Today, class was much more eventful for Issei. He had a new exchange student that was in his class, her name was Asia Argento. The boys in his class were in uproar while the girls were determined to protect her from the men in their academy.
Yet something was weird about her, he could feel something, an aura perhaps coming from her. It was as if... she was a demon, not in the figurative form, but rather, in the literal one, but she wasn't the only one, as he passed through the corridors he saw as many of the student council members also had this aura, he now knew what Believer of Sophia worked.
But he thought a bit about it, if they truly were evil they wouldn't be here in the first place right? Father Ichirouta told him that demons and fallen angels didn't act evil per say, but that he should be wary of stray and rogue ones instead.
So in the end he didn't bother questioning why this Academy was full of them. He simply went his way, only to be stopped by Kiba Yuuto again. And just like the others, he also had that same aura around him, he was also one of them. This confirmed that Yuuto was interacting with him for ulterior motives, as well as the fact that any time they met wasn't coincidence.
"Fancy meeting you here Hyoudou" Yuuto had a smile on his face, Issei noticed that he was accompanying the new student. "Ah, uhm nice to meet you too Hyoudou" She bowed her head as she greeted him.
"So are you showing the new student around?" Issei asked, from the looks of it, they already knew each other, could it be that this school was also made for demons to study as well? Most likely, and in the end they didn't really seem to do any harm to the humans in the school.
"Yes, I'm showing Asia around the place since she's a new student." Kiba was also using this moment to talk more to Issei to see if he could get more information. "Oh, by the way, while I met Asia at the park, I saw you go somewhere." He pointed out to see if Issei would say anything.
"Ah, well there is another church behind the abandoned one, it works as an orphanage and I ended up volunteering there." Issei answered truthfully, he expected Yuuto to know much about him, he was unsure just how powerful the biblical factions were, but from what Ichirouta told him, it could vary in what group they were aligned with.
"Oh, that is incredibly nice of you!" Asia commented, she seemed to have opened up to Issei as she saw his actions with good will. "I would also like to volunteer, would that be fine?"
Kiba frowned at this, he was unsure if to let Asia follow Issei and spy on him or not let her get close to the church, last time she was in one, she had died and had to be resurrected by Rias as a Bishop, if it weren't for her Sacred Gear, she would have been left there.
"Well, you'd have to talk to Father Ichirouta about that." Oh? a Father? Kiba seemed interested in this new information, what was a Father doing in demon territory? That question would be answered immediately by Issei. "Well, he's not really catholic? He used to but he ended up following another goddess."
"Well, I'm rather curious about that, it sounds rather interesting, mind telling us what goddess it is?" Yuuto saw this as another opportunity to get more information, if it wasn't a catholic church then it meant that the angels haven't yet entered the territory, it could still pose a problem, he didn't know if this new group was hostile to demons or not.
"He called her the Goddess Sophia, I won't get into detail, since a nun from the Catholic Church is here and it would be rather offensive to say what he had said." He scratched his neck as he simply avoided the question.
"Oh, what could have made Father Ichirouta stray from god?" Asia seemed sad, something that Issei noticed. "He discovered something he wasn't supposed to, or at least he didn't want to, and it ended up with him leaving the church." Issei still was unsure of the true story, but right now, he had to take Father Ichirouta's word as facts until he could come to his own conclusion.
"That is quite sad..." Asia seemed quite saddened by the events. Kiba then proceeded to move on with the matter. "Well, I'd say we should get moving now so we will be on our way Issei, it was nice having an interesting talk with you." It was enough information for now, he needed to report this to Rias as it was confirmation that the angels weren't here for now.
"Very well then, I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school." They both parted ways from their conversation, Issei had caught on that the factions were still in a bit of tension, so having someone who seemed affiliated with the angels in demon territory was a red flag, fortunately the church wasn't part of them so there wouldn't be any problems.
"Don't worry about the demons." Father Ichirouta said as he took a sip from his cup of tea. "We aren't hostile to them so we don't really pose a threat, if anything we'll just be under constant vigilance."
"That won't be a problem will it?" Issei seemed a bit concerned as he didn't know what Ichirouta did to make him busy. "No, we aren't doing anything unethical, and if we did, I would first inform you since you are simply a volunteer."
"Wait, so are you actually thinking of doing something unethical?" This alarmed Issei a bit, but Father Ichirouta calmly explained. "Well, it wouldn't really be anything serious, mostly just experimenting with my own body, I want to avoid having to get anyone else into this mess."
