We return to MGRI, where Kirk Langstrom is staying up late working on lab reports, the room completely encased in darkness with only the light of his computer brightening the room as a storm waves heavily outside rain rapping against the windows. "May I come in?" Francine asked, as elegant as a coo of a thousand doves, "No, I don't mind." Kirk retorted in a lighthearted manner. Francine walked over with a folder tucked neatly in her arms, as she laid down the folder onto her husband's desk she looked at him with worry, she wanted to tell Kirk something but before she could get a word out a loud crashing sound interrupted her train of thought.
Kirk jolted out of his seat, his head turning towards the origin of the sound, as Kirk exited the room, he started to hear the sound of items clattering onto the floor from the room above, and with that, he rushed to the stairs to stop whoever or whatever was invading the institute. Francine followed Kirk as he bolted to the stairs wanting to stop the intruder, as he made it to the top floor the clattering sounds diminished, replaced by an eerie silence only broken up by the pouring of the storm outside.
The hallway was pitch black and lonely, the only source of light coming from the lightning outside before delivering a booming force of sound, as Kirk and Francine searched for whoever or whatever was breaking, Kirk armed himself with a broom from the nearby closets. Opening the first door he was met with a destroyed lab. The window and wall had been destroyed leaving a giant hole in its place, rain poured into the room as heavy winds caused papers to fly all over the place getting wet and effectively destroying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of research.
Shards of glass littered the floor, monitors had been smashed to pieces revealing circuitry and boards, tables were turned upside down and their legs bent, Kirk Marvelled at the shear destruction in front of him, Francine searched around the room as she came across the room next to it which contained the Freezer Room. The Metal door had been torn off by its hinges, as she went in closer she heard a large slurping sound from the Freezer Room, going in for a closer look she was met with a harrowing sight, the Man-Bat. It was hunched over eating a collection of frozen rats, her face turned white as she saw the beast devour the creatures in a matter of seconds, shaking the blood out of the animals before quietly sneaking away.
"CRUNCH!" Francine stepped on a beaker breaking it instantly, the Man-Bat stopped its feast, and Francine froze in place as the beast slowly turned its head around, blood slathered across its snout as it bellowed out a low snarl. Slowly the beast stood up its wings on the ground like a gorilla, as it walked over to Francine, her face in shock and terror as the creature cornered her. The beast began circling her, sniffing her, Francine felt her heartbeat in her chest almost as if it were begging to get out, the beast stopped sniffing and closed in onto Francine's face, looking at her with a burrowing gaze with bloodshot yellow eyes directly into her soul.
The Man-Bat began to suddenly cough violently as blood was dispersed from its mouth and onto Francine's lab coat, she watched in horror as the Man-Bat began to twitch and spasm uncontrollably whilst puking up litres of blood. The beast shrieked in pain as it gagged, and its teeth began to fall out of its mouth, Kirk rushed to Francine after hearing the shriek only to find her up against the wall as the Man-Bat lay in front of her feet howling in anguish.
"Francine! Francine! Are you ok?" Kirk yelled out as he rushed towards his wife panic gripping his every word, Francine was still in shock as blood spilled from her lab coat onto Kirk's, he looked on in absolute shock and terror at the sight of the amount of blood on Francine. "It's not what you think, it's not my blood!" Francine responded in a hurried tone, Kirk looked on in a fretted yet puzzled emotion, as the Man-Bat continued to roar from its suffering, its teeth falling out by the dozens onto the floor in perfect condition.
The Man-Bat began to shrink in size as bones snapped into place, the leather of its wings disappearing into the skin, while the fur began to shed, locks began falling to the floor as the Man-Bat began to thrash around the room narrowly missing Kirk and Francine. Its pointed ears shrank and became more rounded. At the same time, the snout shrivelled into the face, the hunch disappeared into the back as they heard the bones and muscles shred and fracture in seconds, and the arms became human-like and skinny, as the legs twisted and bent in unnatural directions.
As the transformation drew its end the beast that had appeared so foreign and so animal became more human. As the bones snapped back into place, the once towering figure became more petite and skinny, the face rounded as the hair unnaturally shifted colours, transmuting from a dark brown and black fur to a mop of green hair casting shadows on itself. The screeching wails of the torment of the Man-Bat became human as the sound of blood gurgling mixed in with the screams as the last remnants of the snout transitioned into a human face.
