I got to say, I love the Amazon Fallout series. It seems the people who directed the show really knew what they were doing, like they actually played the game or paid attention to lore of the game, because it seems they've shed some new light on how the nuclear war actually began.

You all remember that scene in Fallout 4? Where, the playable character and your spouse evacuate to Vault 111 right as the bombs fell? Setting off a chain of events that will change the fate of the Commonwealth? I really loved Fallout 4. Played the hell out of it and spent hours creating custom weapons and armor for my characters.

I say this, because for some reason, I decided to buy Fallout 76. I know, I know there are a lot of people who say the game is crap and not worth playing, but I do like a good open world game as much as the next person. I just need to find the right places to search for the mods for weapons and armor, especially automatic receiver's, extended magazines, stocks, barrels, scopes, and such. Wonder if there are any dog companions in the game?

So, before I begin, I should mention that I am considering on giving some students the abilities and powers of the original Power Rangers, make a team of rangers that is entirely made of people with quirks, plus give the Shogun and Ninja Megazords some spotlight. I can already tell you that making Monoma a ranger is out of the question, I really don't like that guy. Same goes for Bakugo.

Alright, time for some more action this chapter. I hope plenty of you have watched Dante's Peak, because you'll be seeing a lot of material from that movie. I do plan on using the plot of Volcano later in the story, so I can bring in the new megazord I mentioned in several chapters.

Oh, and while I am late, this chapter will be dedicated to the man who gave us Dragon Ball.

All of you who never liked Weston, you're going to hate him even more. But first, onto the reviews.

DCD Gojira: Oh you have no idea how awesome the movie is, I need to watch the other movies again. Plus, I do have an idea from another reviewer about the G-Man I'm considering.

Monster King: Thanks.

Aztec 13: Glad I could keep you entertained. As for Flects connection to Connor, that's a long way away from being revealed, but I think I did a pretty good job at making them seem more dangerous and having more connections across the globe than they showed us in the movie.

Ultimate Savior Infinity: Trust me, this is going to be an awesome chapter.

Que the intro.

Chapter 21: Fire on the Mountain: Part 4

February 24th, 2221

Angel Lake California

Eastern Sierra Mountains

Western Slopes

5:28 PM

While Doctor Osborn went to advise the town on the situation regarding the Volcano, Peter, Brianna, and Nejire had managed to make their way to the cave on the western slope of the mountain where the Rangers and Robo Knight fought and defeated Trifire. "You sure we'll find anything here?" Brianna asked her boyfriend.

"I don't think it's a coincidence that those monsters chose this cave to do whatever they were doing. All the earthquakes we've measured over the last few days originate from this cave. That clearly means there's something about this cave that's important and we need to figure…" Peter began before he felt something touch his skin. "It's ash." He realized.

"Hey! Come on! Let's go!" Nejire shouted from the cave entrance as Peter took out a device from his bag and his eyes went wide with horror just as the ground began to shake again. As the ground started shaking, a volcanic explosion roared through the air, sending Peter and Brianna flying in one direction, while sending Nejire into the cave.

High School Gymnasium

A massive earthquake also struck the town, causing the people who had gathered in gymnasium to panic and scramble for the door, shoving their way past anyone who got in their way, despite the attempts by Glynda and the rest of the town council to calm them down, none of them noticing that Derric had silently slipped out through the school and to his private car.

As the panicked citizens ran out of the high school, they saw through horror filled eyes as the long thought to be extinct volcano was now spewing out smoke and ash, that could be seen for miles around.

Slopes

On the slopes, skiers took tumbles as they fell to ground, while those on the chairlift soon found themselves stuck and hanging on for their very lives as the winch jammed, only for some of them to fall to their deaths, with a few of them being saved by Tamaki and Lan.

Town

Plates and glasses fell from the counters in homes, the restaurant and shattered on the ground while another explosion from the volcano set out volcanic rocks down to the town, shattering windows and killing more people, including a little girl who was saved at the last minute by Mirio who used his cape to shield the child from the smaller rocks while guiding the child to their parents.

The rest of Glynda's team rushed out of the motel and watched the destruction while the sign collapsed from the quake. "This is not good! This not good!" Greg shouted in alarm.

Town outskirts

There was worse to come as the only roadway out of the town was rigged with demolition charges with Elgar standing far back, wearing an army helmet. "Ah, I love this part of the job." The dimwitted mutant said with a smirk and pressed a button on the remote, and watched as the bridge exploded and was reduced to rubble. "And I just love blowing up bridges." He added, then teleported away.

Ruth's Cabin

Ruth had just opened the door to her truck when the eruption occurred, the blast knocking her off her feet. "No!" she gasped, struggling to get back to her feet just as Cody jumped out of the car and raced into the woods. "Cody! Cody! Cody! Come back here!" she shouted, falling down again, and struggled to get back to her feet, only this time she was assisted by the mysterious Frank Benson. "The Rangers dog just ran off!" she exclaimed.

"Don't worry! Dogs can detect earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. They know where to go! We need to get out of here! It's not safe!" Frank shouted, helping Ruth into her truck, then climbed into the passenger's seat, allowing Ruth to drive away from her home, grateful that someone had taken her home into consideration and created a means to keep her home standing, assuming it would still be standing once this was over.

Sheriff's office

Ceiling tiles fell around Rachel as she crawled under her prison cell's bed, taking cover as the quake continued to cause damage and destruction. The wall by her cell began to crumble, creating an opening that would have allowed Rachel to escape, but the cries of pain from Inko brought any ideas of that to a halt, as she rushed to Inko who was pinned under a medical cabinet that was knocked down during the quake. "Hang on! I'll get you out of this!" Rachel assured the woman, bending down and grabbing the cabinet.

The cabinet weighed over several tons that Rachel couldn't lift the cabinet on her own, but that changed when Izuku rushed in, grabbed the cabinet, and channeled One For All through his entire body and lifted the cabinet off his mother, allowing Rachel to pull Inko out of harm's way before Izuku released his grip on the cabinet.

Mountain side

Already in the cockpit of the Lightspeed Megazord, the rangers approached the erupting volcano with caution as they scanned for potential areas where lava could erupt from. "Guys, I'm picking up something on the scanners. It's a lifeform!" Lena shouted.

"I'm not seeing anything!" TJ called out.

"Wait! Over there! By the volcano!" Connor shouted as a crack opened up in the ground and rising out of the ground was the revived Magmavore, now sporting a new color. "Not this guy again!" he groaned.

"Don't the bad guys know that trying the same plan twice is only going to fail?" Melissa said with an equal groan.

"Then why don't we show them what happens when they mess with us." Anthony snarled, as the Megazord charged towards Magmavore, their saber clashing with Magmavore's club. The revived magma-based monster growled and swung his club again, as the megazord brought its saber up. This time, the saber didn't break in half. "This saber is new and improved; you won't be breaking it like last time." He said with a smirk under his helmet.

Again, Magmavore charged towards the rangers, swinging his club at the megazord, which clashed again with the megazords saber as the ash continued to fall. "We don't have time for this!" Connor growled, energizing the saber which slammed into Magmavore's chest, but the monster was still standing. "What the hell?"

Roaring in a sort of feral rage, Magmavore's club glowed like the fires of hell and changed into a massive fire sword, which he swung at the Lightspeed megazord. Raising its saber up to block the attack, the saber was cut in half like it was melted by magma. "That's impossible!" Melissa gasped.

Even Mondo, David and Jessica were shocked, watching the ongoing battle from I-Island where the ash cloud was starting to fall.

Skull Cavern

"Well, I blew up the bridge just like you guys asked me to." Elgar said the moment he returned to the Skull Cavern, this time with a folding chair, bucket of extra buttery popcorn and a large soda which he placed on the ground, then took a seat. "So, what did I miss?"

"The rangers just lost their saber." Rito said, grabbing a handful of popcorn from Elgar's bucket. "Oh yeah, rotten butter. I like it. So, what's next?'

"What do you think you dolts?" Jinxer snapped. "Magmavore, revie Trifire!" Jinxer ordered.

Angel Lake

With a grunt, Magmavore turned to the debris that was once Trifire and shot beams of red energy from his eyes, reviving the three headed monster, now with red armor and carrying a double-bladed sword. "Not again!" Lena groaned, but the worst was yet to come.

Below them, Ghouligan gestured to Magmavore to his location, where the remains of Fireor were transported and again, a pair of red energy beams shot from his eyes, reviving the monster, this time with a massive flaming sword. "Time for me to join the party!" Ghouligan howled, channeling his own energy and grew to gigantic sizes. "Time to rumble, rangers."

