12. Chapter 11

Chapter 11: DogDay Vs Hoppy HopScotch: A Shocking Duel!

CatNap and DogDay then followed Hoppy to the backyard where a duel field was at.

"Woah." CatNap said as he and DogDay were shocked, "Of course one of your friends' yards has to have a duel field."

"Yeah, it ain't easy money to get." Hoppy said, "But it's worth hosting local tournaments that are popular online to make the money back."

"Cool."

KickinChicken clears his throat.

"ATTENTION EVERYONE!" He shouted, "MY GIRLFRIEND IS GONNA DUEL DOGDAY! COME OUT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN WATCHING THE DUEL!"

A few people were about to watch the duel between DogDay and Hoppy HopScotch go down. DogDay was on one side where CatNap and KickinChicken were at while Hoppy was on the other side.

"What strategy does your girlfriend have?" CatNap asked KickinChicken,

"Oh you'll find out!" KickinChicken replied, "Just shut your little mouth and watch the duel!"

"...Fine."

Hoppy chuckled.

"So, DogDay! You're ready to get your ass kicked by me?" She said as she unwrapped a piece of peppermint candy and started to munch on it, "Because I'm ready when you are!"

DogDay sighed as he activated his Duel Disk.

"Let's get this over with." He replied,

Hoppy chuckled as she activated her Duel Disk.

"Don't lose!" CatNap and KickinChicken both shouted as they looked at each other with stubborn looks and then looking back at the duel,

"Duel!" DogDay and Hoppy both shouted,

The duel has begun. It was Turn 1.

DogDay: 4000

Hoppy HopScotch: 4000

"Ha ha ha! Alright, I'll let you go first, since you started this whole fiasco!" Hoppy shouted,

"...Gladly." DogDay said as he looked at his hand and noticed one of his cards was Garbage Lord, "Oh, I can't use this card this time… What if she's got a powerful monster behind her curtains? Guess I gotta play it safe and test out one of my better monsters…"

DogDay showed a new card.

"I activate the effect of my Supay, Duskwalker!" He shouted,

CatNap was shocked.

"A new card?!" He said, "I've never seen one of them before!"

KickinChicken smirked.

"He's gonna ditch Garbage Lord, isn't he?" He wondered,

DogDay discarded Garbage Lord to the graveyard.

"And by discarding 1 card, I can Special Summon Supay, Duskwalker in Defense Position and also a Supay from my hand or deck!" He said,

Supay, Duskwalker was Special Summoned from the hand in Defense Position with 1900 DEF Points and Supay was Special Summoned from the deck in Defense Position with 100 DEF Points.

Hoppy whistled as if she was surprised.

"Look at you, boy!" She said, "You got a better monster than that crappy Garbage Lord of your's!"

"Well I'm not gonna waste life points this time." DogDay said, "I didn't want to take that risk."

"Oh, come on! Afraid to take risks like your's truly?"

"Not this time."

"Alright, whatever, wuss."

DogDay chuckled.

"Well this "wuss" is gonna tune his Level 1 Supay with his Level 5 Supay, Duskwalker!" He said,

A Synchro Summon has started with Level 1 Supay and Level 5 Supay, Duskwalker.

"Shine in the dark to help me lead this duel to the morning sun!" DogDay chanted, "Synchro Summon!"

DogDay played his Moon Dragon Quilla as it slowly appeared.

"Lead the night, Level 6, Moon Dragon Quilla!" DogDay shouted,

Moon Dragon Quilla was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 2500 ATK Points.

"Alright!" CatNap said, "He didn't bother to use that Garbage Lord!"

"Yeah, good for him, but Hoppy is gonna show him her ropes." KickinChicken said, "By kicking his ass."

"Whatever."

DogDay took a deep breath as he turned to Hoppy.

"It's your turn." He said,

"Oh, it's my turn?!" Hoppy HopScotch said, surprised, "Well, hot dog! Guess it's my turn!"

It was then Turn 2.

DogDay: 4000

Hoppy HopScotch: 4000

"I draw!" Hoppy HopScotch said as she drew a card and looked at it, "Oh, ho ho ho! You're gonna really regret it now!"

