In the Cave Max and Zoe held eachother for warmth, Max then said it, with our fear as they feared the end, "I love you Zoe Drake." he said his breath visible despite the fire they started on their end using some burnable wood they found in the cave. Zoe looked up at him. With death on the way he finally admitted it, "Always have always will, You are brave, strong and the kind of girl who would rather save herself. Granted you have a temper and can be a bit crazy for stars, but no one is perfect, The cherry on top is how you are as cute as a button. The reason I act a fool I am nervous around you,, Worried I will make you hate me. ...well plus I am autistic but still I love you."
Zoe went pink blushing, he listed the things he liked the things he didn't and declared her he still loved her, That was picturing a full person. Granted phrasing could be better but he couldn't help it. She held him nuzzling into his chest saying, "I love you too. You are brave kind, sweet, friendly, Don't have a bad bone in your body, Granted you are a baka, but I am tsundere so I guess that makes us the classic combo." She giggled holding his shoulders and while red she dove for it, not giving him any time to panic or dodge, She crashed her lips onto his as he held her close. The couple kissed death around the corner, they could at least go out together if this was the end. They rolled around kissing eachother happily.
Now Elsewhere in the Hunt for the mega antler deer, It's alpha pink nature did one thing, ruin it's hide among the trees by being brown like them, camouflage, Bright pink in a field of brown, green and white, It stood out even with out the armor. However it didn't need it. The current random wind and earth dinosaur, you take your pick as it's not important as they are being drained of life and carded by the deer's antlers. This attack makes stealth pointless. While hid , Run, or fear when anything that could earth you, you could make die? Now Amy and Rex had been in the antler's spot light, meaning it couldn't drain the health of things not in cards.
This fact made Rex state the only logical answer, "We can't use our cards they are useless to it's life drain. We need to do this like ice age humans." Rex then found some vines and braided them into primitive rope. Amy gasped, as Max made a snare and buried it in the Snow, "Snare, Dad thought teaching me this for catch and release hunting would be a good bonding activity...What? My move in with the Taylor's was only Three years ago, when dad Had to move around for work as he didn't read the fine print." He put it and knocked snow over it. He said adjusting the rope in a tree branch, "when it steps through this spot the leg will get caught, and if it's at full speed the leg will break leaving it unable to flee. So now we herd it like the cavemen did."
Amy smiled and quickly summoned out Tank and said, " Molve attack," Tank moved around under the ground making the ground shake, This made our mega mammal card think the earth quake was coming and it dashed to escape the trees before they fell over it's bath Blocked by "Earth barrier ." making walls appear like in the myth of the Nurikabe , sure enough Amy's use of earth had it heading the right way, they jumped back as it dashed into the snare. Within moments the Deer roared in pain as he was at high speed, and the snare stopped it's leg suddenly while in motion. A snap was heard as the leg shattered making it become a card.
Back at the camp site, Doctor Owen was struggling to try and active the fire stone to summon a fire dinosaur to use a fire move card, I say struggling for one reason, the man wasn't good in emergency's sure he knew what to do but he was a shaky person. His hands kept shaking so he kept missing the scan the card thing on the Alpha scanner. Amy and Rex couldn't use other ones as they bounded to Earth and wind respectively. No one was bound to fire, So he tried to use this one or the clone of it at least to summon Terry, and use fire canon. He was trying but missing as he growled, "Dam shaky hands!" he dropped the scanner not holding it and getting down on all fours to try and deal with just one shaky hand, and sure enough, it didn't work, his one shaky hand was enough to fuck him up. "GOT DAM IT THEY COULD DIE IN THERE! Come on come on Alpha slash...Wait my head isn't shaky!" he held the card in his teeth and slashed it, "Alpha slash." he said muffled form holding the card in his mouth.
Terry appeared roaring before shaking and shivering like crazy, The Doctor Slashed a move card with his mouth, "FIRE CANON!" Terry spat a fireball then carded from the cold night air. The fireball hit the cave and the tree, flashing ice to steam and starting a fire in this forest. The snow was melting putting it out quickly making the area turn steamy. The fire was small as Terry mostly hit the mark.
On their end the steam made Max and Zoe break their kiss and gasp for air, That's when Max saw it, "The dino holder I can reach it." he pulled it out grass he handed it to Zoe, "Me lady Your magic wand." he bowed like a knight in a story giving something to his princess. Zoe was red and smiled taking it. She then pulled out a card. " Olorotitan Dino slash." With a charge the dinosaur broke the snow barrier allowing Max to reclaim his holder. Max held Zoe's hand, "Thanks Doctor Owen we heard terry's roar."
Doctor owen pointed to his teeth, "Don't thank me thank my dentist." They blinked, "My hands were so shaky with my bad nerves I had to slash with my mouth." They gasped getting it now. "That's why it took so long, Sorry about that." That's when Amy and Rex showed up to See Max and Zoe fine.