"Four monsters!" TJ exclaimed.

"The combined power level of all four of them." Melissa said, scanning them with her helmet's scanners. "It's over nine thousand!" she exclaimed.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Connor groaned as Ghouligan charged towards them, holding a sword made entirely out of flames, swinging it at the megazords chest. Fireor than followed suit, swinging his own blade at the megazord and struck the shoulder. Sparks erupted from within the megazord's cockpit, but the rangers weren't about to give up. "We need the Star Saber and Sky Boom Shield!"

"We can't! The min-zords are still recharging!" Lena reminded him. "They made that massive trench to keep Ruth's cabin safe!"

Trifire and Magmavore fired a barrage of energy blasts towards the megazord, knocking the megazord down allowing Ghouligan to stab his own sword into the ground, creating a massive crevice that swallowed up the megazord. "That takes care of the rangers. Come on, let's heat this volcano up and roast the humans." He told his fellow fire monsters, retreating back into the ground.

Skull Cavern

"I must admit, this plan is certainly bearing fruit." Ecliptor mused. "Even if the other rangers show up to help the lightspeed rangers, they won't have enough firepower to destroy the monsters and even if they combined all their available weapons, it won't be enough to stop the volcano from destroying the town."

Shigaraki and All For One soon teleported into the Skull Cavern, with Kurogiri by their side. "Well, this is certainly something to behold." Shigaraki said with sarcasm. "A volcanic disaster that threatens an entire town with no heroes' to save them. All Might can't save them, and the rangers are down for the count."

"You said it hand guy." Rito agreed. "Want some popcorn? The butter's all rotten."

"I'll pass." Shigaraki said in disgust.

"So, when do you plan on having the mountain completely destroy everything in it's path?" All For One asked.

"When enough pressure is built up, the mountain will explode and create a pyroclastic cloud, turning the entire town into a graveyard." Olympius explained, casting a spell that showed the desired outcome. A pyroclastic cloud swept down the mountain, destroying everyone and everything in its path "Once the town has been destroyed, we can begin the extraction process and gather the energy needed to resurrect the last of the five warriors we need."

"So, the town's destruction is just a bonus?" Kurogiri asked. "I must admit, that's a bold plan."

"The towns destruction will show the humans that not only have the worlds heroes failed them when they needed them the most but will prove that our power is not to be underestimated." Olympius declared. "They won't stop us and even if the rangers succeed, we still accomplish our objective."

Dark Side of the Moon

From her new place, Trakeena, Vypra and Sambash watched as Angel Lake continued to erupt. "I gotta say, I'm impressed with this plan of theirs." Sambash said with a grin, twirling around his new revolver, a Smith & Wesson M29, .44 magnum revolver, which he dubbed his hand cannon. "I'm impressed."

"You're impressed with Olympius's plan?" Vypra asked.

"No, not that punks plan. Those humans with the guns. Humarise. Having one of their own take control of the town and keep people away from their operations, I'd say we got some new players in this game." Sambash corrected, turning to Trakeena. "Maybe helping them would help us take down Olympius and the rangers."

"That might not actually be a bad idea. Go and find their leader and bring them here and try not to hurt them. I'd rather not have clean this place up." Trakeena ordered.

"As you wish, my lady." Sambash said with a bow, then left the palace.

Angel Lake

At last, the earthquake finally came to an end, but the volcano was continuing to spit out ash as night fell. Peter and Brianna, having finally come to after being thrown into a tree. "Great, this is just great! We come up here to determine when the mountain's going to blow and we end up getting caught in the blast." Brianna groaned, wiping the ash and dirt from her face.

"Well, at least we…" Peter began before he noticed that they were short a person. "Nejire! Where's Nejire!?" he asked in a panic, then glanced towards the cave entrance which was sealed by a large number of rocks. "She's still inside! Come on! We gotta get her out of there!"

"Peter! We can't possibly move all this by ourselves!" Brianna pointed out.

"We don't have a choice!" Peter shouted. "If we don't get her out, she'll die!"

"Hey!" Connor shouted as he and the other rangers staggered towards the two. "Where's Nejire?" he asked.

"She's trapped inside the cave! The eruption knocked her into the cave and collapsed! We were knocked out for a bit!" Brianna explained.

"We need to get her out!" Connor shouted, groaning as he gripped his side. "Damn it!"

"What happened to you guys?" Peter asked.

"Oh, we just got beaten by four monsters who treated our megazord like a toy. The things in a crevice and out of power." Melissa explained, also injured, as her brother started to move the rocks out of the way. "We can't possibly move all those rocks out of the way by ourselves!"

A gunshot then rang out, ricocheting off the rocks as Connor's eyes widened, wincing in pain. Turning around, they saw a bunch of Weston's guards approaching them, one of them holding a Beretta M9 in hand, which he then tossed aside and revealed their true form, Krybots. "You've got to be kidding me! Weston was using Krybots as bodyguards!?" Brianna exclaimed, drawing her own handgun, a .40 caliber Glock 22. "You kids still got some strength left in you?"

"Are you kidding? We took a pounding earlier and I don't think we can handle them all." Anthony said, holding his hands up defensively as the Krybots moved in closer and closer, then attacked.

Several Krybots surrounded Anthony who blocked and parried their attacks, but one of them managed to push Anthony pack into the hands of several waiting Krybots, who then tossed the green ranger aside.

Lena managed to grab a pair of swords from two Krybots and used them to take down several other robots, but a shot from another Krybot's laser knocked her weapons out of her hands, followed by another blast that knocked her to the ground.

TJ wasn't fairing any better, staying on the defensive as the Krybots punched and kicked him before finally one of them managed to kick him in the gut, knocking the wind out of him.

Even Melissa and her brother weren't fairing any better, both of them struggling to keep guard up, but the exhaustion and injuries they suffered from the megazord battle hampered their ability to fight back. As Melissa took a punch to the face, she noticed that her brother was bleeding underneath his shirt. "Are you alright?" she asked.

"I will be once we get Nejire out from the cave!" Connor groaned, as the Krybots threw the other rangers back towards them while Brianna reloaded her handgun and Peter managed to scoop up the Beretta that the Krybot threw away. "We could really use some back up!"

"WOLF ATTACK!" came the voice of Koragg as a barrage of purple wolf heads from the eye on his shield, not only blasting the Krybots down to the ground, but also blowing up the rocks blocking the cave. "Go, save your friend! My companion and I will deal with these machines." Koragg instructed, drawing his sword from his shield, and charged towards the Krybots with his wolf companion already pouncing on one of the Krybots.

"You better have some answers for us!" Peter shouted, running into the cave with the rangers and his girlfriend.

Koragg didn't answer the scientist, swinging his sword down on one of the Krybots while bashing another away with his shield. "You're no warrior, but simply machines with programing. Hardly worth my time." Koragg stated, impaling a Krybot with his sword before bringing up his shield to block enemy laser fire. "But the only one who will destroy the rangers is me and I will not allow you or your master's to destroy them."

His wolf ally howled and rushed towards the Krybots, curling up into a massive ball of fur which slammed into the Krybots like a bowling ball, knocking several of them down like pins and destroying them. "Good boy." Koragg praised the wolf before it howled and unleashed a blast of dark magic energy towards the machines which exploded and took out more of the Krybots.

Rushing towards the Krybots as they fired their blasters at him, Koragg raised his shield and blocked the blasts, slamming his shield into one Krybot which he then pinned to a tree, then tossed them away into a boulder. "Soulless machines! You are no warriors!" he roared, leaping into the air, and landing in the middle of a large group of Kyrbots, swinging his sword around and cutting them down without any mercy or hesitation.

"Time to finish this battle!" Koragg said as his four-legged companion joined him, and the knight wolf held his sword tight, channeling dark energy through the blade as the remaining Krybots rushed towards them. "Dark Magic Strike!" he roared, swinging his blade with such fury that nothing was left of the Krybots was scrap metal as he sheathed his sword and turned around, while the Krybots sparked violently and exploded in a massive ball of fire when they fell over. "That was satisfying."

He then turned to the cave where the rangers, Peter and Brianna emerged from with an injured and unconscious Nejire in their hands, who was covered in dirt and bleeding from her forehead. "Get back to the town and assist in evacuating the town. You don't have much time before the Volcano destroys everything in its path." Koragg told the rangers, noticing Connor's look at him. "You don't trust me, do you?"

"Kind of hard not to considering you've been attacking us for weeks and trying to destroy us. You had the chance to do so and now you helped us. What's your game?" Connor demanded as the ground began to shake once again.

