Some time had passed since Kai and Naomi met up with each other. The entire time they had been talking and catching up. Kai explained how their parents were doing and whatnot, while Naomi hesitantly explained how she was brought to this world.
"So... you were summoned after someone already had a familiar?"
Naomi nodded at Kai's question. "That's right."
"Neat."
They kept talking on and on. Kai mostly skimmed most of what had happened, only going over the really important stuff so that his sister wouldn't get worried.
Hearing about how Kai fought people, Naomi assumed it was due to his Gandalfr runes, but upon further inspection...
"That tail..." Naomi was in a state of shock and horror. She had thought it was a belt.
Kai looked down and unwrapped his tail from his waist. "Oh right, this ol' thing. Apparently, when I was summoned I was turned into a-"
"Saiyan."
Kai looked at her, confused. "Yeah, how'd you know?"
Naomi threw back her cape. Around her waist was a fuzzy brown tail, just like Kai's. "I was too."
Kai's eyes widened. "Woah! I wonder why we did... I mean, Saito didn't. Hrm..." He put a hand on his chin.
"It's odd. I had assumed that there was only one Gandalfr."
There is only one.
Hearing that voice, Kai sighed. "Well, there kinda is? Saito and I share some aspects of Gandalfr while not sharing others. Imagine it like Gandalfr was split straight down the middle and divided between us."
"How long has he been here?"
"Same as me. We were summoned at the same time."
Hearing that explanation made something click in Naomi's mind. "So that's why..."
"That's why what?"
She shook her head. "Don't worry about it."
Kai shrugged. "Oh right, how are you communicating right now?"
Naomi looked at Kai with a puzzled expression. "What do you mean?"
"Like, the language of this world. How are you speaking it? I mean, I understand the words of this world, plus Japanese, 'cause Louise tried to cast a silence spell, and messed it up. Actually... How the hell did a messed up silence spell...?"
"That girl sounds like a handful."
"Bah, you get used to it."
Naomi looked at Kai's face and shook her head. "You have horrible taste in women."
With a blush on his face, Kai waved his hands around. "Woah woah woah, first off... uh..." He shook his head. "Whatever, we have the same taste in women!"
Naomi shook her head. "No, we have the same taste in men."
"But... I don't- Ah, I fell right into that one didn't I?"
"Yup."
While the two of them started laughing, a pink-haired girl saw Kai and started approaching.
Turning around, Kai raised his hand. "Oh, hey Loui-"
Upon seeing the crest on Naomi's corset, Louise's eyes widened, and she quickly forced Kai's head to the ground while bowing.
"Forgive me and my humble familiar! His behavior is that of a child!"
Naomi let out a snicker, and Kai yelled, "Shut it, Nao-"
His head was forced back onto the ground. Naomi stopped smiling. "Though it was funny at first, I'd appreciate it if you would stop forcing my brother's head into the dirt."
Hearing the word brother, Louise was stunned. So stunned that she let go of Kai's head.
Patting himself off, Kai stood back up. "Yeesh, you didn't need to do allat."
"B-B-B... Brother...?" She was still stunned. That crest was one that only priests serving directly under the Pope wore. Along with that, Kai was from a different world! How was this girl his sister?
Kai had a crooked smile on his face seeing Louise in that state. "Naomi, this is the girl who summoned me to this world, Louise. Louise, this is my sister, who so happened to be summoned to this world before me, Naomi."
Naomi looked her over. "Hm."
Finally getting over her shock, Louise stood up and looked at Kai. "Her Highness has requested our presence."
Kai let out a sigh. "Crap, sorry Naomi, duty calls."
Naomi closed her eyes. "It's fine, though I don't know why Her Majesty would request your services. Be careful."
"Yeah yeah, screw you too. See ya later!"
Watching the two of them walk off, Naomi decided how she felt about those two. She didn't like it. She didn't like that girl, Louise. She let out a sigh. She was here to scope out Gandalfr's power as quickly as possible, and that mission was accomplished. However, the results were somewhat disappointing.

