Just a note, there are direct word quotes from the episode. A big thanks to the Leverage, Seriously, website, who had posted the pretty accurate transcripts from the entire original series. You can find it at leverage.

The legalities. I do not own any of the Leverage franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Prompt: "You have no power over me."

"You sure about that?"

"Wait, what did she mean when she said that her lawyer said that she was with us?"

"Your guess is as good as ours, Pru." The manager rolled her eyes as the mastermind opened the door to his apartment, paused slightly, then kept walking. Pru's brow furrowed at the pause until a voice filtered past the rest of the team.

"Took you long enough."

Eliot spoke up now. "Who are you?"

By now, Pru had moved around to the side to see the supposed lawyer sitting like a model on a chair in the middle of the floor. "Tara Cole. I'm a friend of Sophie's. She said you guys were shorthanded."

Pru rolled her eyes and walked over to the desk away from the group. Trust Sophie to send someone in to try to help the team. The manager decided that she'd let the team get their objections aired while Tara was still here. Then she was going to have a talk with Nate about all this.

A few minutes later, she heard Tara speak up again. "There. See? We're getting paid already. It's gonna be fun."

Pru looked up to see Tara sashay out the door while the rest of the team was looking at the mastermind as if he'd committed some major crime. Sighing, she stood and cleared her throat. "Alright, nothing more to see here, guys. Alec, Eliot, Parker, could you three please go through the stack of potential clients over by the monitors? Nate and I need to have a conversation."

As the hacker, hitter, and thief all nodded and walked over towards the monitors, the mastermind glared at the manager who raised her eyebrow at him. "You have no power over me."

Pru rolled her eyes as she walked over to the mastermind, grabbed his arm, and pulled him towards the desk. "You sure about that?"

As she let him go and turned to face him completely, he narrowed his eyes at her. "You know, I think that I liked you more when I was drunk."

Pru scoffed as she crossed her arms. "No, you didn't."

"Whatever. Come on, then. Let's talk."
