We all know The Smiling Critters. But what if there exists a world full of them exist they play a card game? What if there exists a world where a friend group of the critters we know of went through a sacrifice one of their friends have made and 2 of them must fix it through that card game? 7. Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Meeting With The Other Critters

A new day has arrived after what happened between CatNap and KickinChicken. It was now Thursday morning at 7AM.

CatNap was drinking coffee, moody as always. He didn't say a word until DogDay came downstairs.

"Good morning, CatNap!" DogDay said,

"...Morning." CatNap said,

"Still moody after what happened?"

"...Yes."

"Just let it go. You guys don't like each other anyway."

CatNap sighed.

"Sorry for shouting and pushing you yesterday…" He said, "I got carried away…"

"Don't worry about it, I'm used to getting shoved around." DogDay said, "And I'm used to being a punching bag…"

"Punching bag?"

"Long story. I'll tell you later. For now, let's get ready for school."

"Ok."

"Oh, and by the way, I recently got into a phone call with one of our friends."

"Really?"

"Yup, we're gonna meet with them after school to discuss some stuff, at the school's library."

"Like what?"

"You'll find out when we get there."

DogDay puts on his charm. CatNap looked at his charm, sighed and put it on.

"Alright, let's go." CatNap said,

3PM.

3 critters were talking to each other in their school's library now that classes were over. One was a blue elephant, one was a red bear and the other was a pink pig.

"Bubba, when is Hoppy coming?" The red bear wondered,

"She's not showing up, Bobby. She's with Kicken." Bubba replied,

"Oh…"

"And what about CatNap and DogDay?" The pink pig wondered,

"Oh, they are coming, Picky." Bubba replied, "And please, save your questions until we get stuff situated."

"Ok." Bobby said,

"Sounds cool." PickyPiggy said as she stretches her arms out,

Bobby then saw CatNap and DogDay coming inside the school library upon opening the doors to them. She waved at them and used her hands to tell them to come here.

CatNap and DogDay then sat next to Bobby and PickyPiggy as the two were with them and Bubba.

"Hello CatNap. Hello DogDay." Bubba said, "It's been a while."

"It sure has, Bubba!" DogDay said, "You three haven't changed a bit!"

"...Hey." CatNap said while still moody,

"...We know what happened between you and Kicken, CatNap." Bubba said, "And we're not mad."

"...Really?"

"Really."

"Ok, what brings us here?" DogDay wondered,

"Bobby and Picky have a lot of questions to ask you two." Bubba replied as he turned to Bobby and Picky, "If you two must…"

Picky clears her throat and points to CatNap.

"Did ya win the fight?" She asked,

"Wh-What?" CatNap said, confused,

Bubba face palmed. Bobby sighed and shook her head.

"Of course she's gonna answer that…" Bobby said,

"I-It wasn't a fight to see who wins…" CatNap said, "I just fought him because he was a pain in my ass.'

"Right." PickyPiggy said a she turned to Bobby, "You're turn."

"W-Wait, it's my turn?" Bobby said, surprised,

"Come on, I know ya want to answer them so many questions like I do."

PickyPiggy winked. Bobby blushed a bit.

"R-Right, ok, ummm…" Bobby said, "How are you two doing together?"

"Oh, we're doing fine!" DogDay replied, "We have some ups and downs, but we manage to fix those problems and move on!"

"Ok, good." Bubba said, "You two really need each other's backs."

"Of course." CatNap said, still moody, "Otherwise, I wouldn't live long."

"...That's a bit… depressing." Bobby said,

"Of course it is, Bobby. I'm an angsty feline with sleeping problems."

Bubba sighed as he turned to Bobby and Picky.

"Do you two have any more questions?" He wondered,

"Nope." PickyPiggy replied,

"No, I don't think so." Bobby replied,

"Ok." Bubba said as he straightened his glasses, "Now, let's move on to something important."

"And that is?" CatNap wondered,

Bubba looked at CatNap and DogDay.

"Are you two good at Duel Monsters?" He wondered,

CatNap and DogDay were surprised.

"Oh, you still play the card game that's popular and we have no idea what world it came from, huh?" CatNap wondered,

"Of course." Bubba replied, "And thanks to whatever technology we got, these cards are able to come to life."

Bubba then reached into his backpack and grabbed his deck of cards.

"But unfortunately, this library isn't a good place to duel here with our duel disks." He said, "Shall we lead you two to the courtyard?"

"Sure." CatNap replied,

"Yes, please!" DogDay replied,

Bubba, Bobby and PickyPiggy followed CatNap and DogDay to the courtyard of their high school. There, they saw a dueling field there.

"Huh, I didn't know our school had a dueling field." CatNap said, "Let alone, I didn't know our courtyard had one."

"Well it is a courtyard, where else would we put a dueling field?" Bubba wondered, "In the cafeteria?"

"I always thought a gym would work." PickyPiggy said,

"Me too, but the courtyard has more air."

"Anyways, who is dueling who?" DogDay wondered,

"CatNap, you did win the duel against Kicken, yeah?" Bubba asked CatNap,

"Yes." CatNap replied, "I did without losing a single life point."

"Excellent. DogDay, you'll be my opponent."

DogDay gasped.

"Me?!" He said,

"Yes, you." Bubba replied,

"I don't know… My deck isn't the brightest…"

"Don't worry, I'm sure it's still up to par."

"Ok, I believe you. Hang on, let me get ready."

"Take your time."

CatNap sat down on the bleachers next to Bobby and PickyPiggy.

"So, DogDay is gonna duel Bubba, huh?" CatNap said to himself, "Wonder what Bubba plays… It's been a year since I've heard of Bubba's deck… I hope DogDay uses his deck to his own knowledge because it's alright at best…"