The doctor however put them in the car to turn it on for heater, "You are warming up in here for a few hours kiddos, You need it." The two under a blanket together smiled cuddling and some times kissing happily. No one really slept that night. Come morning they had to abandon the car they had, Won't start, not that it mattered gas goes bad in a few months, meaning when it got to cold to drill for it or make more, Gas cars and machines would be come useless as fuck, just dead weight. The most practical machine around would be Eletric snowmobiles if you have a dollar or other non gas power system to charge it. However the next town was far up.
Once to it Doctor Owen pulled out three credit cards, 'Now Kids up ahead is a ski resort town as this is the natural snow line of this mountain, made for rich people fun in snow, the lights tells us it's still running, That means I am going to get us some Rooms, Boys and girls. However!" he gave one card to Max and Zoe, and the other to Rex and Amy, "This is the last chance to be normal, The last chance to have a normal date, this is company credit cards, I don't have to worry as ice age. Meaning take this things and go forth spend, have a date night, Both of you." Rex and Amy blushed at eachother, "Even if it doesn't work out Rex and Amy at least you enjoyed your youth together at your last chance to do so, before the world you were growing into is erased in a big white blanket of ice and snow, destroying all future plans, hopes and dreams, as no more school, no more collage , no more jobs, no more future, no more malls, no more toys and games, No More video games, no more nothing. I mean the internet can probably last through it, for the most part satellite and underwater cables, but the devices to connect to it might not last sixty years. Mostly as the factories making new computers will shut down. Everything is going away so enjoy it all day goodbye in the arms of someone that does or could love you to kiss it all goodbye with."
the Teens looked at eachother and split while Doctor Owen got the rooms together. Max and Zoe right away with to the movie place in this building, they sat down together eating popcorn and cuddling together watching a movie, Dinosaur one mocking it for how real dinosaurs don't look like that. After that they went to a buffet.
They eat and as it was gold they did the two straws one drink thing with a massive cup of hot chocolate. Smiling as they did holding their chins looking at eachother lovingly. Now it was a normal date and felt normal for once, things like getting food on your face and wiping it off, or being embarrassed about it happened. Zoe however didn't play around with Salad, as food stores were going down she enjoyed the stuff like Pizza, Fried food, and cheese. How melty cheese, right beside her boyfriend. Max and Zoe smiled holding hands smiling, they didn't know what future they where going to have. This ice age would last sixty years, they would probably be Grandparents before the ice melted. If they could live that long without modern medical help.
After eating till they where sick next came shopping, not the normal shopping with the card, they were buying things like first aid kits, other medicines, instant and canned food, things that would soon be worth more then ten tons of gold. Max also took time to buy A ring when Zoe wasn't looking. He wasn't going to give it to her now, but when they where older even if they couldn't get an official wedding, he wanted to give her the ring.
Rex and Amy's date went similar, they went see a movie, A horror movie as Amy's parents won't let her watch those so she wanted to do it. Note the one scared and holding their date was Rex. Then they eat, and had their own cups of hot chocolate as Amy didn't think same drink as sanitary. The date ended with shopping for luxury items or what would be, like Make up, batteries, Blankets coats, ski suits, other cold weather clothing, Solar panels and finally they found it.
Rex and Amy looked at it and said it, "Snow mobile." An Eletric one for sell, more showing it was a Bombardier, style one with is famous for snow mobile car hybrids with doors, roofs and heaters. It was a hybrid machine, it had wheels and the tracks and skis dropped down to use instead. an experiment machine and they were buying it for Doctor Owen. the date ended with Amy giving Rex a Kiss on the cheek while blushing.
that night in the girls room. Zoe was happily in Pajama suit, pants shirt, mittens and booties added. She laid down in this yellow comfy suit of Pajamas and said this, "Tv, heater and hot bath, as this room has one massive hot spring tub. I swear I wish we could stay but if we stay we won't be able to make it to Minmi's place with is a fortress...Still horrified I haven't heard our families other then Doctor Owen." Amy in a similar suit of Pajamas but in purple laid on hers and watched the Tv on the winter and cooling, even in the sandy hot places were becoming cooler, making them nice summer or spring weather places. Zoe said, " Guess Meena is going to be queen of a place that's a paradise with flush green and warmth for the next sixty years."
In the boys room. Max was on the Phone with his Aunt Minmi he was using their built in Phone which was a satellite one hooked to a screen that functioned as a tablet. It was a smart house phone with do exist. "Aunt Minmi Don't let anyone fool you this is an ice age it's linked to the dinosaur reports and other prehistoric creature things, I have proof when we show up...wait you believe me why?...wait you said you form your window heading out saw a Saber tooth tiger that was pink followed by five grey ones, in battle armor like it hopped out of an 80s American animation?...It shot ice cannon balls out it's mouth?" That's when the call device in question had a display of lock time twelve hours till unlocked.
Doctor Owen headed to the wall were the thing was plugged in and cut it, "it appears what ever is behind this ice age mammals is sending things form our end goal meaning they know it. odd, This also means Your Aunt is technically a hostage. now I have wire splicing kits and a cox of cords and adapters we are stealing this thing to use So I and loading this into my backpack twelve hours or not, it's still a satellite phone."Doctor Owen commented