Hoppy HopScotch played a Spell Card, Summon Storm.

"I activate Summon Storm to start this turn off bright!" She shouted as she gave up 800 Life Points, leading her Life Points down to 3200, "And by giving up 800 Life Points, I can Special Summon a Level 6 or lower WIND monster from my hand!"

Hoppy HopScotch shows a rather strong monster from her hand.

"And this is a Level 5, so here comes Armed Dragon Thunder LV5!" She shouted,

Armed Dragon Thunder LV5 was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 2400 ATK Points.

"And here comes its own Special Effect!" Hoppy said, "By sending a monster from my hand to the Graveyard alongside the monster itself, I can Special Summon a Level 7 or lower "Armed Dragon" monster from my hand or Deck!"

Hoppy HopScotch sent her monster and a monster from her hand, being "Armed Dragon LV10 White" to the graveyard.

"So here comes a Level 7 Pile Armed Dragon from my Deck!" She shouted,

Hoppy HopScotch Special Summoned Pile Armed Dragon from her deck in Attack Position with 2800 ATK Points. It roared at DogDay.

"That's a scary thing!" He shouted,

"Ha ha, but it's powerful as well!" Hoppy shouted,

KickinChicken chuckled.

"You're seeing this, aren't you, CatNap?" He asked CatNap, "This is one of my girl's powerful dragons!"

"...Yeah…" CatNap said, "It's cool."

"That's it? Just cool? No badass or super special awesome?"

"Yup."

KickinChicken sighed.

"Whatever." He said, "It's tolerable at least."

Hoppy HopScotch giggled.

"Alright, DogDay, prepare yourself to experience Pile Armed Dragon's shocking ability!" She shouted as she searched for an Armed Dragon LV10 and sends it from the deck to the graveyard, "By sending another Armed Dragon monster from my deck or hand to the Graveyard, I can target any monster on my field for it to gain 300 Attack Points times the level of the monster sent to the Graveyard! …And since Pile Armed Dragon is that only monster, then it gains 3000 Attack Points since the monster sent to the Graveyard's level is 10!"

Pile Armed Dragon's ATK Points has raised up to 5800.

"Oh, shit." CatNap said,

Hoppy raised her fist up.

"Battle time!" She shouted,

The Battle Phase started as Hoppy pointed at Moon Dragon Quilla.

"Pile Armed Dragon!" She shouted, "Go strike down Moon Dragon Quilla!"

Pile Armed Dragon roared as it dashed towards Moon Dragon Quilla to attack it.

"Not so fast!" DogDay shouted, "Moon Dragon Quilla's effect activates!"

Moon Dragon Quilla's moon started to shine.

"When you target it for an attack, then I gain Life Points equal to half of your attack monster's ATK Points!" DogDay said, "Pile Armed Dragon's ATK Points is 5800, so I gain 2900 Life Points!"

DogDay's Life Points were raised up to 6900.

"Yeah, that's cool and all, but you still take the damage." Hoppy said,

Pile Armed Dragon then destroyed Moon Dragon Quilla with a slash on the moon, dealing 3300 points of damage to DogDay while he loudly groaned in pain.

"Ok, he's still alive!" CatNap said, "Good!"

"He's got no other monsters left on the field, so his next turn will probably be useless." KickinChicken said,

DogDay's Life Points were now at 3600. He looked at Hoppy.

"That's all you got?" He said,

"Oh, now you're gonna trash talk me, huh?" Hoppy said, "Alright, cool."

Hoppy places 2 cards face-down in the Spell/Trap Zone.

"I set 2 and pass it on to you." She said, "And Pile Armed Dragon's ATK Points are now down to 2800."

Pile Armed Dragon's ATK Points are now back down to 2800.

"Ok, this is it." DogDay said as he closed his eyes, "It's now or never… I gotta do something or else I'll never come back from this duel!"

It was now Turn 3.

DogDay: 3600

Hoppy HopScotch: 3200

"Draw!" DogDay said as he drew a card from his deck and looked at it, "...Perfect."

