Winx 13
It was middle of March as the Winx and Team Saber were walking out of the movie theater.
"Oooh. What a freaky movie! I still have chills!" Stella said as she clung to "Prince Sky's"arm.
"At the very least, it had a happy ending." Tecna states.
Riven smirked "So are we going to talk about the elephant in the room?"
Timmy responded "The special effect makeup could've been better but it didn't take away from my experience."
Riven pointed to Austin as he said "No , I'm talking about when Austin screamed like his head was taken off."
Austin argued "Look it was a pretty freaky scene."
"It was just a deer jumping out of the bushes." Bloom states.
Curious "Sky" asked "Is it because our resident Beast Tamer is scared of deers."
"I doubt it, Austin treats the dragons at the stable like house pets. No way a simple deer would scare him." Timmy said before looking at Austin swearing attempting to avoid eye contact with the group
Disappointment Riven says "Seriously, a guy who faced a Glaseadian Yeti, is scared of deers."
Somewhat anxious, Austin exclaims "They're just creep okay! They lick at anything in front of them and even eat their own horns. Who wouldn't be freaked out!"
The group laughed for a moment until "Brandon" says "Alright enough making fun of Austin, let get you girls back to Alfea."
They head to the parking lot and to the Winx's surprise, she saw they were 5 Wind Riders.
"Wait, what happened to Cliff?" Flora and Bloom somehow asked in unison.
Austin answered as he takes out a pair of helmets"In exchange for some martial arts lessons, Riven's been teaching me how to ride."
Musa grabbed one of the helmets and asked"Mind if I ride with you?"
Masking his disappointment of not being able to give Flora a ride, Austin forced a smile"Sure."
On the ride to Alfea, Austin spoke quiet enough for only Musa to hear "Are you still mad at Riven?"
"I came to him for help and he just threw me to those witches and dating Darcy after everything she done to us is even worse." Musa states as her fingers began digging into Austin's sides.
Austin winched "Easy there, remember he was spelled. Besides he broke up with her after the Trix cursed Mirta and Jackie."
Musa sighed "We're still trying to save them, you can count on it."
"I know, and try to give Riven another shot. Beneath that tough guy facade is a pretty solid friend." Austin said as he took the corner leading to Alfea's gate.
The next morning as Team SABER were eating breakfast at the mess hall, Brandon asked "Did you guys see the text from the girls?"
Riven yawned "Unlike you, we choose to wake up before talking with chicks."
"It's actually serious, it seems the Trix sent a nightmare gargoyle after them." Brandon explained.
This information woke Timmy up as he states "Seriously, those witches don't know when to give up."
"This might sound dumb but how did they find out it was the Trix?" Austin asked.
Brandon checked his phone "Seems that they were able to communicate with Mirta who saw everything."
Riven leaned back to stretch his arms "So what's the plan , oh fearless leader?"
Curious Sky asked "What makes you think I have a plan? I just found the same time as you."
"Come on man, you're not one to ignore someone when they need help." Riven answered.
"But what about me not being there for Bloom, I wasn't acting too heroic then." Sky argued as he held his head down in shame.
Austin smiled "I mean that's why we go here, to become better heroes. Sure you made a mistake, but you know it. So take this chance to right a wrong."
Timmy chuckled at Austin's speech as Riven adds "See how can you deny a speech from the Ghost Owl himself."
Sky raised his head "Alright, we'll get in contact with them at lunch. I'm sure they've already thought of something by now."
Later that night, SABER found themselves in the forest just outside of Alfea's campus.
As Brandon was looking at the school with a pair of binoculars, Timmy asked "Do you see anything yet?"
"No seems the girl's showers emptied out already" Brandon sighed.
Sky flicked at the back of Brandon's neck "You're supposed to be looking at the Winx's window. They said they'll send a signal if they need help."
Brandon nodded as he shifted his attention to the correct direction "I know , just wanted to joke around a bit."
Riven asked "So Austin, any experience dealing with these things?"
The beast tamer shook his head "All I know is what's written in books. They give you nightmares to sap away at your energy and gain a resistance to any magic type they absorbed."
Sky panicked "But that thing has target almost all of them. We should go in now."
"Patience Sky, likely the Trix are watching over their creatures as well. So let's not play our hand until the right moment." Riven states.
Sky took a deep breath and smirked "Usually I'm the one telling you to calm down."
Timmy joked "A broken clock is right twice a day."
Just then Brandon saw the Winx teleport into the courtyard and saw they were exhausted.
"Let's get moving, the Trix might be ready to strike." Brandon shouts.
The boys hopped on their Wind Riders and rushed to Alfea's gates. Once they arrived they saw not only did the Trix appear but every but Bloom has been taken out of the fight. Stella and Flora were encased in a giant ice pillar, Tecna and Musa at their mercy of the Nightmare Gargoyle and Bloom barely fighting back against the Trix.
Sky commanded "Austin you're with me, the rest of you guys deal with that gargoyle."
Austin nodded as he summoned Octavia onto his shoulders as the octopus unleashed a massive torrent of water from its mouth, knocking Darcy out of the air.
Before Stormy could make a counter attack, she was hit in the back of the head by Sky's boomerang.
As the two boys made it to Bloom's side, she weakly said "Took..you long enough."
"Sorry, we couldn't let the Trix know we were on standby." Sky apologized.
"But you know the saying, better late the never." Austin said as he pulled out the Varia-Rod.
Just before a battle between them could begin, a furious Farogonda appears in her pajamas and asked "What is this ruckus all about?"
The Trix panicked as the headmistress saw the Nightmare Gargoyle "I've had it with you three witches! Conjuring a nightmare gargoyle goes far beyond an inter-school prank! Ice breaker!"
While Riven, Brandon and Timmy struggled to keep the creature away from the weaken girls, Fargonda exclaimed "Nocturnus excutus!" as she blasted the creature into oblivion.
Brandon gave a sigh of relief "Guess she's not the headmistress for nothing."
The Trix attempted to fly off but Stormy got yanked into the ground by one of Octavia's tentacles, with Darcy's leg was restrained by Riven's bola.
"Guess two minds think alike." Riven said with a smirk.
Before Icy could take off, Faragonda appeared right in front of her "You have a lot to explain young ladies."
Bloom explained as Sky helped her up "The witches sent that ugly monster thing to weaken our powers, and then they showed up and attacked us!"
As the ice around Flora and Stella broke apart, the latter adds "Sorry we let them knock us around. You're not going to fail us or anything, are you?"
Faragonda composed herself before answering "Don't be silly. A nightmare gargoyle bested an entire senior class when I was a student." She looked at Riven and Austin "Though we didn't have the help of Specialists."
Riven looked to see Timmy having a mini panic attack and could tell he was thinking "How are we going to explain why we got here."
Before Faragonda could ask said question, Austin states "I apologize for ignoring curfew headmistress, but while our squad were watching over a flock of Spiral Sparrows, we heard a commotion and wanted to check if everything was okay."
Though Faragonda could easily tell this was a lie, she played along "Very well, I'll give Saladin my thanks for your help."
She turned to the Trix "As for you three, I've sent a message to Griffin, she will deal with you. But know that if you ever attack my students again, I will personally ensure you face the consequences."
With a wave of her hand the three witches vanished from sight.
As Austin reeled the claw of his weapon back, all he could think of was a mark on Stormy's shoulder blade. Though it was too far away for him to notice each detail along with a good portion covered by her clothes, it appeared to be a circle with some lines on the inside.
