Ch 6 Tonks, Susan, and Hannah 1.
Tonks had just gotten back to Grimbauld's place, she had another exhausting day of following Harry. While she made her way to the room she got from Sirius her emotions were getting too much for her. The last part she rushed on, dropped head first down on the bed with her head in a pillow. Sirius had seen her coming in and followed her up with his eyes. When she rushed on he knew that something was wrong. "That bad ay," he said while she buried her head deeper into her pillow. Sirius wasn't sure but he was sure he could hear a muffled scream.
"It's horrible and I can't do anything about it," She said as she lifted her head a little.
Sirius frowned and walked into her room while closing the door behind him.
"Silencio", sounded her muffled words from deep in her pillow while her right arm and wand waved a little in the air.
Sirius pulled out a secondhand wand from one of his old family members. "I Just did it also," he told her. Slowly she lifted her head and Sirius saw that her eyes were red and puffy. "What happened" he asked her softly as he placed his hand on the lower end of her back.
Tonks looked at him she opened her mouth "I can't tell you".
Sirius placed his hand higher on her back and rubbed it up and down. "I know you have been fishing about Harry all over, so what is the problem?" Tonks looked at him but shook her head. "Alright, I get it. You are on a mission and you are not clear yet. So you can tell me when you know. For now what do you need and how can I help you".
"Am I that easy to read?" Tonks asked him.
Sirius gave her a small smile "I was also trained by that crazy eyed freak, so I know what to look for". Sirius looked ahead while he kept on rubbing her back up and down. "When you told me about my Lordship. I started to think about the other things you asked and did. You asked about Harry and it was clear you didn't like how he is kept in the dark". Tonks popped up on one elbow and looked at him. "I don't like it either but there is nothing I can do about it. If I go to him I will get arrested. If I write to him it might be getting to one of those Muggles he lives with. That Hermione and Ronald didn't write to him is just sad. Remus is thinking about going to him but he does not know how to approach him. After he had been his professor, he kind of dropped the ball with him too. Severus has told everybody he was a werewolf so he isolated himself after all the hate letters he got".
Tonks did understand what he was telling her. She could also understand why Remus acted that way. But it also told her, that Harry Potter had been on his own more than once. "I just don't like it, something is very, very wrong".
"Albus knows what he is doing," Sirius told her.
Tonks looked at him and nodded. "I think you're right," she told him. "I'm probably seeing things that are not there". Her mind was screaming, watch out. If he is on the hand of Albus it could be much worse. For now, do not trust him anymore.
"Nym, Go to the office, get the stuff, and come get takeout," The Patronus from Andromeda told her.
"You go home first. After you get back look me up and I will see what I can do to help you". Sirius started to walk away but stopped. Why do you have to go to the office of your father first, before you go eat".
"You know my dad if he is working he forgets everything, so I have to get him first or mum will be mad". Sirius smiled as he told her that's Andy for you. Tonks hugged him and started to make herself ready. She did not know why she had to go to the office first but she would see why when she got there. She also knew that when her mum said office she knew it meant the Auror office and not the one of her dad.

Amelia was waiting for Tonks to show up. She was standing in the doorway of her office keeping Susan and Hannah away from the Aurors. There were only a couple of them but she didn't want any talking before Tonks got her. When Tonks walked into the office she gave a little sigh. "Glad you could make it Tonks. It is so nice of you to take my niece and her friend out for the night".
Tonks halted for a moment until she got what her boss wanted from her. "You know me, boss. I always like to take the kids to the movies and dinner".
"Tonksyyyy" Susan screamed as she rushed to Tonks for a hug.
Tonks took the hug "Thank you Susan, but we first have to go to the office of my father. I need to drop something off". Both girls nodded as they followed Tonks.
Amelia closed the door and left her office a couple of minutes later. She knew where she had to go and also that Tonks took the girls there by detour. When she Aparated into the muggle neighborhood, the second home of the Tonks she saw that the girls had not yet arrived.
"Amelia, you're early," Andromeda said as she gave her friend a fast hug.
"Yes, I know. Tonks is taking the girls. She will be here a little later but she always takes them to that M restaurant. I never do, and the girls love those little chicken nuggets. It will make it easier on what I have to ask them later tonight". She saw the asking look from Andromeda. So she pulled out the little pensive to show them what she had discussed with Albus that afternoon.
"So his school life had more things happening to him than the last year alone," Ted said as he got a thoughtful look.
