Soaring through the sky, the Avengers and their new allies made their way back to their base. Given the scarcity of flyers at their disposal, they had to rely on the assistance of the friends they had recently made. Fortunately, with Wanda's help in facilitating communication, they were able to convey their need for help. This was especially crucial as they found themselves in the vicinity of a Dragon Hunter stronghold.

Stark managed to fly despite the damage his suit had taken, though it was a bit of a shaky journey. Wanda, with her Chaos Magic, could soar effortlessly, requiring very little focus. The others weren't so fortunate since they weren't gifted with flight capabilities; they had to pair up with those who could carry them.

Hiccup took the lead, riding on Toothless with Captain America behind him. Snotlout found himself paired with Clint, who seemed less than thrilled at the matchup, sensing that the group had purposely paired him with the most challenging member. It was immediately apparent to anyone who encountered Snotlout what kind of person he was.

Natasha partnered with Astrid, intentionally steering clear of the twins out of fear that she might end up having to throw one of them from their dragon. At first glance, she couldn't tell the boy twin from the girl twin apart, not that it mattered to her—she was equally prepared to shove the nearest one off the dragon without a second thought.

This meant Peter ended up riding with Heather on Windshear, a dragon he thought would be uncomfortable due to its metal scales. He even wondered how such a creature could fly. Fortunately, there was ample space for him as a second rider. Gripping the saddle's back tightly, they soared over the ocean, heading toward their base. With no need for secrecy at the moment, those who wore masks removed them, keeping them ready for the day they would return home.

Heather looked back and recognized Peter was worried. "You good back there?"

"Well..." Peter looked down in concern. "Let's just say that I'm afraid of heights. At least ocean heights. Back home, it wasn't much of an issue since I could catch myself on buildings. But...the ocean, there is nothing."

"Don't worry, I haven't lost a rider yet." Heather comforted him as best she could. Then she came into a bit of an awkward silence between the two of them as they flew off. "So...you're from the future?"

"Yeah, traveled to the past," Peter said with a sigh. "Wouldn't be the first time."

"You've done this before?" Heather asks.

"Never on purpose," Peter explained. "I tend to try and stay within my own timeline."

Heather chuckled at his attempt at a joke. "Ah, look. There it is."

Peter looked up ahead as the Dragon Riders introduced the Avengers to their home: Dragon's Edge

To the northeast of Berk lies Dragon's Edge, a place revered as the current home of the Dragon Riders, as described by Hiccup. This island features lush, verdant forests, and towering cliffs, and is surrounded by shallow lagoons. At its center stands a majestic mountain peak, enveloped in a glistening coat of ice and snow, yet harboring the secret of being a dormant volcano.

"This is your home?" Steve asks.

"Yep," Hiccup said as he and Toothless landed on the ground outside the base. They took in the sight. "This is Dragon's Edge. Our home away from home since we've begun chasing after these Dragon Hunters."

Tony flew overhead, his thrusters beginning to finally give out. He began to panic slightly as he began to lose control of his suit. "Whoa... Whoa!" He then cut power off as he then fell and slammed into the ground, making a superhero pose in the process. He then steadies himself as his suit was still sparking. "Okay, I'm good!" He then ripped off a fragment of his armor over his arm. "I'm okay!" He then ripped off his mask with a sigh of relief. "We're good."

Then Tony's repulser blast on his hand went off, sending his arm swaying while the thruster hit a rock where a few Night Terrors were resting. They screeched from the interruption of their nap and flew off, screeching at Tony as they did so. Everyone was shielding their eyes from the strike and then all gave him a look of disbelief.

"Sorry." Tony shrugged as he sighed. "I gotta get this thing repaired."

"That even possible with our current situation?" Natasha asked.

"I mean, not to the previous extent." Tony shrugged as he sighed and looked at his armor. "But I should be able to get the thrusters working. That is the main thing."

"It's your only thing." Clint joked.

"This coming from the guy with the bow and arrows." Tony scoffed at the comment.

"Hey, as far as I can see," Clint said as he spun an arrow in his hand. "I might be the only one of us who's going to survive this experience." He then heard Natasha clear her throat, getting him to freeze. "And likely Nat."

"So...is it just you guys here?" Peter was curious to clarify. "Really?"

"Yeah, just us." Hiccup confirmed. "Nobody else was on this island."

"Well, there was the twins' long-lost great uncle Magmar." Astrid corrected him. "But that's about it."

