Komasan is that really you?"

Robonyan said, "Scanning wow it really is the Komasan from before incredible my memory files seem to have lost that memory."

Appak said, "Amazing man I guess then you won and took down that big bully Kyubi."

Robonyan said, "So our training must have paid off."

Komane said, "Yup I really did and I evolved too I am a whole lot stronger now. Thanks again you guys but come on we got bigger matters at hand."

Robonyan said, "Of course let's go."

Appak said, "Alright man let's do it." Robonyan flew up above the group, Komane and Appak both stood side by side preparing to fight with Jibanyan between them both. Komajiro was right behind preparing an elemental attack. Tattlecast was in the very back by Nate and Whisper ready to heal when needed.

Massiface then shouted, "Massive." before slamming its massive hand down on the construction site causing it to shake like an earthquake hit. Komane and Jibanyan barely dodged the attack. Komane dodged and then jumped off of the building to punch Massiface though he didn't do much if any damage. The giant yo-kai didn't feel a thing. Appak then tried to slash at Massiface it had zero effect it was like a fly trying to attack a bull. Jibanyan and Robonyan's attacks also did nothing even when Robonyan fired a rocket fist on the back of Massiface's head but even that didn't phase Massiface. Komajiro let loose a bolt of electric energy but that did nothing too. Tattlecast tried to inspirit Massiface but the inspiritment seemed to just slide right down Massiface.

Nate said, "Urh we're not doing a thing."

Whisper said, "Ah, oh it says here Massiface's skin is just as thick as Slimamander's. There is no possible way to get through it."

Nate said, "There has to be a way, keep going, you guys." Massiface slapped the construction site again this time knocking Robonyan out of the sky.

Robonyan said, "Ouch." and then he flew back into the fight, "take this." Robonyan fired another rocket fist but it didn't do much.

Komajiro said, "Take this." Komajiro hit Massiface with another jolt summoned from the sky. Massiface just continued to attack. Komane formed a ball of fire and shot it at Massiface but like Komajiro's attack, it did nothing. Appak blasted Massiface with a torrent of water. To Massiface it just felt like a light spray of water. Massiface then flicked Robonyan with his fingers.

Robonyan said, "Urm, glitching." Robonyan then fired both its fists. Hitting Komane and Appak with his punches.

Komane asked, "Hey what was that for?"

Appak asked, "Which side are you on."

Nate asked, "Hey what's up with Robonyan, Whisper?"

Whisper said, "Um, well it looks like that flick from Massiface confused Robonyan so now he's not sure who to attack."

Nate said, "Uh. Robonyan snap out of it."

Robonyan shook his head and said, "Sorry about that. All systems optimal. Going back to the battle now." Robonyan then flew back to hit Massiface again.

Whisper said, "Hmm this is going very badly it's like with Phantasmurai but this time you don't have any of Lucas' yo-kai friends to help you."

Nate said, "That's true but so far both Slimamander and Phantasmurai had weak spots I bet Massiface is the same we just need to find it's weak spot."

"RAHHH!" roared Massiface as he slammed his fist into the construction site causing it to shake.

"Ha you missed." said Jibanyan.

"Um Jibanyan I don't think he was aiming for us," said Komajiro. The building started to fall apart with some of it falling on them. They were all hit by things all of them being hurt.

"Tell tell tell," said Tattlecast as she healed everyone but she was obviously getting tired.

"Tattlecast can't keep healing she's getting tired." said Whisper, "we need to take this guy down and quick."

"Yeah but we're not doing a thing to him we're just like flies," said Nate.

"Hey, maybe this will work. Okay, here we go my best attack. Paws of Fury." shouted Jibanyan. Jibanyan leaped up into the air surrounded by a blue aura and then he unleashed a barrage of punches right to Massiface's head.

"Arhh!" shouted Massiface as he was punched in the eyes.

"That's it, he's like Slimamander okay everyone aim for the eyes," said Nate. Nate turned on his target feature of the watch and hit just above Massiface's left eye.

The other five yo-kai expect for Tattlecast said, "Alright Nate." Jibanyan fell back after the attack and Nate said, "Good job Jibanyan you found his week spot."

Jibanyan said, "I did? Cool." right before he ran back into the fight.

Whisper said, "Um Nate that wasn't his weak spot."