This calmed Issei down, but at the same time worried him. "How long have you been experimenting? And have you ended up using your own body?" This might end up being much more messed up than he originally thought, just like with the Literature Club.
"Mmm, I started when I first met the children, so basically 3 years ago or so." Father Ichirouta then continued to think. "And about using my own body in experiments... I think I only did it twice? I'm not really sure, but in the end it isn't really anything that is dangerous."
"Wait how can you forget something important like that?" Issei asked the wrong question as instead he wanted to know what the results were. "Oh and uh, what were the results?" Still, having 3 years of investigation meant that he must have done quite a bit of progress.
"Well, I didn't do them often, and also because there were no results with them, that is why I had problems remembering them, because there really wasn't any outcome." Father Ichirouta took another sip and got up. "But I got a few clues, Sophia was supposedly using Jesus as her form in the world of the living, only to be killed after the false god found out that she was trying to make everyone go to heaven."
Ok... this got incredibly weird, Issei was starting to be skeptical over the legitimacy of this, in fact it started to feel like something you'd read in mythology.
"Do you see what I am saying?" Ichirouta took out many papers "Why would angels be inhabiting the Earth? Shouldn't they be with Sophia as they are not supposed to make the material world their domain? It is because of the false god that they are now here, due to the fact that the angels believe that the false god is their God, they believe that they are supposed to stay in the material world."
"The apple that Adam and Eve ate was in actuality, Sophia's enlightenment, the original sin was not a sin but instead the realization to break out of the paradise created by this false god, a place where you were controlled by the false god, where you didn't have free will." Ichirouta finally finished. "So did you understand?"
Issei did not understand anything that Father Ichirouta said, and especially since the clue that Father Ichirouta said was never actually mentioned. "Uhm, the clue sir?"
Father Ichirouta then proceeded to facepalm as he realized that he had said stuff that was not necessary "Oh, I'm incredibly sorry, the clue is the apple that Adam and Eve ate, I've searched for it for a 2 years after I obtained the first lead and I have a few different apples that we could try, I am a bit hesitant to really experiment them on you, so I will give it some tests myself before we decide on the next step."
"In that case, mind we go to your workshop then?" Issei needed to know what he was working with, he had no idea on what he could help, but maybe Epistemophobic's Nightmare could help him in some way.
"Not now, maybe next time, we've stayed too long talking about this, I'd say you play with the kids now" Ichirouta seemed a bit embarrassed about his initial theory, he was incredibly crazy in that regard, but truthfully he just seemed someone who wanted the best for everyone, even if it was twisted.
"Alright, we'll continue tomorrow, I'll go play with them then." Issei stood up and went directly to where the kids were hanging out, he spent the next hours talking and playing with them.
"Say Issei." Ha Eun seemed to want to tell something to him. "Could you help me prepare some snacks?" Issei smiled as he responded "Sure I'll help." This way he could see what everyone liked and what everyone enjoyed doing.
"I usually ask Father Ichirouta about this but he's currently busy with his work" Ha Eun looked curious about what Ichirouta was doing in his workshop.
"Well, don't worry, I'm able to be of valuable help." Issei went with Ha Eun to the kitchen, he saw as there were two aprons, one of Ha Eun and one that was probably used by Father Ichirouta.
"Now then, do you know anything about cooking or baking?" Ha Eun was incredibly excited, Issei proceeded to respond. "Well actually yes, I do know how to." He thanked his mother and Natsuki for teaching him about it, even if it only was for a single day, it was one of his most enjoyable times.
"Alright, then I won't need to explain much to you, here I'll be making the dough, you take care of the whipped cream and cut the chocolate in small pieces!" Ha Eun seemed really energetic, she was passionate about cooking and liked sharing her dishes with the other kids.
As they continued to do so, Issei couldn't stop thinking about when he helped Natsuki make the preparations for the festival, despite it only being a week ago, it seemed already nostalgic to him. They ended up making many kinds of snacks, mostly different kinds of cookies.
Ha Eun noticed that there was a batch of them which had raisins in them. "Ew, why did we make raisin cookies?" Ha Eun seemed disgusted about it, but Issei laughed as he took it. "Well if you're not going to eat it I might as well." He didn't really like wasting good food, and it seemed like none of the other kids would like them.