"Return to town, and I will tell you." Koragg simply said and vanished with his wolf companion in a sphere of dark energy.

Connor wasn't unsure about Koragg's intentions, but begrudgingly hopped into the Rescue Rover's driver seat and gave the vehicle some gas, driving away from the cave just as lava flowed from the entrance. "Why do I get the feeling he knows more than he's letting on?" Connor asked the other rangers, trying to keep his wound from showing.

"Maybe it's a power struggle? Ranger villains do struggle for control when it comes to power." Peter guessed.

"It can't be that. If it was, then Koragg would have attacked us, but he helped us and…" Lena began before the Rescue Rover came to an abrupt stop. "A little warning would be nice next time." She groaned. "Why'd you stop?"

"Take a look." Connor said, as ahead of them was a literal river of lava was flowing across the road. "Great, just great."

"We can't drive across this." Brianna said. "The gas tank will catch on fire and the tires will melt."

"Then it's a good thing that this is the new and improved rescue rover." TJ said with a grin and pressed a button on the rover's console. In an instant, the tires were covered in a tungsten metal wheel cage and wedge plow shot out from below the chassis and positioned itself in front of the engine block. An energy shield soon materialized around the rover. "Hope Hatsume didn't go overboard with the upgrades."

"One way to find out." Connor said, putting the rover into reverse, backed up a few feet, then shifted into drive and pressed his foot on the gas petal, driving the rover right into the lava as the heat shield started to dwindle at a slow pace. The rover buckled as it drove through the lava before they came to a stop. "You've got to be kidding me!" he groaned, looking back to see that the back tire had gotten stuck in a sort of pothole from the hardened lava underneath the flowing lava.

"Heat shields are draining fast!" Lena called out as Connor shifted gears several times to try and break free of the pothole, but the rover wouldn't budge. More lava was starting to come down the hill ahead of them as the wheels continued to spin, due to the lack of traction. "Get us unstuck!"

"Come on! Come on!" Connor shouted, banging on the dashboard of the rover before it finally got free. "Yes!"

"Look! There's Cody!" Melissa shouted and pointed to the rocks ahead of them where said dog was barking.

"TJ take over! I've got to go get him!" Connor told the blue ranger, who grabbed the steering wheel, while Connor moved to the back of the rover, calling out for his dog. "Cody!"

"We're only going to get once chance at this!" Anthony shouted as they came nearer and nearer to the rock that Cody was stuck on, before finally, the dog jumped into the back of the rover, safe and sound, although covered in ash as the rover continued to drive down the road back to town.

"You mind tell us what those upgrades were?" Brianna asked.

"Once we get out of here, we'll tell you everything." Melissa said, turning her attention to Nejire who was still unconscious from her injuries. By now, lighting started to flash from the volcanic eruption as day turned to night, but the ash continued to fall.

Angel Lake

7:00 PM

Down in the town, several buildings were already burning out of control due to the fires, people ran about in a panic, shattered glass from windows of cars and homes littered the streets as the light from a helicopter shined down from above as it came to a landing close to the motel. The moment it landed, Weston, Elliot and Les climbed aboard the helicopter, but this was noticed by Nancy from inside the motel. "Oh no! Looks like our asshole pilot plans on flying Weston and his group out of here!" she called out.

"If he gets any of that ash sucked into his engine, he's had it!" Greg shouted, running out of the motel in a hurry. Several people tried to board the helicopter, but were kicked off by Weston, who then had the nerve to pull out a handgun and fire at several of them, while the pilot stuffed the cash he was given into his jacket.

"He's getting paid $15,000 bucks, cold cash!" a civilian told Greg as he ran towards the helicopter.

"Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! No, no, no! Wait! Wait! Stop! Stop! Stop!" Greg shouted, but the pilot didn't stop and just continued flying. The flight wasn't a long one was the ash sucked into the engine caused the engines to stall and stop, sending the helicopter down to the ground, where it skipped once and would have exploded had it not been for Ryukyu, in her dragon form catching the helicopter with her mouth, bringing it down to the ground, where the police surrounded Weston, with Rachel in front of the wrecked helicopter.

"What the hell are you doing out of prison, bitch?" Weston demanded angrily.

"Taking control of the situation." Rachel answered, as Buck and several deputies handcuffed Weston, Les, and Elliot.

"Derric Weston, Les, Elliot Blair! You're under arrest for conspiracy and illegal drilling. You have the right to remain silent." Buck began, listing the arrested men their rights while the pilot of the helicopter was treated for his wounds, just as the Rescue Rover came down the road. "Take them!"

The rescue rover came to a stop, allowing the rangers, Peter, Brianna, and Cody to exit the vehicle while paramedic's loaded Nejire onto a gurney and wheeled her into the motel. "What happened to Hado?" Mirio asked the moment he stopped by the rover.

"Nothing good. She got knocked into the cave when the eruption happened, and she hit pretty hard." Brianna answered. "She took a nasty blow to the head, but it could have been worse if we hadn't gotten to her in time."

"It's worse than you think." Connor said, clutching his side in pain as he braced himself against the side of the rover. "Trifire, Magmavoe, Ghouligan, and Fireor are back and packing some deadly quirks. They practically took us down without any effort."

"You've been shot!" Fatgum exclaimed, noticing the blood on Connor's hand.

"Yeah, I took a bullet from a pistol, used by one of Westons guards which were actually Krybots in disguise!" Connor answered, looking at his hand which was covered in blood. "Bullet went through, but I'm losing blood fast."

"Get him inside! Out of the ash!" Peter shouted, grabbing Connor by the shoulder, and guiding him into the motel. Lightning flashed again, illuminating a growing fire coming from the mountain that indicated the lava was flowing into the ravine, away from the town.

However, Humarise was facing a situation of its own on the western slopes. The moment they finished fueling up the last of the tankers, they were quick to leave the drilling station just minutes before the eruption and were thirty-five kilometers away from the mountain, only to be stopped by the California National Guard and Silver Guardians under the command of Captain Robert Tillman, an associate of David Shields who by an association was a friend of All Might. "You folks seem lost. Maybe you've gotten turned around because of the shit you've just put the town through!" the thirty-five-year-old black haired, red eyed man said with a snarl, dressed in uniform of a national guard soldier.

"You're under arrest!" a Silver Guardian shouted, drawing his side arm at the Humarise members.

One of the members of Humarise, pulled an assault rifle from the truck and opened fired at the soldiers, prompting the other members of the religious cult to open fire with machine guns and submachineguns, while one cultist fired a rocket launcher that destroyed one of the Humvee's, sending it up into the air. "Open fire!" Colonel Tillman shouted, snapping his own assault rifle to his shoulder and fired a burst that cut down one of the cultists, only for another cultist to toss several spherical devices into the air, summoning several platoons of Krybots to the battle. "Call it in! We've engaged Humarise and are requesting the support of heroes!" the colonel shouted to the radioman.

Gunfire and blaster fire echoed around the area as lightning and thunder continued to echo around, the battle being observed by a drone of unknown origin.

Angel Lake

By 9PM, the situation in the town was becoming worse by the minute. From what one of his deputies reported, Buck regrettably reported that the only bridge out of town was completely destroyed, by an unknown source. Medical supplies were starting to run low and from what he heard from Colonel Danforth, helicopter rescues were out of the question due to the ashfall, which would lead to people being killed rather than being saved.

As Connor was getting his side wrapped, Nejire stirred from her unconsciousness and slowly rose from her bed. "Ow, that really hurt, you know." She said with puffed cheeks, then looked around her surroundings. "Where am I?"

"The motel in town." Connor answered, rotating his arm. "You were knocked out when the eruption sent you flying into the cave. You were bleeding, so you had to get a few stiches. Other than that, you were covered in a bit of grime and dirt, but you're going to be alright. That's more than I can say for me, I got shot."

"You're not going to die, are you?" Nejire exclaimed.

"No, the bullet went clean through, and it didn't nick an artery." Connor said with a smile. "Still, I got to wonder what a Krybot was doing with a 9mm."

"The better question is to why there were Krybots in the first place." Nighteye said as he entered the makeshift recovery room. "Tell me, Mr. Grayson, have you ever wondered why your parents were killed? Or why that villain chooses that bank to rob or why that hero attacked first before the negotiations could begin?"

"I never really gave those thoughts any consideration." Connor admitted, glancing at the ash that was still falling from the volcano. "I need to get back out there and help those people. There are plenty of injured people who need a hero right now and I have to be that hero."