In Tristain's royal palace, Henrietta sat on the throne. Even though she was a queen, it still felt odd to sit on the throne.
After the coronation was finished and she became queen, her responsibilities grew exponentially. People were demanding loans, appeals, or other similar things, and Henrietta, from dawn till dusk was always meeting with someone. Because of the war, there were even more guests than usual.
Since she always showed her dignity no matter what, she started to get tired. Even though Mazarin helped, she had to answer questions herself. It was far too late to go back to being a princess.
A voice called from outside the room, informing Henrietta about the guest's arrival.
Right after that, the door opened.
Louise stood there, bowing her head. On her left was Saito, and on her right was Kai.
"Louise!" Henrietta ran up and embraced Louise.
Looking up, Louise muttered, "Princess... No, I have to call you Your Majesty now."
"You know I don't like it when you talk so formally. Aren't you my friend?"
"Then, I will call you Princess, as usual."
"Please. Aah, Louise, I don't want to be queen. It is twice as boring, three times more straining, and ten times more worrisome."
Louise went silent, waiting for Henrietta's words. This morning was when her letter arrived. She had asked for Louise to come to the palace, and that there was a visitor from Romalia coming to the Academy.
Kai, Louise, and Saito had boarded a carriage that Henrietta had prepared.
I guess this is about my 'Void' spell. She seems hesitant to talk about it though... Louise thought to herself.
Henrietta just looked into her eyes, not talking.
Reluctantly, Louise said, "I ought to give my congratulations on the victory." Louise tried to find a harmless topic to talk about with Henrietta.
"This victory was all thanks to you, Louise."
Louise watched Henrietta's face with a startled expression.
"You can't hide such a great secret from me, Louise."
"B-But I didn't do a thing..."
Louise tried to play dumb.
Henrietta smiled and handed a report, written on parchment, to Louise. After reading it, Louise sighed.
"You scouted all of that?"
"Well, since it's the war results, it is better to not overlook anything."
Henrietta faced Saito. Since he heard from Louise that Henrietta was queen now, he felt a little nervous.
"For controlling the flight machine that destroyed the enemy's dragoons, I express my greatest gratitude."
"No... it's not like that."
"For your bravery, I shall grant you a peer's title."
Saito didn't know what it really meant, but it didn't matter. When he got back to Japan, all titles would lose their meaning.
"Great... a really great war outcome. Louise Françoise. The way the battle ended is all thanks to you and your familiar. There has never been such a victory in Tristain's history. By all means, Louise, you should be given a territory the size of a small country and the title of duchess for this. And your familiar awarded with a peer's title."
"I d-don't need anything... this deed was my familiar's..." Louise muttered hesitatingly.
"Weren't you the cause of those two lights, Louise? Those were called a miracle of the castle, yet I do not believe in miracles. Aren't you the cause of them?"
"He was the first one..." Louise said quietly while pointing to Kai who was nervously laughing since he had been left out so far.
"Guilty as charged."
"What was that light?"
"Well..." Kai looked to Louise who reluctantly nodded. "How about I just show you?"
While Henrietta had a confused look on her face, Kai took a deep breath in.
Gentle. Be gentle.
A gentle breeze somehow flew through the room as Kai's hair started to spike up and turn gold.
"So... Mazarin was right about that first light. It really was the Golden Demon... Well, I'm glad you are on our side."
"Not scared, huh?" Kai let out a breath and his hair returned to its normal black color. "Well, Louise here was the second light."
Henrietta intently watched Louise. It was impossible to hide anything with her staring like that.
Slowly... Louise talked to Henrietta.
She took out Henrietta's Water Ruby, placed it on the pages of the Founder's Prayer Book and an ancient script appeared. When she read it out back then, she cast a spell from it that made that light.