"And you managed to build all of this?" Peter asked in surprise. "Wow. Clint, I think we found better builders than you."

"Hey, I built that barn from scratch," Clint stated since he knew Peter was referring to his home back in their time. "So... what is the plan?"

"I don't really think we have one," Natasha stated.

"Well, we are going to have to find a way to get back home, that is obvious," Stark said as he sighed. "But without the blueprints or the building equipment, hell, without electricity, there is no way we are getting it built."

"And as far as we are concerned, the fragments of the portal that were dragged in with us are still falling through time and space in that vortex." Peter recapped. "Which means..."

"We are going to be here a while." Clint sighed as he understood that much.

"And we might have a bigger problem." Steve reminded them as he placed his shield down in the clubhouse of Dragon's Edge. "If AIM and their associates managed to escape the vortex as Shocker did, we need to find and stop them."

"Why?" Wanda asks. "We can go back home, leave them back here, the less damage they can cause."

"You kidding?" Clint asked with a scoff. "Has this girl never seen Back to the Future?"

"I grew up in Sokovia during a war and was experimented by HYDRA for half of my life. Let's say they didn't keep up on pop culture." Wanda reminded Clint of her traumatic childhood.

"Yeah, it was mostly just old sitcoms." Natasha said in a joking manner.

"Clint means that if AIM remains in the past, they could wreak havoc on our future," Peter summarized Clint's point for her. "MODOK and AIM have already attempted to alter history. They might warn their past selves or reshape history in their image, potentially erasing our very existence."

"Okay, but what does Back to the Future have to do with any of that?" Wanda wonders.

"Let's just say that it's a story about a guy who goes back in time and accidentally gets his own mom to fall in love with him. Altering the future he knows and almost erasing him from existence." Peter recapped the plot of the movie.

Wanda looked at him as if that was a disturbing plot summary, as did a few of the Riders. "And you guys call that entertainment?" Wanda asks.

"Hey, don't ruin Back to the Future for me, missy," Stark warned Wanda. "That's a favorite of mine."

"Can we get back to the fact we are currently stuck in the past?" Natasha asked them.

"Right." Stark agreed. "But no more ruining Back to the Future."

"Moving on," Steve intervened. "We need to find AIM before they begin to cause damage to the timeline."

"Assuming they haven't already begun to do so," Stark commented with a sigh. He then looked down at his suit and saw the damage. "Well, if we are going to go up against AIM, I am going to need to reconfigure my suit. See what kind of systems are salvageable."

"And I am going to have to recreate my suit," Peter said, looking down at his damaged suit and web-shooters. "And I am going to need to reconfigure my web shooters since I am running low on Web-fluid."

"What's Web-fluid?" Astrid asks.

Peter shrugged as he decided to show it off and shot off a strand of webbing that latched onto a rock. The webbing spooked a Terrible Terror that was resting there and flew away. The webbing seemed to awe the dragon riders as they all looked at it in amazement.

"Whoa, that is incredible," Fishlegs said as he looked at the webbing. "How is this possible?"

"I'd be happy to explain the science behind it, but..." Peter looked down at his damaged suit. "I would really like to stop showing off my three chest hairs."

Heather nodded as she decided to step forward. "Come on, I'll show you where we keep our cloth supplies. Are you good with sewing?"

"You kidding? I designed this suit myself." Peter informed her as they made their way to the storage hut.

"No kidding, so did I," Heather commented as they strolled to the hut.

"Huh..." Stark watched the two of them and felt something was going on with the two. But he decided to shrug it off and looked to the others. "So, does anyone happen to have a blacksmith area for me to work in?"

Astrid scoffed and bumped Hiccup. "You're up."

Hiccup nodded as he showed Stark where his blacksmith shop was and where he could begin retrofitting his armor. Stark sighed as he removed his armor, placing the exoskeleton of the suit separated from the other fragments of armor. Then Tony began to get to work on repairing the armor so he could get back out there and was trying to salvage what he could from the technology. Without access to Jarvis, most of his HUB screen was going to be offline, but most of his weapons were going to be able to still work out.

Heather brought Peter to the storage hut where he could fix his suit and retrofit it so he could now work on this new world. Since he was in the past, he was stuck without his web fluid formula since half of the chemicals were either discovered or as easily accessible as it was in the past. So, he was going to have to work on a new way of getting around the battlefield.

"These look good enough for you?" Heather asked as she showed the small amount of cloth they did have.

