I've got a lot of new songs for possible music score ideas for Remnant Unleashed, thank you my brother Earth Dragon Archnighte. But I still don't like him for his stance on Star Wars being stupid and other things he said about the best Space Opera Series of all time.
On that note, the final season of the Bad Batch is scheduled for release on February 21st, with a three-episode premiere and I cannot believe what I saw in the trailer! Did you guys see who was in the trailer? Who we all thought was dead after the events of the Dark Disciple!? How awesome is that! I do hope they reveal that Tech is alive, because I have a strange feeling that Hemlock lied about Tech's death. Sorry for the spoilers to all of you who haven't seen the series. I will say this, I hope Clone Force 99 doesn't hold back on lethal force against those TK-troopers. I want to see some dead Stormtroopers!
Alright, Star Wars aside, I have got some special plans for the Sports Festival Arc of MHA. Some of you might approve, some of you might disapprove, but let's not forget that it's my story so if any of you are asking me to bring in Mineta or have our heroes take part in the games, that won't happen.
Well, let's answer the reviews.
Monster King: Thanks.
Aztec13: I'm still debating on whether both Shoto's older brother and sister should be rangers, well maybe his older brother but I'm unsure at Fuyumi at the moment but I do plan on bringing in two more full teams of rangers, with a few other rangers of different teams helping out, but they are descendants of past rangers. Glad you liked the Mega Winger and Mega Voyagers new weapons, I've been thinking about giving them a beam saber ever since I first heard about Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Freedom, which I am hoping gets an English dub. And yes, Endeavour is going to be a problem for the rangers, but it's possible he might change his tune.
DCDGojira: If you've read the latest chapter of Transformers: MHA, Arc 2: Earthrise, then you've been hit with a deal of nostalgia, same goes for all of us Unicorn Trilogy fans. As for the lizard, I never really got attached to the scaley guy, but he was funny when he tried to go for my fingers when I put them to the glass, thinking they were meal worms and all that. I'll need to watch Might Gaine if I plan on using the mecha's for Megazord ideas. The Rescue Warrior is still on the table, so that one is coming.
SunPhoenix90: Isn't it obvious? It's Lightspeed! Rescue. But there are others I like.
Blue Marvel: Thanks for those words. I'm not the best writer in the world, but I do my best.
Alright, onto the intro.

(All Five Rangers flip open their morphers and morph, ready for battle, then repel down, landing on the ground as they rush forward and leap through a wall of fire.)

Chapter 12: New Challenges
Monday finally came again as the students of Class 1-A talked about with one another, waiting for the school day to begin. "Hey, did you guys watch the news Saturday night?" Toru asked Shoji and Ojiro, to which Ojiro responded that he did see the Saturday night news. "Did you see how everyone in class was on-screen for a second? Though I probably didn't stand out at all…" she said with a pout.
"That's true." Shoji answered, while Ojiro tried to comfort Toru's feelings.
"But man, you guys have to admit, all the channels made a big deal out of it. I was surprised. We're totally big deals. Those new channels love us." Denki said with pride.
"Yeah, it's kind of crazy." Kirishima added.
"Get over yourselves. The hero course that pumps out pros was attacked by both villains and monsters, that's what they care about." Jiro pointed out.
"Who knows what would've happened to us if the teachers hadn't shown up." Sero added.
"WILL YOU ALL CLAM UP!" Bakugo shouted, getting a headache from all the talking, only to get a smack on the head from Laura who was trying to enjoy her book. "Stupid silent girl." Bakugo grumbled.
"Did you guys see All Might and the rangers fighting that bird guy! That dude was super strong, and they still defeated him, even after he grew!" Sato exclaimed, mimicking a few punches while Tokoyami agreed about All Might's strength.
"You know what else the news reported! Seven new Power Rangers!" Mina exclaimed, then turned to Connor who was scrolling through the pictures on his phone. "You've got new allies which means more awesome team attacks! That's so cool! You got to introduce me to them!"
"Huh?" Connor said, finally taking his gaze from his phone to see the pink skinned girl in front of him. "Oh, right. Yeah, maybe I'll introduce you to them if I get the chance." But his mind was elsewhere.
As the clock struck 8:25, Iida came running into the classroom. "Attention! Homeroom class is about to begin! Everyone stop talking and take your seats!" he shouted, only to be reminded that he was the only still standing.
"Don't sweat it." Ochako assured the engine quirk user.
"So, Tsu…" Mina began, almost falling back until the frog quirk girl caught her seat. "Who do you think's going to be teaching class?"