"The Founder's Prayer Book was written using the Void element, wasn't it?"
Henrietta stared over Louise's shoulder.
"You knew, Louise? Founder Brimir gave rings to three children from three royal families to keep as a treasure. Tristain got the Water Ruby and the Founder's Prayer Book, which are both in your possession."
"Err..."
"It has been handed down like this among the royal families. Royal families were the ones that inherited the Founder's power."
"But, I'm not from a royal family."
"What are you saying, Louise? The ancestor of Duke Vallière was the king's illegitimate child. And you are the Duke's child."
Louise was startled.
"You, too, have the Tristainian Royal Family's blood. And that is good enough."
After that, Henrietta took Kai and Saito's hands. Seeing the runes, she nodded.
"Is this the sign of Gandalfr? The sign of the familiar that Founder Brimir used for protection while casting spells?"
The two boys nodded. Osmond said something like that before.
"Then, am I truly a Void User?"
"I think it is so."
Louise sighed.
"That's why you understand that I cannot reward you that way, right, Louise?"
Kai, who didn't understand, asked, "Why?"
Henrietta answered with a clouded face.
"If I were to give a reward, Louise's secret services would be exposed in the daylight. That would be dangerous. Louise's power is too big. Even one country could not manage such power. If an enemy learned about Louise's power, they would become frantic about it and would do anything to get it. I alone should be the enemy's target."
After that, Henrietta sighed.
"Enemies are not the only ones interested in Void. Even inside the palace... those who know about that power, will always try to use it for their own purposes."
Louise nodded with a scared look.
"Therefore, Louise, you should not talk to anyone about that power. Your secret is safe with me."
Then Louise thought for a while...
And, slowly, she opened her mouth.
"Don't worry. I want to dedicate my void to you."
"No... it is all right. You must forget that power as soon as possible. And never use it again."
"But... I want to help you with the powers I was granted!"
Henrietta just shook her head.
"Mother said, great power drives people mad. Who could be sure that you, after gaining the power of Void, would not turn out the same way?"
Louise proudly lifted her face. It was the face of a person who had decided her mission. Such a face was dangerous.
"I always wanted to dedicate my power and body to Your Majesty and the country. I was taught so, I believed so, and I grew up with that. However, my magic always failed. As you know, I was nicknamed 'Zero'. Behind sneers and contempt, I was always shaken with regret. However, God gave such a power to me. I, myself, believe in using this power. Still, if you say that Your Majesty will not need it, then it is necessary to return my wand to Your Majesty."
Henrietta was touched by Louise's speech.
"Louise, I understand. You are still... my best friend. From the times when you helped me and took the blame for when I did things..."
"Princess..."
The two of them tightly embraced each other. Kai looked away. Helping her is nice and all, but what about finding me a way home? ...Am I being selfish?
Kai looked over to Saito, it seemed he was thinking something similar.
"After this, I will help Louise too."
"Naturally, princess."
"Then I give the Founder's Prayer Book to you. However, Louise, promise me. Don't tell anyone that you are a Void user. And do not use it recklessly, either."
"Certainly."
"After this, you will become my court lady and will obey only me."
Henrietta then took out a quill pen and smooth parchment. After that, she signed the document and put down the pen.
"Take this. This is my formal permission. With this, whether in the royal palace or inside or outside the country, you will have supreme authority over everything Tristain related, even the police. If there is no freedom, one cannot work well."
Louise took the permission with an expression of gratitude. Henrietta's authorization. This meant that Louise was granted the right to act in the queen's name.
"If I face a problem that only you can solve, I will surely consult you. Officially, please act as a student of the Academy of Magic like you have up to now. Since it is you, you will, without a doubt, do well."
After that, Henrietta turned towards Kai and Saito.
Having an idea, she fumbled within the pocket of her dress. When she took out some golden coins, the two boys' eyes widened.
"I ask you to look after Louise... my important friend, kind familiars."
