Chapter 20

The Third Day

The atmosphere turned cold and the waves seemed like they were getting angry, like a storm was brewing. The weather events didn't seem natural like they were being controlled, i bet you this weather event is Ursula's doing. I manage to spot the women who i think is Ursula in disguise walk along the beach to the castle. Her necklace was still glowing a yellowy ghostly glow.

As i try to hang on to a rock, the sea kept splashing me. I struggled to keep grip as i tried to look for Flounder to alert him but i was unable to see him everywhere. I wanted to stop the disguised Ursula, so without thinking i catch a wave to the beach. I rode it like i was surfing as it crashed hard onto the shore, it caused me to be bumped, hard!.

I feel myself sinking in the wet sand and try to roll on to my stomach. My body of arching as i try to drag myself towards the direction that Ursula went in. It was pitch black and was unable to see anything. I then try to scream out the sea witches name a few times but had no response. She was too far away. I felt exhausted, my body ached, I faint.

"Urchin, Urchin? WAKE UP! WAKE UP! What are you doing here boy? I've just heard some great news!" i begin to hear a cheery familiar sounding male voice, my vision was black as i begin to mumble. Then i hear the voice again this time asking me why i was out of the water. I start i feel my surroundings. My hands were feeling dry sand, so was my back. I also feel warm like something was gentlely heating me up. Was i dreaming? Who's calling out to me?.

I slowly open my eyes to see that i was looking at a light blue screen with white fluffy looking things. I soon realise that i was staring up towards the sky "The sky?" i whisper. I then see a familiar face block my view of the sky and of course it was Scuttle "He lives! Why on earth are you out of the water and lying on the beach?" he asks confused.

I sit up and begin to really feel the suns rays drying me out. I soon realise that i must've fallen asleep on the beach or passed out last night. The pain in my body had healed over night, Scuttle immediately began to speak to me before i could even get a word in "Well so glad your ok! I was just on my way to see Ariel and...". I lifted an eye brow "You were going to see Ariel? Hmmmm that's right today is the third day of the spell but you seem excited?" i say to him as i notice his unsual mood.

I wanted to tell Scuttle everything about what i saw last night but he kept interupting me to tell his news first. "You bet ya! I've just heard the news! We did it!" he cries, i look at him confusingly "News?" i ask the bird. "Hmm tough crowd! Well let me fill you in, we did it Urchin! Ariel and the prince are getting hitched this afternoon!" continues the bird, my eyes widen "You mean?" i ask in shock "They are getting married!" Scuttle screams towards me as he dances on my tail.

I sit there in shock and was unable to speak because i had something dark to tell him. On the back of my mind, i had a worrying thought that it wasn't Ariel getting married but the Sea Witch in disguise. Scuttle was still dancing on my tail which stung because my scales were almost dried out. I urgently needed to tell Scuttle about last night "Scuttle, i need to..." but the bird had already began to fly away , he was too over joyed about the news that he had to tell Ariel.

What do i do now? Well the best thing i need to do right now is to drag myself back into the water before becoming a overcooked. After fighting the wet sand that kept making me sink into it, i finally hit the calm blue ocean. The feeling through my body had never felt so good. I swam around for a bit before sitting on a reef. My brain was scambling, i just didn't want to just sit here and wait for the unfortunate events that may occur.

Finally, i spot Flounder coming towards me who had actually spotted me first "Urchin! What happened to you last night?" i cries. "What happened to me last night is not important Flounder, well half of it is..." i start explaining to the fish, "What do you mean half?" he asks. As i remain sitting on the reef i quickly tell Flounder about what i had seen last night and that i think Ursula has disguised herself has a human girl.

Flounder was quick to believe me (quicker then i thought) and he began to panic. I also explained that i had just met up with Scuttle who informed me that there is going to be a wedding "Ariel and the prince finally kissed?" Flounder asks, "Well normally at a wedding, a kiss normally happens at the end right?" i ask Flounder who looks at me twice as confused "I've never been to a wedding!" he tells me.

"Did Scuttle give you any more infomation about Ariel and the wedding?" asks Flounder "No! He was so excited about the news that he flew away to tell her!" i answer to him annoyed "I bet you Ursula has a plan to ruin the wedding to some shape of inform and she is going to do it undirected!". Flounder begins to panic "Wait is Ursula is on land where are her eels? Flotsam and Jetsam?" he asks "I don't know but i suggest we need to keep alert for them! They could be anywhere!" i tell him.

I look up towards the surface at the sun that was shining down on us. After a deep thought, i with a heavy heart suggested to Flounder that we finally need to inform the King about everything "Flounder, i have an awful fear about what might happen today, i can feel it in my gills, i think its time we inform the King...", "BUT URCHIN! That could get us into a lot of trouble!" he shouts.

"Maybe but would you rather to tell him the truth or not? He could be the only one who could prevent the events that might occur today! Plus he is probably worried sick about his daughter missing for three days!" i shout towards Flounder. Flounder was shaking, i grab his two front fins and hold them in my hands "Flounder you are Ariel's best friend and you do not wish for her to be in danger would you?" i gentley ask him "No guess your right!" Flounder quickly says on his breath.

We begin to swim towards Atlantica and a shadow of a big ship sails above us. Flounder then begins speaking to me "Hey Urchin?", "Yeah Flounder?", "Your so brave!" he tells me. I smile at him "Gee...Thanks Flounder!". We continue to swim but suddenly two slithery figures appear in front us. "Look who we've found!", "Its the merboy and his little friend" they both say with their husky voices, this was bad. We are stopped in our tracks by none other Flotsam and Jetsam, we spoke too soon.
