On the planet Linphea, Flora woke up to the sun entering her room and her sister Miele jumping on her bed shouting "Wake up, Wake up, Wake up!"
Flora groaned as she rolled onto her back "Give me 5 more minutes, it's vacation."
As Miele dragged her elder sister off the bed by her leg, she explains "But dad wants you to help out some guys at the store."
Flora grabbed the edge of her bed to get up and said "Okay." As she yawned.
The nature fairy took a few minutes to wash her face as she put on her round framed glasses, a light green hoodie and darker green pants.
She went downstairs to her family's shop and saw her father Rhodos, speaking to a familiar man with red hair in a messy faux hawk.
Rhodos smiled "Good Morning Flora, I know you're on break but do you mind helping Mr. Bishop with something."
Flora nods as she asked "Sure exactly what seems to be the problem?"
"Meadow Back Goats have been found petrified for the past few weeks. I believe it's the work of a Basilisk." Kenny explains.
"Really, so I'm guessing you need my help to traverse the woods to find it." Flora asked about her potential role in this.
Rhodos snapped his finger as he gave the girl a thumbs up "Yes and no, you'll be working with a few specialist in training."
Flora heard a familiar laugh coming from outside as she hesitantly went outside to confirm her suspicions.
She saw the laugh belonged to Austin as he pinned to the ground by her leaf green colored MagiWolf Amarok with Timmy and Riven watching over him.
"Okay down boy, you're a bit too big to jump up on people." Austin chuckled as the wolf licked his face.
Before any of the boys noticed her , Flora hid back inside and darted back up to her room.
A minute later the boys entered the shop as Riven said "Hey did the door just open?"
Rhodos answered "Yes, my daughter went to check on you and just went back to her room."
"Was it because I was playing with her pet. I'm sorry he just kinda of jumped onto me and it was hard to stop." Austin apologized while whipping the slobber off his cheek.
Rhodos smiled "Don't worry about it Amarok is pretty affectionate. Plus it's proof he likes you."
Austin thought "Wait I think I heard that name before?"
Flora walked back into the story without her glasses, neatly brushed hair and wore a small yellow sleeveless vest with two large pockets on her chest, pink cargo shorts bound by a darker pink belt and short pink boots.
Riven smirked as he says "Wow Flora, didn't think we'd see you here. Right Austin." He shook the Beast Tamer's head as it seemed Austin was tongue tied at the nature fairy being in front of him.
"Yeah, so I'm guessing I'll be joining you four on this mission." Flora said with a visible blush in her face.
Rhodos looked at his daughter being unable to hold eye contact with Austin as he pulled Kenny aside.
"Did you know about this before coming here?" He whispered.
Kenny shook his head "Nope, in fact just yesterday I found out the spikey haired one is my nephew."
Timmy raised his hand and asked "So exactly where do we start looking for this Basilisk."
Rhodos noticed the boys weapons and says "First thing first, we have to give you guys proper weapons."
"But these weapons are up to Red Fountain standards, how are they're not proper weapons." Timmy asked somewhat doubting the man's opinions.
"He means that since our weapons are technological, they would disrupt the environment." Austin answered after managing to gather his focus.
Rhodos smiled "Seems you're well versed in our culture."
Austin rubbed the back of his neck "I've been here before, came to tame a Meadow Back Goat."
Rhodos chuckled "You should ask Flora for tips, she was…"
Flora placed her hand over her father's mouth "You don't need to tell him that. Let's just get these guys equipped for this mission."
"Three time Mutton busting champion" Rhodos continued his thought after moving his daughter's hand away.
Flora looked away in embarrassment as she quietly lead the group to Linphea College as they were greeted by the Guru at the school's training ground.
He was an old man with long white hair, a Fu Manchu mustache and a long white beard. He wore a long green coat that is tied with a brown belt at his waist over a brown baggy pants, brown shirt, white tunic and brown boots.
"Welcome young heroes, I've heard you're in need of weapons for a quest." The guru answered.
The boys bowed as Austin answered "Yes, we wish to use the forces of nature to help your world."
"Very well, select your weapons and handle them with care." The guru answered as a pedestal of weapons rose from the ground.
The boys looked in amazement as they tried to see which weapon they should choose.
Timmy noticed a gun with a bow on the front and said "Best to go with my usual."
"I see, the Thunder Bow. With it you'll be able to strike your enemies with the force of a lightning bolt." The Guru states.
Riven sees a small metal hilt topped with a magenta-colored orb. He actives it as curved dagger blade of magenta-colored energy married from the hilt.
"The Solar Boomerang has great capabilities for short range and long ranged attacks." The guru mentioned.
Austin look at the remaining options as Flora asked "Having troubles choosing a weapon?"
"Yeah, with a job like this, I need to be able to face the Basilisk without being petrified." Austin sighed while picking up a sword handle.
Flora picks up a thin metal bracelet with an orange gem in the center "How's about this, the Shield of Sand should definitely help out."