"T-That's... I cannot take it." Saito was amazed at the gold and silver coins in her hands.
"N-Neither can I."
"By all means, please accept it. Giving you this is the least I can do for the two of you. You both showed your loyalty to me and the country. This should not go unrewarded," Henrietta said with sincere eyes.
When they saw her eyes... it was impossible to refuse. After accepting the money, Kai felt a strong sense of obligation.
Kai put the coins in his pocket, as he thought about going home.
ㅤ
When they walked out of the palace, Saito ran up ahead, toward where most of the shops were. Sure, he felt a little bad for taking that money, but he wouldn't say no to a shopping day.
With his hands behind his head, Kai let out a sigh. "Really, you are way too eager to give out promises..."
"What do you mean?" Louise stared into Kai's eyes.
"Well, since we're helping the princess, it's gonna be a hell of a lot harder to head east."
"Stop bugging me about it!" Louise averted her face and started walking, leaving Kai behind.
Quickly catching up, Kai grabbed her shoulders. Since they were on Bourdonne Street, the main street of Tristainia, many passersby started to stare at the two of them.
"Hey! People are looking! Let go!"
Kai said in a hushed voice, "You... are you saying that I shouldn't go back?"
Louise let out a 'Huu!' at Kai's words.
"So that's it, isn't it? You are worried about me leaving, right? ...It'd be hard to help the princess otherwise."
It's not like that... That's not the reason why I don't want you to go back. But those words just wouldn't come out. It would show off her hazy feelings for Kai, and a gripping fear overtook her. Along with that fear, Louise's pride wouldn't let her say anything similar.
Louise, going along with Kai's words, reluctantly nodded.
"T-that's right! No one would worry for a familiar like you otherwise!"
"...So that's how it is..." Kai's mood soured as he started walking off.
You didn't have to say something like, 'It's because I love you!', but something else would have been better...
When Henrietta asked for his help a while ago, though he thought it'd be a bit bothersome, he was glad to help. No one really needed him back home. The Earth kept spinning, even with Kai gone. It was different here, there were some people that needed him.
Yet, he wanted to feel needed by Louise more. However, judging from her words earlier, all that she cared about were his powers.
Kai pouted. He was sulky.
Kai started to move through the crowd. The town was crowded from the victory celebration. A drunken group was yelling out toasts while hanging out their cups filled with wine.
Louise, still in shock from Kai's words, was petrified for a moment. With her face down, she bit her lip. When she looked up after a while, Kai was already gone in the crowd. Louise ran out panicking.
"Move!"
Louise bumped into a man, hard. A man, who looked like a mercenary, collapsed. In his hand, he had a bottle of ale, which he gulped down vigorously. He seemed to be completely drunk.
Though Louise tried to pass that man, he grabbed her arm.
"Wait, Miss. You ought to apologize for bumping into a person in the middle of the street."
Then another man, who seemed to be a mercenary, noticed Louise's mantle and muttered, "A noble, huh?"
However, the man who was grabbing Louise's arm didn't move.
"Today is the festival celebrating the victory in Tarbes. Put aside the rank. Today nobles, mercenaries, and salesmen are equal. Hey, Miss Noble, how about sharing one drink with me as an apology for bumping into me?"
Saying so, the man thrust out his jar of wine.
"Let me go! You brute!"
Louise shouted. The man's face became brutally distorted.
"What did you call me? Hey! Who do you think attacked Albion's army in Tarbes?! Holy Woman or nobles like you? No! Us soldiers!"
Just as the man was about to strike Louise, someone grabbed his arm.
Right before the man's eyes, a boy appeared.
"Back off." The kid's voice was low.
"What? Go away, kid!"
Kai glared at the man. "I said. Back. Off."
If this were the Kai back on Earth, he would be trembling from fear in front of a guy like this. But, this was a Kai who had practically seen death's ugly face and lived to tell the tale. This one guy didn't compare to that, hell, he'd take on every person in the bar if he had to.