"No idea. Mr. Aizawa is still recovering from his injuries…" Tsu began before the door to the classroom slid open and stepping in, practically wrapped like a mummy was Aizawa himself.
"Morning class." The teacher muffled out.
"MR. AIZAWA!" the entire class erupted at once.
"Wow. Talk about a pro. Coming into teach like that." Denki said, not believing his eyes.
"Mr. Aizawa! I'm glad to see that you're ok." Iida said with an arm raised.
"You call that Ok?" Ochako asked with concern.
"My wellbeing is irrelevant. What's more important is that your fight isn't over yet." The mummified teacher began, a wave of concern washing over the students as they looked at their homeroom teacher before Aizawa dropped the biggest bombshell of their lives. "The UA Sports Festival is about to start."
"THE SPORTS FESTIVAL!" The entire class shouted in uproar with Kirishima being one of the most excited of the 1-A students.
"Let's go kick some ass!" he exclaimed, before Denki interrupted him and pushed his friend back to his seat.
"Wait a minute. Are you sure this is a good idea, Mr. Aizawa?" Denki asked.
"Yeah, I got to agree with Battery Boy here." Kyoka added, causing Denki to falter. "Are you sure it's a good idea to hold the festival after a villain attack? They could attack us when we're all gathered in the same place. And let's not forget about those monsters."
"I raised those concerns at the latest faculty meeting." Aizawa began. "But the administration thinks that this is a good way to show that the threat has been handled and our school is safer than ever. We'll be beefing up security compared to the following years, with the help of the Silver Guardians. This is an event important to all of you students. It isn't exactly the kind of event you can postpone because of a few villains and monsters. The sports festival is the most watched event in the entire world, that honor once belonging to the Olympic games, until the emergence of quirks which has drastically reduced the size and viewership. For those who care about competition, there's only one tournament that matters… and that's the sports festival."
"He's right. Top heroes from around the world will be watching. This is where you get scouted." Momo added.
"Yeah, she's right! After graduating, a lot of students end up joining pro agencies that scout them as sidekicks." Denki remembered with a snap of his fingers.
"Yeah, but that's as far as some people go. They end up missing their chance to go indie and become eternal sidekicks." Kyoka pointed out, then turned to Denki. "Actually, now that I think about it, that's probably where you're headed, Kaminari, your kind of dumb." She added, causing the electric quirk user to falter again.
"It is true that joining a famous agency can grant you greater popularity and experience." Aizawa went on. "That's why the festival matters, especially if you want to go pro. One chance a year, three chances in a lifetime, it isn't something any aspiring hero can afford to miss. So don't slack off on your training or else you'll be left behind."
"Uh, excuse me? Mr. Aizawa. Aren't you forgetting about a couple of students?" Connor asked from his seat.
"No, I haven't forgotten. Due to their lack of Quirks, Connor, Melissa, TJ, Anthony, and Lena will not be competing in the Sports Festival." Aizawa answered.
"WHAT!? BUT THEY'RE STUDENTS AT UA!" the class said in an uproar.
"That's so unfair!" Ochako complained.
"Yeah! I mean, they're UA students!" Mina added.
"They should be allowed to compete!" Kirishima protested.
"Guys, it's ok." Connor assured, getting all eyes focused on him. "Me and the other rangers, we didn't come here to become pro heroes. We came here to protect future heroes from the monsters who would desire your quirks. Think about it, if someone scouted us because of our skills in the sports festival and we revealed that we had no quirks, they'd feel like they wasted their time scouting us. Plus, our powers aren't to be used for personal gain, but for the protection of others. If anything, I'm glad I'm not competing."
"It still kind of seems unfair." Sato argued.
"It might be unfair, but I'm ok with it." Connor said again. "Besides, I think it's for the best and it'll give us a chance to talk to one of the Silver Guardians about something important. That and I think someone could use a bit of help preparing for the festival." He added, eying Izuku.
"Good. You've got until the end of the month to prepare, so make sure you train hard and don't slack off on your studies." Aizawa finished, just as the bell rang signaling the end of homeroom.
The rest of the day went about as any other normal high school day, and by lunchtime the excitement about the Sports Festival was still in the air. "Even if the villain attacked really sucked, I am so looking forward to these games." Kirishima said, pumped with excitement.
"If we put on a good show and stand out, we'll have taken the first step to becoming a pro! This was worth coming to UA!" Sato added, equally pumped for the games.
"This is a rare opportunity for us. We only get so few chances. We have to make the best of it." Tokoyami concurred.
"Oh, I really need a way to stand out at the sports festival!" Toru confided to Ojiro, who suggested that Toru look for a fancier costume.
