OKay so in that New 52 comic it was Mera who did the dehydrate thing so thanks to the AO3 for pointing it out but I still think Arthur himself could pull it off.

Some spoilers for Boys Season 3.

The Batman going looking over the buildings of Gotham; the orphaned billionaire turned unstoppable powerful scourge off the criminals and corruption plaguing the city. However he soon saw a figure flying towards him with a smile and glared at him beneath his mask; Homelander the mascot off Vought International the company that markets and manages the fake 'heroes that smile to the cameras as they effortlessly take down crimes and save people while focusing on collecting endorsement deals, keeping the public image and endosing in destructive behaviour with little to no care for the people they were supposed to be protecting.

"So we have heard about you Batman and how we seem to have nothing on you so I am here to personally welcome you to the Vought family!" Homelander said showing off his fake smiles as he faces him and offers a handshake that was ignored. "So... I can kind of guess from the mask but with the weird silent thing you have going on, you want to imitate my best bud Black Noir which I can all get behind... But listen; things will get a lot harder for you if you think that you are too good for Vought..." Homelander said the fake persona not leaving his demeanor but the Batman turned away from him.

Homelander's facade fell and he turned and grabbed the Batman by the collar; only able to do so because the Batman was giving so little thought and effort in dealing with him. "You listen here; you are with Vought or against us! You are only a superhero if you work with us; otherwise you are a villain and I don't take kindly to anyone snubbing Vought or more importantly me! Plus I am kind of looking forward to making sure you learn your face as your skillset is awfully similar to mine so in case you have any big ideas on trying to be the next me or copy me..." Homelander threatened showing the anger on his face and the Batman decided to end this.

One forceful punch literally knocked his head off and the Batman kneeled down in front of the Homelander's corpse with the blood in shock; it seems that Vought's boasting about how strong and indestructible he was with how not even nuclear weapons could harm him were only ever just boasts. If he knew this; he would never have punched with as much force as he did.

Still; unfortunate and accidental breaking off his no-killing vow aside; this could be used to send a message.

Right there on the main table of Seven tower was a message from Batman to stay away from Gotham along with the Homelander's head. Vought was speechless as nothing in their private records showed anything to suggest that they had a rogue Supe able to behead Homelander and they were struggling to think of how to spin this or replace him.

After the Batman was last seen taking down the Joker in Gotham; a new superhero with powers similar to Homelander debuted known as Superman and he proved to be everything that Homelander pretended to be. Like the Batman; he stayed away from Vought and actually spoke out against him, he actually took care to help the people he saved making sure they were alright. He even took care off the Super-Terrorists created by Homelander none-lethally and Superman's popularity helped convince idealistic young Supes to forgoe Vought entirely and they were helpless to do anything.

Desperate they staged a rescue off Soldier Boy from the the Russian facility that he was held and sent him after Superman; the confident Soldier Boy tried his strongest punch to Superman but he was not only phased but the punch broke his hand. After Vought's last hope was metaphorically killed; Superman told Soldier Boy it was a shame as he thought that he could have been an actual true hero.

I just realised that I may have forgotten to mention that this particular Batman is the one from Batman: Speeding Bullets the Elseworlds comic where Kal-El was found by the Waynes and raised as Bruce but I don't know why I am even bothering to point this out: not like anything in this chapter would have you surprised.