The experience that he had gained through battles over the years told him that Kai's attitude wasn't just a bluff. Then the man spat and, urging his companions, left.
Letting out a breath, Kai turned to Louise with a worried look. "Hey, are you alright?"
Louise gave a short nod, and as if remembering why he left her behind in the first place, Kai went silent... Though he wouldn't let go of her hand.
Louise tried to say something to Kai. But, being flustered, she couldn't find the right words. Kai walked rapidly, pushing through the crowd.
"Are you angry?" Louise asked in a small voice.
Louise heard a small sigh escaping his lips. "Not really..."
The clasp of his hand made Louise flustered for a moment. Does he feel the same? However, since Kai walked straight ahead, she couldn't see his face.
Louise followed while being dragged. It was both a chilly and pleasant feeling, that Louise couldn't understand or explain.
ㅤ
Louise, while walking and holding hands with Kai, cheered up. The town was filled with colorful festivals, joyful shows, food carts, and stalls where unusual goods were sold and were stretched down the street.
Being a Duke's daughter, Louise never walked in such a lively town this way. More so, she never walked in town holding hands with a guy. Those two things combined, made Louise's head light and dizzy.
"Yeesh it's loud," Kai said.
"True," Louise muttered happily.
"Feels like a fair from my world."
"Really?"
Kai took a moment to survey the area. "Stalls full of food and trinkets... The smell of fresh baked goods in the air... Games that no one can win... Yep, exactly like a fair from... my world..."
Just like his voice, Kai's gaze seemed distant.
Louise tightened her grasp on Kai's hand.
Somehow, the thought of Kai suddenly leaving for someplace made her feel bad.
Sometime... the day when Kai leaves, will surely come.
But, when walking together like this, the one I want you to see is me. For now, nothing else matters.
At the same time, she was angry at herself for thinking that way.
Because of love? That's not it. It was her pride that was the problem.
After convincing herself of that, Louise looked around blankly.
And then, shouting 'Waa', she stopped.
"What's up?" Kai turned around to see that Louise was staring at a jewelry shop. There were various rings and necklaces on display.
Seeing her face, Kai asked, "Do you wanna check it out?"
With a blush on her cheeks, Louise nodded.
Seeing the two of them approaching, the merchant inside started rubbing his hands together. "My! Please come in! I see you are a noble miss. We have rare goods to offer. These are all made from Wrought Gold, and it is not a scam."
Kai blinked a few times, what was with the merchants of this world being so suspicious?
Louise picked up a pendant. It was pure white, carved in the shape of a shell. Around it were big jewels, but they all seemed to be cheap pieces of glass.
Still, Louise liked the pendant.
"You want it?"
With an embarrassed look, Louise shook her head. "I don't have the money."
Kai let out a puff of air. He didn't like spending money as soon as he got it. "Hey, how much is it?"
The merchant smiled. "I'll give you a bargain. Four ecus."
Louise shouted, "Too expensive!"
Kai ignored her and reached into his pocket. Pulling out four gold coins that Henrietta had given him, Kai prayed that he wasn't falling for too big of a scam. "Is this enough?"
Seeing Kai holding the money surprised the merchant. However, seeing the glittering gold surprised him more. "T-This is! Fuuu... This is quite enough."
Taking the coins, the merchant gave the pendant to Louise.
With the pendant in her hands, Louise was taken aback. The first thing Kai did with his money... was buying me a gift... After staring at it in disbelief for a while, she happily put it on.
Louise turned toward Kai to see his reaction, but his stares landed elsewhere.
"Saito...?"
Hearing him, Louise followed Kai's gaze to see Saito at another nearby stand. The stand had loot captured from the Albion army. Swords, armor, clocks, articles of clothing.
Saito, as if entranced, picked up some of the clothes.
