On the bridge the Alpha Wolly Rhino held it's head forward using move cards to blindly shoot crystal spikes. to protect the only transport they had, The Summoned Dinosaurs had to take the hits. Zoe then spoke up, "Rhinos modern day one's can only see Twenty feet in front of them, So Metal wing!" She slashed the move card. The attack came from behind and by time it was less then thirty feed away it was too late for the tank to do anything. It was hit and took damage, right as the mix of spike shots and cold got our hero's dinosaur's carded.
Max said one thing, "A time warp battle field would be good right now so we didn't have to worry about breaking the bridge." he said hiding behind a tree with Max. " I can't believe I am going to say this, but I went rock climbing all the time on digs with my dad, Same with Rex... We can climb down back up and summon dinosaurs behind it...We need to split up, Ladies can you guys defend the car?" Amy summoned Tank to use earth barrier to block the spike arrow like attack.
Zoe summoned one of the dinosaur love birds to use, "Big Foot assault." the foot stepped on the incoming spikes to block. Zoe smiled, "We will do our best. " The boys bolted down below the sides of the Bridget and started climbing back up with leaps. Max Looked down at a cold river below it, Not frozen yet, "Frozen would be better! broken legs over freeze to death." he said commenting on how close it was. Rex nodded as they shimmed along the sides of the Bridget goal get behind it get close summon dinosaurs move card attack. Kill it as they would be in it's blind spot.
The girls however were still blocking the attacks. Amy had switched to another earth dinosaur This one was a Polanchthus if you don't know what it is, it looks like stego but the plates stop in the middle of the back. This dinosaur was using crystal crusher to block the spikes. Zoe had the other love bird dinosaur using, "Green impulse." Again her summons tanked the spike shots.
The boys however made it to the other side. They met and tan behind it cards out, Max had picked Chomp's friend form Hawaii, Rex had chosen the one he summoned out the card book that time. No words just slashing to summoning them as they slashed move cards, " Fusion move thunderstorm bazooka." The movie triggered too close for the Rhino to react and smashed into it shattering armor, and carding it.
Max picked up the card, "Earth too bad this is useless to us, and we just don't want them to trigger again." he said lampshading collecting these megamamal cards. the girls then ran jumping into their boyfriend's arms to hug him. Zoe hugged Max and said, "I know we didn't have a choice , but That was scary." She said looking down, "Only medic we have is nature's blessing for crying out loud."
Rex then looked down and said, " yep." the blonde petted Amy, "but right now let's move along we are so close." he looked up they could see smoke form a chimney higher up, "That's probably form Minmi's chimey, I hate to say it but we haven't seen fire or Secret out of this guys, I think we at least have two left before we are there."
Our owner of the lighting stone was holding his girlfriend as they headed back into the car, "I hate it that , That's right and makes about as much sense as anything else we do. I hate secret dinosaurs. The Pachy was a bitch, the one's that followed more so. I hate them." They got back in and headed down the bridge moving along. Max commented on something, "What's going to be fire and what's going to be secret, I don't know much ice age animals. For all we know fire could be a giant beaver breathing fire." Amy said this, "If we face a giant flaming beaver I will lick the snow mobile."
Doctor Owen spoke up, "I believe their their was the American Cheetah in the ice age, It could be it super fast small hard to hit, agile breathing fire. " Amy said, " what about giant armadillos and giant birds, Armored thick strong flame thrower and flying flame thrower." Zoe commented, "A bird would be a dinosaur and what ever is behind this clearly doesn't like Dinosaurs so I dought we will see them."
The blonde boy said one thing, "Dad how about trying to Call Minmi again? her number should be saved. " Doctor Owen tapped the screen, "Can't we are a half hour way from when this thing is programmed to lock for twelve hours however, Look what we found." A trailer park one filled with hippies. A Hippie Camp in winter. "Which means we have safety for the night at least, but turn down anything they offer you, their is probably weed in it. "
sure enough everyone got out as they parked a Hippie was about to say something about it but Doctor Owen said, " You see the solar panel on it showing this thing is a Eletric and self charging right?" The hippie looked down in shame, "Like Sorry Man." The kids went to look around this trailer park slash hippie down. Zoe looked around and came to a large fire bit in the middle. car sized, burning. The four teens sat down smiling at it. Zoe held her hands to it, "This is were we are camping tonight. By the fire before moving on to my boyfriend's aunt's place." Cue insert generic speech about labels form one of the hippies in no animal fur winter wear.
Amy's eye twitched, "They are not going to make it through the ice age, no green houses, they will turn out of plants to eat and won't go to animals and hunting. This guys are doomed." Max held a hand out and said, " Explaining why of all the future people we know, no one was a hippie it finally died out, for a reason. Peace and love doesn't save someone when the world is ending, Love is motivation, but to survive a world ending event you can't talk your way out of it. You can't talk your way to peace with unliving, you can't talk snow into going away, you can't talk a lion into not attacking you, You can't teach a tiger to eat a salad. You can't survive with peace when the world is ending and peace is gone."
Zoe whistled at her boyfriend's line as Doctor Owen was bring the camping gear. " Darn Max where did that come from?" The boyfriend poked her forehead, "Simple I am in love. I love you, so I will do what ever it takes to protect you, and if I can't look myself in the mirror at the end of the day, I won't have one on me." Zoe was red, rubbing her left arm, "Gee Max I love you too, and I would do anything to make sure we are safe together." they held hands and nuzzled foreheads.
Amy turned hands on hips, "would you do horrible things to make sure I am safe?" Rex said one thing, "yes hell yeah, Would you me." Amy pointed and said one thing to her boyfriend, "fuck yeah." they nuzzled before Doctor Owen caughed and they got to setting up their tents around the fire. One hippie laughed, " tents it's nature no need to protect yourself form nature." This guy slept on the snow nothing else. He won't make it as anyone with common since knows nature is cruel, everything wants to kill you so you don't eat it. This is more proof this people's way of life won't work in an ice age.
Come morning our heroes would pack up a leave, they would notice many hippies turning sick some no longer moving, Frozen. Frozen. The ice age was here, and it wasn't going to be ice, it only looked like a normal winter right now. while riding along Doctor Owen looked at the map on the device, "Goodness children, While I couldn't teach anyone we are almost to Minmi's house, this stretch of mountain road is our last obstetrical." he said slowly driving down this snaking road.
That's when it came out roaring an Amphicyon pink alpahed to be dinosaur sized, If You don't know this ice age predator, it's name means bear dog, which is a fitting description of this thing. It charged knocking the snowmobile on the side. everyone gasped the hauling trailer now loaded with wood thanks to the hippies broken, the snowmobile on it side but working Max said it, "we need to beat it then use the dinosaurs to see if the snow mobile will work still if not we will need to Dino haul it."
