Chapter 3 – Taken
At 1:30 in the morning, Chichi tossed and turned in her bed as she couldn't get comfortable in her bed as it felt empty without Goku, she never did enjoy sleeping on her own, she liked to cuddle with her husband. Who she hoped would come home soon and spend some time with the family. She huffed out frustration to sleep and sat up in her bed and got to her feet. She headed downstairs but before the she quietly opened the door to Goten's room to check he was sleeping and softly smiled. He looked to peaceful. She then headed downstairs to grab a glass of water. She filled up her glass and looked out the window looking up into the midnight sky as she drank her water. She hoped this would help get her back to sleep.
'*Sigh* I'll be glad if I can get some sleep tonight. Just nod off and dream and wake up refreshed.' She said to herself as she took a sip of her drink.
'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'
'Huh?' Chichi heard strange sonar radar noise that was very high pitched and it pierced through her ears and suddenly…. everything went black for her. Chichi's eyes turned yellow and her body stiffened as she dropped the glass as it smashed over the floor. She was in a trance!

Chichi heard the Angelic Voice and was drawn to the words as it kept repeating the rhyme. Like a lullaby. Chichi was no longer in control of her body, like it been controlled by the power in the voice. She walked towards the door, opened it and walked outside…..

Meanwhile at the same time, Bulma was also having trouble sleeping and had decided to do some work in her lab, she normally did this sorta thing when she had trouble sleeping and lately she had much trouble. She wish Vegeta would come home soon, there was a lot to discuss with him. She worked on one of her experiments as she mixed some vials of formula with the other and writing up her work in her notes.
'I'll be glad to get this over and done with. But more so if I can just get this matter off my chest as soon as my so called sayien husband gets home.' She said to herself as she continued to mix the vials together and had a look of concentration on her face.
'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'
Like Chichi, the radar sound pierced through Bulma's ears and suddenly her mind also went blank, her eyes turning yellow and her body being taken over by a mysterious force. The vial she held smashed over the floor as she left her lab and walked to the door outside, hearing the voice call to her like it did with Chichi.

Goten woke up to the sound of glass smashing the floor and looked around his room, he wondered what that noise was and sensed something in the area, something threatening. He opened his curtain to open the window to look outside and looked around the area, and there walking out into the night was his mother, wearing her night clothes and nothing on her feet. it was strange. She had never walked outside with no shoes on, she always said it can cause a cold. Suddenly there in the middle of the field a bright light shined down on the grass as it was a beam to another location, and his mother was walking right into it, willingly. Goten panicked and gasped
'WAIT MOM COME BACK!' Goten roared but his mother couldn't hear him, though he didn't know her mind was locked in a hypnosis of the voice still trapped in her mind telling her to follow it. Her body had completely betrayed her. Goten flew out of his bedroom window and towards his mother to help her but as soon as his mother stepped into the beam….she disappeared! Goten landed on the ground and looked at his surroundings at where his mother had gone but he wasn't able to sense her! He panicked! He panted in worry and flew around the mountain's forest but no luck! His mother would never her walked into that light willingly. Something was wrong and he feared the worst! She had been kidnapped!
'Oh no no! Momma where are you!?' he then cried as he feared for his mother's safety, and how he wished his dad was home too. That's when he thought there was only one other place he could go for help. Gohan's! Like a rocket! Goten flew to his brother's house, unaware that what had just happened to his own mother, was happening to his best friend's mother too!

Trunks Was awake to grab some midnight snacks when he heard the smashing sound from his mother's lab, he wondered if she had an accident and decided to go help. He looked in the lab to see his mother was not there but the floor showed spillages of acids and minerals which left the young fighter confused, his mother wouldn't leave the lab in such a state. It was hazardous. He then Sensed something, something bad and it was no coincidence. Trunks looked outside the window of the lab and saw a bright light shining down into his garden and there walking towards it was his mother! He could see her eyes, they were bleak and transfixed by something! She was hypnotized! Trunks panicked and bursted out of the lab window and flew down to recover his mother but the beam wouldn't let Trunks pass! It knocked him back into the house wall and knocked him down! it was a force field as well as a beam! He looked on in horror as his mother was able to walk into it and look up at the light and get taken away into the night!
'MOM NOOOOO!' Trunks yelled as he ran towards it but it was too late, the light was gone, and so Was Bulma! He looked up at the sky to sense an alien spaceship but whatever it was able to cloak itself and any living creature that took his mother was able to hide their power levels! Trunks punched the wall in anger and hoped his dad would have been home by now, he knew he needed to make contact with him now! But to do that he needed some help! And so without having to think twice, he decided to fly to Goten's. Together they could work to get their fathers back on earth And help!