"More," Amelia asked as Ted started to tell her about the things he had found out that day. "So, in other words, Albus, too many names Dumbledore has been keeping him in the dark almost all of his life. But he doesn't know anything about it himself".
"Something like that," Ted told her. "I do wonder if he knows anything about being a Lord. When he turns seventeen he better know about this stuff or they will be sweeping the floor with him". Ted said it with a little laugh, but after a moment and the looks of the two females he stopped. "You two think he doesn't know anything, do you".When they were shaking their heads he started to think he was oblivious to everything.
"Aunty, you are already here," Susan asked in a fake surprise.
Amelia just gave her a look and a little smile. When she looked at Tonks she could see the trouble in her eyes. She could do nothing about it now but was sure Andromeda would tell her tomorrow morning when they had tea. "Alright we are here to have a muggle dinner" Amelia started to say but stopped when Ted held up his finger. She nodded at him to say it.
"Well we will have some serious talks later on so why don't we go and have Chinese takeout. I'm sure the girls would like to go with me to get it in the car". Both Susan and Hannah jumped at the chance to have a ride in a car. It was one of the things they liked in the muggle world. Plus when they went with him they could choose what they wanted to eat.
Andromeda smiled as Ted left with the two girls. It would take him about thirty minutes and that was enough to ask Tonks what was wrong. "Alright Nymphadora, what is wrong," Andromeda asked. Amelia saw that it was really bad because Tonks didn't react to the name. "You finally talked with Harry," Andromeda asked as Amelia looked startled.
Tonks shook her head slowly. "I have to talk to him, but it is going to be very hard. I don't know how to approach him or even how to start. To tell you the truth, I'm afraid that he will hex first, hex again, and talk later. That is if he wants to talk at all". Tonks started to look at her hands again and Amelia knew she was getting nervous. "I think there is something wrong in that house. They are not hitting him, but something just doesn't seem right. I have been following him again today and sometimes I walked passed him. When I did, I swear I could feel his magic reaching out to me. It was like it grabbed me and felt me all over. Like his magic was judging me. To tell you the truth, it did feel good. If it didn't I would have to arrest him for molesting me.
"No he can't be that strong" Amelia whispered mostly to herself
"What" Tonks asked as she saw the shocked looks from her mother and her boss.
Andromeda placed her hand on the hands of her daughter. "Baby" she started. "It is told in legends that only the strongest magical's could feel around with their magic. In history, there had only been one person who was said to be able to do it. That person was Morgana Le Fay".
Tonks was just opening her mouth as she looked at her mother. She turned her head as she heard Amelia starting to talk. "Not only that but also that she was a dark witch. Even Darker than Voldemort. It is never proven that she was bad but not good either. She was the first to turn into a bird and had the legendary duel with Merlin. It was also said that she was the best healer there ever was, even better than Merlin himself She is the half-sister of King Arthur and the ruler of Avalon".
"Are you saying that Harry is related to Morgana" Tonks asked.
"We don't know but it is said that certain Abilities are only seen in the blood of relatives. So if he is able to feel around with his magic, he might be" Andromeda told her.
Tonks threw up her hands. "You know what, that would be the least of his problems if what I think is true". Both Andromeda and Amelia didn't say a thing and only waited. "Like the last three days, I have been following Harry from the moment he walked out of the house. Most of it was the same. He was walking like the Grim Reaper was on his heels. He was looking around every corner before he walked on. It was then that I walked passed him a couple of times. We were walking passed a couple of Shops. So I walked past him and looked at the display. When he passed me I passed him a little later. It was then I could feel this magic gliding over my body. His eyes are hunted by darkness and sorrow. There is no light in them no light of life no nothing. I even followed him into a church. He sat down on a bench and just stayed there for over three hours looking at Jesus while I heard him mumbling to the Goddess of magic and to god. While I sat behind him I only got this feeling of loss". Tonks stopped talking and only looked ahead as her eyes became unfocused, clearly thinking about what had been happening that day.
Andromeda looked at Amelia and jerked her head to the side. She indicated they had to go to the kitchen. When they got there Andromeda pulled the bottle from the cabinet and filled up a glass for them. "If I know my daughter She has decided to go to hell for that boy. She had the same look when she rescued a little kitty from drowning. When she got the kitty she swore to protect it whatever the cost. She is looking the same way at Harry as she was looking at the kitty".
