Atlas was looking for Jade and was worried about her. Jade has been acting weird around him for a few weeks. It wasn't that time around or he would've been at the Lookout. They've been standing by what they said and it will remain that way. The problem with Jade was that she was nervous about their relationship. Is she ready to take that step into getting married? After dealing with abuse for so long as a pup growing into a teen, is she ready for this? Atlas went looking for her around the hotel but she was nowhere to be found. Then he spotted her mother and wanted to ask for something as well.
"Hi, Ms. Sunshine."
"Hello Atlas. How are you?"
"I'm doing good. Have you seen Jade?" he asked.
"Yes I did but she wanted to be alone. I understand why."
"You do?"
"Yes. It's about your relationship. If she's ready for the next step. After seeing me getting abused and bullied about how she looks. She's just nervous. Give her some time but I know she loves you and wants to remain with you. I know what she wants and so does her mother." Atlas looked at her puzzled. "Yes, her mother. I took Jade in when she was little. Her parents were killed when my husband was asleep on duty. They gave her to me. Then getting abused by my husband made things extra complicated."
"So her biological parents…"
"Yes Atlas. Both buried within the community grave site. Where your uncle is buried. That's how she got called Baby Jade."
"Since she lost her parents."
"Yes. So if you want a blessing to marry her. I will show you their site. I will let Wendy know as well. It's been years since she returned home and I doubt Storm knows where it's at. Bring Jade as well." So Atlas went to the Lookout and told his parents. Wendy was worried about returning home. Montana didn't want to go there. Zeus was questioning it. Crystal had to be there since she is also part of the Ninja Pup group when Lightning was still alive. So after fighting with Wendy and Jade, they took the Paw Patroller to Ninja Community. On the road, Wendy was sitting next to Jade. They didn't want to go back but Jade looked more nervous. Since its just Wendy and her family, they couldn't bring Chase, Kevin, Andrew or Lyle with them. Once they arrived, Wendy walked out first. One of the guards was sleeping.
"HEY! Stand up straight and tall!" Wendy shouted.
"How dare you?!" He started but looked at who he was talking to. "Lady Wendy." He was scared. Wendy walked close to him. "I'm sorry my lady."
"I will have a word with my parents later. Now open the gate." Her family backed up. Platinum looked at his wife. Crystal smiled. Jade and Sunshine looked at her.
"Yes Lady Wendy." The gate opened.
"Now stay awake or I will fire you. I may not have been home in years. Everyone in this community knows that I still have the power to do so."
"Yeee….sss Lady Wendy." Everyone followed Wendy in. The adults her and Platinum's age were looking at them. Platinum stood in between his wife and sister. Crystal had Sunshine next to her. Atlas and Zeus were walking behind them, standing up nice and tall. In between them were Jade and Montana. Zeus's four kids, Thor, Brooklyn, Atalanta and Kay were in front of their grandparents. Montana brought Shea with her. Every lady that was around Zeus and Atlas age was drooling with love. Some even fell. Wendy and Platinum were trying not to laugh.
"Boys, you seem to be catching a lot of attention from them." said Platinum.
"Well it's not their fault that they look like you and Uncle Lighting." said Montana. Jade stood closer to Atlas for some reason but knew that no one was going to take her seriously. Crystal saw her face then heard some of the gossip with her name in it.
"Atlas." Jade said, having him look at her. "Your mother is scaring me."
"Don't worry, same here. I never saw this side of her before." Atlas said.
"Same." said Zeus. Wendy and Platinum asked Zeus and Montana to bring the kids as well. Crystal brought Ice with her. Wendy had Atalanta and Kay in front of her and they were walking as leaders. "I can see the next leader within the Ninja side family." They all agreed. They heard laughing. Jade moved closer to Atlas. Montana was closer to Zeus. Those were Storm's friends. Wendy saw her daughter and soon to be daughter-in-law move.
"Hey." Wendy looked down. The pup walked close to the group.
"Who are you pup?"
"Names Atalanta."
"Well Atalanta, I never seen you around here before. So what's your business small fry." They all laughed. Kay stood next to her and grabbed Shea. Some would think that Atalanta and Kay are twins because they look alike. They got the attitude from the Raven gang and the looks from the police, art and ninja sides. Thor and Brooklyn stayed by their grandparents.
"Well if you like to know, I will say…" She smiled. "It's none of her business."
"Sis, don't worry about these losers. Lets go find Auntie Storm." said Kay. Shea nodded. She knew who her aunt was but didn't know why she never acknowledged her. The group mouths dropped. "Right Grandma." Wendy walked over.
"Yes girls. Hopefully my parents can do something about your behavior." Wendy had her ninja pup collar on but it had the tag from her home. It had two white rings on it. The Ninja pup symbol was on the other side. Ryder updated the tags for everyone. Platinum had the Raven gang symbol on one side and the Ninja pup symbol on the other side.