As they went to where the other kids were, many of them went up to them to take the cookies. They spent a long time chatting and having fun while eating. Issei noticed that Grizelda was quiet and didn't take any of them, Issei went up to her to ask her about it.
"Hey Grizelda, why don't you take one of the cookies Ha Eun made?" This had a reaction in her as she slowly started to speak. "It's because I want to let others finish eating so I can take care of the remaining ones."
Ah, she was incredibly thoughtful to the point that she would do this kind of stuff. "Well it doesn't really matter this time, if you're first or last, chances are everyone will get to eat a cookie, so go ahead, the others are doing it, so you should too while they are still out of the oven." She still looked a bit conflicted.
Issei proceeded to try and convince her about it. "Listen Grizelda, there is nothing wrong with waiting and being patient, far from it, patience is a virtue, but you also need to know when you're taking it to the extreme, think of it this way, if you waited for a bus and it took too long to come, would you continue waiting or would you be walking home by foot?"
Grizelda thought a bit about it, but then responded. "I see, yeah I'd start walking home by foot, since I would be wasting less time. I get it now thanks for telling me this." She then proceeded to take a few cookies. It was much easier to convince a kid than he thought, usually they look up to older people for their advice.
Issei was happy that the kids were having fun, as they finished all the cookies, some of them went to sleep while others were doing their own thing. He went up to Tino who was writing in his notebook.
"Whatcha doing there Tino?" Issei asked gently, but this still startled Tino. "Ah!" Tino jumped a bit, his scream echoed around the church which got the attention of some of the kids and woke up a surprised Jadon. "Oh, it's just you Hyoudou, sorry about that, uhm, I'm just writing in my notebook some stuff." Issei spent a bit looking at what he was writing to realize that he was writing poems "Oh, are you writing poems?"
"Yes, it is a hobby of mine, I like to find a way to connect every single word, I have a habit of not stopping something once I've started it." Tino seemed a bit shy about talking at first but right now he was telling him everything he wanted.
"Well, that is admirable of you, oh by the way the verse here is a syllable off." Issei noted, when he started to write poems he didn't know much, but he studied to be able to understand them better.
"Damn, I didn't realize that." He proceeded to use his eraser to remove the whole verse and try to redo the whole thing. "Thanks by the way, I'll show you the poem later." Before letting Issei stand up and leave he wanted to know something first. "Oh, also, do you by any chance have an interest in poetry? You seem to know at least a bit."
"You're looking at the president of the Literature Club." While this was true, it was less impressive if you took in account the fact that he was the only member there, but that was something that Tino would never find out. Tino looked in awe as he found his new idol.
Issei went back to where Ichirouta was, this would be the first time he saw the workshop that Father Ichirouta had. As he went to where it was ubicated he knocked on the door as he made his way into the room.
"Ah, you're finally here Issei, it seems like your time with the children was much shorter than I anticipated" Issei looked around, he saw various glass boxes with apples inside, which he assumed were the apples that Father Ichirouta was talking about, there was a board full of papers and a small bookshelf full of books related to religion, the table was full of many tools, some of them Issei could recognize as surgical ones.
There were also various papers that had a photo of an apple, which he assumed were the various apples that Ichirouta had tried to find the one that Adam and Eve ate. "So what are we doing right now?" Issei asked, as Father Ichirouta took out a bunch of apples he kept quiet as he expected him to explain.
"I got these apples from various methods, some from exorcists, others from shops and there are some that I had to get my hands on myself." This made Issei wonder why some of the exorcists had apples on them, but ended up ignoring that question as Father Ichirouta continued to talk. "I will be consuming them, you will need to write anything that could be useful, such as anything that takes effect on me or any weird actions."
"Actually, I'd like you to let me eat them" This surprised Father Ichirouta who looked like he wanted to make sure he said what he said. "Are you sure about that? This is an experiment that could go either way and I am not sure how it would end."
It didn't really matter, Issei has Second Take in situations like this so he wanted to take advantage of it. "Yeah, it's ok, so how many apples are we going to use? And is there any sort of time that we need to wait for until I can eat another" Issei asked as he was unsure how the whole process would go.
"Well first of all, we wait a few minutes to see if there is any reaction, usually 30 minutes or so, and we'll be using as many apples as we can for each day if you don't mind." Ichirouta then took an apple out and handed it to Issei. "Here, have this one and see if it has any effect, you can decline if you have second thoughts."