"What you need to do, is listen." Nighteye glared, looking directly at Connor. "Your parents weren't the victims of a random villain attack but murdered by Humarise."

"What are you talking about?" Connor asked, taken aback by Nighteye's revelation.

"Shortly before your parents were murdered, Derric Weston contacted your parents with the proposal of providing his Humarise allies with ranger technology to combat the ever growning Quirk menace as they called it." he began, raising his glasses up the rim of his eyes. "They wanted weapons such as the V-Lancers, Delta Enforcers, Drive Defenders, and such so they could combat the eighty percent of the population with quirks in a war of survival. Your parents refused, claiming that ranger technology was designed to protect the people of this world, regardless of whether they have a quirk or not and in response, Weston used his connections to cut their funding on their project to restore the Battlefleet Battleship, as part of a collaboration with Hartford Industries. This in turn led your parents to go to bank where they were murdered, by Humarise operatives who posed as both hero and villain, there by preventing your parents from reporting Weston's activities to the authorities, which would have led to his arrest."

"Wait, are you saying that, that weirdo Weston had Connor's parents murdered?" Nejire said with a gasp of pure surprise, which Nighteye nodded.

Like the volcano blowing up above the town, Connor felt his blood boil like the lava that almost killed his dog. Anger taking over, he got out of his bed and stormed to the jail, where Weston and his accomplices were being kept, grabbing Buck's sidearm much to the sheriff's surprise before he returned much later, dragging Derric by the collar of his shirt, and throwing him to the ash covered ground. "YOU SON OF A BITCH! YOU KILLED MY PARENTS!" Connor roared in a feral rage.

"What the hell are you talking about kid?" Weston demanded, only to get pistol whipped in the face causing him to bleed.

"JACK AND LINDA GRAYSON! YOU KNOW THOSE NAMES? THEY WERE MY PARENTS! PARENTS WHO YOU HAD YOUR DAMN HUMARISE BUDDIES MURDER IN COLD BLOOD! ALL BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T GIVE YOU RANGER TECH TO FIGHT AGAINST YOUR SO-CALLED ENEMIES!" Connor shouted, his grip on the gun tightening and on the verge of tears "BECAUSE OF YOU! I LOST MY PARENTS AND HATED HEROES! YOU HERE THAT! MY PARENTS!"

"Your parents were a threat to our cause! They had to die otherwise they would have stopped us! Quirks will bring about the end of the human race, unless we stop them!" Weston snarled, getting pistol whipped again by Connor.

"I DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR BELIEFS!" Connor spat, raising the pistol to Derric's head, and pressing the barrel against his forehead. "MY NAME IS… CONNOR GRAYSON… AND I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!" he roared, his finger poised over the trigger and ready to pull.

"CONNOR! DON'T!" Izuku shouted, tackling his friend to the ground, and knocking the pistol out of his hands. "Don't do it! He's not worth it!"

"HE DESERVES TO DIE FOR WHAT HE'S DONE TO ME! HE RUINED MY LIFE!" Connor roared, glaring at his best friend.

"You're the one who told me that Power Rangers never use their powers for personal gain or seek revenge! You're betraying everything that you believe in! Yes, this man is a criminal! Yes, he ordered the hit on your parents, but killing him won't bring back your parents." Izuku said in defense of Derric.

"HE'S A CRIMINAL AND DESERVES TO PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE! I'LL KILL HIM!" Connor roared.

"If you do that then you're no better than him!" Izuku countered. "You'd be no better than the monsters you fight and every villain in history. You'd be throwing everything away and become the very thing you swore to defend the world from. What would your parents say about you if they saw you now?"

The mention of his parents made Connor's rage die down and he gasped at what he had almost done. He nearly killed the very man who ordered his parents death, all in a quest for revenge, something he vowed never to do. On the verge of tears, he removed his morpher and threw it to the ground, then ran away. "Connor! Wait! Come back!" Izuku shouted, as Cody ran after his master, followed by Nejire while the other rangers, Mirio, Tamaki, Nighteye, Fatgum and the inheritor of One For All stayed behind as the eruption continued all around them, forcing them to focus on helping the bystanders.

Super Rescue Lab/Rescue Bay

Having forgotten his morpher was turned on, David had heard everything that Nighteye told Connor, Weston's own words in the demise of Connor's parents. A part of David was angry, and wished Connor took the path of revenge, but that's when he remembered something a wise man once told him long ago. "Revenge will not bring back those we have lost." David said to himself, wiping the tears from his eyes. "Jack, Linda. You didn't deserve to die like that, but you made the right choice to keep yourself from aiding those fanatics. But Connor, you have to learn that even if you got your revenge, it wouldn't have changed a thing. You can't bring back people from the dead."

"It's terrible." Mondo said. "To think that Humarise wanted to use ranger technology for their own goals and killed a pair of promising scientists all to cover up their interest in the technology, just so they could use that technology to wipe out the eighty percent of the population with a quirk, practically committing genocide." He went on, his thoughts focusing on the influx of scientists and engineers that had gone missing over the years. "But we cannot focus on that right now. We must finish the work on the new and improved Super Train Megazord before it is too late."

"Uh, could you explain to me what would happen if it is too late?" Loki asked.

"Unless the volcano is stopped, a pyroclastic cloud, which is a mixture of magma, lithic rock, and superheated gases will travel down the mountain at sixty miles an hour and a height of ten feet will take out everything in its path. The same thing happened to Pompei and Herculaneum in 79 A.D, when Mt. Vesuvius erupted. But the fact that four monsters capable of using the destructive power of fire are involved, the damage could be much worse." Mondo explained, typing in a set of commands on a terminal, bringing up a diagram of the mountain and the projected blast-radius.

"What are the chances that the new and improved Super Train Megazord will destroy Trifire and the others?" Diabolico asked. "Given that Olympius is giving his monsters quirks, the power they have could overwhelm the megazord."

"That's why we've given it new weapons." Jessica answered, taking off her lab coat, took a seat at one of the terminals, then rubbed her eyes. "But they won't be much good unless we finish it. We need to move fast." She said, making herself a cup of coffee.

10:30 PM

Having gained a distance from the town, Connor stopped, panted, and placed a hand on a tree. "I can't believe I almost did that." He said in shock. "I… I almost killed a man because they killed my parents. I'm not a ranger, I'm not even a hero." He fell to his knees and punched the ash covered ground. "AGH!"

"So, you've learned the truth." Koragg said as he emerged from the forest, placing his shield and sword down while his wolf companion took a seat.

"You knew, didn't you?" Connor snarled. "You knew that Weston and Humarise were behind my parents' deaths, and you were going to use that against me, weren't you? WERE YOU PLANNING ON USING THAT KNOWLEDGE SO YOU CAN DESTROY ME!?" he roared.

"Why would I do something as dishonorable as that?" Koragg asked. "You would be distraught, unable to focus on the battle. Your mind would be focused solely on revenge against the man and group who took your life away from you. I'd be wasting my time in fighting you like that."

"I don't understand?" Connor questioned, unaware that Nejire and Cody were behind him and ducked behind a tree as they listened to Koragg's explanation.

"Yes, I knew about Humarise's involvement with the death of your parents, but to what extent I didn't know." Koragg began. "I learned about their plans for this town, to turn it into a training camp where they could train their more militaristic followers in combat, so they could hunt down any survivors with quirks who would escape their master plan, a plan that I have no information about, but know that it had something to do with their drilling into the volcano." He then walked closer to the red ranger. "Yes, your parents' deaths were tragic, but you've used their deaths as a means of strength. You've vowed to become a hero that they could be proud of when it's your time to be born into the eternal life. Your heart burns with the fires of justice, not revenge. What Humarise did was disgusting and dishonorable, but the time to take them down is not now."

"YOU DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH!" Connor shouted. "My parents are dead and the man who ordered the hit on them was right in front of me! I should have killed him!"

"No, you shouldn't!" Nejire shouted, finally making her presence known. The ash was already starting to stick to her hair, making her look dirtier than she already was, even darkening her costume. "Like your friend said, if you had pulled that trigger, then you would be the same as that man and that's not who you are!"

"How can you be sure you know the real me? What if I've been lying to you, like I've been lying to myself." Connor sighed with tears coming down his eyes. "I'm no hero and I'm no ranger. I'm not cut out to be a ranger and never was."

"You're wrong!" Nejire exclaimed. "You are cut out to be a ranger and I know it, just like you know it! If you weren't a ranger, then you wouldn't have saved me." She then walked to Connor and pulled him into an embrace like the one a mother would do with their child. "You saved my life and you've saved countless lives. I know you're a hero and it's not just because you're my friend, but it's because you're my hero!"

