The bell rang at Peach Jr. High School in the early afternoon on Friday and all the students came out of the main door, all getting prepared for their evening and the weekend. Sarah and Jimmy ran giggling while holding each other's hands. Kevin and Nazz in her head cheerleader outfit drove off in the former's bike. Rolf, carrying his huge bag, walks out of the sidewalk, humming some music. The Eds walked out of the door, getting ready to spend the rest of the afternoon and evening with their new friend Mac they met yesterday.
"This is going to be so fun with our new pal, Mac!" Ed said in excitement, "We're going to watch zombie movies, play games, read comics, drink soda, and eat pizza with gravy!"
"Like a zillion times with those zombie movies!" Eddy mutters.
The Eds had exited the school zone and walked to the sidewalk.
"And I'm going to have an idea of having Mac help us with our upcoming scam for tomorrow I came up with!" Eddy said.
"Eddy," Double D said, "He's a young boy who has no friends and he's still traumatized by what happened yesterday to him! So, we need to cheer him up and treat him with care and respect and get him out of this brink of depression!"
Eddy rolls his eyes, board, and then he sees Jonny walking nearby carrying Plank, humming happily. He then turns to his friends.
"Hey Double D," Eddy says, "can you check something in Ed's monobrow! I thought I saw something in it!"
"Where Eddy! Where?" Ed said in fright.
"Hold still, Ed!" Double D said as he approaches Ed to look, "I'm going to look and check!"
"Something is in my monobrow!" Ed cried in fright, screaming and ran around, "Get it off!"
"Ed, please!" Double D cried as he ran after him.
As this happens, Eddy heads to Jonny.
"Hey Jonny boy!" he said to him.
"Hello, Eddy!" Jonny replied.
"Have you and Plank been to Foster's before?" Eddy asked.
"Nope!" Jonny replied, "But Plank knows where it is through the TV we saw!"
"I'll give you a granola bar if you and Plank go into Foster's and find Artie for me!"
"Who's Artie?" Jonny asked.
Eddy hands him the sticky note he had written yesterday at Double D's.
Jonny looks at the sticky note and reads it, while Eddy said, "Meet me in one of the nearest apartments for the granola bar!"
Jonny cheered, "Right on!"
Jonny then turns to Plank.
"Did you hear that Plank?" he said to his wooden pal, "We get to go to Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends to find an imaginary friend for Eddy!"
Jonny then runs off with Plank down the street, giggling. Eddy watches until he hears Double D's voice saying "Eddy!"
Eddy turned and saw his sockheaded friend standing in front of him, glaring, while Ed stands nearby.
"What did you just ask Jonny to do?" Double D asked in suspicion.
"What?" Eddy replied, "I just asked him to go jogging down the road!"
"Jonny needs to do exercising, Double D!" Ed said.
Double D sighed.
"Apparently yes, Ed!" he replied.
"So," Eddy said, "let's head to Mac's apartment to hang out and cheer him up after what those jerks from Foster's Home for Losers did to him yesterday!"
Eddy walks down the street.
"I have a suspicion of what Eddy might be up to!" Double D said as he followed Eddy, "Don't you, Ed?"
"North to Alaska, here I come!" Ed sang as he followed his friends.
Jonny 2x4 and Plank rushes through the sidewalk by the fence and then stops by the gate. He turns and stares at the huge Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends mansion in awe.
"Wow!" Jonny says, "Would you look at that, Plank? Pretty spectacular!"
He turns to his wooden pal.
"But we're here to search for Artie, Plank!" he continued before he entered the gate.
Jonny then runs toward the house's main entrance door until he stops.
"What's that Plank?" he asks to his wooden pal, turning his ear towards him.
"Good idea, buddy!" Jonny said silently before he ran to a bush and hid.
As they did, Plank peeks up to see any people coming in or out of the mansion only to find that there's none and then jumps back in with Jonny.
"See anything, Plank?" Jonny asked before a long response and then replied, "Good!"
Jonny then takes out the sticky note Eddy gave him earlier from earlier and looks at it that's written:
Arty
Green and short with rosy cheeks,
Pink nose, wares pink shorts and a
White T-shirt with the letter A on it
In Madam Fosters closet or wardrobe
Jonny then turns to Plank.
"Ok, buddy!" he said to him, "Ready to go get Artie?"
Plank peeks into one of the windows of the mansion to see anyone inside passing by, only to find that there is none and gets back in.
After silence of Plank "telling" Jonny that the coast is clear, Jonny replied, "Good!"
Slowly and silently, Jonny opened the window and then he and Plank landed down through it. He quietly closes the window and he and Plank look around at the very surreal, tan, yellow room.
