Saber 12

It was the last period of the week as Team SABER found themselves faced with one last challenge before they could start the weekend, Etiquette 101 taught by Professor Mueller.

He was a thin man in his late 30's with short black hair in a black pinstriped suit with a yellow tie and wore black-framed glasses and brown dress shoes.

Though he was a lenient man with an easy to understand lesson plan, it was his lectures that made his class a living hell. His voice was so eerily calm and dull that it felt as if the room was filled with sleeping gas.

As he was snapping a rubber band against his wrist to keep himself awake, Riven sat Timmy blink at him in morse code "You have the tickets."

Riven blinked back "Yeah, we'll stop at our dorm on the way back to get change and head into the city."

They saw Austin staring blankly at the ceiling until Mueller asked the beast tamer "Mr. Hall, care to answer what this spoon is for." He pulls out a metal spoon with a circular bowl.

Austin hesitates for a second before answering "That is a soup spoon."

The professor chuckles "Close but it's actually a bouillon spoon as you can see by the smaller bowl and shorter handle. But it's a common mistake to the untrained eye."

Austin could see Louis and his squad snickering at him as the professor went on with his lecture.

Once class ended and Team SABER were getting changed back to their dorm, Brandon said after yawning "Don't let those jerks get to you man."

As Austin was going through his trunk , he says "I know but those assholes are so annoying. Like aren't bouillon and soup the same thing."

Before Sky could explain the difference, Brandon covers the mouth.

Once Austin pulled out a black jersey with three thick gold stripes resembling a claw mark across the front and back , he exclaimed "Found it!"

Curious Brandon asked "Not that I'm ungrateful for the Siegeball tickets, but why a match against the Zenith Ravens and the Osiris Jackals?"

"I mean who wouldn't be passionate about their home team." Riven states

Confused Sky asked "Wait but weren't you from Domnio but raised in Magix?"

Austin explained "Despite my title I was actually born on my dad's home world of Osiris."

Brandon says "Wait so why weren't you raised by your dad?"

"After the Fall of Domnio and my mom's passing, He wasn't in the best shape in raising a child. Along with him not having any relatives, Riven's grandparents took me in." Austin said.

Timmy says as he raised the 5 tickets in the air "Well cheers for Raymond and Gwen for raising you and giving these great seats."

Once Austin placed the jersey on, he said "Then let's get going, I wanna get some snacks before the match."

The team made their way to the stadium and found themselves waiting on line for the concession stand.

"Riven, have I told you that I'm loving your new relatives?"Brandon said as he leaned his arm on Riven's shoulders.

Riven brushed the arm off as he smirked "Yeah they're pretty cool."

Just as the team made it to the front of the line Austin ordered "Can I get a bag of pretzel bites, a jumbo blue raspberry slushee, some of those cola gummies and 2 chilli dogs." He looked to his teammates "You guys want anything?"

Brandon smirked "2 chilli dogs with some fries and a jumbo cola."

Riven answered "The same but I'll take some Ember crisp instead of fries and a jumbo orange soda."

Sky and Timmy responds "Just a jumbo popcorn and 2 medium sized cola."

The cashier began racking up the total and states "Okay all together your total will be 10,550 Ore."

Sky hands the cashier the exact amount which consisted of a King bill along with a platnium and silver coin respectively.

From the corner of his eye, Austin saw several middle age men in Jackal jerseys surrounded a younger boy with chin length magenta hair and glasses wearing a white and green highlighted Raven's jersey

The beast tamer ran towards them and blocked an attack from one of the older men.

"How's about we calm down and not resort to violence." Austin suggested.

"No way in hell, this brat is wearing a Raven's jersey. Everyone knows the Jackals are number one." The middle age man spat with his breath smelling like he just drank a barrel of alcohol.

The rest of SABER joined Austin as Brandon says "Look we don't want any trouble, how's about we walk away and enjoy the game."

The drunken men attempted to attack , but SABER managed to block and counter their hits, knocking them onto the ground.

Seeing that they were out-matched, the middle-aged gang fearfully ran off.

Austin looked at the magneta haired teen and saw he looked at the group in amazement as he said "That was so cool! Are you guys from Red Fountain?"

Sky smirked "Yep, we're Team SABER, Red Fountain's best freshmen squad."

The teen smiled "Awesome, my name is Mackenzie but people call me Mack for short. I want to enroll in Red Fountain myself but that won't happen for another 2 years."

Timmy calculates the age of Mack and said "Well you'll be enrolled by the time we're seniors. So you can count on us to show you the ropes."

A few minutes later the guys saw Tecna and Bloom run up to them as the former asked "Mack where were you, you said you were just going to get some gummies."

Mack apologized "Sorry sis, I got surrounded by some drunk fans but these guys helped me out."

Timmy says "Whoa Tec, I didn't know you had a younger brother."

Riven commented"The hair and being from Zenith should've been a give away."

Confused Mack said "Wait you know these guys sis?"

Bloom explained "Yeah these are some of the specialist we talked about , Prince Sky, Austin, Timmy, Riven and Brandon."

Sky suggested "Hey Tecna, you wouldn't mind if I switch seats with Mack. I'm more of a Lancers fan and we're seated close enough to hear the players curse from the penalty box."

Mack pleaded with his sister "Can I sis, Can I, Can I , Can I?"

Unable to resist her brother's puppy dog eyes, Tecna agreed "Fine, but we meet back here at the end of the game."

Mack picked his older sister up for a hug "Thanks sis, I promise not to hack into your digital journal again."

Just as Tecna realized what her brother said, she exclaimed "YOU WHAT!?"

Timmy and the other guys dragged Mack off along with their snacks before Tecna could attempt to retaliate.

About 20 minutes later, Tecna, "Brandon" and Bloom found their seats.

"So exactly what are the rules of Siegeball?" Bloom asked.

Tecna and Sky chuckled as the latter says "Wait you came to a match without knowing the rules?"

Bloom shrugged her shoulders "I thought Mack was going to explain them during the game."

Sky says as the players went into the field "Well I can give you the basic rules, teams consist of 7 players, 3 forwards who are in charge of scoring, 2 defenders who block their opponents, 1 goalie and the cannoneer who mains the Ballista."

Bloom noticed a of cannon on each side of the red marked center of the field as she exclaimed"Wait you guys shoot cannon balls at each other!"

"It's more of a leather ball the size of a small melon getting shot at you at 40 mph. But that's why they have padded armors and the Defenders wield shields." Tecna states.

The Earth fairy saw the players were wielding sticks that resembled wooden field hockey sticks. "Honestly it's amazing how similar the cultures between Earth and Magix are." She said as she watched the game begin.

Sky leaned back in his seat "So are we good, you know after the…"

Bloom interrupted him "It's okay, I was a bit freaked out and you wanted to give me space. I'm glad to have you in my life, Brandon."

Hearing her say that name reminded the Prince no matter how close he could get to Bloom, he'd always be hiding something from her.

"Someday, I'll tell her. I just hope she won't be to mad." He thought as he placed his hands over Bloom's.

Okay so I'm late by a few days but Happy 21st anniversary Winx Club. To celebrate I've decided to upload not 1, not 2 but 3 chapters at the same time.

On an unrealted note, I wanted to explain the currency of Magix. So to start the exchange rate, 1 Ore is the same as a penny. Their exist 6 coin denominations and 3 bills. 1 Ore is a Tin Coin, 5 is Copper, 10 is Bronze, 50 is Silver, 100 is Gold and 500 is Platinum. The bills are mentioned in the previous chapters are squire bills being 1000 Ore, prince bills being 5000 and King bills being 10,000.