As Peter nodded, he gingerly picked up pieces of red and blue cloth, carefully examining the extent of the damage to his suit. Unlike Stark's high-tech suit, Peter's relied less on technology, but the wear and tear had taken its toll. With the changing times, he knew he needed a completely new suit, using the remains of his current one as a base to adapt to the evolving world.

Taking off his scorched suit, Peter sighed in relief as the uncomfortable weight lifted from his shoulders. He felt Heather's concerned gaze on him, and he hadn't realized she hadn't left yet. The scars and bruises on his body bore witness to his past battles and recent fights, as they were taking their time to heal. She stared in awe as she figured that Peter and his friends all had seen their fair share of battles over the years from their quick talk. But seeing the reminders on his body made her realize that he wasn't just some jokester like he was making himself out to be.

"Uh, you mind if I...?" Peter seemed a little sheepish seeing her look at his scars.

"Oh, uh, right." Heather said as she headed off, leaving Peter to work on his suit.

Peter then started to use May's sewing techniques he used to create his first Spider-Man suit to good use once more as he started to create a new suit using the fabric. But as he was working, Heather found herself taking one last peek at the shirtless man before walking off and closing the door. She felt her face blush as she had to say she felt quite attracted to him. But she remembered that she had feelings for Fishlegs. Or at least that's what she thought. It was really hard to tell. Things were hard on her ever since the whole Viggo fiasco and her brother saving her. She was putting a lot of things into question, especially with her feelings to everything.

Dagur killed her family, but that was before she even knew he was her brother. It doesn't make what he did right, but he is literally known to be deranged. But nonetheless, he attacked and slaughtered her village. Killed her foster parents, and yet he still decided to save her. Rescued her from Viggo's men before they could kill her. She felt an attraction to Fishlegs, she still preferred brains over brawn. But then again, Peter seems to have the brains and the brawn. Not just anyone could fashion outfits for themselves. And apparently, he managed to make a whole fluid that allowed him to shoot webs like a spider.

A lot of things have happened in the last month, and she had a feeling things were only going to get stranger before the day was done.

As the story unfolds, we find Viggo and Ryker across the ocean, engaging with their peculiar new visitors from the distant future. During their interaction, MODOK asserts himself as the leader of this group, engaging in a conversation with Viggo as they leisurely explore his Dragon Hunting facility and the cages that house the captured creatures.

Surrounded by the majestic dragons that Viggo and his brother have managed to capture, MODOK begins to ponder the fate of these magnificent creatures in their own time. He questions whether these species faced extinction or if they sought refuge and went into hiding over the millennia since they were sent back from the future.

MODOK observed the dragon-proof cages, chains, and various ironworks keeping the dragons subdued. "This iron you've crafted," he remarked, "what is its source?"

'That is a trade secret," Ryker told the large head, not trusting the visitor.

"Come, brother." Viggo however decided with a more friendly approach. "You have to forgive my brother, he is not known for his trusting nature." He then approached the Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing. "It is an iron forged from the dragons before you. The formula we keep amongst ourselves."

"Yes, I can see that." MODOK already began to forge plans that he could use to destroy the Avengers with this metal.

"Now, you are not the only travelers who have come here, are you?" Viggo asks.

"The Avengers." MODOK sighed in anger as he turned his rocket chair to face the Head of the Dragon Hunters. "They have been a thorn in my side for years. From what Herman Schultz has told us, the majority of them have traveled back with us."

"And what can you tell me about them?" Viggo wonders. "Is there a chance they might become a threat? Because we are already dealing with a group of no-good dragon lovers."

"Well," MODOK saw an opportunity present itself with that one. "Then I believe that is something we can help each other out with."

Viggo seemed to enjoy that thought. "Are you proposing an alliance?"

"I share my secrets with you. You can share a few with me." MODOK recapped the alliance he is proposing. "I help you destroy these 'dragon lovers', and you help me finally rid my world of the Avengers."

Viggo's smile widened into a satisfied grin as he turned to see Ryker's expression light up with approval at the prospect of forming an alliance. The notion of uniting the formidable might of the Dragon Hunters with the highly skilled AIM Agents, bolstered by the backing of the seasoned mercenaries in their service, appeared to snuff out any glimmer of hope for the Avengers or the Dragon Riders.

Yet, a flicker of optimism remained – perhaps the combined forces of the Avengers and the Dragon Riders could muster enough strength to mount a formidable resistance.

