I don't own PJO, HoO, or ToA, and its character all the rights go to Rick Riordan.

I only own the Original Characters.

In a room, a young man was laying on his bed reading a book he read multiple times trying to once again let his imagination create a world other than his home, that was the only way he could ever truly leave this place thanks to the impositions of his father.

The book told him about the cultures around the world and how their people lived, what they build, and what they strived to create but he was aware of the nature of humanity and how easily everything could be gone in the blink of an eye, but nonetheless, he would still outlast this cultures thanks to his nature.

"the perks of being a god." he guessed, the young man thought before closing the book and placing it beside his bed, then closed his eyes to get some sleep.

As he closed his eyes he heard a knock on his door and rising slightly from his bed he asked.

"Yes?"

"Can I enter?" he heard the familiar voice of his grandmother.

He huffed and then answered.

"Please, you say as if I could stop you," he said to his grandmother.

"And I remember telling you that I would give you your personal space, whatever you wanted, Genji. So, I will not enter your room without your permission." He heard his grandmother say behind the door.

"Sure you can enter." Genji finally said after a few seconds of consideration.

And without further ado, his grandmother finally opened the door and entered his room, letting the light from the hallway enter his room.

Rhea looked at her grandson's grumpy face with a small smile. She could easily see both Amaterasu and Zeus in him. He had his father's electric blue and black hair, but the rest was clear that it came from his mother's side - the shape of his eyes, nose, and forehead. There was a smoothness that clearly came from his mother, making him look like a perfect mixture of Western and Eastern features.

Rhea asked with a sad smile, "Are you still angry that I stopped you from leaving yesterday?"

"You told me you would let me leave," he said.

"I told you if it were up to me, I would let you leave," she said. "But we both know it's not only up to me to make that decision."

Her grandson huffed and looked away. His father had always been very clear that he should remain here no matter what, which made him wonder if he would ever be free of this house.

"At least pretend you like your grandmother's company," she said, trying to cheer him up.

"You know it's not the company that bothers me, Grandma," he said, getting up from his bed. "It's when will I ever be able to leave this house? Because it seems that if it's up to my father, I will spend eternity here."

"Well if this is your concern then I guess you will have your answers pretty soon."

"What?" Genji asked, turning back to look at her.

"Your parents are downstairs, Genji," she said, looking straight into his eyes.

This was strange; they usually gave a warning when they visited him, and this only happened on the weekends, which meant that something must have happened.

"They want to talk with me?" he asked her.

"Your father wants to talk to you."

This night was getting even weirder, and if his father wanted to talk about it, it was best to get it over with.

"Alright, I'll go there then."

His grandmother only nodded her head and gently indicated for him to go.

He got out of his room and walked through the hallway until he arrived at the stairs. To any mortal, this house would seem big and luxurious; but when you have lived most of your life inside it, it starts to seem like nothing more than an extravagant prison.

When he finally got downstairs, the first thing he noticed was his mother waiting for him. She was wearing a golden kimono, indicating that she had just finished whatever business she had in her pantheon. The moment she saw him, she immediately embraced him in a hug that he returned just as quickly.

"My son, how have you been?" his mother asked warmly while hugging him

"I have been doing well, Mother," he replied with a smile. "What are you doing here? You and Father usually wait until the weekend to visit, not that I'm complaining."

His mother released him afterwards and sighed.

"This will be best explained by your father," she said, while indicating for him to follow her.

He followed her until they arrived at the dining room, where she stopped and motioned for him to enter.

"He wants to talk with you alone," she said, glancing at the door.

He simply nodded his head in agreement.

"Just hear what he has to say okay?" she asked.

He sighed.

"Okay."

And with that, he entered the room and immediately spotted his father sitting on the opposite side of the table, which made this night even stranger; his father usually preferred to sit at the head of the table, not on the side.

His father calmly stood up from his chair; he was wearing a dark blue pinstriped suit, indicating that he was in the same situation as his mother.

"Son." Zeus said while nodding his head in acknowledgment.

"Father," he responded, nodding his head as well.

"Sit," his father said while pointing toward the chair on the other side of the table.

Genji immediately sat down and waited for his father to begin what he wanted to speak

Zeus sat down in his own chair and stared at his son for a while before beginning to speak.

His father said, "Your grandmother told me that you tried to flee this house three times just this week."

Genji scoffed in disbelief.

"Well, you did lock me up here; it was only a matter of time before I started wanting my own freedom," he replied to his father.

His father merely hummed in response.

"So, you want to get away from here, right?" he asked his son.

"Yes?" he replied, not wanting to get his hopes too high.

"Well, then it seems that we can help each other out," said his father. "I want to offer you a deal. If you keep your end of it, I will allow you to leave this house."

"What type of deal?" asked Genji sitting more straight on his chair.

"Well, to put it simply, someone stole my master bolt," his father said with an angry sigh. "And I already know who did it."

"Okay, and where does our deal enter into this?" Genji asked his father with a confused frown.

"Well, I already know the identity of the one who stole it, and his name is Perseus Jackson," his father said, looking straight into his son's eyes. "He is the son of my insufferable brother Poseidon, who probably used this child to steal my weapon while I was distracted."

"What do you want me to do?"

"I was already getting into that part, Poseidon claimed that this child never knew about the supernatural world and so he could never be the thief and claimed that I unjustly called him a thief and demanded that I apologize to him on the Summer Solstice, and I demanded my weapon at the same time." his father explained to him

"The quest will be issued to retrieve my weapon, but I know that Jackson will try something. Your job is to tail him and catch him in the act. When you catch him, I will finally have proof of Poseidon's treason, and I will be able to punish him without the rest of the council complaining that I'm being unfair," his father told him.

"Only this? Follow Poseidon's kid and get him on the act?" Genji asked

His father nodded his head.

"Very well, we have a deal then." Genji said

"Good," he said before adding, "But before that, there is something I must do." His father raised his hand towards Genji.

Immediately, Genji felt his body becoming heavier, and it felt like chains were wrapping themselves around him.

He had to hold onto the table to stop himself from falling straight to the ground, before asking.

"What did you do to me?" he asked his father.

"I simply put a lock on your divine powers, because if the others become aware of what you are, it will cause problems for all of us. So, only break this lock as a last resort, understood?" his father said.

Genji simply nodded in agreement.

"Good," his father replied. "Prepare yourself; you leave tomorrow."

And with that, his father left the room, but not before saying that his mother could finally enter.

"So what happened?" his mother asked as she entered the room.

"Well, it seems that I finally have the chance to leave this house," he answered.

"Let me guess, it's about Poseidon, right?" his mother asked.

He nodded, and then she sighed.

"I don't think Poseidon is the one behind this, especially since thievery has never been his style," she said. "However, your father never forgave your uncle after he helped Hera's coup on Mount Olympus." She shook her head.

"But let's ignore that for now," she said, "I'm sure you'll be able to get to the end of this."

"Thank you, Mother."

She nodded in agreement.

"Okay now go to your room and prepare yourself; don't forget the gift I gave you," his mother told him.

He nodded and proceeded to go to his room, carrying with him a newfound excitement, because finally, he would leave this house and see the world for himself, even if it was just to retrieve his father's weapon; it was a beginning at least.