Curious, Kai and Louise both walked up behind him to see what exactly he was getting. Upon seeing what exactly it was, Kai was frozen, but Louise started to get a little judgemental.
"You want clothes? That's fine and all, but it isn't a good idea to wear clothes the enemy used to wear. There are much better outfits out there."
Saito didn't pay attention to her, and walked up to the merchant.
"Dear customer, you have an excellent eye. This is a seaman uniform from Albion. Though the true age of the uniform is unknown, it is quite convenient. Turning the collar up protects the neck from winds."
A seaman uniform? No, Saito knew it as a sailor uniform.
His mind started racing. The uniform was a little big, but... it could be modified for Siesta to wear...
He imagined it.
It was good.
Gratitude! That's it! This would be his way of showing gratitude for the muffler!
"How much?" Saito seemed overcome with emotion.
"Three for one ecus."
Louise's eyes widened. That much money for clothes in general was absurd, but for second-hand clothes was insane.
Before she could open her mouth to say something about it, Saito paid for the uniform.
ㅤ
ㅤ
Back in her room, Louise sat on her bed, looking at the Founder's Prayer Book while humming a tune to herself. She seemed to be in a good mood.
As Kai started to put on his hoodie, he spotted a letter on the desk. Going over, it was addressed to him. The only way he knew was because the letter was written in English.
Naomi had written that she had to go back to Romalia since her mission in Tristain was completed and that she would try to find time to see him again.
Kai let out a small sigh. He wanted to see his sister for longer, but... oh well. It was good to know that she was alive.
Just as Kai was about to open the door, there was a small clicking sound, and the knob wouldn't turn. It seemed that Louise had cast the Lock spell on it.
"Are you going somewhere?"
Kai let out a small scoff. "What, me? No, I'd never dream of doing so." He was about to go out to train.
Louise's eyes narrowed. She suddenly walked up to Kai and took his hoodie off.
"W-Woah! Just what do you think you're doing?!"
"Taking it off."
"Duh doy. I meant why?"
Louise didn't answer him and continued taking the hoodie off. She looked half angry as she bit her lip.
Then Louise went back to bed, hugging the hoodie tightly, and said, "Face that way."
With all of her clothes taken off, Louise, only wearing Kai's hoodie, pouted.
"Still want to go out?"
Kai's eye twitched a little. Damn this girl... If he went out to train now, he'd probably catch a cold. Or at least, that's what he thought.
Taking a deep breath in, Kai plopped down on the bed.
Louise, lying down on the bed, began to read the Founder's Prayer Book.
"Isn't that completely blank?"
"I can read it."
Louise showed the Water Ruby on her finger to Kai and explained how it's related to the Founder's Prayer Book.
"So... Void..."
Kai thought back to the other day. That gigantic light destroyed the fleet, saving everyone's lives. Along with that light, he felt an intense pressure radiating off of Louise, but that could have very well been from the exhaustion.
"Since you have Void... You're the strongest mage, right?"
Louise looked away from him. "I wouldn't say that..." She let out a small sigh. "I haven't told the princess, since I didn't want to disappoint her..."
"What didn't you mention?"
Louise closed her eyes and began to mutter an incantation. "Eon Sun Fuir..."
Kai's eyes instantly widened. There was a pressure in the air, which meant it was real. "W-What the hell are you doing?! S-Stop it, you idiot!"
If an explosion of that caliber were to happen here, it would be catastrophic. But, Louise kept chanting.
"Yarunsakusa..."
Finishing the chant uninterrupted, Louise lifted her wand. Kai transformed into Super Saiyan and ducked under the bed.
All of a sudden Louise's eyes rolled back and she crumbled on the bed.
"Louise? Louise!"
Kai's golden hair faded, as he shook her in a panic. After a while of shaking, Louise opened her eyes.
"Auuu..."
"Wh-What just happened?!"
Shaking her head Louise got up abruptly.