"Why stand out?" Connor said, getting Toru's attention. "Sure, you people might be able to see your entire body, but I think the best thing is to go out there and just do your best."
"Yeah, you're right. Thanks Connor." Toru said.
"Not a problem. But it is kind of amazing that everyone's so pumped for the sports festival. True, I like a good competition as much as anyone else, but it kind of feels like everyone's got a fire lit under their asses. Pardon my French." The red ranger admitted.
"Of course we are! We all enrolled in this school with the aim of becoming pro heroes. So it's only natural that we should be excited." Iida explained. "After all, I'm sure that former students of UA felt the same way we're all feeling now."
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure Uncle Might felt the same way during his days at UA." Melissa said when she stepped into the classroom, dressed in the UA high female uniform. "Though, I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply to everyone in Class 1-A." she added, glancing to Izuku who was muttering like crazy.
"Here we go again." Connor sighed and walked up to Izuku, giving the muttering green haired boy a two fingered slap to the head.
"Ow!" Izuku exclaimed.
"What has friend told you about muttering? It is bad habit. Do you want to have bad habit for rest of life? No? Then you break bad habit!" Connor said, talking like an old man.
"I really got to break that habit." Izuku murmured, rubbing the spot where his friend hit him.
"Now that I've got your attention." Connor began. "What's say you and me train for the festival? I might not be competing, but that doesn't mean I can't help you with training. Besides, until you got a handle on your quirk, it's good to have a back up plan for the games."
"Y-yeah, you're right, Connor. But did you have to hit me so hard?" Izuku pouted.
"That was a love tap at the most." Connor said in his defense, turning for the door before he saw Jiro's gaze at him. "Problem?"
"Dude, are you talking like Uncle? From Jackie Chan Adventures?" Jiro asked.
"You know about it?!" Connor answered with surprise.
"Dude, my dad loves that show. He always laughs when it comes to Uncle." Jiro answered with a laugh. "It's just as funny when Kaminari scrambles his brains."
"Iida, Deku, Jiro, Melissa, Connor…" Uraraka said, catching their attention which caused them all to notice she had an intense and manic looking grin on her face. "Let's do our best at the sports festival."
"Ochako, what happened to your face?" Melissa asked.
"Someone's got a bit too much excitement." Connor mused.
"Everyone! I'm gonna do my best!" the gravity quirk user exclaimed. "I said I'm gonna do my best!"
The other rangers also noticed how intense Uraraka was when they saw her in the hallway. "Wow, she's really pumped about this." Lena pointed out.
"Oh, that reminds me." Izuku said before he asked Uraraka about her reasons she wanted to be a hero.
"Well, um… because…" Ochako said with a rub to the back of her head.
"For money? You want to become a hero for money?" Izuku asked skeptically.
"Well, when you put it like that. Yeah, that's the reason. Sorry it's such an unwholesome reason. You two have better admiral motivations to becoming heroes, it's kind of embarrassing." Uraraka admitted.
"Not at all. Your goal is to support your wellbeing, which is perfectly admirable for your livelihood." Iida said.
"Well, it's a lot more than that." Ochako admitted. "My family owns a construction company, but we haven't gotten any work lately, so we're kind of dirt poor. It's not really something that I tell a lot of people."
"Construction… Oh, I get it now. With her quirk, if she get's licensed, then it'd bring equipment costs way down, right?" Izuku realized.
"I know, right! I've telling my dad that for years. But he and my mom always put me first before everything else, it's been so frustrating." She replied, thinking back to a memory of when she was young. After a few moments, a look of determination appeared on her face. "I'm going to become a pro. I'll sign on with a good agency, I'll help lots of people, then I can help my parents have an easy life."
A few moments of silence passed before Iida broke the silence with an over-the-top applause. "So noble! Bravo! Bravo! Bravissimo! Brav…"
"Ok, we get the picture Iida." Anthony chimed in, getting the spectacled teen to simmer down. "Well, he is right about your goal being a noble one. I think you'll do great."
"And you've got us supporting you from the side lines 'Chako. If you ever think you're alone, just remember we're right there with you." TJ added.
"Thanks guys." Ochako said, nearly on the verge of tears before she spotted someone. "Hey, I don't recognize him. I don't think he's a student here."
"Who are you…" Connor began, turning around and saw Jason walking through the halls of UA with a pass around his neck. "Jason!" he called out, waving to his friend.
"Hey guys, what's up?" he answered, walking towards the students and his fellow rangers.
"I'm sorry, but who are you and why are you here?" Iida demanded.