"Is that a bad thing?" Amelia asked her as she took another sip.
"Not really. It will only be bad when we go against Harry. If she decides to protect the boy she will also protect it against us. It took Ted a full day to convince her that he wanted to take the kitty to the vet for a checkup. It took a full day before she believed him. Still, after that, she went with him and kept her eye on him all the way. It is the same look she has for Harry. Something called to her to take care of him and that is what she will be doing".
Amelia looked through the door and saw that Tonks was still looking up into the sky looking at nothing. "So she will be there for him before and after". Andromeda nodded as she too looked out of the door. "There is one thing I always wondered about. I know that, because of her ability. She can become a little clumsy. That is when she has another form. But when she is in her base form she would be all right".
Andromeda got a look of pain. "Well, there is a reason for that" Amelia took a quick look out of the door. While she looked on at Tonks, Andromeda went on. "When she was just seven years old she was being a little annoying kid. She liked to play pranks and all those kinds of things. She does not remember anything from that time. But she was always hanging around Sirius and James. During that time she was always playing in this form. A little girl with pink hair. She always turned back at night. But during that time something traumatising to her happened and she blocked everything from her mind. It went so far that she even forgot her base form. Until she finds the balance she had lost she will remain clumsy".
Andromeda stepped next to her and looked at Tonks. "Will she ever find it again?" Amelia asked her.
"I'm afraid not. It has been fourteen years and she still hasn't found the balance. So I think she never will. If she ever does it will be sudden and we might be in for a wild ride, only because we do not know how she will look in her base form. It might even be a bigger shock for herself than for us".
Just as Amelia wanted to ask another question, Ted and the girls came walking back in. "Anty I got fried shrimp and baked bananas for all of us. Uncle Ted said we could all try them". Amelia smiled as she looked at Uncle Ted. She knew that Susan had no family beside her. So every time she got an older person she could see as an Uncle or aunt she would take it. She was glad to see that Ted just smiled at her when she called him that.

After dinner, they all sat down and asked Susan and Hannah for the oath of secrecy. When they had given it Amelia got a little nervous. "We want you to ask about your times at Hogwarts. But before that we want you to take these flushing potions".
"YOU THINK WE WERE DRUGGED" Hannah screamed.
Andromeda placed her hands on the shoulders of Hannah. "Calm down Hannah," she told her softly. Everyone in Hogwarts gets a little dose of Loyalty potion, a calming draft, and obedient juice. It keeps the children from acting out too much and to stay calm".
"you mean the potions we get so we do not get into a fight and listen to the professors" Hannah asked her as she calmed down. "The ones my dad told me about before I started at Hogwarts".
"Yes, those," Amelia said. "We at the ministry know about them and we at the ministry are making it for them. The pumpkin juice you all drink is prepared by us. Now, after four years, it takes a little longer to get it out of your body. You could say a year extra for every year you are there. So we flush you all out right after you all get home. But to make sure you are clean, we will do it again now".
"Good, I'm glad they never worked on Harry," Hannah said as she downed the potion Andromeda held out to her.
"They never worked on Harry," Tonks asked.
"Yeah, they never worked on him," Susan told her. "Good thing too. If they did Hermione would be dead in a toilet when a troll cornered her there".
"Sorry Susan" Ted interrupted her. "I'm sure I heard you wrong, you did not say A troll was walking around the castle cornering girls in a toilet".
"No," Ted gave a deep sigh of relief when Susan said no. "Harry killed it or it would still be walking around".
"Good, good," Ted said before his jaw dropped, his eyes bugged out and he dropped to the ground as he fainted.
"Tonks looked down at her father and laughed. "Good one Susan. I have to remember that when I want him to faint. Just tell him a story that is too far-fadged to be true".
Susan and Hannah frowned at her. "Susan isn't lying. Harry killed it. He didn't know because he was sent away before they found out. But I heard Professor Sprout saying he blew his brains out to Professor Flitwick. We have even seen it being carried away from the bathroom of Moaning Myrtle".
"Wait," Tonks said as she held up her hands. "When was this because I was also in Hogwarts but I know nothing about it".
"You were studying a lot that year. It was the newts so a lot of you didn't come to the Halloween feast. It was on that night that Harry and Ron saved Hermione from the troll".
