Chapter 140: Kuaidul in the Multiverse of Madness

Seemingly inhospitable.

Standing on a piece of chashu in soup in a world limited to a single bowl of ramen, Kuaidul ordered his monster to attack.

He was serving up some pain.

"Yuki Judai. The exceptional Duelist capable of controlling Spirits."

"You're the one responsible for the string of incidents of cards going missing around here, huh?"

"Regrettably for you, I'm not the sinful party. But it's true my Deck is a different dimensional area with the cards of my experimental subjects."

Kuaidul knew who Judai was tangling with, given he was spouting off almost identical lines.

"My objective in this world is already accomplished. But it's an honour to run into a legendary Duelist of history…even if slightly different from the Yuki Judai I grew up watching. I think I'll extend my stay."

"This world?"

"Show me a Duel that can only be forged by bonds beyond time!"

"You're asking for it!" Judai's eyes glowed heterochromatic, and Yubel unfolded phantom wings behind him. "I'm pumped to beat you down!"

"My first turn. Proto-Velgear Draw. I summon Prime Drake, and I release it to Prime Advance Summon. Appear now, Prime Cyber End Dragon!"

"You! How dare you use Kaiser's card! And without Fusion?"

"The Prime series can be summoned for one release by sacrificing their ATK. Normally, that would be a disadvantage, but I force the Equip Magic, Prime Neutron Sabre, upon Prime Cyber End Dragon, letting it regain its original ATK."

With or without a 4000-ATK monster, Kuaidul couldn't attack the first turn.

"I set two cards. Turn end."

"Here I go! I'm gonna show you the power of my Hero Deck! It's my turn! Draw! I summon Featherman and Burst Lady, and I fuse them on the field! Come out, Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!"

"At this moment, I activate a Trap! Prime Changer! This reduces Prime Cyber End Dragon's Level, and it can't be destroyed by card effects this turn!"

"If card effects won't work, we'll decide this by battle! I activate the Magic Card, Birth of Hero! Up against a monster with 2000 or higher ATK than him, this turn, my Fusion Monster gets 2500 ATK up!"

"I set a card! Go, Flame Wingman! FLAME SHOOT!"

"I didn't alter my monster's Level without cause. Now I activate the Trap, Prime Reverse Edge. Flame Wingman's original ATK of 2100 is added to Prime Cyber End Dragon, which is currently Level 8."

"My turn. Proto-Velgear Draw. I activate the Field Magic, realm of first bubbles, Prime Bubble Kingdom."

"Prime Bubble Kingdom?"

"I summon two Intersprimes and release one to Prime Advance Summon. Prime Claw Girl!"

"Prime Cat Straynya's attack still remains!"

"Trap Card, Hero Spirits!"

Flame Wingman suddenly reappeared to block the direct attack.

"Since an Elemental Hero was destroyed this turn, Hero Spirits makes the damage from one opposing monster 0!"

"Faced with a future set in defeat, you struggle through thick and thin. Exceptional! Truly exceptional! This is a prime example of human contradiction. Turn end."

"My turn! Draw! I summon Sparkman!"

"Judai's Theme" played. It was hard for Kuaidul not to fanboy.

"Magic Card, Miracle Fusion! I can place the required monsters from my field or Graveyard on the bottom of my Deck to Fusion Summon an Elemental Hero! I place Sparkman from my field and Flame Wingman from my Graveyard. Come out, Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman!"

"Oh-ho? Skyscraper? I should have seen that coming."

Looking ahead, they were only a couple episodes from Yuna "Jean Michel Roget"-ing herself. The criminally insane part-machine unicyclist Roget controlled whose motto Kuaidul quoted while bathed by Shining Flare Wingman's bright green rays was fitting.