Nate asked, "What do you mean Whisper?"

Whisper said, "Well the data from the pin says that while everyone else is attacking and getting a reaction out of Massiface he doesn't seem to be taking damage he is still filled with energy to fight. Oh no and he is about to unleash a Soultimate."

Nate said, "No that's not good."

Massiface became surrounded in a purple aura right before he shouted, "Massive Swat." Massiface reeled back right before he let swung his whole arm knocking away Komane, Appak, and Robonyan all at the same time. Tattlecast again tried her best to heal them but they sustained a lot of damage. Komajiro struck Massiface with a bolt of lightning in the left eye causing him to become blind in one eye. Massiface then flicked Komajiro causing him to wildly zap everyone. Komajiro accidentally hit Tattlecast, Appak, and Robonyan before he snapped out of it.

Nate said, "We have one eye down that must have done something."

Whisper said, "I am afraid not. He is still filled with energy while we are getting weaker with every attack."

Nate said, "He must have some sort of weak spot."

Whisper said, "No I don't think so Nate you see that scar up on his head. That scar is the only wound he has which was made by a legendary swordsman who wielded a legendary sword."

Nate said, "Wait that's it his skin may be tough but that scar must be weaker. Okay, change of plans everyone aim for that scar." Nate recalled the pin from Massiface's face and then hit his scar with it.

Appak said, "Okay, then man. Take this, Torrent Slash." Appak then jumped up high and slashed Appak with an extended flowing water blade. The cut didn't just deal damage to Massiface by cutting into his scar but it also blinded his other eye.

Nate said, "Yeah Appak you did great with that slash. Way to go." Then they all targeted and attacked Massiface's scar.

"Arhhh!" Howled Massiface with every blow. Massiface kept trying to land blow after blow but missed every time. Massiface missed every slap and flick. Massiface then slammed his fist into the building causing it to shake again. Everyone was hit by falling debris. He then finally opened both his eyes again and let out a horrible glare scaring all of them.

Nate said, "Come on guys just keep attacking the face; eyes and scar."

"Okay Nate." they all said. So that's what they did Komajiro and Jibanyan went after the eyes while Komane and Appak attacked the scar. Robonyan attack all three places randomly while Tattlecast just landed the occasional anywhere she could. Massiface in response slapped them with his hand and flicked them. He confused Appak into fighting Komane for a little and Jibanyan into attacking Robonyan. Massiface even caused a few more earthquake-like shakes to the building. The battle was rough but it got even rougher right as Komajiro blinded Massiface's right eye Massiface became surrounded in a purple aura.

"Massive Swat," yelled Massiface.

"Don't worry friends I will take the blow." said Robonyan, "Guard Meowde." Robonyan took a defensive stance and blocked the attack from making it to the others of course at a price. Robonyan was defeated. "I am sorry I have failed you. I'll be back," said Robonyan before disappearing into a portal.

"Robonyan!" said Nate, "How is this guy able to do another Soultimate!"

"Massiface is quite the big yo-kai I bet he has tons of yo-kai energy inside his body and since his move requires little energy he can probably use it quite a bit before he gets tired. Nate, we really should wrap things up quickly. All the yo-kai are tiring and Massiface may be taking damage now but not enough we need to keep going," said Whisper.

"Come on guys pick up the pace you can do it," shouted Nate.

"We're trying our best," said Jibanyan.

"This guy is just so strong," said Komajiro.

"We can't give up now guys. Don't worry we'll get through this," said Komane. Komane then blinded Massiface by pelting his left eye with a blast of fire.

"Now's our chance again dudes let's do it," said Appak. Appak, Komane, Jibanyan, and Komajiro all started to attack the scar on Massiface's head.

"Arhhh!" he screamed in pain before reopening his eyes again hitting them with a nightmarish stare. It was another cycle of attack again but this time he flicked Tattlecast. Tattlecast wasn't able to heal in her confusion and in that time Massiface caused a couple tremors to strike the building and the yo-kai. Jibanyan was the next to fall.

"Massive Swat," said Massiface as he prepared to knock all of Nate's friends out cold in one final swoop.

"Max Volume 11" shouted Tattlecast's speakers as Tattlecast launched herself from her speakers to slap Massiface right on the head causing his attack to miss.

