"Fuuuuuu…" Tommy bit off the word as Kim doused the gash on his arm and he looked up at the ceiling. He had expected that she would be mad at him, but she had said nothing. She had just started tending to his wounds after she sent the rangers away. Whatever she was feeling, she didn't want witnesses to this and that made him nervous. It would either be amazing or absolutely horrible. "Babe?"

"I get it, Tommy. And I think you may have just convinced Hannah that you're worth trusting. I just don't like seeing you like this. I don't like that you had to go in." He watched her face and saw the reluctant acceptance there. So that was what this was. She was not happy with what he had done, but she was not going to yell at him about it. Enough of what had been going on must have gotten through to her in the middle of her prophecies to know that he had had no other choice if the rangers were going to make it through this safely. "Plus- there's this."

Tommy took the papers she placed in front of him and he shuffled through them. She was seeing some very specific things, things that he didn't like to see- but it all had to do with the current team. It didn't have to do with Kiros, which was a relief. He wasn't sure that he could deal with that right now. He wanted her to have a chance to really recover from what had happened in Thomas' world and a couple months did not feel like enough recovery. Not by a long shot.

"You think we should wait on what we had planned…" Tommy trailed off as Kim checked over the rest of his body for injuries and he waited. She needed to make sure that it was only his arm that got hit, even if he could tell her that. Although the reality was, there had been more than one occasion that they'd found another injury that just wasn't as painful as the first when they did this exam. "Beautiful- that's the only thing. I'm fine."

"Let me finish," Kim insisted as she motioned for him to spin around and he saw Julia standing in the doorway, bouncing Luca, trying to get him to go back to sleep. "Oh who do I hear?"

"I've tried all the stuff and he…" Kim scooped him up, but he continued to be fussy with her. She tossed Tommy a baby carrier and he put it on before nestling Luca against him. Luca immediately quieted and they both gave him a look. "That's it?"

"Normally no, but I'm not questioning it too much right now. I will take any win that we can get with this little guy. C'mon- we found out a lot over the weekend and we need to back brief all of you," Tommy said as he walked past Julia and Julia smirked at Kim. None of them would ever tease Tommy to his face, but it always caught them off guard when he was in full dad mode.

"Just wait until Axe starts doing the same thing," Kim whispered as Julia stilled. She had not thought much about what Axel might act like as a father. They had all been too concerned with keeping everything level until Kimberly and Tommy got back. "I'd bet money he'll be the same. He'll love your babies just as much as he loves you and there will be nothing sexier than him loving and taking care of them."

Tommy pulled up the books he had scanned in over the weekend and then posted the highlighted sections to the screen in their main conference room. He waited as the rangers took their time reading it and Kim sat down next to him. She had read over it as he made notes over the weekend, but it still bothered her. How many of their friends had been soulmates and they had never realized it? Everything indicated that the first couple of teams would have far more soulmates than the teams after that, but it was still hard to believe that they had missed it.

"So what about those of us who…aren't…don't always…" Patrick trailed off as Tommy and Kim looked at him, waiting patiently for him to explain whatever was concerning him. "I have a boyfriend."

"Oh, well…in that case- I don't know. We'll have to see what happens and maybe we'll get some clarification on it," Tommy said as he switched his gaze to Brandon and Cameron, trying to read how they were taking this. "It probably does apply to all of you though."

"So Shelby wasn't it?" Cameron asked as Tommy grimaced. He had known that was coming, but he hadn't pressed the Command Center to find an answer. He didn't think it was his place to push back on what this might mean for them and no answer would give Cameron comfort. If she had been it for him, it would break him. if she was not it for him, he had to think about well and truly moving on and that might be too much. "Tommy."

"I don't know, Cam. I wish I had a better answer for you than that, but it looks like…it's likely that you have someone else," Tommy said as Cam let out a string of curses and the other rangers just stared at the table. It hurt all of them to hear that, but Cameron was taking it personally. He had wanted it to be her and for him to be done. He wanted to wallow in the pain of losing her for the rest of his life. "We can have a chat with the Command Center, just to make sure."

"You can do what?" Hannah shrieked as Tommy grimaced and Kim patted his arm. There were so many things that Hannah was going to have to be brought up to speed on and it was going to get old if she had this reaction every time. "Are there any normal rules about my life now?"

"Not really," Tommy said as Hannah stared at him and he gave Kim a desperate look. He wasn't one to mince words on what it was like to be a Power Ranger and how much that fundamentally changed your life. Kim was far better at delivering this news in a way that was not terrifying, but she was exhausted after the last few months.

"Hannah, there are plenty of things that will be normal, but how you get to it might not be so conventional. We still got married and have children, but we also get pulled halfway across the world on a whim. It's a lot and I would actually be more concerned if you weren't freaking out a little bit," Kim said as Hannah found Brandon's hand and gripped it tightly. "The soulmate thing though…we didn't expect to see something like this and neither of us want any of you to feel like you have to wait or ignore or not date civilians…"

"But you also don't want a repeat of us," Julia supplied as Kim and Tommy both nodded. Hannah locked eyes with her and she let out a sigh. Everyone else had witnessed the train wreck that them fighting their connection had been. "We…I fought it hard. To the point that when I got injured, I couldn't move away from him for hours because my body just couldn't heal. It wasn't…it wasn't good and it could have gotten worse if I hadn't come to my senses."

"This sounds like something that is straight out of a trashy sci-fi romance novel," Hannah said as Kimberly and Julia both nodded while Tommy and Axel stared at them in shock. When had either of them picked up a romance novel recently? "But this is real life?"

"Yeah- it's our real life," Tommy responded as he continued to stare at Kimberly and she gave him a confused look. "Trashy romance novels?"

"12 years and multiple not so great boyfriends…yeah, I read some trashy romance novels from time to time while we were avoiding each other," Kim said, shamelessly, as they all watched Tommy try to compute that information and she continued smiling at him. "You 100% benefit from me reading those novels."

"Dear goodness," Tommy whispered as his face flamed bright red and he buried his face in his hands. "Back to the soulmate stuff and I guess any other ranger stuff. What questions do you have Hannah?"

"I…how…" Hannah trailed off as she looked between Brandon and Tommy. Her mind was racing as she tried to find the words for what she even wanted to ask. "Do I have to ask questions?"

"Not right now," Kim said as she looked over at her and she offered her a smile. "But we mean it when we say we're here when you have questions. We don't know everything, but we've got more experience than anyone else you're going to meet." \

AN: From this chapter until roughly chapter 58- the story is going to progressive as a 'highlight reel' between the primary conflicts- which are approximately 4 to 5 years apart. There is still a lot of texture in the rangers lives that I wanted to cover instead of just doing a fast-forward between conflicts. A lot of this will wrap into some of the spin-offs that will be coming from this world, as well as, the final story in this series.