Austin's eyes perked up as he dropped the sword handle "That's it, this should nullify petrifaction spells. Thanks Flora."
The girl nodded as she handed him the bracket "N…no problem."
"Now with the appropriate weapons, go forth and complete your quest." The guru said wishing the teens good luck.
As the group went deep in the forest, Austin mentioned "So… you used to be a mutton busting champ?"
Flora groans "I know it's embarrassing, but haven't we all done weird stuff as kids."
"H.hold it, I don't think it's weird. I mean to be a three time champ shows you were dedicated. Plus you're speaking to a fellow Meadow Back rider." Austin reassured the girl.
Riven smirked as he was leading the group through the woods"Okay you two, focus on the mission. You can flirt on your own time."
Timmy silently chuckles as he says "Think they'd get together after this mission."
"Who knows, It all depends on one of them getting the courage to ask the others out." Riven said as he shrugged his shoulders.
The group heard a roar coming from a cave ahead of them. Austin moved in front of the team as the bracelet formed a circular light brown energy shield.
He slowly approached the cave and shouts "Show yourself, you foul beast."
A stone scaled lizard like beast with wings and ruby red eyes flew out the cave and tried to claw at Austin.
"Don't look directly in its eyes, it could be the last thing you see." Austin said as he stared at the beast through his shield.
Flora transformed and blew green powder which exploded into vines that attempted to restrain the beast.
But its claws managed to tear the vines apart as it flew straight towards the teens.
Timmy shot at the basilisk with his crossbow, yet found the blast only slowed its movement down.
Riven threw his boomerang at the beast's legs and saw it managed to draw blood.
"It's not invincible, so we can slay it." Riven shouts trying to encourage the team.
Austin states "Flora , Timmy. Give me and Riv some cover."
Timmy began shooting with his crossbow while Flora shot a beam of golden flowers toward the enemy.
The basilisk screeched as it was forced backwards as Riven lunged at the beast's legs to slash at its neck.
While the beast was writhing in pain, Austin flung his shield at the scar and heard a blood curdling scream as it hits its target.
"Finish it off Flora." Austin shouted as the shield formed back on the bracelet.
Flora nodded as long thorny whip and swiftly slashed as the scar, beheading the creature.
"Now that was a killer move, nice job Flo." Riven gave a thumbs up as Flora landed on the ground to detransform.
"Thanks , guess Team FREA had a prey good first outing." Flora smirks.
Timmy said "Wait I still have to use my last name?"
As Austin picked up the basilisk's sever head , he mentioned "The alternative is Team FART."
The four teens shook their head as Timmy agreed "Though FREA has a pretty good ring."
The group triumphantly returned to the college as the Guru says "Well done, you seemed to escaped the basilisk unscathed."
Riven smirked "Well we're used to deal with dangerous beast. So it wasn't anything major."
Kenny tussled his head "Seems you've got that Bishop blood in you after all."
On the sidelines , Flora said "Hold on your mentor is related to Riven?"
"Yeah we all found out yesterday, it's pretty small world." Timmy said as he returned the crossbow to the platform.
The guru questioned "Are you sure you want to return the weapons. Your actions today prove you're worthy of them."
"I'm more used to using tech, though this does give me an idea on a new modification." Timmy said.
Riven placed his weapon on the platform as well "It definitely felt right, but I prefer my other weapons."
Austin rubbed his right thumb against the bracelet on his left wrist "I'm thinking of keeping it. A shield is definitely useful."
The Guru nodded "Very well, I wish the Shield of Sand protects you in many battles."
The group bowed before walking off , Riven nudges Austin and whispers "You probably kept it because Flora picked it out for you."
Austin elbowed Riven's ribs "Shut up she might hear you."
"Come on man, I have years of picking on my cousin to catch up on." Riven argued as he pulled Austin in a headlock.
Austin slipped out of the hold and said "Then how's about we catch up on some family sparing as well."
Before they could get to fighting, Flora suggested "How's about a Meadow Back Race instead?"
Timmy agreed "I'm in , but Austin can't you use Cliff."
Riven says "True, you have to pick out a normal goat like the rest of us."
Before Austin could agree, he felt his phone ring and answers it.
"Oh hey, it's been a while. Wait… really, that's a bit last minute." Austin commented as he was on the call.
He listened for another few minutes and sighed "Okay I'll be there. I'm guessing I can't push it back for the day after?"
Riven asked as he noticed Austin's troubles expression "Is everything alright."
Austin nodded his head "Yeeeah, just seems I'll have to leave the group for a couple of days."
"Seriously, you can't stay for the Meadow Back race?" Flora asked.
Austin gave a disappointing moan "No and it sucks, I'll head back to homebase in Magix."
The Beast Tamer summoned Nimbus and took flight into the skies.
"I wonder what's so important, he had to leave so quickly." Timmy asked.
Kenny winched "It's a bit complicated."