"Yeah, Tattlecast." said Nate, "Woo-hoo." holding a fainted Jibanyan in his arms

"Nice one Tattlecast," said Komajiro.

"Tell tell," said Tattlecast as she came back to the ground but the victory was short-lived because then Massiface slammed his hand onto Tattlecast reducing her to her soul essence which floated over to Nate.

"No, he got Tattlecast," said Nate.

"That's not good, you can't heal yo-kai any more. That is really really bad," said Whisper.

Komane said, "Don't worry I think we almost defeated him."

Appak said, "Just a few more attacks."

"They're right Massiface is getting worn down he's almost defeated," said Whisper.

"Good, come on guys you can do it," said Nate. Komane and Komajiro stood back hitting Massiface with their elemental attacks while Appak slashed and slashed at his head.

"Raaah!" said Massiface crushing Appak with a hand slap to the ground. Appak was reduced to a soul alongside Tattlecast.

"Come on guys you can do this," said Nate.

"Massiface!" shouted Massiface before causing another tremor on the building floor. Debris was falling everywhere. Komane jumped to protect Komajiro.

"No Komasan… er Komane no, we need you." said Komajiro.

"No, you don't... and don't worry... about me I'll be... fine," said Komane before puffing into a soul.

"Komasan!" shouted Komajiro. Something broke inside. Komajiro's exporb broke. Komajiro became surrounded in swirling light.

"No way," said Nate.

"Oh my," said Whisper.

Where Komajiro once stood a yo-kai that looked like Komane but with Komajiro's color scheme appeared.

"Woah, Komajiro evolved what is he now Whisper?" asked Nate.

"Um… Uh… ah, He is now known as Komiger in following his brother he has learned many things so now he is strong too."

"Okay then Komiger let's finish things," said Nate.

Komiger's fists crackled with energy just as he cracked a smile and said, "Sure thing Nate for Komane! Crazy Lightning." Komiger became surrounded in a brown aura and then he shot it into the sky. Clouds formed high above and then sent dozens of high voltage bolts struck. Massiface was hit everywhere by the attack. He felt it all that time shouting, "AHHHHH!" Massiface was then struck in his face both his eyes were instantly blinded and his forehead was destroyed by the final bolt. Massiface then fell from the building down into a purple smoke disappearing.

"Yeah, Komajiro, er Komane, er um Komiger you did great." said Nate.
"Yes you certainly gave Massiface a shock," said Whisper.

Jibanyan came back up and said, "Yeah good job nyan you were amazing. Awe man both of you evolved I know I like the way I am now but why do you guys get to evolve and nyot me."

"You did great bro," said Komane as he ran up to hug his brother.

"Komane, you're okay," said Komiger.

"A little tired but good. So you evolved too cool. Good for you little brother." said Komane.

"Yeah that's totally rad my bros you both so much stronger now," said Appak.

"Tell tell," said Tattlecast in a happy tone. But the group let down their guard too soon. Massiface's arm rose up and he was back for a final attack "Massive Swat!" He was ready to knock all the yo-kai out in one final blow and send Nate to his demise but then,

"Inferno." said a familiar voice as a ball of fire knocked away Massiface's hand. The fox-like figure who owned the voice then rushed in and slapped Massiface right on the scar with his nine tails sending him down for real this time.

"Kyubi!" exclaimed Nate, Jibanyan, Whisper, and Komiger. Komane wasn't surprised.

"What are you doing back here?" asked Nate.

"Yeah didn't Komane defeat you?" asked Jibanyan.

"Uhh, yes, as painful as it is to admit, Komane did defeat me, in fact, I am still very tired from our fight but I knew you guys couldn't handle Massiface on your own but apparently I was quite wrong. You have a lot of strong friends on the other side Nathen Adams I see why my master has an interest in you. You befriend a multitude of yo-kai and it seems you can make even the weakest strong here take my medal." said Kyubi flying up higher before tossing Nate his medal, "I am a very powerful but I am also a very busy yo-kai summon me sparingly I can't just come at your beck and call all the time."

"Okay thank you," said Nate.

"Good luck Nathen Adams, you are more special than most are led on to believe you may not know it yet but you are an important part of this game," said Kyubi as he flew higher until it looked like he was in the moon, "I bid you goodnight." right before he disappeared in a puff of purple smoke.

"Well that was weird," said Komiger.

