Chapter 6 enjoy

Using his planning to its full effect, the five teens swooped in and saved Bakugo, allowing All Might to finish All for One.

Shoto can only watch the street screens as All Might point to the camera.

"Now it's your turn!"

Looking at Momo, he sees tears running down her cheeks. He has no idea of the promise she made to All Might.

Her promise to the number one hero replayed in her head repeatedly.

"When One for All finally leaves me, It will be Izuku's turn to be the symbol of peace. I want you to be by his side and help him reach his goal however possible."

"I promise All Might," she whispered to herself.

"You say something?" Shoto asked.

"It's not important." Shoto knew she was hiding something but decided not to pry further.

They eventually met with the others before taking Bakugo to the nearest police station before heading home.

Despite staying up all night to save their classmate, neither Izuku nor Momo could sleep, even after taking Bakugo to the police station.

Momo quickly deduced where Both Toshinori and Izuku would be after sundown. She headed to the beach without letting anyone know, ensuring Izuku didn't have to bear his burden alone.

Sure enough, she sees the two standing on the beach.

"Wondered when you would show up!" Toshinori shouted.

"Figure you guys needed a moment," she said, walking up to them.

"Tell him he deserves to know," the blonde elder urged. Getting a look of confusion from Izuku.

"All Might made me promise to help you reach your goal when One for All finally leaves him," she said with a nervous grin. Izuku starts chuckling when he hears this.

"Anyone ever tells you you have a bad habit of forcing people into difficult situations!"

"Many times, Izuku, Many times!" His two students chuckle and giggle, respectively.

Izuku laughed so much that he collapsed to the sand before sitting up. Momo wasn't much better.

Toshinori decided to give the two some space. He silently watched them from the parking lot.

Eventually, the laughter ended. As much as Izuku wanted to laugh it off, the weight of the torch All Might passed to him returned. Tears started to form on the edge of his eyes.

That is when he felt Momo clutch his left arm, resting her head on his shoulder.

"It's going to be okay, Izuku. You don't have to bear this burden alone!" she said with a reassuring smile and a few stray tears herself.

A small smile formed on his face before he let out a yawn. "With how much has happened since yesterday, I haven't gotten a single ounce of sleep." Unable to hold off the nocturnal haven any longer, he fell back, taking Momo with him.

"Sorry, I'm too tired."

"Same here." the weight on their eyes finally won as they drifted Into a deep sleep.

Toshinori can only chuckle at this before he sends Inko a picture of the two sitting on the beach. A minute later, she texted back.

"Keep an eye on them. I'm not ready to be a grandparent!"

"No objections here."

He goes to his car, pulls out a beach chair, and sets it up a fair distance away from the two teens, intending to get some sleep.

When morning finally arrived, Momo was the first to wake up.

When her eyes fluttered open, she noticed she wasn't in her bed at home. Instead, it was a beach—not just any beach, their beach. Looking around, she saw a sleeping Izuku. She's been using his chest as a pillow, and his left arm is wrapped around her back. Her blush rivaled Krishima's hair color.

She caught a break when his left arm fell flat. She stealthily separated from him.

"About time you woke up," she let out a small squeak as Toshinori approached her.

"Have we been sleeping at the beach all Night?"

"Yes, your phone has been blowing up periodically throughout the night," he said, yawning.

Momo pulled out her phone to see a dozen missed calls and 50 text messages from her parents.

She took a moment to prepare herself mentally for the phone call with her parents.

"Hello, mom."

"Oh, thank god, Momo, you're Alive!"

"Sorry for worrying you. After what happened yesterday, a friend didn't want to be alone for the night."

"You should have told us immediately instead of disappearing out of the blue like that!

Mother and daughter exchanged words back and forth over the phone for a solid five minutes before ending with, "Love you and see you soon." Momo sighed now that her exhausting phone call was over.

By this time, Izuku was finally waking up. He repeated Momo, getting used to his surroundings.

"About time you woke up," Toshinori repeated, standing overhead.

Momo held her hand out, pulling her friend back to his feet.

