After an other long day at Yusho Duel School was finally home, he was now accostumed to the fact that Celina was a new student there as well so they obviously spent a lot of time together, he also came to know about her adoption as a daughter from Mr. Boyle and he couldn't be happier about that, but at the same he knew there was something not said between them, there was a piece missing for this to be perfect.
Changing course of thought he remembered about how things changed quickly in the other dimensions too.
In the XYZ Dimension Dennis became a dueltaining teacher, and he is now gifting smiles to thousands of kids to redeem himself from the past. Heartland City is slowly getting rebuilt from the ruins it was turned into during the war.
Lulu was finally home with her brother Shay, Yuto and their friend Kite, and they are finally living a peaceful life. EX Duel Academy soldiers like Aster Phoenix and the Tyler sisters are also there helping in the reconstruction works.
In the Synchro dimension the conflict between High and Commons was long over, and the city was now under the protection of the King himself Jack Atlas, and his common friends Crow and Shinji, Rin and Yugo also had their usual life back, bickering as always but that's how they like it, they also told Yuya and the others that the next Friendship Cup was on the way, without punishment to go underground this time of course, and it really picked their interest, Celina's competitive nature instantly was lit, it would be the chance for her rematch against Yugo, their duel was a spectacle (Yuya experienced it himself through their shared connection being Z-Arc as they now know) and the story would surely repeat, Yugo is a great friend but he would root for the blue haired girl obviously.
In the Fusion Dimension Leo Akaba ceased with his tyrannical way of raising his students as actual soldiers in his academy, which now was a respectable school where values as friendship and love were finally appreciated. The Z-Arc conflict taught Leo a lot, he was now trying in every way to follow his daughter's final words in treasuring her reincarnations so if any new evil would threat any of them he will be the first to step in. He owned that to Rei, but also to the 4 girls themselves, which he made suffer horribly, he didn' t know if the 4 would ever forgive him, but he would do his best either way.
They had no information about Yuri, but Sora said that he's his style to be in search of strong opponents to duel, not threatening anyone to transform them into cards like before, he may become their actual friend someday, who knows.
Then his thoughts came back to him, he was only one duel away to enter the pro league, it was what he wanted after all, showing his dueltaining skills to everyone and make them smile.
A particular smile was stuck in his mind.
He has last seen it today when they had an exibition duel at the end of the lesson, which ended in a draw.
"It was a fantastic duel Yuya, one of the best I've ever had" He remember her saying while smiling.
"Your dueltaining is getting better everyday Celina, I could see you were having lots of of fun, and that's the spirit" Yuya smiled to her too.
"Yeah, you were great guys!" Zuzu agreed while clapping.
"Between Yuya's Pendulum summoning and my girl's Fusion summoning I don't know what made me crazier" Said Mr Boyle with stars in his eyes.
"Dad, please..." Celina blushed feeling embarassed.
"You are too cute when you call me dad, I can't resist" Mr. Boyle hugged Celina as Yuya watched the touching family moment.
"Celina, your smile is the most beatiful I've ever seen... I'm so glad you have finally obtained happiness" He thought thinking of her while laying on the couch.
But still there is a longing feeling in his heart.
"Why do I feel so bad not having her beside me? I must have fallen in love..." He couldn't find any other explanation, he remembered enjoying himself when she kissed him, but some words were missing to make it official.
"Next time I see her, I have to confess my feelings, it won't be easy but I have to try. I know that I need her in my life now" He had taken his decision.
Just then an email was sent to his Duel Disk.
He soon opened it and the text said:
You are formerly invited to the official New Lancers Selection Party, it will be hosted by me at Leo Corp this saturday at 19 o clock and it will last until midnight. We can never know when a new menace will arise, but better be safe than sorry, I need strong and capable duelists like you. Signed by Declan Akaba.
"That's the perfect occasion!" Yuya said with excitement.
Little did he know that Celina was reading that same message sitting on her new bed in the now shared bedroom she had with Zuzu, and was thinking the exact same thing.
"Just the chance I needed... this time... I'll tell Yuya how I really feel" Celina thought as she laid on her bed, sleep taking over as she dreamt about that very moment that would change their life forever.