Tonks was sitting there with her mouth open and Andromeda was just shaking her head. Amelia gave a little smirk as she looked at the both of them. Tonks you are not a mother yet and Andromeda your Tonks is too old to understand them" Amelia pointed at Susan and Hannah. "Okay, you two. Tell us how you heard it and what you have heard".
Hannah looked at Susan as Susan looked back at her. It was clear that they had been friends for a long time. The conversation between them didn't take any words but they still said a lot. Hannah widened her eyes and Susan nodded. "Well, Daphne and Tracy told me that they heard from Pansy, who heard it from Padma who heard it from Lavender, and Parvati who heard it from Ronald Weasley himself. Somehow Hermione was angry with someone and hid herself away in the bathroom. Now we know that she was mad at Ron because he was being an Ass".
"Hannah," Amelia said.
"What he is an ass. He is also a pig, the way he eats" and she shivered in horror at the thought of it. "If you sit next to him you have to check your fingers every minute to see if he hasn't eaten them".
"Not important," Amelia said as Tonks opened her mouth too. "Tonks you can go later" She turned back to Hannah, "You, go on".
"Okay, All of us were having fun and eating a lot. Only Harry looked sad And I do not know why" Auwww Hannah said as she rubbed the spot Susan had poked her.
"Halloween was the night his parents were murdered".
"OOOOOHHH, right," Hannah said sheepishly. "Well, Professor Quirell who was still alive".
"Wait" Amelia screamed. "Quirell is dead, Albus told me he quit and went away".
"Aunty" Susan screamed as she pulled her face to her. "That is at the end of the year. We are only on Halloween. Let Hannah tell you everything before you rush out and kill the headmaster.
"Why didn't you tell me," Amelia asked in an accusing way.
"You didn't ask," Hannah said as she went on. "Professor, Quirell ran into the great hall and screamed about a Troll in the dungeon. Headmaster Albus told us to go to our common rooms while they were going after it".
"So, Albus told you all to go to the common rooms. The once from Slytherin and Hufflepuff are located in the dungeon. And that is also the place a little Troll was walking around" Tonks asked as the girls nodded.
"Yes," Susan said. "But it wasn't so little. It was bigger than Hagrid, he was dragging it outside with a rope".
Amelia was rubbing her temples as she thought about the troll. If it was bigger than Hagrid then it was a mountain troll that needed four Aurors to bring down. And yet a boy of Eleven killed it. "Please go back to the story". Amelia asked as she looked at Andromeda and Tonks. In their eyes, she could see they were thinking the same thing.
"Now, Hermione was hiding in the toilet when the Troll walked in. Ron saw it and rushed after it. He saw Hermione shivering in fear under a sink. He threw things at it and made Harry jump on his back. While Harry shoved his wand up his nose Ron knocked it out".
"That's it" Both girls nodded at Tonks. "It sounds to me like Ron Weasley did the killing, not Harry. It also sounds like he had been the one who saved Hermione".
"Yeah, but that is just Ronald Weasley. He always tells the stories like he is the hero. But we all know it was Harry. Before that day they weren't friends but after it, Hermione wouldn't leave his side. If Ron saved her she would be by his. Then again because we overheard it was killed, we know it was Harry. Only he is strong enough to kill that thing".
Amelia got to her feet as Andromeda handed her a pen and paper. While everyone was looking at her Amelia started to write down all the things she thought about. "One count of being, and old shripled ass. One hundred counts of endangerment of one hundred students. One illegal ownership of a dangerous class-three, magical animal".
"Aunty, what is a Cerberus type of class?"
Amelia stopped writing as she frowned at Susan. "I, don't know what it has to do with all of this but that is a class five, very, very dangerous. Illegal to hold unless you have a permit. and the only one who has that is Hagrid".
"Oh Good. So it was the one from Hagrid that was on the third floor that was forbidden for all of us at the start of the year".
Amelia dropped into a chair and gave a questioning look at Susan and Hannah. "How many of you have been to that floor to look at the three-headed dog". Tonks, Susan, and Hannah held up their hands.
"If I heard right everybody had seen it. Only the Weasley twins got passed it and through two of the five traps. Harry went all the way and killed Quirell right after he got rid of Voldemort".
Amelia turned her look at Tonks. Tonks held up her hands in surrender. "Sorry I did have a look at the beast, but I never heard about all the other things. I was out like a light because it had been the last day of the Newt exams".
"Did you happen to hear what kind of traps they were?" Amelia asked while she was still as white as a sheet about the last answer she got.
