10TH FANFIC!
I cannot believe I almost wrote ten fanfics, I'm getting there .

This fanfic is gonna be in a third person point of view, a little easier to read, I find.

Earth 1988
Hospital: Hallway
A young girl named Twilight Sparkle sits in a hospital waiting room, listening to an 'Awesome Mix Vol. 1' tape on her Walkman with her best friend since forever, Sunset Shimmer, who is sitting next to her in a chair, writing in her notebook.
Twilight's older brother, Shining Armor, walks out of a hospital room and approaches Twilight, kneeling down in front of her, "Twilight. Dad wants to speak with you.
Sunset looks up at Twilight, seeing that she's not listening. She looks at Shining Armor and tells him softly, "She can't hear you." Shining Armor looks at her. She points her pencil to her ear and says to him, "The music is too loud."
Shining Armor nods at Sunset and looks down at the Walkman in Twilight's lap, "Come on, Twily." He takes the headphones off of Twilight's head, "Take these fool things off." He turns off the Walkman and returns it to Twilight, patting her leg softly. After a moment, he shares a sad look with Sunset before they both look back at Twilight.
A couple of minutes later, Twilight stands and puts on her backpack, walking forward as she holds her headphones and Walkman until Shining Armor gently takes the headphones and Walkman. He puts them inside her backpack for her.
Twilight slowly walks towards the room. She looks back at Sunset, who gives her a small sympathetic smile and says, "I'll be right here." Twilight nods and continues to walk forward into the hospital room.
Hospital Room
Shining Armor walks behind Twilight, guiding her inside towards a group of people who are sitting and standing beside a bed where Twilight's father, Night Light, lies dying in bed from brain cancer.
Shining Armor leads Twilight to Night Light's left bedside. Twilight looks at her dad with a small smile, his breathing shallow. He looks at Twilight and notices her left eye is bruised. He asks her, "Why have you been fighting with the other kids again, Twily?" Twilight looks down, silently shrugs her shoulders. Night Light persists, "Twilight?"
Young Twilight explains, "They killed a little frog that ain't done nothing. Smushed in with a stick."
Night Light looks at Twilight with love in his eyes, "You're so like your mother." Twilight looks at him, "You even look like her. And she was an angel. Composed of pure light..." Night Light's eyes close for a moment, almost out of breath.
Shining Armor softly calls out from behind Twilight as he holds her shoulders, "Dad? You got a present there for Twilight, don't you?"
Night Light nods weakly, "Of course." He softly touches the small wrapped present and card, too weak to give it to Twilight, "There."
Shining Armor takes the present and card, softly saying to Twilight, "I've got you covered, Twily." He then puts them in Twilight's backpack.
Night Light tells Twilight, "You open it up when I'm gone, okay?" Twilight looks away as her eyes grow with tears, "Your brother..." Twilight sniffles, "...is gonna take such good care of you." Shining Armor sadly looks down at his father, "At least until your mother comes back to get you." His breathing becomes more shallow, "Take my hand." He weakly opens his hand to Twilight, but she turns her head away, "Twilight." Twilight cries as she backs away into Shining Armor.
Shining Armor looks at Twilight, "Twily, come on."
Night Light tells Twilight, "Take my hand." Just then, Night Light's heart stops, and he slowly drops his hand down to the bed.
Young Twilight looks at Night Light, hearing the heart monitor beep, flatlining, "Dad? No! No! No! No!" She goes to reach out for her dad, but Shining Armor pulls her away.
Hallway
Sunset quickly looks up as she hears Twilight's desperate cries, "Dad! No!" A doctor rushes into the hospital room, and Shining Armor carries Twilight out of the room.
Shining Armor tells Twilight, "Come with me." Sunset quickly shoves her notebook and pencil in her backpack.
Young Twilight continues to scream, "No! No!" Shining Armor puts Twilight down as Sunset stands up and puts on her backpack.
Shining Armor bends down in front of Twilight and tells her pleasingly, "You've got to stay here. Please."
Young Twilight crying, "No..."
Shining Armor looks at Sunset sadly. She understands that Twilight's dad has died, and she sadly looks at them both. Shining Armor slowly backs away, "Okay?"
(Slow Motion) Twilight watches her brother turn around and return to the hospital room where everyone is crying at the loss.
Moments later, Twilight runs down the hallway, and Sunset follows her as she calls out her name, "Twilight!"
Outside
Young Twilight pushes open the door and runs outside with Sunset following her, "Twilight!"
Young Twilight runs up a small hill and suddenly falls to her knees as she weeps, "No." Sunset runs up to her and drops to her knees beside her on her left. She wraps her arms around Twilight for comfort, and Twilight holds on to her tightly, afraid that Sunset will also disappear.
Twilight continues to cry on Sunset's shoulder when suddenly, a light turns on and hits down on them above. The two look up to see a spaceship above them.
Suddenly, a colorful beam shoots down and it swirls around them. Twilight shouts, "Dad!" The two disappear.