When all was said and done the Langstroms eyed in dismay and disbelief as the being so massive and daunting had transformed into the short and youthful Izuku, he stumbled around not even half-awake letting out a soft moan of pain before collapsing to the ground. "Oh my god! Izuku!" Francine uttered as she quailed at the sight of Izuku's sudden and agonising transformation, she lowered herself to the ground kneeling at Izuku's head as she placed her ear near his mouth, "He's not breathing!" She yelled out in distress, Kirk stood before the disturbing sight, his words became stuck in his throat as he shivered in place watching the horrifying creature turn into the loving and brilliant Izuku before his very eyes.
"Kirk, call an ambulance!" Francine screamed in turmoil as she cradled Izuku in her hands, blood oozing from his mouth onto the cold wet floors, Francine was filled with distraught as Izuku's body lay unresponsive, as Kirk snapped out of his horrified trance he began to gather his bearings before uttering, "Francine try giving Izuku CPR until the ambulance gets here!" He suggested worryingly as his body trembled and his voice quaked as fear tore into his mind like a polar bear to its prey shredding Kirk to pieces as he hurried back to his lab to grab his phone.
As Kirk looked for his phone back in the lab Francine began performing CPR on Izuku; she put her hands on Izuku's cold clammy chest, beginning to pump his chest over and over. The storm continued to rage outside as rain fell on the windows with such intensity and power that each pitter and patter sounded closer to echoes of rocks falling down a metal slide each banging and bouncing around with its mission. Meanwhile, Kirk searched for his phone, his head turning violently, bolting to the light switch. Kirk turned on the light, and the room lit up flickering to life, almost blinding Kirk with the sudden change.
As he frantically searched for his phone, Francine continued to give Izuku chest compressions, her hands trembling against his frigid chest, her face filled with sorrow as she struggled to awaken from his slumber, tears welled up in her eyes as she felt a mixture of emotions ranging from despair to self-loathing, and from agony to hysteria. "I-Izuku! WAKE UP! PLEASE!" Francine screamed out desperately, her voice brimming with terror pleading for Izuku's safety. The Lab downstairs was being torn up as Kirk searched for his phone sending various items flying off the desks with barbaric agility and strength as each moment he took looking for the phone Izuku could face dire consequences. Tearing up the lab Kirk left no stone unturned, Kirk began panicking as everywhere he looked his phone was nowhere to be seen, he racked his mind to figure out where he left his phone rushing his mind to remember where he left it last.
Suddenly he was hit with a freight train of realisation as he saw the phone from across the next desk over, sprinting towards the desk he picked up the phone turning it on only for his heart to sink as a large battery icon appeared on his screen with a red slice filling one-fourth of the icon. His hands tightened on the phone, his thumbs digging deep into the buttons, his hands almost cracking the phone. As he growled hot air escaped his gritted teeth grinding, seething from head to toe, his face flushing with a crimson colour, whilst his veins began bulging out from his forehead and hands.
Kirk was flaming with a mixture of emotions ranging from anger and anxiousness to exasperation and regret, he felt useless in the heat of the action as he ran back out into the hallway and descended another flight of stairs to the entrance of the institute to a conference room to use the corded landline phone. Kirk's heart was beating heavily in his chest as he made it to the phone, dialling for the ambulance, the phone began ringing in his ear as he waited with bated breath. As the storm outside began to hail ice the size of golf balls smashing across the glass, accompanied by the howling of the winds.
Shattering the dark sky were the brief cackles of lightning lighting up the night, it had no rhyme or pattern, its destruction sporadic as its bolts landed close to the institute leaving behind smoking craters in the pavement. Suddenly someone answered Kirk on the phone but before he could answer or make a noise, everything cut out as lightning destroyed the telephone poles and power lines with sparks and wood soaring through the air, and the entire building lost power. Kirk felt a level of frustration he had never felt before as his patience was being worn thin.
Francine cried as she continued compressing Izuku's chest and he began to spew up more blood from his mouth like a fountain, Francine stopped compressing his chest as she turned Izuku on his side, tipping out as much blood from his airway. Pinching his nose Francine opened Izuku's mouth and began giving him mouth to mouth, blood filled her mouth as she pressed her mouth against his, Francine's mouth was covered in blood. She was overcome with feelings of nausea as she wretched from the metallic and salty buttery taste covering her taste buds. Her head became dizzy as a pounding sensation accompanied her as a cough crept its way up her chest, each cough created the feeling of a thousand sharp knives stabbing into her head. Her elbows and knees were throbbing from the repetitive chest compressions and the cold tile floor, but she refused to give up.
