Chapter 5 Enjoy

Momo felt guilty getting so caught up in shopping. If she had been more vigilant, Izuku wouldn't have gone through his encounter with Tomura Shigaraki.

She sits outside in the police station headquarters, waiting for Izuku's questioning to be over.

The officers told Momo she wasn't needed since Izuku was the only one involved. It was when Tsukauchi showed up that they let her come with them.

She isn't alone. Beside her is Inko, wiping tears from her eyes.

"Sorry I wasn't there to help him," she said softly.

"You had no way of knowing Momo. The fact you are here with me waiting on Izuku speaks volumes of your character!" she said, wiping away her tears. Hearing those words turned Momo's frown into a smile.

Fortunately, their waiting ended when they saw the door open. Izuku and Officer Tsukauchi walked with them. He led them all outside to get me fresh air. That's when Toshinori finally showed up.

"Sorry for being late!" he said with a heavy sigh before trading words with his disciple.

"Time to head home. You need a ride, Momo?" Izuku asked.

"If it is not a problem," she said with a sheepish smile, getting chuckles from everyone.

As Momo watches Izuku and his mother drive away, she silently vows to be a more significant part of his life.

A week later, everyone gathered at School for the week-long training camp. Once the buses arrived, they managed to get in first, allowing them to grab the bus seat for themselves.

Izuku was oblivious to their closeness while pink dusting Momo's cheeks. It didn't help that Mina glanced at the two of them.

When the bus finally stopped, they got a fantastic view of the forest below. The break came to an abrupt end after getting knocked off the cliff by one of the pussy cats. That's when the real test began.

Izuku, Tenya, Shoto, and Bakugo spearheaded their assault on the endless waves of the earthen beast during that five-hour training session. The three of them proved invaluable when it came to the rock monsters.

Momo and the remaining students took on the next wave. With unmatched aggression, class 1-A tore through wave after wave, heading toward the training camp.

The first test started at 9:30, and they cleared the distance needed to travel in under four hours.

With the first of many tests done, they enjoyed the first night with a good dinner and ended the night enjoying the hot springs. Then Mineta decided to use his quirk to get a peek at the girls. His plan was thwarted by Kota, who was saved from hitting the ground by Izuku.

Mom heard all the commotion from the women's section. She hoped Kota wasn't hurt after defending their honor.

Momo snuck out while everyone was sleeping peacefully, meeting Izuku on the roof.

"Is Kota alright?" she said, sitting beside him."

"Yeah, he passed out just as I caught him. He's inside resting. Apparently, he is not a fan of heroes." Momo faced him with wide eyes.

Mom jumped down to the ground, followed by Izuku. The two walked a fair distance away, getting into a sparring stance.

Not too far away, the line male member of the pussy cats silently watches them with Aizawa next to him.

"You weren't kidding about those two Eraserhead,"

"When have I ever,"

"I'm amazed you're letting them get away with this,"

"From what I've gathered on them, this is a regular ritual between them,"

"I see." they silently watched them hone their combat skill for an hour before calling it a night.

When morning finally came, the actual training began for both classes.

After seeing Izuku's Late night training session, the male pussy cat decided to make a small change to his training.

He made strength quirk users focus on strength training, which amounted to calisthenics. Izuku's main exercise is handstand push-ups. Many of the female classmates would occasionally look his way. The biggest offender of this is Momo. Thankfully, she learned to focus on her training.

When night finally came, both classes worked together to prepare dinner. Izuku noticed Kota walking into the forest by himself. Not liking the kid being by himself, he followed him.

The training camp was smooth sailing till the villain showed up during a nighttime exercise.

Izuku took off into the woods alone to ensure Kota was safe. Unfortunately, he had to face off against the man who killed Kota's parents.

At the cost of his arm, Izuku saves Kota and stops the muscle-bound villain. After getting the boy to safety, the heroes and teens begin their counterattack.

As Izku heads off to find Bakugou, his mind drifts to Momo, hoping she'll get to safety quickly.

Unfortunately for Momo, of all the villains to run across, she gets the raw end of the villain's assault. She faces down the nomu. She silently thanks all the training she has done with Izuku.