Back at Dragon's Edge, Wanda was using her Chaos Magic to conjure up some huts using the blueprints that the Dragon Riders showed her to create huts for the Avengers that was near the main buildings of Dragon's Edge.

"Wow, you're so awesome," Snotlout wasted no time on trying to flirt with him. "You do anything else?"

"I can conjure up your worst nightmares," Wanda dared him, knowing that would put an end to the flirting.

"Ooh, you can?!" Tuffnut asked in shock. "Can you do it to me?!"

"No!" Ruffnut cried as she shoved her brother out of the way. "Do me! Do me!"

"They're joking, right?" Wanda asked Astrid.

"I don't know, they aren't known for being sane." Astrid admitted.

"At times like this, I am happy to be older," Natasha said with a laugh. She was checking her widow bites to make sure that she had enough to last for a while. "Should have worn my summer suit."

"You have a summer suit?" Clint asked in surprise. He was already trying to design arrows with some fragments of wood that were lying around. If he was going against AIM, he was going to need to get back into some old habits. "Why?"

"Let's say that it throws some enemies off their game." Natasha went with a vague answer.

Emerging from the shed, Peter showcased his updated suit, a hybrid of new designs and his classic Spider-Man attire. The shirt, predominantly blue, was integrated with elements from his previous costume. While his pants bore a strong resemblance to the original, his footwear underwent a significant transformation into strapped shoes, preventing any loose fabric from slipping. A belt encircled his waist, securing a type of rope.

The sleeves, torn from the former suit, coupled with the absence of gloves, were tactical choices for adapting to an unfamiliar environment where he had yet to test the extent of his abilities. His mask received a makeover as well; it was no longer a full-face cover but a partial one, influenced by Heather's design, complemented by a hood adorned with his signature web pattern and a cloth over his mouth.

The ensemble was completed with the iconic Spider emblem emblazoned across the chest, set against the traditional red backdrop with a black web motif.

His web shooters were now replaced by what looked to be small crossbows that has the same function as his old shooters. Now instead of web fluid, they shot out rope that was attacked to his back underneath the shirt, and had small grapple hooks from Hawkeye's grapple arrows.

"Whoa," Clint laughed as he was impressed with Peter's new suit. "Look at that. Someone is embracing the times."

"Well, I figured that it would be best to fit in the best we can," Peter explained his choice of clothes.

"Looks good on you, kid." Steve complimented.

"Can't help but notice a little inspiration," Heather commented as she flicked the hood of Peter's suit.

"Yeah, well, when we get home, I don't need any of my enemies recognizing my face." Peter defended. "And without the technology of the suit, my old mask wasn't going to help out much, so..."

"No, it's fine." Heather showed it didn't bother her. "But don't go taking any more of my style." She then playfully yanked on his hood and strutted off. "Otherwise I might just challenge you for who gets to wear it."

"Trust me, you wear dragon scales better than me," Peter assured, watching her walk away with a blush he couldn't see on her face.

"Wonder how Stark is doing," Wanda commented.

Then they heard the thrusters of the Man of Iron as they looked to see Stark flying from the Blacksmith area that was on the upper layer of Dragon's Edge. He flew his way downward, and he revealed his new outfit that he also seemed to have retrofitted for the times. Stark almost looked like a knight with his red and golden coloring being melted away and was left with a mostly gray and golden look to the majority of his suit.

His gauntlets were fixed within the molding and his repulsers can now work properly again. His feet thrusters seem to also be working perfectly fine. And his mask even though didn't have access to his satellites or JARVIS anymore, he was still able to use the HUD screen to track targets and use his weaponry on the armor. But with his retrofitting parts, he managed to fashion himself a sword in case his suit of armor did fail him that was magnetically sealed to his back.

His arc reactor was retrofitted onto the armor but instead of being out in the open, it was protected under a layer of armor. He couldn't risk losing the arc reactor since he didn't have any backups at this time. He needed to be cautious or he could risk the shrapnel in his chest going into his heart.

"Wow, you got that working fast," Clint commented.

"I made my first suit in a cave with a box of scraps in less than a week." Tony reminded Clint as he opened the mask manually. "I just needed to make some redesigns."

"Well, you boys are already getting into the times," Wanda commented since Stark and Peter both had the same idea. "So, what do we do now?"

"Now?" Steve then picked up his shield again and knew that this world was vastly different from their world. "We train..."
