The title picture was one that I commissioned and full credit goes to the artist ITZELDRAG108 so thanks again. The fanchild's design is based on Isadora Moon the British cartoon that premiered a year ago for young children and has been added to Max where it's available (and where Creature Commandos is part of but isn't yet available here in the UK) and it's an adaptation of a kids book series of the same name. About a daughter of a fairy and a vampire and has a catchy theme song. Wanted to use this design and the name for this fanchild.
This was going to be the first chapter of a new story but I decided to change this story into a series of unrelated oneshots about the couple idea from them at Grimwoods to this and potentially other fun AUs. Plus some pilot first chapters for more potential stories starring them. I uploaded two oneshots from here as the first two chapters of the AO3 version.
We look into the future for the start of this tale; early in the night in a house in Great Lakes City, Michigan. A preteen young girl in a pink dress and jacket with pinkish skin, pointed ears and fangs was looking out the window. She got excited as swooping down was a dark purple female bat; "Mum!" said the girl excitedly as the bat transformed into a beautiful vampire woman with dark purple hair, light purple skin and a dark purple dress crop top with sleeves and a dark purple dress with a dark red sash like belt.
"Always fangtastic to see my darling Isadora again but shouldn't you be in bed?" the woman asked her daughter as she then ran to hug her legs and the woman returned it.
"I was going to but... I wanted someone to greet you when you got back home." Isadora replied as the woman then frowned somewhat at Isadora said.
"Where is your father?" the woman asked as Isadora showed her to the living room of the house where on the couch in front of the TV there was a lean orange shirted man with white hair lying on the couch asleep with a blanket over him. "Let me guess... He overworked himself to tiring himself out..." the woman asked with a sigh and Isadora nodded.
"He was feeling tired when we played games afterwards so I got him a blanket and put him to bed." Isadora said referring to the games consoles at the TV which was used by both of them The woman shook her head.
"You know that your father is supposed to parent you and not the other way around..." the woman asked jokingly amused and then found a rabbit plush toy by her husband's head.
"I thought that Bun-Bun could help Dad sleep. He was Dad's friend before he was mine." Isadora explained and the woman thought about how thoughtful and sweet this was as she then handed Bun-Bun to Isadora.
"Why don't you get ready for bed dear?" the woman asked as Isadora nodded and then left to her bedroom as she then shook her husband awake. "Hello and good night to you Lincoln dear." the woman said to her husband.
"...You're back... I really zoned out there... Got all the work done on the remaining issues; getting it to how I wanted it and had to redo some pages and panels but... Could barely enjoy time with Isadora..." Lincoln said apologetically getting up referring to his job as a comic book artist and writer. "How was your day Sibella? Quite busy with the late night getting home?" Lincoln asked his wife as Sibella sighed.
"Had to meet representatives of all sort... Sort out some details... Getting things ready for when father retires and I'm even busier as the new Countess..." Sibella explained as her father THE infamous Count Vlad Dracula was stepping down as leader of the vampires and pretty much unofficial leader of the monster community on Earth.
"Between the both of us and how busy we are... We would need to look for a nanny if Isadora wasn't going to Grimwood's... Going to be working while answering messages from Isadora at school..." Lincoln said starting to frown and Sibella did the same.
"Barely enough time for ourselves to just spend time together..." Sibella then said as Lincoln sighed.
"I should be alright after I turn this my work and would just have to for the meantime answer any press stuff that I get sent to me..." Lincoln then said as Sibella then as she listened. "If only you were able to just drop the work and we could have time for ourselves..." Lincoln then said as Sibella's eyes shot up.
"You know... I could use the break and we could... Just a week to ourselves... We could get someone to watch over Isadora for us..." Sibella then suggested as Lincoln's eyes shot up.
"But how about your work to take over..." Lincoln started to ask as Sibella then waved it off.
"Do you know how often Dad just went on his own devices instead of focusing on his duties... I've done enough to prepare myself... I should practice putting my foot down on this... Go on the waters with my darling husband... Just us... Some time to relax... Conceive a sibling for Isadora..." Sibella said slyly as Lincoln blinked and then smirked.
"Okay but who would we be able to do on such short notice?" Lincoln asked thinking it over:
their friends and old classmates from Grimwood's adored Isadora but they were living too far away.
Dracula himself was in Transalyvania dealing with preparations for his retirement while sending messages and calls for his daughter to help with the transfer.
Clyde was out of town.
Shaggy and Scooby Doo would be preparing for the new term at Grimwood's; Ms Grimwood had retired and left the school to the beloved gym coaches to be the new co-headmasters.
Lisa... No way; they wouldn't trust her alone with Isadora ever since an incident where she tried to use the newborn to run tests on a human and vampire child. Lincoln's tolerance for her experiments was nowhere like it was when they were kids and especially when it came to his only child.
Lily busy with college.
Lola busy trying to find work after her talk show was cancelled.
Lana was working as a mechanic for race car drivers.
Luna was on tour with her band.
Leni working on fashion in another state.
Lynn Jr trying to find a new team after her latest rough housing incident and they don't quite trust her with taking care of Isadora anyway.
Lucy was busy for the new term at Grimwood's as the magic teacher.
Luan was another that they didn't quite trust with Isadora and she was on a comedy tour anyway.
Lori was in the city but she had her own kids to worry about and didn't know if she would have enough time.
Perhaps Lincoln's parents... Rita retired from her job and Lynn Sr was hands off more as the owner of Lynn's Table.
"...Be good for grandpa and grandma..." Lincoln said hugging Isadora outside his childhood home the Loud House in Royal Woods; he then hugged his parents. "Thanks so much for agreeing on short notice..." Lincoln told his parents but they waved it off.
"Don't worry about it Lincoln; you two needed some time for yourselves and besides, we would love to have Isadora around..." Rita then said as they shared a hug with their only son.
"We will take good care of Isadora." Lynn Sr then said as Sibella then flashed them a terrifying look that said 'you'd better' and it made them gulp; they felt the fear that them being her in laws would save them from the wrath of Dracula's daughter if something did happen. The older couple waved with their granddaughter to Lincoln and Sibella who waved back before going into their ride.
"Come on in Isadora dear... We will handle your bags... Just pick your own room upstairs..." Lynn Sr then said as Isadora skipped inside and went upstairs; she then looked at the doors and there were many to choose from. She went for the closest bedroom and went in and just about tripped on something from the floor and banged her head on something that fell out of one of various boxes in there.
"Oh sorry Isadora dear... Forgot but we were using this one to store stuff that your Aunt Lisa was sending our way... Something of wanting to get old and unstable tech away before inspectors come..." Lynn Sr said and there was a green flash and Isadora felt herself turning around feeling dizzy...