"Stop making such a fuss. I only fainted for a moment."
"Y-You... Wha..."
"I keep chanting Explosion until the last syllable, but... nothing. After I cast it before, no matter how hard I try, I faint right at the end. The explosion only happened once."
Back on the bed, Kai crossed his legs while deep in thought. "Hm... Any guesses as to why?"
"I think... that I don't have enough willpower."
"Willpower?"
"Right. Willpower is consumed when magic is chanted. Didn't you know?"
Kai shrugged. "How would I?"
Louise sat straight up, lifting a finger with the pride of a lion.
"Listen up! The number of elements that a mage uses can increase and their class increases accordingly. A mage who can use one element is a dot. Two elements makes a line. So on and so forth. Each time the spell class rises, the consumption of willpower doubles."
Kai took the role of a student listening intently to a teacher.
"For instance, a line spell would cost a mage eight willpower, but when that mage decides to use a dot spell instead, only four of his willpower will be consumed. The cost depends on each person individually, however, the same rule applies to everyone."
"Yeah, it makes sense. Bigger spells use double the power."
Louise nodded. "Along with that, when a mage grows in rank, the weaker spell takes up half as much willpower. So when a mage becomes a Triangle class mage, they could use a dot spell four times, a line spell twice, and a triangle spell once."
"So, you fainting a second ago..."
"Yeah. I tried to use more willpower than I had. The spell was too strong."
Kai closed his eyes for a moment. "So, I'm assuming that willpower recovers over time? Like while you're resting."
Louise nodded. "That's right."
"Right then... So, working theory is that you saved up a butt ton of willpower over time since you haven't cast spells properly till now, and you used it all up in that one blast."
Louise looked surprised.
"Going back to your number analogy, let's say you saved up... 100 willpower. That gigantic explosion used up all 100. Since that amount is ginormous, it can't recover overnight, so it'll probably take a fair amount of time to recover. So for some time, no more big explosions."
Louise's face grew serious. "It might be so..."
"Hm?"
"Applying square class earth magic, Wrought Gold can be created from gold. But do you know why we still use money?"
"Why?"
"It is said the square mages simply cannot chant the square spells many times. It's too unreliable, one time the recovery might take one week, the other, one month. Besides, the amount of gold you would convert is way too little. Therefore money is still used instead of gold."
"So, in dumdum terms, big spells use lots of willpower, and when it's that much, it takes a ton of time to recover."
Louise nodded. "Who knows when I would be able to cast that spell again... A week? A month? A year?"
"Ten years?"
"Don't say something so scary."
Kai scratched the back of his head while nervously laughing.
"Oh well. No one can understand Void fully. Anyways, the incantation's power was demonstrated. There are no other spells like this one."
"So no more trump card for now. Aw crap, my hay..." Kai said while he looked down. It seems like when he transformed, he accidentally blew his hay all across the room.
"Isn't it all right? Even if there is no pile of hay," Louise muttered, blushing for some reason.
He let out a sigh.
"I guess so- Hm..!" Kai held his breath once he noticed something. He couldn't think. Louise didn't seem to notice. The hoodie's hem had rolled up a lot.
Kai was able to turn his head away. Due to Kai's gesture, Louise became aware that the hoodie had rolled up. Instantly she sprang to her feet and held down the hoodie's hem while blushing.
"Ah! You saw! You saw, you saw! You saaaaaaaw!"
"I-It's your fault for not wearing anything underneath!" Kai shouted back.
"I can't sleep with them! It was always that way!"
"Always, huh?"
Then Louise bit her lip and, with some rustling, slipped under the blanket.
"Sleep."
Kai reluctantly slipped behind the blanket's edge. He heard the voice of a sulky Louise within the blanket. "Sleep in the pile of hay, peeping familiar."
"It's scattered though."
Though he heard Louise groaning a few times within the blanket, she calmed down after a while and fell asleep. Kai too, fell asleep.