"Lady Wendy!" They shouted and bowed their heads. Storm walked out the group but backed up. Atalanta and Kay ran over but Shea went to her mother. "Storm…" They looked scared.
"Mom. Dad. What brings the family here?" Storm asked. She noticed Shea as well.
"Going to see Lightning grave site." Wendy said with a sad face. "My parents already know we are here. Do you want to join us?" Storm looked at her.
"For as long as I've been here…"
"You never seen it?" asked Platinum.
"No. I didn't feel comfortable going to the site by myself or with grandma and grandpa. I was waiting until mom was ready." Wendy hugged Storm and the family walked to the grave yard. The word went around the Ninja family aka Wendy's family were there. The whole family were walking like leaders. Wendy, Platinum and Crystal in the front. Shea, Thor, Brooklyn, Kay and Atalantia were behind them. Atlas, Storm, Montana and Zeus and Ice were behind the pups. Zeus had Jade next to him. Everyone saw the family and backed up with fear. Storm looked at Atlas.
"Mom is scaring me." she said then looked at Montana and Zeus.
"Same." said Atlas.
"We said the same thing once we passed the gate." said Montana. Storm looked at her shocked. "Yep, this is the side of our mother that I think we don't want."
"Don't worry, your mother was scarier before she left this area." said Sunshine. Wendy's four kids were shocked. "That might be where you got that attitude from Storm. "I was one of your mother's friends before she left. The rest of them should still be around.
"I wasn't that happy when it came to my attitude." said Wendy. Crystal giggled.
"But that's how you got my brother's attention." said Crystal. Platinum slightly pushed her.
"Can you please not start anything?" said Platinum, trying not to look embarrassed.
"That's the same look that daddy also gives mommy." said Brooklyn.
"Yep. We just don't know what the means." said Atalantia. Zeus looked at his daughters.
"Can you two stop please?" Zeus asked. Shea just looked at her cousins. They met up with Wendy's parents.
"Are you ready? Wendy. Platinum. Crystal." asked Wendy's mother.
"Grandma, I have a small question." said Atlas.
"Yes Atlas."
"Why is dad and Auntie Crystal here?" Zeus, Montana and Storm never thought about it.
"You guys were very young when I told the story of how we started the group," said Wendy. So they walked in and as they were walking Wendy could already feel like her brother was there. So did Crystal and Platinum.
"Wendy, I can feel his presence." Crystal said with tears. Jade stopped when she saw two stones with familiar names on them. Wendy's parents stopped. Atlas stood next to her.
"Auntie Jade, what's wrong?" asked Brooklyn. Jade still jumps when the pups call her Auntie. Zeus and Montana just smile.
"So you remember their names?" asked Wendy's father.
"Yes sir. My parents." Jade had a small smile. Everyone was confused but Montana and Sunshine knew the story.
"Father?"
"Yes Wendy. You weren't around this time. Jade's parents were killed by the guard that was sleeping on duty. Me, her parents and a few others had to fight against the enemies. Jade was handed over to Sunshine for protection and if anything would happen her daughter would have a home." He said.
"I saw Jade a few times here after that battle." said Wendy's mother. Storm looked at Jade and understood why she would cry everytime. "Wendy, he's there." The family walked over and saw a giant stone with a bolt on it. Platinum got his wife and sister. "Platinum and Crystal." They looked at them. "Thank you for being there for Wendy. Honestly I'm happy that she made friends. Who is now husband and sister-in-law."
"Atlas, over here please." said the grandfather.
"Yes grandpa."
"Jade."
"Yes sir." Jade bowed her head.
"You don't have to call me that anymore." Atlas and Jade looked at him. "Jade, I'm giving you my blessings for you to marry my grandson." Jade blushed looking at Atlas. "Now follow me to your parents." So they did. "Atlas and Jade put your paws on their stones and put your paws together." So they did and closed their eyes. After three minutes, Jade was crying and Atlas was shocked. "What did you see?"
"I saw my parents and they gave Atlas their blessings as well." Jade said. Atlas got up and moved a small rock that was behind. "Did you?" He showed her.
"Right where they told me to look. Its their old wedding bands. Jade's parents told us that we can have them but honestly I don't want to wear it. I would rather treasure them instead, maybe see if we can find a picture of them and put it there."
"So that for one we have them and put ours with theirs." Jade added. Atlas nodded and gave Jade her engagement pin. After seeing the Ninja family, Wendy and them headed home and made the announcement about the engagement. Sunshine was able to find a picture of Jade's parents, put it in a frame and placed it in their new room. The rings were put in a see-through box and placed in front of the picture of her parents.