Kirk returned to his wife with sweat dripping from his forehead and his white lab coat soaked and stained, his breath slow and heavy, his feet quick and nimble as he felt them swell in his shoes from the constant back-and-forth running, almost slipping along the floor. A large white box with a red cross on it appeared in the room's door frame, "Francine the phone's dead and the powers out!" He spoke with an alarming amount of woe and short breath, "But I got the emergency first aid kit!" He said as he kneeled to Izuku wiping away the blood from his mouth and then Francine's.
Kirk watched in trepidation and grief as Izuku's breathing began to stabilise as what seemed to be the last of the blood in his mouth shot out like a geyser, Francine gave Izuku one last press to his chest, Izuku began gasping for air and coughing as Francine and Kirk looked on in a shocked relief as Francine cradled Izuku in her arms. Tears welled up in her eyes as Kirk comforted her "Izuku will be alright sweetheart and everything's gonna be fine." Kirk tried to reassure her but he was unsure if everything was going to be ok, he looked at Francine's teary-eyed gaze as he hugged with everything he had.
"Izuku. Izuku. Wake up Izuku." The low baritone voice had returned in a calm yet mocking tone this time, "What's the matter Izuku? Is the relentlessness of the soul-crushing world finally getting you down?" The voice sneered as Izuku found himself confined to a drifting chasm, a dark ocean compacting Izuku's form. "Are you still having thoughts that you can be a hero?" The voice began to laugh wildly with a wicked tone that filled the desolate void perpetually.
"You just can't let go can you." The voice taunted as the laughter grew louder and louder each second dragging on and on as Izuku was frozen in place as though he was a statue condemned to hear the laughter and witness the ever-lasting vacuum of blackness pass him by without end. Izuku felt the loss of his physical body as though his blood and bones began to flake and rot away, with each piece that drifted away into the liminal pit was only one of the various painful sensations that greeted Izuku.
His brain began to swell in the vein of a balloon filling with water to obscene sizes in a small sink as it pushed against the corners of his skull trying to break free, each moment it doubled in size as his ears burnt up like an egg on a summer sidewalk, sizzling with steam coming off of his lobes. "Oh come on Izuku don't be a bad sport, the fun is just getting started now!" The voice announced as it revelled in his pain, a sadistic glee filling its voice. Izuku wanted to scream but as he opened his mouth his jaw detached from his head in an instant, floating out away from his body, the pain grew worse blood pooled from his opened flesh into bubbles that glistened along the void. Izuku looked on in horror as he was witnessing what no human being ever should view. His eyes started to bulge out in terror but what happened next only made him wish for death.
A new sensation befell Izuku as his once bulging eyes experienced pain like no other his eyes were pulled out of their sockets as they detached from the optic nerves, but Izuku could still see, as his eyes spun around in the dark void viewing his rotting body floating along his skin almost a greenish grey. Bones and muscle tissue revealed themselves and an out-of-body experience horrified Izuku as he saw what he had become. But he could still feel a tremendous amount of pain as Izuku's sight became weaker as nothingness took over his eyes, not darkness, true nothingness so blank and colourless, yet so far from it that it almost defied logic.
The horror of that realisation sent Izuku spiralling into madness as he felt a warmth emerge from his stomach before a new commotion stirred from the back of his head, cracking open as easy as an egg while his ears continued to sizzle, but when his head opened all he felt was a glacial cold freezing his blood and nerves for a few seconds before the molten temperatures of his ears began to drip to the back of his head releasing the nerves and unleashing a torrent of pain to him. With what was left of Izuku's body if the words 'pain' were written in the smallest size on the last remaining parts of his body it would not even start to describe the pain he felt as each pain was a mixture of frigid and boiling temperatures infused with swelling, splitting and stabbing commotions all over his body.
Izuku's ears began to melt away completely identical to melting icicle dripping from the ceiling onto the ground, his hearing fading corresponding to his loss of sight as the last words he heard from the voice were, "Don't look glum Izuku I'll be beside you until you wake up. Wake Up. WAKE UP. WAKE UP." Izuku was confused as those last words rung in what was left of his head, just as Izuku prayed and wished that the pain would all be over, he awoke with a searing pain and his limbs restrained against a metal table, his chest covered in electrode pads with a harshly bright white light dangling over his head.
