So, what y'all think of Paw Patrol Air Rescue episodes? I like that they had Sweetie be the antagonist in the first special. I'm just not a huge fan of them. And I hate that they villainized the wolves in that one flower designing episode. Wolves are not dangerous as long as you respect them. So please, be considerate about them.

Pre-warning, this chapter contains bullying and discrimination. I mean no disrespect to anyone who was a victim of either at some point in their lives. I only wish to show how wrong they are.

Scene 19: Humdinger announces fifth event

Humdinger: "And now we move on to the Teamwork part of the event. For this one, each of you pups needs to pair up with another pup. The two of you will work together to get through the obstacle course through town. Whichever team comes back first will score the most points. Now, choose your partner!"

Jessie goes over to Sweetie, Arby, Claw and Olivia.

Jessie: "Hey. Any of y'all want to partner up with me?"

Sweetie sticks her nose up. "As if a royal pup such as I would dare be seen with a Pit Bull!"

Arby: "I'm with Sweetie. A pup like you can't be trusted."

Claw: "Royal knights do not associate themselves with dangerous pups either."

Claw looks over at Moby. "Besides, I'd much rather team up with a Merpup than the likes of someone like you."

Winnie Winnington picks up Olivia. "And I'm not going to risk my Olivia's safety."

After they all walk away, Jessie dips her head with a sad look.

Terra rushes up to her. "Don't let those bullies get you down. I'd love to be your partner."

Jessie: "That'd be mighty kind, Terra."

Scene 20: Pups are lined up at start line

Jessie and Terra are a team. Sweetie and Arby are team. Claw and Moby are team. Hubcab and Gasset are team. Dwyane and Olivia are team.

Mayor Goodway is the referee. "On your barks. Get set."

Moby winks at McSquidly.

Chickaletta waves a flag.

Mayor Goodway: "Go!"

McSquidly uses his tentacles to trip the pups except for Moby and Claw. Moby and Claw take the lead. Hubcab and Gasset are right behind them. Dwyane and Olivia are behind them. Sweetie and Arby are behind them. Jessie and Terra are last.

Claw tries to use his pinchers to grab a pole. But they malfunction and cause him and Moby to get tangled. All pups pass them.

Hubcab and Gasset are in lead. Hubcab has them take a shortcut that takes them the wrong way.

Dwyane and Olivia are in lead. But Sweetie has Buzzbee zoom into them, which causes them to crash. Jessie and Terra see this happen.

Jessie: "Hey now. Those two pups are cheatin'."

Terra growls. "If there's one thing I can't stand as much as bullies, it's cheaters!"

Sweetie and Arby are in the lead with Jessie and Terra right behind them. Claw and Moby follow. The six pups go into a dark building. Suddenly, loud barking comes from inside there. Everyone gasps, freighted.

Jessie and Terra come out of the building and cross the finish line first. Sweetie and Arby come second. Claw and Moby came third. Dwyane and Olivia come fourth. And Hubcab and Gasset finally arrive last.

Hubcab: "Awe man! Told you that shortcut wouldn't work."

Gasset grunts.

Terra: "Nice running, Jessie! We won."

Jessie: "Y'all were great, Terra. I'm mighty glad to have a partner like ya."

Rocky goes to the other competitors. "Hey, who made those loud barks in the building?"

Eddie: "They sounded a lot like what me and Emmy heard at the café."

Winnie: "And what scared poor Olivia."

Dwyane: "And what me, Hubcab and Gasset heard at the beach."

Sweetie: "Well, whoever made those barks surprised me and Arby so much that we slipped up."

Claw: "Same with me and Moby. Only we… Um… Sort of bumped into each other."

Chase: "Really? Did you see who did it?"

Arby: "I heard them from behind Sweetie and me."

Moby: "And I heard it coming from in front of Claw and I. But I couldn't tell since the lights were off."

Chase squints his eyes. "So the barking pup had to be behind Sweetie and Arby, but in front of Claw and Moby."

Sweetie looks at Jessie.

Sweetie: "And I for one know just who it was. Jessie!"

Jessie looks at her.

Jessie: "What was that?"

Sweetie walks over to her. "Don't pretend. I know it was you who barked at us in that building. You wanted to scare us so Arby and I couldn't win."

Jessie: "Don't know whatcha talkin' about, Sweetin'. It weren't me who barked at ya or Arbin'."

Sweetie: "That's Sweetie to you!"

Arby: "And Arby. And we know it was you."

Claw: "No other pup is big enough to bark as loud as that."