"Wow Nate, quite the powerful ally you have made I bet other than Shogunyan, Kyubi is your strongest yo-kai," said Whisper.

"But Komane just beat him," said Jibanyan.

"Well that is true, Komane had all the boost he could and Kyubi largely underestimated our dear Komasan. I bet he wasn't expecting evolution," said Whisper.

"Hey Komane did great, especially if Kyubi is as strong as you say he is," said Nate.

"Thanks, Nate," said Komane.

"So how does being evolved feel nyan?" asked Jibanyan.

"Um well I certainly feel more powerful but um…" said Komiger.

"I think I get what you're feeling Komiger, it feels great during battle but it just feels weird when we're out of battle," said Komane.

"Don't worry you get used to the changes I personally love being an Appak," said Appak.

"You know it feels weird being a Komane," said Komane.

"Same here," said Komiger. Suddenly the same aura that filled the both of them from before came again and they reverted back to their prior forms.

"Oh, my swirls what happened?" asked Komasan.

"Yeah I feel different," said Komajiro.

"WHAT?" said Appak and Whisper.

"What's going on nyan. I thought evolution was a one-way thing?" asked Jibanyan.

"Me too what's up Whisper?" asked Nate.

"I don't know this has never happened before. There is no record of this in the yo-kai pad," said Whisper frantically.

"Wait what we're Komasan and Komajiro again?" asked Komajiro.

"Oh my swirls!" said Komasan.

"How is this even possible?" asked Appak.

"Hey Komasan what are those things around your necks?" asked Nate.

"Huh?" asked Komasan.

"Hey bro look you have a weird blue gem around your neck," said Komajiro. Komasan saw the gem on his neck it was a light blue gem that swirled it looked like Komasan's wisp.

"Oh, I guess I do, you have one too Komajiro," said Komasan.

"Oh I do don't I maybe this is the reason why we can change back and forth," suggested Komajiro.

"Oh, I see what you both have there is a swirly soul. You see those are made of yo-kai energy a special yo-kai energy that causes Komainu like Komasan and Komajiro to evolve. I guess since it is not entirely infused with either of you. You can switch between both forms I guess because of those gems." said Whisper.

"Hmm Okay," said Nate.

"Cool we get to use both forms yah!" said Komajiro.

"Phew. I liked feeling powerful but I also didn't feel right being Komane," said Komasan.

"Well either way it seems we're done here so let's go home," said Jibanyan.

"Okay then thanks again for helping me train y'all," said Komasan.

"Anytime, thanks Appak and Tattlecast for helping us take down Massiface," said Nate.

"You're welcome dude glad to help," said Appak.

"Tell Tell!" (No problem) said Tattlecast.

"Now we better get home quickly," said Whisper.

"Hey what's the rush Gargaros shouldn't be a problem anymore," said Jibanyan.

"Yes but we still shouldn't worry Nate's parents," said Whisper.

"Yeah, I don't want to push my luck besides Gargaros only punishes naughty children. I know he goes a bit overboard but he's still looking out for us in a way." said Nate, "now come on let's go we should get some rest anyway." And so the seven left the construction site. Nate and his friends felt really good. They were stronger than ever and they knew they could always count on each other. They were ready for anything.

Somewhere in the yo-kai world, Massiface was recovering from his defeat.

"You failed me Massiface." said a dark voice.

"No please sir give me one more chance," said Massiface in the same voice as his battle so his words sounded like a thunderstorm.

"No, no, you have served your purpose, and you failed to wipe out this human not that it matters much he doesn't seem like much a threat. I'll just let him deal with the human, you on the other hand are useless to me now other than for your energy..." said the voice.

"NOOOO!" shouted Massiface as he disappeared from the yo-kai world.

AN: Okay so another boss bites the dust. Okay so this time Komajiro evolved and both the Koma brothers can switch between forms I hope you liked that. Nate also befriended Kyubi, who is actually helpful trust me we will be seeing more of Kyubi later on, though maybe not if Nate summons him. Nate is befriending stronger and stronger yo-kai because soon enough things will start getting a bit rougher for Nate but I also want Nate to have a fresher team so he'll be using some other yo-kai for a little bit. Anyway, we won't be seeing a boss yo-kai for a little while but I hope you enjoy that next few chapters. Anyway, I hope you liked this chapter thought it was just more battling.