Izuku blinked his eyes as they adjusted to the sudden intrusion on his senses as he searched the room around him, a sterile dark grey and a large glass panel in front of him. Stinging his eyes the light swung back and forth comparable to an invasive eyeball scrutinising his every move, his body felt frigid and stiff as the cold plastic and metal of the electrode pads clung to his skin, as the metal table irritated his skin. A rash began to form around Izuku's wrists and ankles, an unreachable itch, creating a burning desire in his mind to try and scratch it, as Izuku fidgeted around the table akin to the movements of a squirming fly caught in a spider web when he felt a glare peer into his soul from beyond his sight.
Izuku directed his head towards the dark glass panel in front of him and squinted his eyes, feeling someone was behind it, "Hello?" Izuku croaked weakly, his throat feeling tight and swollen as though he swallowed a wasp while he had an ulcer the size of a Yen Coin in his throat and then proceeded to violently sting the ulcer continuously for 3 minutes. Izuku struggled to speak, each sound and breath he made with his mouth was torturous on his throat as he felt tiny whips and pitchforks shred his throat, suddenly feedback intertwined with static from a small coms in the room as a familiar voice broke through the haze, "Izuku it's us." A distraught high-pitched voice called out.
"Francine, is that you? Where's Kirk?" Izuku questioned, he spoke softly, his voice just above a whisper, trying his best to avoid damaging his throat but he still felt a boiling momentum in his stomach, his head hazy and foggy like glasses in a sauna. "Don't worry he's right here with me sweetie." Francine handed the microphone to her husband to inform Izuku what was happening.
"I'm here Izuku," Kirk announced comforting Izuku, as Kirk pierced beyond the sheet of glass and looked onto the exasperated Izuku with a worrying demeanour, his face shrouded in anguish as his attention was divided by Izuku and monitors displaying Izuku's heartbeat, brainwaves, breathing, and blood. They showed a slight abnormality so small that most others wouldn't recognise it, most would chalk it up to Izuku struggling in place, but as Izuku lay still the readings began to spike at a galloping speed. "Where am I?" Izuku asked inquisitively as his voice became raspy and dry. "You're in the spare lab in the basement where we do readings on people and animals," Kirk said his voice filled with a calming yet urgent tone.
The monitors were starting to pick up speed worrying Kirk and Francine in an attempt to figure out what was happening to Izuku. Francine asked, "What's the last thing you remember before waking up here, Izuku?" Izuku's face strained as he tried to remember what happened, his mind being stretched as though it were putty, Izuku groaned and grunted as he struggled to find an answer. Kirk read the monitors, Izuku's heart rate increasing as his brain waves suffered a severe abnormality spike, Izuku struggled to remember anything before he woke up, he scratched at his brain trying to force himself to remember the details of the last events. "I-I can't remember! I can't remember!" Izuku said his voice filled with distraught as tears ran down the side of his face. He felt lost and afraid he was losing himself not knowing what he wanted anymore.
Tears cascaded down Francine's cheeks as she watched Izuku suffer, unable to hold in her emotions, "I don't remember anything, why am I here?" Izuku sobbed, snot slowly dripping from his nose, he wailed out languishing. "Kirk, what do we do? We have to tell him!" Francine said loathing herself, she didn't want to live with this, keeping something so big and important from Izuku. Kirk detested Francine's opinions saying, "We can't tell Izuku that he's a wanted criminal by night, it would destroy him!" A sense of dread and hesitation flooded Francine's mind and heart. She knew Kirk wanted to help Izuku with her but they had two different methods to do so.
As the night sky shifted ever so lightly, Izuku remained restrained against the table, each minute was an unbearable feeling, and the only thing he could do to keep his mind from wandering was to try and remember what happened last, it was a daze, each moment flashing like lightning. Every image flashing in his mind as fast as a Bullet Train in a disorganised and jolted fashion, Izuku struggled to piece together what happened in reality and what was only a figment of his subconscious imagination.