She can dodge and counter the Nomu assault with a staff strong enough to hold off the monster chainsaw arm.

She wishes Class 1-B Yosetsu could help her, but he needs to have the combat experience she has.

With every attack from his arms, she counters. It took a few close calls to analyze the monster attack pattern. It charges using one arm at a time before taking a moment to reset. She uses that small window to get some distance.

Little did the monster know Momo was circling the beast as she produced her tiny explosive russian dolls.

She backflips away before charging the monster again, activating her staff's hidden ability.

Twisting her staff in her hand, she slid to the ground, forcing the end into the monster's gut and channeling high-voltage electricity. To her joy, the creature was paralyzed enough for her to push it to the ground.

Quickly she made some distance, activating the russian doll explosives. Knowing the creature wouldn't go down that easy, she held her staff in a defensive position.

The creature stomped towards her at full speed before stopping abruptly to turn around and walk away.

She quickly created a tracking device. "Yosetsu, quickly weld this to the monster. We can't let it get away!"

He grabs the device and plants it on the creature's back. They can only watch as it walks away.

"Damn Yaoyorozu, I doubt I'd be able to hold off that monster this long."

"Thanks, but I can't take all the credit. I doubt I could have held out this long without sparring sessions with a dear friend."

Yosetsu has a good idea who that friend is but decides to keep it private since there are still more villains to deal with.

Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the villain got away with Bakugo in their clutches.

Mono didn't even bother hiding her concern for Izuku's mental state. As soon as they returned home, she headed straight to the hospital to ensure he was ok.

She sits with his mother on the side of his bed with a few stray tears, looking at Inko. She was not much better.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be there to help him!" she said aloud, internally berating herself because she wasn't there to help him fight against Muscular. Izuku nearly lost his arm, bringing him down.

"you have nothing to be sorry about, Momo. From what you told me, you had your hands full on your end."

Just then, Izuku stirred awake; looking at his surroundings, he was in a hospital bed, both arms covered in bandages. He tried to sit up, but the pain forced him to stay down.

"Izuku!" the two said in unison, getting his attention.

"Mom, Momo, is everyone ok?"

Momo brought him up to speed on what happened after the villain got away. He tried to get back up but was cut short when Momo slapped him.

"Izuku, did you not hear me! We just got back from the training camp, and several of our classmates are injured, not counting Bakugo's kidnapping along with one of the pussy cats. You need to lie down and rest!" she said with fire in her eyes. Color started leaving Izuku's face from her tone before ultimately complying with her reasoning.

"Sorry to snap at you like that. I've been worried sick ever since I faced off against the nomu!" Momo sighed. Just then, her stomach went off, causing her to blush.

"Have you eaten at all since I got here, Momo?" She looked away as her stomach rumbled again.

Inko didn't even try to hide her smile. Watching them reminded her of how she was Izuku's father.

"Momo, let Izuku get some rest while we go eat!" she didn't give Momo a chance to respond as she dragged the girl out of his hospital room.

As soon as they left, Izuku's thoughts went straight to Bakugo. He hoped they could get him back more quickly, but that would have to wait. His eyes felt heavy, forcing him to go back to sleep.

When he finally woke again, he saw Momo and his mother sleeping in chairs. Momo's eyes are the first to flutter open. She takes a quick stretch before seeing Izuku awake.

"Have you guys been waiting on me All Night!"

"Yeah," she said with a sheepish smile. Izuku can only nod from side to side shortly after his mother wakes up. Inko stays with her son for another hour before reluctantly heading home.

A distant look took over Izuku's face as he stepped out the window. His mom realized instantly where his head had gone.

"It's going to be ok. Izuku will get Bakugou back from the League of Villains!" Momo gives him a reassuring smile.

"I assume they don't sink their claws in him before we can save him," he said with a hardened gaze shared with Momo.

Mom left to get some breakfast only to return with the remaining members of Class 1-A

Thanks to the Momo tracker device, Izuku, Shoto, Tenya, Kirishima, and Momo set out to save Bakugo.