Connor finally stopped crying and looked at the indigo haired girl in front of him, holding him like his mother did long ago and felt something he had almost forgotten. The love of someone close to him. There was no denying it now, he was in love with Nejire, and immediately he wrapped his arms around the girl he loved. "What have I done!?"

"You did what any person would do in your situation." Koragg said. "We might be enemies, but I prefer to fight you when you are at your best and become stronger. You didn't kill that man, and that is something a real ranger would do, something that you are." He then turned around and picked up his shield and sword. "Just so we're clear, I am still your enemy, but know this. Humarise is now my enemy and no matter what they have done, they will be defeated, but not by one of us alone." He said, then walked away. "Go now and be the ranger I know you are. I will be watching your progress so our next battle will be a fulfilling one." He then vanished in a dark spell seal, with his wolf-companion.

"That is one weird villain." Nejire said, holding out Connor's morpher. "Come on, red ranger. We got work to do." She said, Cody barking in agreement.

Connor laughed, putting his morpher back onto his wrist and smiled. "We rangers don't give up that easy." He said, then ran back towards the town with his dog by his side and Nejire flying through the air with the use of her quirk.

Further up the mountain, the lava had flowed into the trench that the mini-zords had made, sparing Ruth's house from the fire, but didn't flow all the way to the ravine. Some of the lava had overflowed the banks of the trench and was now flowing down the mountain dangerously in the direction of Angel Lake.

Back in the town, rescue personnel, pro heroes and the four rangers, plus Robo Knight, Lan, Izuku, Mirio and Tamaki were focusing on rescuing the civilians trapped in their homes, which had their roofs collapsed in due to the amount of volcanic ash that accumulated on the roofs. Breaking a door down, Fat Gum made an entrance into a small two-story house, allowing Robo Knight and several firemen to enter the building and evacuate the occupants. "My scanners have picked up another human life sign, in there!" Robo Knight said, breaking down the door to the room of a little girl, who was clutching her kitten close to her and crying. "Don't worry, you will be safe." Robo Knight assured the girl as he picked her up, kitten included and exited the house, handing the girl off to emergency personnel.

A fire had broken out by the gas station, trapping several bystanders inside the main building as the fire made its way closer and closer to the fuel pumps. Spraying retardant on it the flames, TJ and Anthony doused the flames while Mirio used his quirk to phase through the door of the gas station, then with a battle cry, punched the door off its hinges, allowing the bystanders to escape. "That's another couple of people saved." Mirio said a proud smile.

Several skiers were still trapped on the slopes, following the original earthquake. The Ski Patrol rangers were overworked by the number of trapped skiers, but their workload was relieved thanks to the efforts of Ryukyu, who was flying the injured down the mountain on her back while in her dragon form. One such group had a skier suffering from second degree burns, caused by the fires that had broken all over the mountain, not just because of the volcano. Paramedics were quick to take the injured skiers to the triage station that was set up in the lodge, but Ryukyu knew that soon they would exhaust all medical supplies and without anymore, plenty of people would die. Glancing at the volcano as Tamaki ran down the slopes, with his lower torso in the form of a horse and his arms as octopus tentacles, the normally quiet and sky third year dropped off several skiers, then ran back up the mountain to find more.

Back in town, several police officers were trying to free the trapped tourists still in their cars who were trying to leave the mountain town, only for a massive pile up to occur when the engines of several cars stalled. Ahead of them, a fuel tanker carrying biofuel for the diesel locomotives of the narrow-gauge railroad, had crashed, and was starting to leak fuel onto the road. A spark ignited the leaked fuel, engulfing the tanker in a massive explosion while the flames spread down the trail left by the fuel, trapping several people in their cars. "We need water now!" an officer shouted.

"We don't have any water! It's all contaminated!" another officer shouted.

"I've got you covered!" Lan called out, leaping over them and throwing bombs towards the flames, creating a series of ice walls while his right hand had transformed into a sort of water nozzle, which he then aimed at the fires and sprayed retardant foam onto the fire, stopping the fires before he turned his attention to a car ahead of him, where a family was trapped by the car that had rammed them. "Hang on! I'll get you out!" Lan shouted, changing his left hand into an energy sword which he stabbed into the roof of the car, then changed it into a massive fist along with right hand, then pulled the roof apart, allowing the family to escape the vehicle before his fire barriers melted. "This is going to be a long night."

Elsewhere in the city, the roof of a guest villa had collapsed due to the amount of ash piled on top of it, pinning several people under a pile of debris that Lena and Melissa were removing while policemen and fireman escorted them out of the building. "I can't keep this up, I'm exhausted." Lena panted through her helmet.

"We've got to keep going, we can't leave these people to die!" Melissa shouted, equally exhausted, but not willing to give up, but didn't notice that the support beam above her was about to fall on her. Luckily for her, Nighteye caught the support beam, which he then tossed aside. "Thank you, Sir Nighteye."

"Head to the next building. I'll handle things here." Nighteye told the two rangers, who immediately rushed to the next building while Nighteye started to instruct the officers and fireman where the other people were pinned down.

Several buildings ahead, a massive fire had blocked the road towards the clinic where Doctor Quinn had several patients undergoing intensive care and needed evacuation. The flames were so hot that not even the fire trucks could drive through the flames. "We can't get through!" a fireman shouted, just as Nejire flew over the flames and Connor, already morphed leapt through the flames.

Landing on the ground on the other side of the flames, he spotted a water tower on top of one of the buildings near the clinic. "I hope there's water in that tower." He said to himself, rushing to the side of the building and climbing the fire escape. "I'm going to need a bigger blaster." He sighed.

"I've got this!" came the voice of his best friend, Izuku powering his quirk through his entire body and surged towards the tower, punching a massive hole into the front of the tower using eight percent of his power and dosed the firewall with water. "Hey! I didn't break any bones this time!" he said in surprise.

"Well done, Izuku! Well, done!" Connor said, rushing to his friend's side. "I'm sorry, about earlier. I just…" he started to say.

"Apologize later, we need to get those people out of the clinic now!" Izuku told his friend, leaping down from the building and using his quirk to soften his landing while Connor landed with a roll on the ground. A tree had fallen onto the clinic, causing the roof to cave in and shattered several windows, but the two friends grabbed the tree from where it landed, with Nejire also grabbing the tree and tossed it aside, allowing the patients and doctors to calmly evacuate the clinic. "Oh my god, this is completely insane!" Izuku exclaimed when he glanced back at the mountain.

"Rangers! The lava has overflown the trench and is heading towards the town! You need to block it fast!" Peter shouted over the communicator he was given by Connor before the eruption.

"Oh great! We didn't dig the trench deep enough!" Connor groaned, rushing back to the motel where the Rescue Rover was still parked, jumped into the driver's seat, shifted gears, and drove to the edge of town with Izuku jumping into the rover.

"What's your plan!?" Izuku asked his friend, as he drove up the road.

"I don't have a plan, yet. But I've got an idea." Connor started, driving off the road and activated the Rescue Rovers plow, then drifted and turned around, before pushing it as far down as it could, pushing away dirt as the lava came into view. "We can't stop lava, but we change the direction it's going. We've got flat land below us and if we can change its direction, we can send it into the ravine. Heat shields should hold, and we got a nitro booster installed. That should keep us ahead of the lava." Connor explained, shifting the rover into high gear, and pressed down hard on the gas pedal.

Dirt and snow were pushed aside as the rover plowed its makeshift trench with the lava flowing into the trench as it crested down the hill and towards the town. Following its new path, the lava followed after the rescue rover which maintained a safe distance as Izuku looked back. "Uh, the lava's catching up! We're not going to make it!" he called out.

"Heat shields are starting to do a major fade." Connor noted, seeing the ravine ahead of them. "This is going to be close!" he shouted, pressing another button on the dashboard, activating the nitro booster, pushing the rover past its top speed, getting closer and closer to the ravine before Connor pulled off, just before the ravine, while the lava fell over the side and into the ravine. "That was too close."

"Well, we stopped the lava." Izuku said with a sigh, feeling like he lost about ten years of his life. "But what about the volcano?"

"One thing at a time." Connor told his friend, driving back to town.

February 25th

7:30 AM

By the time morning came, the town was completely buried in volcanic ash. Throughout the night, emergency personnel, the rangers, and every able-bodied individual, quirkless or possessing a quirk had conducted rescue operations on the citizens that were trapped in damaged buildings caused by the quake and treated for their injuries.