Moby: "And Pit Bulls are known to be mean."

Terra growls as she confronts them.

Terra: "You all are the ones being mean! Now, back off you bullies or I'll…"

Ryder: "Enough! No more arguing or accusations. Since no one saw who made those barking sounds, there's no reason to accuse anyone of doing it."

Danny: "But Ryder, Jessie was the only other pup in the building."

Rocky: "And Pit Bulls are very scary."

Jessie whines.

Terra confronts Danny and Rocky with a growl.

Terra: "Hey, don't forget what other pup was in there. And I don't think for a second that it was Jessie. She was with me the whole time. I didn't hear any barking from her while we were in that building."

Rocky: "But, she's the only pup who could make a loud bark like that."

Terra: "Of course a mutt would say that!"

Marshall: "A mutt?"

Terra: "It's what he is. A pup that's more than one breed. That's why he doesn't understand just about anything. Mutts don't know a thing, even if it hits them on the head!"

Rocky: "Hey, that's not very nice. You shouldn't judge me just because I'm a mixed breed."

Terra: "Just like how you think Jessie's mean because she's a Pit Bull?"

Rocky: "That's different. I don't know Jessie. So she could be…"

Jessie whines louder.

Jessie: "I already know." She takes off her hat. "Rockin', everyone, I don't wish to cause y'all anymore trouble. As soon as these tryouts are over, I'll leave. Y'all won't have to see me ever again." She leaves.

Skye: "Jessie, wait!"

Rubble: "Gee, Rocky. That wasn't very nice of you to say to Jessie."

Rocky: "But it's true. I don't know Jessie. What if she is like other Pit Bulls? Mean, scary and dangerous."

Chase: "Because you haven't given her the chance to get to know her."

Zuma: "Yeah, you keep ignoring and avoiding her."

Ryder: "They're right. You should at least get to know someone better instead of jumping to conclusions about them."

Rocky: "But she's also the only pup who's big and strong enough to bark make a loud, scary bark."

Terra: "Loud, scary barks?"

Marshall: "Some pup's been going around barking and scaring a lot of people and pups. They've wrecked Winnie Winnington's van and the Ruff Ruff Pack's motorcycles, scared Emmy up a tree, and now they've spooked Sweetie, Arby, Claw and Moby during the teamwork race. Whoever it is, they sure are causing a lot of trouble."

Terra tenses.

Terra: "Oh, um…"

Sweetie: "Oh please. It has to be Jessie. She's the only pup big enough to do a loud bark like that."

Terra: "Everyone is blaming Jessie?"

Rubble: "Don't be mean, Sweetie. Just because she's a Pit Bull, doesn't mean that she's the bad pup scaring everyone."

Terra: "Bad pup? Scaring everyone?"

Moby: "But who else can bark loud enough to make everyone so scared?"

Terra: "Um, about that…"

Mayor Humdinger: "Attention all. The final event that will decide who will be the newest members of the Claw Control is about to begin. All pups to Town Hall!"

Everyone rushes to Town Hall. Terra slowly walks behind.

Terra: "A pup with a loud bark scaring everyone? Oh no."

Once again, I mean no disrespect to anyone who was a victim of bullying or discrimination or both at some point of their lives. If anyone was hurt by what played out here, I apologize.

Any thoughts as to what the final event will be? It will be very unexpected with a twist to go with it, I'll tell you that much ;)

P.S. Why is it that companion animals have more protection laws than others? How is it that a man can get away with tormenting a wolf pup while another man can face years in jail for killing a stray dog? I'm not saying that guy got what he deserved for murdering that poor dog. But I really wish that justice could be served for that innocent wolf pup. Wildlife has rights too. Just because humans domesticated them doesn't make them any more important than the many other creatures we share our planet with. That's also true about a lot of species. We mustn't choose which animals to help more than others. All creatures deserve our protection. Even the ones that are not endangered or ones we don't know much about. George Orwell's famous Animal Farm quote "All animals are equal. But some are more equal than others." But I know that's not true at all. A dog is no more important than a wolf. A Panda is no more important than a sun bear. A dolphin is no more important than a shark. A horse is no more important than a cow. An elephant is no more important than an okapi. A rabbit is no more important than a pangolin. So why do we protect some animals more than others? Every life matters. That goes for every living creature. No matter whether they are ones we domesticated, live wild, endangered, least concerned, predator, prey, cute, or ugly. They all deserve our appreciation and respect. And we have a moral responsibility to protect all of them.