Issei took a bite of the apple, waiting to see if there was anything happening to him, Father Ichirouta then asked. "Anything that you feel from it?"
"Well, there really isn't much going on, so I'd say we wait for a bit now." This process continued for a few times, none of them had any weird results. That was until they had found one that finally did have an effect.
Issei took a bite and ended up eating it. It was sour, like really sour, he didn't notice anything at first, but he felt a bit light headed, he supported himself with the table as he took a hand to his head, Father Ichirouta quickly went to his side. "Hey, Issei, are you ok? Does it hurt? Do you need anything? How does it feel?"
"Ah, well, I just feel light headed, I feel... like I know more, but I'm not sure..." "It feels like when I used Epistemophobic's Nightmare for the first time" Issei hypothesized that his skill could possibly be linked to the apple, the effects were the same, but his knowledge on stuff was much more minimal, yet it was about more fields rather than only one. "I feel like I know more, but it is so little that I can't really remember what I just learned"
Just then Issei slumped into the ground, Father Ichirouta quickly went to his side and asked "Hey Hyoudou, are you ok?! Is there something wrong after eating the apple?!" He noticed that Issei had just gone unconscious but there were no other signs of danger, so he put him on the table and decided to wait until he woke up.
Issei didn't know where he was, this felt like that time he went to that mysterious church during his dream, but this time, instead of a white landscape with blue colors or a black one with red colors, all he saw was green, it was a hill going up, and on top of there was an apple tree, he went towards it.
When he got to the top he noticed two naked humans, one male and one female, he knew who they were, they were Adam and Eve. Even when he tried to get their attention they ignored him. It seemed like he was simply a spectator this time.
He saw that an angel was giving them the apple, he could also hear as he said "Here is the forbidden fruit, you are allowed to eat it despite the name, I can promise you in the name of Yaldabaoth."
Yaldabaoth... What a strange name, was this perhaps the name that God had? Or was this a false name given to this angel? Once he woke up, he'd talk to Father Ichirouta about this. As he was thinking he saw as they both ate the apple, a loud sound was produced as both Adam and Eve had a hand in their head, as if they were in pain. Similar to him, they both went unconscious, but he saw as this angel turned into a winged beast, a dragon to be precise.
Had God or Yaldabaoth cursed him? He was getting invested in what was the story, but in the end he could not ask anything right now. Both Adam and Eve were taken out of Garden of Eden unconscious, he didn't know how they were moved, adding even more questions to the ones he already had.
Yet there was no presence of Sophia, maybe this angel was sent by Sophia to make them eat it, but at the cost of said angel being cursed, he began theorizing about the possibilities, but he started to feel as if he was waking up. His time in this dream was finally up.
Issei saw himself looking at the ceiling with Father Ichirouta at his side. "Ah, you're awake!" He helped Issei get up from the table and then proceeded to question him about everything that had happened.
When asked about how he felt, Issei noticed that there were pieces of information there that he didn't know he had, the memories of the dream were completely intact as well. "Mmm, it seems like the apple grants the consumer knowledge." He went to the table and started writing on it. "Do you have anything else? specifically about Sophia and such?"
"Well, not specifically Sophia but... I do know the mention of a name, it was Yaldabaoth." Issei continued to stay on the table as Father Ichirouta kept writing stuff about what was described. "The angel that you saw must have been Samael, I've read many texts that had this whole situation explained, yet this could mean that Samael simply took the fall for Sophia."
"In which case, I think you should continue consuming the apple at another time, you'll end up knowing the truth, that way we'll be able to prove that Sophia is the true goddess." Ichirouta paused a bit just to make sure that Issei didn't have anything to say. "But if you don't feel like continuing, I'll take the burden instead."
"No it's fine, I can handle it" He really could, it was simply his first time that this happened and it took him by surprise, yet he felt that something was off with the name Yaldabaoth, was that really the name of God?
"Anyways, I think you should rest, you ought to go home and have some sleep, I don't want my volunteering to end up in a terrible state." Father Ichirouta was worried about Issei, he wanted to know more, but his close ones were more important to him.
"Alright, thanks, I'll be taking my leave now." Issei left the church like the other times, he was exhausted but he could walk in a straight line. He still sensed the aura of a demon looking at him. "So Father Ichirouta was right..."