"Don't worry, I'm not a threat. I'm Jason David Oliver and I'm also a Power Ranger. I was invited by your principle for a visit, so here I am." Jason assured, gesturing to his visitors pass.
"Wait, Oliver?" Ochako questioned, before it finally hit her. "Wait! You mean as in Tommy Oliver? The first Green Ranger and then the White Ranger?" she exclaimed.
"Yeah, that's my ancestor." Jason said proudly.
"AHAHAHAHA! YOUNG MIDORIYA IS HERE!" All Might announced from nearby.
"All Might? What are you doing here?" Izuku asked.
"Lunch!" All Might answered, holding up a cutely wrapped lunch box. "You wanna eat with me?"
Izuku, shocked for the lack of words, looked to Iida who gave him a nod, then smiled as he joined his idol for lunch. "I'll see you guys later." Izuku said, joining All Might for lunch while the others headed for the cafeteria, except for Connor who stayed with Jason for a bit.
"So, how did it go with Nezu?" he asked.
"I've got to say, he was very impressed to see that someone's been using the Master Morpher." Jason said with a smile. "Get this, he asked if I wanted to attend UA like the rest of you guys, but I declined his offer. Don't get me wrong, but I think I'd be better taking online classes from my apartment and helping the doctor repair the Turbo and Rescue Zords."
"Turning down an offer to attend UA? Wow, déjà vu." Connor chuckled. "Reminds me of when I was contemplating my own offer to UA."
"Why would you contemplate your own offer?" Jason asked.
"Well, it's a long story." Connor answered and told Jason about his past, his parents, their death, his hatred for Pro Heroes and Quirks, how All Might saved him during the Grand Continental Train Wreck and how he was inspired by All Might to become a hero, despite his lack of a quirk. "Well, that's it."
"Damn. That's rough, but at least All Might was able to renew your faith in heroes. Still, about your friend, why is All Might taking an interest in him?"
"Yeah, about that. You see it's…" Connor started before they were interrupted by the arrival of Nejire and another of her classmates. He was a tall young man with beady blue eyes and blonde hair, dressed in the male UA Student's uniform, albeit without the blazer and with a belt that looked like sort of golden carnivorous mouth, with the sleeves rolled up, showing several scars around his lower arms. "Oh, hey, Hado. Who's your friend?" Connor said, changing the subject before anyone could hear about All Might and Izuku's connection.
"Heya, I'm Mirio Togata. Third year of UA high and intern at the Nighteye Agency. Nice to meet ya, Nejire's told me a lot about you." Mirio answered proudly, holding his hand out to Connor, who gladly excepted his hand. "So, I bet your favorite color is red, am I right? Considering you're the Red Ranger."
"Well, not exactly. I mean, to me, Red means courage in my eyes and it is the color of one of my favorite childhood heroes, but it isn't my favorite color when it comes to villains." Connor chuckled. "Wait, you said Nighteye? As in All Might's former side kick?" he asked.
"Yeppers! He also asked me to tell you that he'd like to meet with you sometime. Said he wanted to meet the Red Ranger personally." Mirio answered.
(Que Bulk and Skull's theme)
Just then, Bulk and Skull walked up looking at Jason. "Hey, buddy!" Bulk called out, a school bag over his shoulders. "You look familiar. Have we met before?" he asked.
"I don't think we've met before." Jason answered.
"No, I think I've seen you somewhere before." Bulk continued, digging into bag, throwing food, school books and papers out. "Where is it? I know I put it in here somewhere!"
"Let me help you with that!" Skull exclaimed, helping his friend look through the bag, also tossing things out of the bag, which others were dodging, just as Midnight arrived.
"What's going on in…" she started to say before she was hit in the face with a pie that knocked her off her feet. "Gah!"
"Oh boy." Connor murmured, hitting his face with his hand as the duo continued to dig through the bag until at last, Bulk found what he was looking for.
"Ah ha! Found it!" Bulk exclaimed and pulled out a very old high school year book that seemed to be in perfect condition. "Great, great, great grandad's high school year book!" opening the book, he showed everyone a picture of his and Skull's great, great, great granddads photo with the original Power Rangers. "Behold!"
Jason looked at the picture, then looked to Bulk and Skull who looked just like their ancestors. "Now I see why you guys thought I was familiar. My own parents have my ancestors high school year book with the same photo. Small world." He said with a smile.
"We know, right?" Skull answered, chuckling like his friend before two pairs of hands grabbed them by the shoulder. "Huh?"
"Care to explain why I was hit in the face with a pie?" Midnight asked in a stern voice, annoyed as her face was covered in said pie.
