My third drabble collection, this will be mainly drabbles written for the dw100 community, although there may be others inspired by other challenges. Characters and ratings will vary, both canon and non-canon can be expected, and suggestions are welcome.

Summary: The Doctor will never have the kind of life his companions do.

Sometimes the Doctor envies his companions. They travel with him by choice, knowing they have homes and families, lives they can return to when their travelling days are over.

He remembers the life that might have been his if he hadn't opened the watch, undoing all that the Chameleon Arch had wrought. John Smith, his wife Joan, and their children. Would he have been happier living that life, never remembering who he used to be?

He watches the people around him like a small child with his nose pressed to the sweetshop's windowpane, gazing at something far beyond his reach.