The lava had flowed into the ravine, just as predicted and spared the town from further damage, but the rising heat from the volcano caused the ground to open up further up the mountain, melting the snow and ice, which created a volcanic mudslide that swept up trees, broken branches and anything along the riverbed, before it joined the river and turned it into a torrent that was speeding down the mountain at a dangerous pace.

Down in the town of Fairview, which also suffered some damage from the eruption, the mechanic, Deacon was looking at the mountain from the roof of his shop as National Guard and Silver Guardian vehicles drove into the town, some of them carrying captured Humarise followers who were arrested following the previous nights gun fight, which could be heard from down in the town. "Bunch of assholes." He snarled, placing his binoculars back to his eyes, looking at the river. "River's getting full of mud and shit, they gotta get those people off the mountain before it's too late." He murmured, but he knew that was impossible.

The main eruption generated an earthquake that measured a 7.6 on the Richter scale, causing a series of rockslides that blocked off the roads leading up the mountain town, and aerial evacuations were impossible due to the ash in the air. The only other way up to the town, was the railroad, but the engines weren't heated up, some were undergoing repairs and most of the coaches were at the station in the mountain town. "Boozer, Sarah," he began, lowering the binoculars from his eyes. "Start moving some of the things around in the shop. I don't know how, but we're going to be getting an influx of injured people coming here." He shouted down from the roof.

Sheriff's office

"I talked to Colonel Danforth, he's with the guard. Rockslides have blocked off any means of evacuation out of town and with the bridge gone, they couldn't get here even if they could get past the rockslides." Buck told the Rangers, Rachel, Peter, Glynda, Brianna, Terry, Jerry, Tao, Nancy, Nejire, Mirio, Tamaki, Izuku and Lan.

"The county reinforced the bridge, but it was blown up by explosives." Rachel recounted. "Guess that explains why those explosives were found in the mine. I shouldn't have been too hard on Grant."

"You didn't know, none of us did." The dragoon hero assured the mayor of the town.

"We got a bigger problem." Peter interjected, putting his tablet on the table. "We had some of the guys down in LA run simulations and they've confirmed that the next eruption, it will destroy everything in it's path."

"We need to evacuate." Brianna said immediately.

"Problem is, we've got to many injured people, a mass evacuation could kill most of them." Buck pointed out, just as the ground began to shake again. "What am I saying, we'll all be killed if we don't get out of here."

"Chief Adams, how many coaches and locomotives are here at the station?" Nighteye asked.

"Two K-27's, one recently rebuilt K-28, one K-36 and two of those narrow-gauge diesel locomotives. Plenty of coaches too, why do you ask?" Buck answered.

"We need to start evacuating as many people as possible. If Mr. Slaters figures are correct, then we don't have much time before the volcano erupts and destroys everything in its path. We'll start by loading the injured and send them down to Fairview. Have some of the workers fire up the boilers of those locomotives, they run on biofuel, so they won't take long to prepare." Nighteye explained. "Two engines per train, with twelve coaches per train. Load as many of the injured onto the trains and take them to Fairview, then come back for more. With any luck, we should minimize the number of casualties caused by the eruption."

"Is that our best option?" Connor asked. "We don't even know how long we have before the volcano erupts and when it does, everyone who's still in town will be killed. The only way to stop the volcano is to take out the monsters."

"Your megazord was critically damaged. History tells us that two monsters were able to knock down the megazord, and with four of them, you won't stand a chance." Rachel pointed out.

"It doesn't matter." Melissa interjected. "The reserve power should be back online, and we can use the megazord to keep them busy until Papa can send us a new megazord."

"Melissa's right. We can't just forget about the monsters. Whatever Olympius want's, he's getting it, and we need to stop them before they get it all." Lena said in agreement.

"What about your leader? What does he have to say about this?" Nighteye asked, causing all eyes to focus onto Connor.

"I'll admit, I'm not sure what I'm feeling right now, after learning the truth." Connor began, looking at his morpher. "But I know for a fact, that my parents wouldn't want me to abandon these people for any reason. I'm going to stay, I'm going to fight, I'm going to be a hero." He said with determination.

"Don't go thinking we're going to let you go alone." Mirio said with a smile. "If us third years let you first years take all the risk, then we would be bad upper classman."

"If Mirio is going, then I'm going to." Tamaki said, with a little encouragement.

"That goes double for me! I'm in too." Nejire said.

"I might not have a provisional license, but this is a crisis. I'm going to help my friends." Izuku said with a fierce look in his eyes.

"I'm in too!" Lan said. "I might not be a UA student or have a cool mentor like Nighteye and the rest of you, but I'm not going to let them get away with this! They've destroyed people's homes, and I won't back down from something like this. Time for us to Go Beyond! Plus Ultra!"

"Plus Ultra!" the teens said at once.

"I will stay an assist with the evacuations." Robo Knight said. "This is your battle and not mine. I will focus on protecting the people from the ones who threaten them."

"Alright, let's move it!" Connor said, running out of the sheriff's office, then glanced his attention at the mountain. A look of determination came to his face as he and the others rushed up the mountain, while the rest of the pro heroes, the USGS members and emergency personnel got to work.

As the rangers and teens ran up the mountain, towards the crevice where the Megazord was laying, a series of blasts exploded in front of them, courtesy of Moltor, Furio, Scorpina, Darkonda, Treacheron and a horde of Batlings, Lava Lizards and Quantrons. "Oh great, the welcome wagon." Lan groaned.

"Going somewhere rangers?" Darkonda asked with sarcasm. "Oh, I know what you're planning, are you thinking of going to the megazord? Well, that won't do. We've got an amazing show coming and it's going to be a blast."

"You call this a show!? People are hurt and dying!" Mirio shouted through gritted teeth. "How can you live with yourself?"

"We're monsters! We don't care about the people. We live for destruction!" Furio scoffed. "And you're in the way." Raising his hand, he launched a barrage of lighting towards the young heroes, followed by Darkonda, Scorpina and Moltor who did the same thing, while Treacheron had his hands on the hilt of his sword. "You won't take another step!"

"You won't stop us! People are counting on us and no matter what." Connor began.

"We always go beyond!" Nejire added.

"Plus Ultra!" the teens shouted at the same time.

"You can't stop us!" Scorpina shouted, pointing her blade at the heroes.

"We can and we will!" Izuku proclaimed.

(Que Gogo V theme)

"Lightspeed! Rescue!" the five rangers shouted and flipped open their morphers. This time, they each flung a cape around themselves, their bodies glowing as the cape enveloped their bodies and materialized into their ranger suits with their helmets snapping into place.

"Red Ranger! Rescue Ready!" Connor shouted, snapping a salute, and held up his fists.

"Blue Ranger! Rescue Ready!" TJ shouted, snapping a salute and his arms held sideways with his fist clenched.

"Green Ranger! Rescue Ready!" Anthony shouted, snapping a salute, and holding his hands out like claws.

"Yellow Ranger! Rescue Ready!" Lena shouted, snapping a salute, and held both her fists out, her right hand near her helmet and her left hand out front, both of then facing sideways.

"Pink Ranger! Rescue Ready!" Melissa shouted, snapping a salute and clenched her fists, crossing her forearms in front of her chest.

"Lan Benson! Rescue Ready!" Lan shouted, saluting as his battle armor materialized over his body.

"Nejire Hado! Nejire-chan! Rescue Ready!" Nejire shouted, saluting while channeling her quirk through her hands.

"Mirio Togota! Lemillion! Rescue Ready!" Mirio shouted, saluting while flexing his muscles.

"Tamaki Amajiki! Suneater! Rescue Ready!" Tamaki shouted, saluting while his arms transformed into the blades of a swordfish.

"Izuku Midoriya! Rescue Ready!" Izuku shouted, snapping a salute while drawing his back his fist.

"Peoples lives are Earths future!" Connor, Nejire, Mirio, Lan and Izuku said together.

"Blazing Rescue Spirits!" Melissa, Lena, Tamaki, TJ, and Anthony said together.

"Power Rangers!" The rangers shouted, snapping to attention.

"Heroes!" Izuku and the others shouted.

"Lightspeed! Rescue!"

"Unite!" they all shouted, as colorful explosions erupted behind them, echoing around.

(End theme)

"DESTROY THEM!" Scorpina shouted, signaling the foot soldiers and other monsters to attack.

The rangers and their allies charged forward, each of them pairing up with one of their friends. Connor was with Izuku, Nejire was with Melissa, Mirio was with Lena, Tamaki was with Anthony and Lan was with TJ.