"Uh-oh." The duo said.
(End theme)
Teachers Lounge
"Only fifty minutes?" Izuku asked Toshinori as he sat across from his teacher.
"More like about two hours. I over did it a too many times and that's the limit I have now." All Might answered, holding his side. "That Nomu was a tough opponent. And it hurt, but thanks to the rangers, I wasn't that hurt that badly. So, in a way I ow your friend a lot."
"I'm sorry. I didn't…" Izuku began to apologize, but All Might wave him off.
"You don't have anything to apologize for." Toshinori answered. "Wow, we are really alike, you and me. Have some tea." Izuku accepted the tea that Toshinori made as the skeletal man continued to speak. "More importantly, about the sports festival. You still can't control One For All, can you?"
"Well, I… no I can't. I mean, I almost did when Connor and I were attacked by Putties, but I wasn't able to use it. I'm still no good." Izuku admitted.
"Wait, you were attacked by Putties?" Toshi asked in shock.
"Yeah, it was the day after the USJ attack. Connor and I did fend them off when they attacked us the beach, but I was using the martial arts he taught me when he was staying with me and my mom. So, I didn't really use my quirk."
"That's perfect! Not the attack, but the fact that you were able to hold off those clay brains with your fists and feet." Toshi exclaimed. "You're lucky to have a friend like Connor, and though he isn't competing in the festival, he can still help you. Remember, I gave you my quirk because I deemed you worthy of being my successor, but that doesn't mean you have to do it alone."
"Yeah, I know that. It's just… well. I feel like I might be putting him in danger because of it." Izuku admitted. "Even if his training helped me control my quirk, I don't think…"
"Young Midoriya, having Connor help you train for the sports festival will help you get better at handling All For One. That's progress, now you better drink your tea before it gets cold." Toshinori said, proud of his student. "Sadly, I don't have much time left as the Symbol of Peace and those evil intents are starting to realize it. I granted you my power because I want you to succeed me."
"I want to be like you." Izuku said with confidence. "I want to become the greatest hero, like you! Saving people with a fearless smile."
"You still feel the same way as you did back then, don't you?" Toshi asked, just as Connor entered the office. "Ah, young Grayson. I didn't know you were here."
"I was just curious about what's been going on between you two, that's all." Connor answered. "Actually, I might have some good news for you, All Might."
"Oh, you have news?" Toshi asked.
"Yeah, actually it has to do with your current predicament." Connor said, walking to the duo on the couch. "Dad's been working on specially made Battle Booster that should help amplify your power. It's a one-of-a-kind item that will only work for you. It's based on another piece that he was working on in the past, but on a smaller scale and works only for one with your DNA."
"That's wonderful news." All Might exclaimed with a smile, then turned back to Izuku. "But as for you, young Midoriya. The time has come for you to show how much you want to be a hero. The UA Sports Festival is something that the pro's…. No, the whole country is watching. That's what I wanted to talk to you about! The next All Might, the fledgling Symbol of Peace, Izuku Midoriya. I want you to tell the world 'I am here!'"
Izuku was at a loss for words, but when he turned to face Connor, his friend had a smile on his face and a hand on his shoulder. With people like these helping him, he would be one step closer to his goal. But unknown to any of them knew, the planets were falling into a rare alignment, and it meant that the battles to come were about to become more difficult.
And the chapter is done.
First, let me explain a few things. The reason I'm not having the rangers partake in the Sports Festival is seeing as they don't have any special powers, aka quirks, it wouldn't seem right that the rangers partake in the festival. As Connor said, they came to UA to complete their mission of protecting those with Quirks that the enemy would find useful in their quest for conquest. Also, the idea of taking part in the Sports Festival with the hopes of getting scouted goes against the rule of using their powers for personal gain.
But instead, Connor has decided to assist Izuku with his training for the festival. I'm thinking about having Izuku learn Full Cowling before the internships begin, maybe even have him win the Sports Festival instead of Bakugo.
However, I'm afraid I have some bad news for everyone, Carl Weathers, the man who played Greef Karga in the Mandalorian and Dillon in Predator has passed away at the age of seventy-six. Another actor who played a role in Star Wars has passed away and I missed my chance to meet him, I think last year or the year before at Fan Expo Boston. Speaking of which, I missed my chance last year to meet Peter Cullen and Monica Rial, even Suzie Yeung again! Damn it! I really need to find a convention closer to home where Peter Cullen is one of the guests. I want to meet him, I gotta meet him! I want to meet my voice acting idol.
Well, next chapter is going to be a slimy one, if any of you know what I mean. So, until then, please read and review.
