Dakota giggles helplessly as Gatomon chases the ball that she'd thrown across the room, batting at it. She may be mostly a cat, but her instincts from Salamon remains, and she plays like a puppy more often than not. "You're so cute," she coos, watching as Gatomon bats the ball back over to her. "Come here. I just need a minute." She holds Gatomon close as soon as her partner comes up to her and Gatomon purrs, enjoying Dakota's warmth as she nuzzles into her.

"I'm sorry I can't get you home," Dakota says after a few moments. "Everyone's still trying to figure out what happened, why we're blocked from using the digiport. It's just... it's difficult to figure out."

"I know," Gatomon says softly. "I don't blame you."

Not only is the Digiworld their homes, it's also the digimon's source of power, their connection to their true strength, and while on earth, they're mere pets, unable to attack or properly attack unless they're fed a ton of food regularly. Which the digidestined do their best to accomodate, but it's clearly not ideal.

Dakota hugs Gatomon closer, exhaling slowly, when her digivice chirps. A sound she hasn't heard in a long time, but when she checks it, it's just a text message from Seth Rollins sent to all of them.

Ariya Daivari thinks he's figured out what happened. I'll relay what he's told me to everyone who's there, meet up by the digivice.

Dakota blinks at the short message, wishing that she could just find out now, not have to wait until the show on Monday. She presses a kiss to the top of Gatomon's head and exhales. "It's gonna be ok," she says, deciding to just trust in what Seth is saying. "We're going to get you home."

Gatomon nods. "I trust you," she says.

Dakota is glad someone does, because right now she's really concerned that she's just getting her partner's hopes up. But Seth isn't the type to make claims he can't keep, so she decides to believe in him as well.