The day passed and right now Issei was coming back home from the church. He was now at the place where he looked at the old church, he walked down the path only to find Kiba Yuuto sitting on a bench. "Yuuto?" Issei asked, Kiba then looked at where he was surprised to see him. "Oh, it's you Hyoudou, it's a surprise seeing you up this late."
Issei sat down next to him, feeling a deja vu yet again, at the very least this wasn't the same place as he confronted both Sayori and Natsuki. "I could say the same for you, I was coming back from the church, what are you doing up at this hour?"
"Well, I'm just thinking, the Occult Research Club has a really bad morale due to something that happened." It was true, Rias couldn't do anything as her marriage had been confirmed she was to be engaged with Riser Phenex in the next few days. "I just feel powerless..."
Kiba had trained harder than anyone in the peerage, after all, it was Rias' gambit, her last option to try and break it as time was running out. She was about to do something incredibly rash but in the end the other members were able to calm her down.
Issei ended up looking forward as he realized he just had his first quest related to this story.
Quest #1
Prince Charming
Condition: Raise your relationship over 25 with Kiba Yuuto
Failure: Your relationship with Kiba Yuuto falls to 0
Accept
So it seemed like there was no time limit, he knew that right now was the best time to help him. "And why do you feel powerless?" Issei inquired, Kiba was currently in a terrible state of mind, and would simply tell him about his problems.
"I've known Rias for quite awhile now, in fact, I've know the other Occult members for a bit, we've all been in terrible situations and right now Rias, who has helped all of us, got into a problem of her own, we wanted to help but we ended up not being able to." Kiba still needed to make it sound like it was more of a human situation than simply say it was a Rating Game.
"I see, so you just wanted to help. You shouldn't feel powerless, do you still want to support her?" Kiba proceeded to nod at this. "Then maybe you'll find another way to help her, I'm sure that you guys can help her out, it is ok to fall back once in a while as constant pressure will lead to terrible decisions."
"You don't understand" Kiba was feeling a bit frustrated, while this did confirm that Issei had no idea of the supernatural, he was trying to help on something he had no idea about. "It is not a problem that can be solved later, it could only be solved before."
"Oh, sorry..." Issei felt a bit bad about commenting on that. "Well in that case, I guess I can understand why you feel powerless." He slumped back on the bench and looked at the night sky. "I've been in a similar situation."
"Really? Then tell me, did you also feel powerless?" Kiba didn't know if he was letting out his emotions or if he was curious. "Well, I used to know this girl that I liked, she didn't feel like deserved happiness, and I tried everything to cheer her up, in the end I was not able to help her in any form and she ended up leaving this world." He kept looking in the sky, still remembering that time. "So, I'm assuming Rias is still alive right?" Kiba nodded. "Then please make sure to stay at her side in these current times, it is the least you could do."
Kiba was unsure of what he had heard, who was this girl Hyoudou was talking about? He was curious, but what he said was true, even if Rias was incredibly frustrated about what had happened, he needed to stay by her side as her knight, he promised himself to be on her side, and right now it was that time. "Thanks for telling me, I'll just go there now since she needs every piece of support."
Issei smiled, this time it was easier to have someone listen to his advice, yet he didn't know if it would help in the long run, he had no idea what Kiba was talking about, yet he still wanted to help. "Before you go, is there anything else you want to talk about?"
Kiba Yuuto was a bit hesitant to really talk, but in the end he said. "Maybe another time I'll tell you more, so please let us share stories another time." He was curious about Issei now, just what was he hiding, he thought that it simply had to do with the church, but now it seemed like it was deeper than he thought.
Before he could leave the scene Kiba asked him one thing before he left. "I'd also like to see what the church is like. So, could you give me a tour another day?" It took Issei by surprise, but Kiba had planned something, the church didn't seem dangerous, and the members weren't really affiliated with any faction, in any case, he was still paranoid as his past haunted him, he wanted to make sure that there was no possibility for the church to be a cover up for anything else.
"Sure, I can help with that, I'll tell Father Ichirouta later about this if you don't mind." Issei saw as Kiba nodded and finally left, this left Issei to his thoughts.
With Kiba now gone, Issei was now recompiling every single piece of information that he got from the various bites from the apple. The Garden of Eden was created by Yaldabaoth, who had created the first humans. Sophia wanted them to eat the apple so they would be enlightened, she did this by using a creation of Yaldabaoth.