Muscles tensed as Izuku clenched his jaw in pain, and his veins started bulging as the light in the room began to flicker on and off continuously, Izuku's mind was taxed with pain as layers of heavy fog veiled his memory. It was like his own mind was trying to stop him from seeing something he wasn't meant to lay his eyes on. Was it trying to protect Izuku or was it hiding the truth from him for something far worse? Kirk sat at a desk staring deep and longingly through the lens of the microscope analysing Izuku's blood cells, in the dimly lit room, the blood cells didn't show any visible signs of a quirk or even the remnants of someone else's quirk having affected his cells. But as he took a closer look he noticed several abnormalities, some cells showed signs of intense stress and trauma with lysed cells, broken down to release DNA and proteins so foreign cells may invade and mutate them.
Kirk was awe-struck at such behaviour; he had always read about mutations in stories and heard of some mutant and transformation quirks causing people to have different physical forms and quirks that could even mutate people. He was aware of natural environmental factors such as long exposure to radiation or even consuming tobacco products, but none of these had any capabilities to change users into animal hybrids back and forth. "Did someone figure out the secrets of gene splicing, but how, and who, but most importantly why on Izuku?" Kirk thought to himself. He knew it was plausible that someone might have figured out how to splice genetics but he had no idea who could've done this. MGRI didn't have such sophisticated technology on genetic research to pull such a feat off, and even if they did the only person with any idea on genetic splicing would be Dr. March.
Kirk stood up from the desk as he grabbed a vial of Izuku's blood, towards a large computer monitor with a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Machine to amplify the DNA sample to detect corruption in his genetic sequence properly and hopefully devise a cure or the very least a blocker for the DNA. He opened the PCR machine and carefully slid in the vial before opening a program on his computer to check what else was happening to Izuku. The computer hummed and whirred loudly, the program opened showing two nucleic acid notations spun on the screen greying out certain strands of the DNA while highlighting other areas, Kirk couldn't even begin to comprehend just how dire the situation was. A pop-up window appeared next to the heavily corrupted nucleic acid notations that read, "Nucleotide Degradation Detected; Heavily disrupted codon sequences correlating with altered protein functions."
As Kirk looked at the other nucleic acid notation it showed another pop-up that read, "Compatible Dominant Sequences: 97% probability that these codon sequences can be lethal to the host DNA leading to sudden degeneration of muscle and bone mass and crippling the host's body and brain." Kirk read in horror of the damage being done to Izuku as he was far worse than he anticipated, Izuku was slowly being killed from the inside. Another pop-up appeared reading, "Highly Unstable Mutation; Foreign genetic material exhibiting aggressive and malignant replication. Triggering extreme physiological and psychological changes in the subject." As he read through the daunting pop-up messages he realised how he needed to isolate the Man-Bat signature from Izuku's DNA and fast, before his untimely demise.
Kirk rushed to invent a cure for Izuku, his mind racing alongside his heart like a cheetah galloping after a gazelle. Rushing his fingers against the keyboard combining chemicals to create a cure, the light of dawn breaking through the veil of clouds. Carefully matching the codon sequences to create an antidote, Kirk prayed that he had the correct sequences, as he added the finishing touches to the antidote, the PCR machine whirred to life and after a few minutes, the cure was ready.
Kirk pulled out a vial containing a blue liquid from the PCR machine and grabbed a syringe gun and carefully placed the vial into the gun and cocked it back. Francine ran into the room, sweat dripping down her head and fear in her eyes, "Kirk it's Izuku, something's happening to him!" Her voice was tired and worrisome, Kirk followed her down to the lab where they held Izuku, to see him foaming at the mouth as his vitals began spiking all over the place.
The straps around Izuku's wrists snapped loudly, as Izuku began to convulse on the table his eyes jerking around his skull, Kirk was stricken with fear across his face, seeing Izuku in unbearable pain he quickly opened the door to the room, the syringe gun in his hand. Trying to administer the antidote was easier said than done as Izuku struggled against his every move, Kirk attempted to pin Izuku down but he was pushed off with violent force against the glass panel cracking it, Kirk went limp onto the floor as the syringe gun lay in the far corner of the room.
Francine rushed into the room trying to retrieve the syringe gun from the suffering Izuku, she listened to his body morph and shift in unnatural ways while she tried to grab the gun. His bones cracked vociferously, making Izuku unleash a blood-curdling scream throughout the lab, Francine shuffled along the ground looking for the gun and listening to Izuku's squeals of agony throughout the lab. Searching for the syringe gun, Francine could only listen to Izuku's shouts of pain and suffering, his body flooding with rapid changes, his skin sprouting fur from all over his body.