"Shoot, Mom's not going to be happy for being out all night," he said, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"I got you covered. I told Inko you need time to think over everything that's happened over the past two days." Izuku lets out a sigh of relief before doing his morning stretches.

"Feel like jogging, Momo?"

"Do you even need to ask!" Not a moment later, she took off with Izuku following behind her.

"Kids these days," he said as we looked at the picture he sent Inko. One shows them sitting beside each other, and the other shows the two cuddling in their sleep. Inko responded with a heart emoji for both images, following up with a text.

"They grow up so fast!"

After half an hour of jogging, they stopped by a diner for a much-needed breakfast.

As they waited for their food, a thought came to Izuku.

"I guess we can stop hiding our friendship from the others," he said, causing the girl to giggle.

"I would like that." Unbeknownst to them, a member of class 1-A is silently watching them from afar.

As they wait for their food, Izuku's mind goes over the revelation of the Promise Momo made.

"Momo."

"Yeah?"

"You promised to help me reach my goal, but it's only fair that I make the same promise to you!" This shocked Momo into silence.

"I'm gonna hold you to it!" she giggled. Just then, their food arrived. Once finished, Momo paid for their meals and left.

"Since I've met your mother, it's only fair you finally get to meet mine!" The two walked side by side to Momo's home.

Once at the entrance, Izuku took in the view before Momo opened the front gates and led him in.

"Mom, I'm home, and I brought a friend!" A moment later, a woman whose Momo carbon copy stepped into the front parlor.

Her eyes landed on the green-haired boy at her side. He wasn't here when Mom tutored a few of her classmates.

"Is this the boy you talk about? We've never met," she said with a mischievous grin. Momo's cheeks turned bright red before she turned to Izuku. She tried to find the words to refute her mother's words but came up empty. Izuku just chuckled at this.

"Guilty as charged. Momo has been a great training partner. Her insight is invaluable whenever I'm stuck on a problem," he said with a reassuring grin.

"I don't want to hold you two. I'll be in my office if you need me, Momo," she said, leaving the room.

Momo gave Izuku a tour of her family mansion, ending with a larger room than his family apartment.

"Believe it or not, I've scaled back. I used to have a king bed but have made it a queen-sized bed," she said nervously.

"What were you telling your parents about me?" he said with an amused expression.

"You helped me realize my shortcomings in many ways, especially after our sparring session, which helped keep the nomu occupied long enough for the villains to call it off!"

"That reminds me, I keep forgetting to change my hero costume after you pointed out the rabbit ears need to go," he said

"I think I have pencils and papers around here somewhere." she quickly rummaged through various draws around her room before finding them,

Izuku went to work redesigning his mask, and as Momo watched, it got her thinking about her hero costume, too.

He used a simple hood and redid the jaw piece to cover his nose for now. He wants it to be intimidating and friendly so civilians aren't put off by him.

Seeing his redesigns and full cowling ability made Momo reconsider his costume.

"I should have clarified the rabbit ear as it is. It should go. I'm sure a better look will come to you soon."

"That's why I'm going with a simple hood for now. What about your costume?"

"I thought about having...my upper back exposed for larger creations."

"That wouldn't be a bad idea. I heard you ruined your costume, insulating yourself from Kaminari at the USJ."

Momo glanced at his still-recovering arm, then remembered his plan to rescue Bakugo. Specifically, he used his leg and Iida's quirk for a speed boost.

"Have you considered using your legs in attacks? Human legs are stronger than our arms!" Izuku pondered her words for a few minutes.

"It's not a bad idea. I've been thinking of getting reinforcements for my arms, and it wouldn't hurt to get my legs reinforced, too."

"Looks like we'll have to stop by the support course when we head back to school,"

"No arguments here," he stayed at Momo's place till dinner before heading home.

Because of the villain attack, classes 1-A and 1-B finished the training camp at school.

Now that Izuku is the sole wielder of One for All, their promise to always be there for each other changes everything.

Usually, the two would try to keep their distance from each other when possible during school.

Now that's changed, the first step is walking through the U.A. entrance side by side. This extends to entering the homeroom together.