From this Issei could see that the biblical God was named Yaldabaoth, as he was the one to create Adam and Eve, Samael tricked both Adam and Eve to eating it, yet he didn't know if it was because of Sophia's intervention to lead them there, and the apple seemed to be the able to enhance his knowledge, Issei realized that as he noticed that it was increasing his Temperance stat a lot.
Yet he felt like something was missing, like part of the story was yet to be revealed or that there was a missing view. It would just simply be discovered in a few days possibly. He wanted to check on his relationship with Kiba Yuuto specifically right now.
Relationships
Story 2
Kiba Yuuto 12/100 - 0/100
Slowly he would be able to have Kiba open up to him, Issei still didn't know what kind of demon Yuuto was, but he seemed to be part of a peerage, perhaps one where the Occult Research Club members were part of.
He lacked information on the Three Factions, even with Father Ichirouta's teachings, he heavily made sure that anything that he said related to demons and fallen angels was what the Catholic Church told him, and that it could be false, so he needed to keep an open mind.
He remembered yet again his childhood friend, what would he say if he found out that God was a phony? He snapped out of his thoughts as he had stayed on the bench for a bit too long now. He got up and went to his house.
Maybe he could also have the children go out of the church for a bit as well, they seemed like they haven't really gone out much, Ichirouta had thought about doing so, but the problem was that the church would be left unattended and this could lead to problems, Issei understood, but now that he was here, it opened the possibility for him to take the children out to explore the town.
Issei wanted to try something new, while doing poems was fun, he wanted to see other kinds of arts and see how they would turn out, playing an instrument was not an option he would choose right now, it was far too expensive and he needed something much easier to get. He decided that drawing would be interesting to try, he wanted to see if the chances were different thanks to his Temperance or if he needed to do it all over again.
Taking his pencil and notebook, he proceeded to activate Epistemophobic's Nightmare, he went through the menu to see the probabilities, starting with the Magnum Opus Grade, it seemed like he didn't need to start over from the start.
You are attempting to create a Magnum Opus grade painting, would you like to proceed forward?
Chance of Success 10%
Yes/No
The probability was similar to that of a Magnum Opus poem, he usually avoided making them with Epistemophobic's Nightmare due to wanting to do it himself. He'd try at least once to see if he'd get it, but after that, he wanted to do everything himself, the system gave him the choice, and he desired self satisfaction and improvement over what was practical.
Unfortunately for him his first attempt ended with a failure, the page of the notebook was completely destroyed, but he didn't let that take him down, he simply went to try and do paintings without the skill.
He needed to buy some new materials for this. Maybe he could possibly create something pretty interesting.
(A/N)
A bit shorter of a chapter, but that is mostly because I found out that when I write dialogue it seems to be much shorter, you probably can see a drop in quality since this is a much more original concept compared to last arc where I had stuff to use from a game. It may be slow now, but I am pretty sure it'll pick up the pace, if not now, then in the next arc which is a big one that I am looking forward to writing (unless I add something before it).
So yeah, Rias ends up marrying Riser, like I mentioned before I made Asia Argento live mostly because it seemed like it was possible to happen, not sure where I will be taking this to, but stay tuned to when the mistakes of the past come back to bite me (cough cough Diodora cough cough) in the case of Rias, this was actually planned.
Yaldabaoth, the god that I was researching for this fic, perfectly fits what I have in store. You'll see later, and also I'll point it out. Another thing I want to note, and I know this sounds like an excuse, but I am rushing this arc a bit, not because I want it out immediately, but because I don't want to go really into depth on religious matter with Sophia, Yaldabaoth and the Bible.
For scrapped content I have a bit.
The church was originally going to be a cannibal cult, Father Ichirouta would have been a kid instead of an adult, and would be the leader of the cult and the 6 kids would have not appeared until a bit later, I'll get into details as this arc continues.
I was going to put Raynare and Issei interacting as Issei got his first quest to enter the Old Church while Rias and her peerage were fighting as well, but ended up with just skipping it, as it would also conflict with a later arc.
I was also going to give Issei a Trait related to the story which would have disappeared in the end of the story, which was (Lovestruck), now this trait was scrapped due to obvious reasons... I have no idea on how to write actual romance.
And that is pretty much it, there really isn't much interaction to make the chapter longer since I really REALLY don't want to add pointless conversations, I am thinking of making this arc 4-5 chapters long. I usually finish an arc and then recheck everything at once to make sure that I don't miss anything, this way I can post each chapter each day until the end of the arc.
I'll see y'all when I next update