Leaping over with a double front kick, Connor sent a Batling flying into a tree, but quickly ducked down to avoid a swing from a Quantron's blade. The blade came down again, but Connor caught it between his hands, used the momentum he had built up and pushed the blade away, then kicked the Quantron back. "Rescue Blaster!" he shouted, drawing his sidearm and fired at several Batlings. A stream of red energy from Scorpina's hands exploded around him but didn't do him any damage as the scorpion humanoid monster swung her blade at Connor, who blocked the attack with a quick switch from blaster to baton mode. "Wow, and I thought the Scorpion King was ugly." He taunted. Scorpina growled at him and swung her blade at him, which Connor blocked and parried. "Actually, I take it back. Darth Sidious is much uglier when he gets deformed!"

Izuku felt a bead of sweet dripping down his head. Was Connor really taunting his foe? At a time where they should be focusing on getting to Megazord before the volcano blew? Sometimes he never understood his American friend. Running towards a Quantron, he delivered a strong lariat to the robotic soldier, leapt back a few feet using his quirk, then lined up his fingers for a small Delaware Smash that sent several foot soldiers flying in various directions. "Wow, guess all that training with Connor is really paying off."

TJ punched a Lava Lizard in the chest, then delivered a haymaker to another Lava Lizard, followed by a series of quick sidekicks to a Quantron. "Lan! Heads up!" he shouted to Lan, who was duking it out with several Batlings, unaware that some other Batlings were priming a few grenades.

"Woah!" Lan shouted, his right hand changing into a blaster and fired at the Batlings, causing them to drop the grenades, which exploded at their feet. Treacheron then leapt in with his sword drawn and swung it at Lan, who backed stepped just before the blade could hit him. "Great! I'm dealing with someone with a sword." He groaned.

"You're no ranger, but I'll gladly take you on." Treacheron sneered, holding his sword high above his head. "Those who live by the sword, shall come to their end by the sword." He declared, charging towards Lan who quickly brought up his left arm which shifted into an energy sword crackling with electricity, blocking his blade. "An impressive quirk."

"Thanks! I call this my Electro-Sword." Lan remarked, humbled by his foes remark, then kicked Treacheron's legs out from under him and brought his blade down, but Treacheron backflipped back to his feet and swung his blade, clashing with Lan's blade. "Let's try two swords! Bambo Sword!" he shouted, shifting his right arm into another energy blade, this one being sort of a brown/orange mix. "Let's see how you like this!" he shouted and charged towards Treacheron, swinging both his blades at the monster.

His hands cut down Batling after Batling as Tamaki and Anthony stood back-to-back, surrounded on all sides by Moltor and his lava lizards. "Having swords for hands won't save either of you! You'll meet your end, just like all the other heroes who will…" Moltor began, before a tentacle wrapped around his head, slamming him into the ground, courtesy of Tamaki.

"Do you ever shut up?" Tamaki groaned, using his new animal limb to swipe through the Lava Lizards, knocking them aside like they ragdolls, and not a certain heroine of the same name. "Hey, how about some baseball?"

"Sounds like a plan!" Anthony said, with a thumbs up and drew his blaster, shooting down several foot soldiers, flipping back several times and drawing the enemy into Tamaki's range, who then swiped his tentacle arms at the enemy with such a force, they became stars. "Guess they're blasting off again." The green ranger said with a laugh.

"POWER!" Mirio shouted, diving into the ground with his quirk and emerged directly beneath Furio, delivering a massive uppercut to the monster's chin. "Now I know what Hado was saying, fighting alongside the rangers is a total blast!" Mirio said with a smile, ducking his head down to avoid a swing from Furio's blade.

Mirio countered with an assault of heavy punches, that actually forced Furio into the proverbial conner and was actually making the monster sweat. Furio, however, wasn't about to give up and channeled red lighting through his sword, and swung it sending a shockwave towards Mirio, only for his attack to be blocked by Lena's baton, thwarting the attack. "That's one of the things I hate about you rangers and heroes, you always look out for one another then yourselves." He snarled.

"That's what makes us heroes!" Lena shouted, standing beside Mirio who had a grin on his face.

"Nejire Wave!" Nejire shouted, sending a surge of energy that slammed into multiple foot soldiers. "I am good!" she said with a smirk, only for a burst of energy bolts slammed into her and knocked her to the ground, where Darkonda was ready to impale her with his sword. "Hey! Didn't anyone to treat girls with respect!?" she growled.

"Oh, my mother did. But I didn't listen to her." Darkonda responded, swinging his sword at the downed heroine, who rolled out of the way and got back to her feet. "Say, you got a pretty nice figure. Maybe I need to get a little handsy with you." He told the girl, who glared angrily at the villain.

"You creep! Back off!" she shouted, this time lunging at Darkonda and sucker punched him right in the face. "Nobody touches me and lives to brag about it." she declared, delivering a swift kick to Darkonda's side that sent the monster towards Melissa who swung her baton at the monster's chest, followed by a punch to Darkonda's face, that actually made the bounty hunter bleed.

"Well, this has been fun, but we're out of time. If you manage to survive, you won't survive our next encounter." Darkonda promised, vanishing in a trail of energy, as did the other generals when their foot soldiers failed them.

"Let's move it!" Connor shouted to his friends, then repelled down the crevice to the megazord and entered the cockpit. "Reserve power is up and running. Let's get out of here!"

Leaping into the air, the megazord exited the crevice where the four giant monsters rose up from the ground, ready for another round. "We just need to hold them off! Papa will have the new weapon ready for us soon!" Melissa told the others, as the four monsters launched a series of flame blasts towards the megazord.

Back in town, the first of the evacuation trains was loaded up and ready to leave the station the whistles of the steam engines echoed around. In the first train, Robo Knight stood on the foot plate of the locomotive, blaster in hand as the train slowly but surely moved down the ash covered rails, but still maintained a strong grip on the rails.

As the first train left, Magmavore fired a barrage of fireballs from his chest at the Megazord, while Trifire swung his double-blade at the Megazords chest, and Fireor did the same with his sword, but hit the back of the megazord. Both the rangers and their guests rose their arms up to protect themselves from the sparks that erupted from the damage. Connor groaned in pain, his wound opening up once more, but kept on fighting. "Lasers! Fire!" he shouted and pulled the trigger on his controls, firing the megazords wrist lasers at the monsters, but the shots missed, allowing Ghouligan to use his sword to impale the megazord's chest. "Come on, doc! We need a miracle here!"

Rescue Lab/ Rescue Bay

Working all throughout the night, David, Mondo and Jessica finished replacing the last of the circuit boards for the new super train systems, having gone through multiple cups of coffee to stay awake. "Mint! Status update!"

"Program is ninety-five percent complete. Completion in two minutes." The robot reported.

"Uh-oh! Looks like that brat Olympius got his hands on some powerful fire quirks." Loki reported, his eyes focused on the monitor as Magmavore took a series of quick chops to the chest, while Fireor, Ghouligan and Trifire swung their blades at the damaged megazord. "Hey, Diabolico, you think that Olympius is working with someone who can gather quirks and store them for later? I mean, you did say that Nomu thing the rangers fought at the USJ had multiple quirks."

David's eyes widen in realization. "HOW COULD I BE SO STUPID!?" he shouted, slamming his fists down on the console, just as the program finished. He looked to his companions, who were confused. "I'll tell you later, right now we need to send the weapon to the rangers."

"Agreed. Rail Rescues! Move out!" Mondo shouted and pressed a button on the console.

Ocean

Rising up from the ocean, the tracks for the rail rescues connected themselves to the rescue bay as the doors opened up and revealed the rail rescues. The whistle of the first rail rescue echoed as passengers on a nearby cruise ship watched as the massive trains slowly moved down the tracks. Switches were thrown as the rail rescues coupled to each other, completing the train as it sped down the tracks.

The rail network activated, and more tracks rose up from the ocean as the rail rescues sped towards the harbor of Mariner Bay, whooshing through the city, surprising many a citizen and hero as it sped towards the mountains at top speed.

Screeching to a halt the moment it reached the mountain, sparks erupted from the cockpits of the Lightspeed Megazord as Doctor Tatsumi contacted the rangers. "Rangers! It's time! Break down the megazord. Show these monsters some real power."

"Copy that, doctor." Connor grunted, struggling to push the controls forward but was assisted by his best friend, who was right behind him.