DogDay then smiled.

"Alright, let's do this!" He said as he showed another new monster, "I activate Ascator, Dawnwalker's effect!"

CatNap gasped.

"No way, another new monster!" He shouted,

"What the?!" KickinChicken shouted, "I thought his only Level 5's were nothing but Garbage Lords and The Trickies!"

DogDay discarded a card called, "Contact "C"" to the Graveyard.

"And like Supay, Duskwalker, I can discard a card to Special Summon Ascator, Dawnwalker in Defense Position, but instead of Supay, I can Special Summon Fire Ant Ascator from my hand or deck instead!" DogDay said, "So let's raise the light!"

Ascator, Dawnwalker was Special Summoned from the hand in Defense Position with 1500 DEF Points and Fire Ant Ascator was Special Summoned from the deck in Defense Position with 1300 DEF Points.

"And on top of that, I'll discard a card to Special Summon The Tricky in Attack Position." DogDay said as he discarded, "Jar Of Avarice," "So come out too, The Tricky!"

The Tricky was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 2000 ATK Points.

"Oh, there's a copy of The Tricky." KickinChicken said, a bit frustrated, "Cool."

"Just cool?" CatNap said,

"SHUT IT!"

DogDay pointed at the sky.

"Here I go!" He shouted, "I tuned my Level 3 Fire Ant Ascator with my Level 5 Ascator, Dawnwalker!"

Another Synchro Summon has started, but this time with the Level 3 Tuner Fire Ant Ascator and Level 5 Ascator, Dawnwalker.

"With the sun shining, this monster will stand strong as long as the sky's the limit!" DogDay chanted, "Synchro Summon!"

Sun Dragon Inti slowly appeared.

"Let's shine together, Level 8, Sun Dragon Inti!" DogDay shouted,

Sun Dragon Inti was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 3000 ATK Points.

"And there's that other monster of your's." Hoppy said as she yawned, "Alright, let's get this shit over with. Try to attack me!"

"Gladly!" DogDay said, "Battle!"

The Battle Phase started.

"Sun Dragon Inti!" DogDay shouted as he pointed at Pile Armed Dragon, "Attack Pile Armed Dragon!"

Sun Dragon Inti's four dragons started to roar as the sun on it shined.

"Gotcha!" Hoppy shouted, "I activate the Trap Card, Armed Dragon Thunderbolt!"

One of Hoppy's face-down cards was activated, being Armed Dragon Thunderbolt.

"By targeting Pile Armed Dragon, it gains 1000 ATK Points for each one of my other Armed Dragons in my Graveyard with an equal or lower level and with different names from my Pile Armed Dragon!" She said, "But you don't take Battle Damage from it, unfortunately, but that's good because I can get rid of that dumb sun dragon of your's!"

Pile Armed Dragon's ATK Points are at 3800 now as it destroys Sun Dragon Inti and sends it to DogDay's Graveyard.

"There, I destroyed it!" Hoppy shouted,

DogDay chuckled a bit.

"What? What's so funny?" Hoppy wondered,

"Did you forget Sun Dragon Inti's effect?" DogDay wondered,

Hoppy then saw her Pile Armed Dragon being destroyed. Then, she felt a yellow aura burning around her as she took 1900 points of damage, dropping her Life Points to 1300.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" She shouted,

"When you destroy Sun Dragon Inti by battle, he can destroy the monster that destroyed it and you take damage equal to half of that destroyed attacking monster's ATK Points." DogDay said,

"YOU TRICKED ME YOU ASSHAT!"

DogDay then pointed at Hoppy.

"Well this "asshat" is gonna end this duel, right now!" He said, "The Tricky will now attack you directly and end this duel!"

The Tricky then launched towards Hoppy to attack her, draining her Life Points down to 0.

"Yes! DogDay has won!" CatNap said,

"Oh, come on!" KickinChicken shouted with anger, "What a bunch of crap!"

Hoppy almost lost balance as she lost the duel. She clenched her teeth.

"Bullshit!" She shouted, "You just got lucky!"