The newfound weight of his changing body caused the constraints around his ankles to burst open sending metal flying like shrapnel blasted out of a shotgun. Izuku fell to the floor on all fours as his fingers slowly elongated to extreme lengths, looking on in horror at Izuku's ever-changing form, Francine hastened her search for the syringe gun. Searching through the lab for the gun was like looking for a needle in a haystack during a war, with each moment she wasted looking for the gun Izuku continued to shriek in pain like a banshee.
From Izuku's transforming eyes, torrents of tears came streaking across his face akin to Ryuzu Falls, as a battle of epic proportions waged war on inside Izuku's mind, a struggle for dominion over who would take control; the animalistic persona of the Man-Bat or the brilliant and caring mind of Izuku Midoriya. He looked upon the injured and hardly conscious Kirk in front of him, Izuku fell to his hands and knees feeling the sensation of a million knives and daggers digging themselves all over his body, "KIRK!" Izuku screamed out from the top of his lungs fear and worry gripping every word.
Francine watched as Izuku hunched over his back, it began pulsating and shifting as if there were thousands of snakes and insects travelling along his spine as Izuku grieved over his mutating form. Francine panicked, her breath heaving heavily as she clutched her heart, beating echoing a thousand fists pounding on a steel door, watching the petite Izuku transform into a monster before her eyes, looking around the room she noticed the syringe gun lying across from her.
Francine picked up the syringe gun and carefully made her way to the transforming Izuku, attempting not to startle Izuku, she witnessed his body begin to grow in size and his feet and toes transform into razor-sharp talons. Sprouting wings grew from his underarms to his elongated fingers, his ears began elongating into pointed tips. Francine knew it was now or never and struggling to find a safe spot to inject Izuku without getting hit, she jumped onto his back riding him like a rodeo bull as he squealed in terror.
Kirk opened his eyes gathering his bearings only to see Francine hanging onto Izuku mid-transformation, with one hand for dear life with the syringe gun in her other hand. The emerging Man-Bat bucked and kicked attempting to throw Francine off, focusing on her the beast failed to notice Kirk who rushed at it putting the creature into a chokehold, "Francine, inject the antidote into his back now!" He yelled, dangling off the neck of the Man-Bat, Francine stabbed the gun into Izuku's back pulling the trigger and flooding Izuku's bloodstream with the antidote.
Izuku screamed as his body reversed its sudden transformation, everything that happened slowly shifted back to his original state. As Izuku started to shrink, the feeling of his muscles and bones tearing apart and being glued back together echoed throughout his body, each second he felt every fibre of his being antagonised by the antidote. Each of his cells shredded violently asunder, his bones and muscles welded back together with the heat of molten magma poured directly into his veins, spreading through his entire body with the momentum of Hermes, gliding lightly through his blood.
His fingers stretched and pulled back into his hands, the leathery wings that started growing folded back into Izuku's arms, while his talon feet began to twist and bend as they took their original form. Francine held onto Kirk as she dug her head into his chest looking away from the suffering Izuku, Kirk held her close with his hand on her head and as she shook faster and faster, she couldn't bear a sound from her mouth. She felt remorseful for not telling Izuku about his affliction Izuku sooner, she started to cry silently into her husband's lab coat, the tears quietly staining Kirk's lab coat.
Whilst Kirk comforted his wife he was left with the unspeakable horrors of Izuku's transformation, his elongated and pointed ears crunching and smoothing out into a rounded shape, the fur that had begun to grow so hastefully like bamboo, fell out in a matter of seconds. He was left aghast and disturbed as Izuku's back pulsated and straightened out with an unbearable compilation of fractures and pops, he was forced to bear witness to Izuku's suffering, with his own two eyes. He watched Izuku twist and turn uncontrollably, but could only comprehend a sliver of the pain, with one last snap Izuku let out a guttural roar of agony that filled the room with an atmosphere of dread and devastation. Izuku lay on the floor quivering, trembling with an indescribable amount of trepidation shooting through his entire system, faster than a bullet, cutting through his mind like a hot knife through butter.
Izuku's eyes flapped open, his head aching as he looked around the room before he looked up at the Langstroms with a teary-eyed expression, snot dripping from his nose and asked them, "W-Wha, w-what's happening to me?" Kirk and Francine turned their heads to Izuku and realised they couldn't keep the secret from him any longer.