Goten landed at Gohan's and began pounding on the door.
'GOHAN! GOHAN OPEN THE DOOR! IT'S AN EMERGANCY! GOHAN! OPEN THE DOOR! IT'S ME! PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR!' His constant yelling and pounding on the door eventually woke his elder brother out of his slumber and went to answer the door, still half asleep and frustrated from the noise
'Goten! What are you doing here!? It's the middle of the night!' he said
'Gohan its Mom! She's Gone!' Goten cried as Gohan looked his brother confused and now awake!
'Gone? What do you mean she's gone!?' Gohan asked Goten began to cry cause he was afraid for his mother. Gohan brought his little brother into the house as he sat him down in the kitchen, then from upstairs, Videl walked into the Kitchen Holding baby pan in her arms.
'What is going on?' she asked
'I'm trying to find out, Goten what happened?' Gohan asked concerned
'She…there was…and I tried…but she…. I wasn't fast….. it just…..' Goten panted in a panic, Videl gave the baby to Gohan and crouched to Goten's level
'Goten! Deep breathes, and start again. Breathe in' she inhaled in as did he 'And breathe out' she breather out as did he 'One more time….. breathe in…. and breath out again' Goten had stopped crying but still sad but he was feeling a little calmer 'Better?' she asked as he nodded 'Good, now slowly explain, what happened and we'll do our best to help okay?' she asked as he cleared his throat.
'I woke up and I saw this bright light outside my window, it was shining down into the field and mom just walked to it, like she was hypnotized, I tried to call out to her but she didn't react to my voice! I tried to stop her from going into the beam but i…she was gone! I can't sense her Gohan it's like she just vanished out of reach' Goten said as Gohan handed the baby to Videl and looked to his brother
'It'll be okay Goten. We'll find her! Now can you tell us anything about the beam?'
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!*
Constant pounding on the front door made the brothers jump, Videl held onto pan tight as Gohan answered the door to a familiar little face
'Trunks!?' Gohan gasped
'I went to Goten's but I sensed he was here! Please Gohan you have to help me!' Trunks pleaded as Gohan grew more concerned
'Trunks what happened?' Goten asked
'Its my mom! She's Gone! She walked outside! And there was this bright beam and she just walked into it and then she was gone! I can't sense her to help her and I'm worried about her! We have to help her!'
'Mom was taken too! That's why I came here!' Goten said as trunks looked confused
'So something took both our moms?!' Trunks asked as Goten nodded
'Gohan…. What do you think it is?' Videl asked as Gohan frowned
'I'm not sure…. But it can't be friendly, you said Mom and Bulma walked into it? Willingly?' Gohan asked
'Yeah, it was like they were not controlling themselves, like someone was pulling them along, and their eyes looked bleak' Trunks answered
'Like a trance?' Videl asked
'Yeah! I've never seen mom like that before!' Goten said
'This is bad, whatever did this, must be using some strong power to control minds like our moms. They're the most strong-willed people we know.'
'So what do we do brother?' Goten asked
'There's only one thing you can do' a voice called from behind them as a familiar face entered the kitchen
'Piccolo!' Goten cheered
'What's that?' Gohan asked
'If you can't sense these beings that took Chichi and Bulma, perhaps there will be those who can' Piccolo said as Gohan understood
'We gotta call our dads'
'But if we can't sense their ki. What difference will it make if Dad and Vegeta do it?' Goten asked as Gohan looked to Videl, He knew there would be one way.
The bond.
He never understood when he was a kid, but there were times that his mum and dad would look at each other, it was as if they would talk through their minds, he thought it was silly but on the night of his wedding, when he bonded with Videl. It was as if he felt everything about her, could speak to her when he was wasn't there, could feel when she was in danger. And all of that happened that night when he bit her neck and marked her as his own. The mark of a sayien mate. Videl gave him a soft smile as her turned to his brother.
'Trust me Little Brother, they'll be able to. We gotta get them back on earth!'
'How are we gonna do that? They've been gone for 2 months and They're not gonna be back for another 3 months! Who knows what will happen to our moms then!?' Trunks huffed frustrated and anxious.
'We have to get their attention, or at least Whis's attention' Piccolo said as everyone looked to Videl who rolled her eyes and nodded
'I'll get cooking' She said as she took Pan back to bed
'Good, cause the sooner we get them back here, the sooner we can save our moms' Gohan said
'I just hope their okay' Goten said worryingly and looked up into the night sky. 'Hang Tight Mom, We'll save. Us and Dad.'