"Well, according to Daphne who heard it from" Hannah started.
"Stop the list of people, just tell the source of it," Andromeda said as she filled up three glasses this time.
"Well, Ron Weasley said that they went passed the dog by playing the flute he got from Hagrid. After that, he Lit up his wand with a Lumos spell to get the Devil snare out of the way. After that they went after flying keys He got the one with the broken wing. The last one was a chess game where he was the night and he offered himself to let Harry and Hermione go on".
"So, he's really making himself very heroic isn't he," Tonks said.
"Yeah, but only the chess part is the truth. The rest is all Harry and Hermione. We do not know about the other tasks but It is clear Harry caught the flying key and Hermione had the Devil snare. The music could be any one of them". Hannah explained as she frowned a little. "We do not know why they are friends with him because he isn't one himself. We think he is just using Harry for his fame".
Amelia looked back at the girls and the others. "I'm not sure if I could handle another year just now. Not if it is worse than this".
"They are," Both Hannah and Susan told her as Susan went on. We still got Harry talking to snakes, Sirius in the castle, and all of us in the great hall and all the petrifications of the students. The dementors in the great hall and also during the quidditch match". Susan saw the surprised look on the face of her aunty. "Aunty. Why didn't you know about it and why didn't we tell you".
Amelia gave her a sad look. "The second is because of the potions. The first is because no one told me. Not even Albus or Fudge like they were supposed to do". Susan looked sad at her aunty and Amelia stepped up to her. She sat down on her knees in front of her and took a hand in hers. With her other hand, she got one from Hannah and looked at them both. "You two have done nothing wrong. So everything that happened was because you were told you didn't have to tell me. Albus must have found a way to give you the order that you do not have to say anything to any of us". Susan and Hannah smiled at her. "Do you think you two could go home now, and maybe ask the parents of Hannah if she could stay the week.
When Susan and Hannah had left Tonks got to her feet. "I have to go back. If, I learned one thing from tonight. It is that Harry is used, by a lot of people. So I really have to find a way to get to talk to him. My best bet is through Serius but I have to give him a flushing potion first. I think Molly is drugging the order members just like the ministry is doing with the students".
"That is IL".
"I know boss," Tonks said before Amelia could get a head full of steam. "But I have to make sure first. After it I have to find out if she does it and if she is making it. If she does we can get her, but we also have Severus Snape who could give the shit to her".
"Don't forget that they both do whatever Albus says. So he must be the one who orders them, and that is something you have to make sure of, first. Tonks nodded at Amelia and went back to Grimmauld's place. "And it is still, Illegal to do it," Amelia said as she gave a look at Tonks for interrupting her. Tonks just smiled as she went away.

It was late in the evening when Tonks stepped through the door and stumbled over the Trollsfoot Umbrella stand. She was glad that Wulburga Black didn't react and she could walk into the kitchen. At the kitchen table, she saw Sirius sitting close to Remus. She sat down, right in front of them, and held out two little bottles. "Drink" she ordered. Remus took one of the bottles and sniffed. His eyes became big and he only asked who.
Sirius looked at him from the side and also sniffed at his bottle. But he was never that good at recognizing the potions. "What, what am I missing" he asked.
Remus downed his little bottle and held it up to Sirius. "Tonks believe that we are being drugged, with some kind of Potion. By the smell of it, it will be for a loyalty and obedient potion. I do not know why". Remus looked back at Tonks.
"I have learned that the kids are being drugged at Hogwarts to keep them humble and out of trouble. When Sirius said something about Albus I was afraid you too are being drugged. This little potion will tell me if my hunch was right. If not nothing will happen.
"I think it will be useless and you are seeing things," he told Tonks. He did hold the bottle in front of him and downed it.
"We will see," Tonks told him as she got to her feet. She conjured two buckets and held them out to them.
"That is no, WWHHGGAAAGHH" Remus said.
"I think it was" and Sirius followed Remus in throwing up. "WHO" after he had a moment of rest.
"I think Molly, Severus at least one of them, and all on the order from Albus. I do not know why it is done, but you two need to drink this every morning and every night. It will make sure that you can't be drugged while you are here" Both men nodded. "Now I'm off to bed".
Just as she was about to walk through the door Remus called out to her. "Albus has asked me to do something else tomorrow night. So I have the morning shift and you the day". Tonks just nodded and walked on.
This is it again for this time see you all in two weeks.