Aero Rescue Three rose up from its position, folded back into place while Pyro Rescue One unscrewed itself from Aqua Rescue Two, which folded downwards allowing Haz Rescue 4 and Med Rescue 5 to fold downwards. All five zords then returned to the Rail Rescues, showing massive amounts of damage.

This time, the rangers and their allies sat in the cockpit of Rail Rescue 3, locking their blaster grips into position as the rail rescues closed up.

Rescue Bay

"Activate Super Train Megazord Launcher!" Mondo told Mint.

"Roger!" Mint replied and did just that.

"You got it!" Jessica shouted.

Angel Lake

(Start Lightspeed Rescue Theme)

"Alright! Rail Rescues! Ahead Full!" Connor said as the rail rescues lurched forwards, causing Lan, Izuku, Nejire, Tamaki and Mirio to almost fall on their butts. Ahead of the rail rescues, the rail network generated a set of railroad tracks that ascended up into the air like a mass driver. "Woah!"

"Looks like something from Gundam!" Izuku exclaimed in surprise, his arms holding onto Connor's seat. Lan did the same with TJ's seat, Tamaki the same with Anthonys, Mirio with Lena's, and Nejire with Melissa's. "Uh, do we have enough speed to make it?"

"We do now!" Connor told his friend, pushing the controls forward activating the boosters on the rear of Rail Rescue 5, increasing the speed of the Rail Rescues while the rangers and their friends gritted their teeth, feeling the acceleration as the trains went up the ramp at full speed. "THIS IS AWESOME!" Connor said as the rail rescues rocketed off the ramp, turning sharply as it's, whistle blew and flew through the air.

"Activating Super Train Megazord mode!" Connor announced.

"Roger!" the other rangers and their friends said, as Connor turned a knob and uncoupled the other Rail Rescues which moved into formation. First, the heads of Rail Rescues 4 and 5 bent forward a hundred and eighty degrees while the front end of Rail Rescue 3 folded upward and the front ends of Rail Rescues 1 and 2 detached and revealed a pair of hands.

Rail Rescues 4 and 5 then connected to the lower half of Rail Rescue 3, while Rail Rescues 1 and 2 connected to the sides of Rail Rescue 3's upper half, as the top of Rail Rescue 3 retracted itself, revealing a red head with two blue lights on the forehead, yellow eyes and gold curves that looked like a set of horns.

"This is…" Lan began.

"Totally…" Mirio continued.

"Amazing!" they shouted together as the newly formed Super Train Megazord touched down on a set of tracks.

"Rangers, this is your new and improved Super Train Megazord." Mondo said over the communicator, as the said megazord skidded along the tracks and through the ash. "Along with the standard weapons, the megazord now has two new weapons."

"I always like new weapons!" TJ said with a grin as the megazord came to a stop in front of the four monsters, who were taken aback by the new machine that stood twice as tall as them.

(End theme)

Magmavore roared like a feral animal, charging towards the megazord as the rangers accessed their weapons.

"Gatling Blasters! Missiles! Ready!" Connor shouted as the front of Rail Rescue 1 spun, and the front of Rail Rescue 2 opened up to reveal a set of missiles. "Targets locked! Liner Homing! Fire!" he shouted and pressed a button. Massive blasts and a swarm of missiles slammed into the charging Magmavore who dropped his club, toppled over and exploded, but something from his body was sent into the ground. "No overload! Hell yes!"

"Let's try the new weapons!" Lena suggested.

"Let's see what we got." Connor said as on his helmets display, the two weapons appeared, one of them was a large and slender sword and the other was a large blaster. "Oh, these look promising. Activate Rail Saber!" he shouted and pressed a button.

From Rail Rescue 4, the hilt of the sword shot out the side and the Super Train Megazord drew its new weapon, holding it high before charging towards Fireor. Fireor tried to counter, but failed and was ultimately destroyed by a single slash from the sword, fell over then exploded. "Woah! This is powerful."

"Our power level must be twelve thousand or something." TJ theorized.

"It's incredible, I'll give you that much." Lan admitted.

"Why don't we try the blaster?" Tamaki suggested.

"Good call, Sunearter." Anthony called out. Sheathing its new weapon, a compartment opened up on Rail Rescue 5 and a large blaster was pulled out, looking like an oversized magnum which the rangers took aim at and fired at Ghouligan. Ghouligan tried to brace himself, but the power of the new weapon proved too much for him as the flame monster fell over and exploded, like the three monsters before him. "Damn, these are some powerful weapons."

"Yeah they…" Connor started to say before he clenched his side in pain, then slumped over the controls, demorphing in the process.

"Connor!" Izuku shouted and helped his friend out of the seat. "Your wound's reopened!" he realized. "Why didn't you say anything?"

"I didn't think it was that bad." Connor said, pressing his hand against his wound to stop the bleeding. "Izuku! Take over."

"W-what?" Izuku stammered in surprise. "W-why me?"

"Because you're a hero. Do it… for your father." Connor replied in pain, just as Trifire fired a burst of energy from his three mouths, but didn't come close to damaging the megazord.

Although reluctant, Izuku took Connors seat and knew what to do. "Switching Weapons!" Izuku announced, pushing the handle forward as the front heads of the first two Rail Rescues attached to the hands, holding up its right fist as energy began to charge up while Trifire readied himself for another attack.

"Raging fists, call upon the firestorm! Grand Storm! Fire!" everyone shouted as Izuku moved the control around, punching Trifire in the chest with the right hand before another barrage of missiles from the left hand slammed into Trifire, who then exploded.

"Way to go guys!" Connor grunted through the pain, then looked to the volcano. "Hey, doc, do we have anything to stop the volcano?"

"Yes. The new cooling missiles. Go to the crater and fire them. They are the only way to stop the volcano and return it to its natural state." Mondo told the rangers.

"Sounds cool." Mirio joked as the megazord raised its left arm and opened up, allowing Izuku to fire the missiles. The missiles slammed into the core of the volcano, freezing the entire mountain as the pressure dropped rapidly, sending the lava back down to where it belongs, making the volcano extinct once more.

Mountain Side

No one realized that melted streams and volcanic mud had turned rivers and streams into torrents and one of the railroad bridges that crossed the major was about to collapse as a massive number of logs slammed into one of the supports. The rails were now a like a tight rope across the thundering water.

The only who did notice this, was Koragg who called upon Catastros to form the Centaurus Wolf Megazord, propped the bridge up with the same pillar that supported it and used his magic to reattach the piece just as the train roared out of the tunnel and crossed the bridge, unaware of what Koragg had done. "Consider that, my deed for this event." Koragg said before vanishing.

By the time the train reached Fairview, Connor and the others were already in the town, waiting as Weston and his associates were taken off the train. "Dad!" Lan called out the moment he saw his dad. "Where were you? You missed everything!"

"I know what you did, son and I'm proud of you. But you and I both know that my work is important, considering my job as an agent." Frank told his son.

"Something you want to tell us?" Nighteye asked when he stepped off the train.

"Frank Benson. FBI. I've been assigned to track down Weston's activities for the last few months when we received word, he was involved with Humarise. I've been scouting the mountain for Humarise activity and gathered enough evidence to put him away for the rest of his life." Frank answered as two FBI vehicles rolled up and loaded Derric and his cohorts into them, then drove away as National Guardsmen and Silver Guardians set about helping the injured. "Can't believe all this was done for oil."

"They didn't want the oil." Nighteye said grimly. "Humarise was after something else, but what I don't know." He then turned to Connor. "I am grateful, that the Red Ranger chose justice instead of vengeance. The world needs more heroes like them."

Skull Cavern

"Well, it looks like the rangers really helped us out this time. We now have a body to give that warrior when the time is right." Ivan said with glee, drinking a drink of some kind. "And, we know they have an improved megazord. This is going to be interesting." He chuckled.

And finished. What do you all think about this chapter?

Seems that Humarise wanted to get their hands on ranger technology, but failed to recruit the two most promising scientists who knew the most about it, and had them killed, giving Connor his hatred for quirks and heroes when he was a kid, but thanks to Izuku, Connor didn't choose revenge and Nejire helped Connor remind him of the reason he became a ranger. Am I the only one predicting another date with those two in the future?

Anyway, who is this warrior that Ivan spoke of and what is the enemy planning? I know the answers, but I won't spoil anything.

The new weapons of the Super Train Megazord are based on the Star Saber from Transformers Prime and 'Hot Shot's' blaster from Transformers Energon. I've been in a Transformers mood lately.

Well, next time it's time for the Sports Festival, so until then, please read and review. Don't expect any ranger action for the next couple of chapters.