"Holy cow!" Jonny said silently, "Would you look at this place, buddy!"
Jonny runs and hides in one of the plant pots and then peeks through the shrubs. He sees various imaginary friends walking past by, not paying attention to him. Among these were:
-A giant green slime friend with large eyes and a mouth.
-A red-pink teddy bear-like friend with a dragon tail, large black eyes, and wearing a white T-shirt with a red heart on it.
-A tiny, thin lime green friend with only one eye and ten long strands of hair sticking out on top.
-A pink squirrel-like friend with a pronounced incisor tooth, whiskers, and a lighter pink bow.
-A short, quadrupedal, blue, furry dome-shaped friend with darker blue spots, four black legs that's furry, and a curvy mouth.
-A friend with the body of a TV (having a man and woman on screen) with two antennas and one wheel while its head, attached to the TV spring, consists of a beige-green striped sock wearing a brown hat.
-A transparent gray cloud with eyes and mouth floating above.
-A middle-aged man with a floating red balloon as his head with a smile face.
-A pair of scissors with eyes and legs.
"So many imaginary friends, huh Plank!" Jonny says amazed in silence. Then, puts his left ear towards Plank's mouth and listens.
"What?" he asks.
Jonny turns and looks around the hallway. Then he sees a door, guessing that was what Plank was "talking" about.
"That door?" Jonny asked, "Are you sure?"
Then, suddenly, coming out of that door was a short, stout elderly woman wearing glasses, having her hair tied to a bun, and carrying a cane.
"That must be Madame Foster, Plank!" Jonny says while watching through the plant pot, "Then, that has to be the door where Artie is!"
Once he sees nobody coming by, Jonny and Plank rush in and open the door. They then enter a room which was darkened pink with a rug, a small table, a large frame hanging on the wall, a large, tall chair, and a large wooden wardrobe.
"Wow!" Jonny says, "Isn't it fantastic, buddy?"
Then, Jonny notices something from Plank.
"What's that?" he responded, before turning his head towards a wardrobe "In there? That wardrobe?"
Then, Jonny opens the wardrobe and sees stacks of clothing in hangers.
"Whoa!" he says, "Would you look at that, Plank!"
Jonny goes through the clothing to search for the Artie costume.
"It's gotta be in here, somewhere!" he says as he looks through the wardrobe.
Then, he finds a costume of what appears to be a small, green imaginary child with a very large, rounded head, a small pink nose, rosy cheeks, a small mouth and black eyes, a small patch of dark green curly hair, pointed ears that curved downwards, a white t-shirt with the letter "A" in pink, and a pair of pink shorts, almost exactly what Eddy mentions to him through one of Double D's sticky notes.
"Oh boy, Plank!" Jonny says in joy, "We found Artie!"
Then, suddenly, he hears a door opening and someone giggling. Jonny and Plank quickly hide in the wardrobe with the Artie costume shortly before the door opens. As he hides deep within the wardrobe, Jonny could hear footsteps approaching and someone snickering and giggling. Then, he sees a blue arm coming in through the clothing of the wardrobe. It moves around as if it is searching for one of the clothing, while Jonny and Plank watches nervously and anxiously, hoping it doesn't take the Artie costume or even themselves mistakenly. But when the arm touches the Artie costume, he grabs and takes it, much to Jonny and Plank's dismay. Then, Jonny hears the voices of laughing and giggling and "One. Step. Ahead. I can't wait to rub that in his face from what we did yesterday! That was the best party ever!" Then, thankfully the Artie costume returns to where it was, much to Jonny and Plank's relief. Then, the wardrobe closes, and Jonny and Plank hear more laughing from that same person until the room's door closes. After that, they open wardrobe doors and peek through to see if the coast is clear.
"That was close, huh buddy?" Jonny asked to Plank after seeing nobody around and then pull out the Artie costume, "But we got Artie! Let's get out of here, Plank!"
Both Jonny and Plank, with the Artie costume, peek through the door to see any passing people in the hallway, only to find that there's none. They then quietly headed to one of the mansion's windows and hid behind one of the indoor plant pots next to the window. Jonny, while carrying Plank and Artie, hears someone approaching. They quickly hide in the foliage and peek. Passing by them is a giant, grey anthropomorphic rabbit with a thick mustache wearing a top hat, a tuxedo, and a monocle and having his eyes closed. Once it passes, Jonny quietly gets his arm to open the window when he hears a deep "huh!" from the rabbit. Jonny quickly hides as a response, while the rabbit stops as if he hears something and his eyes are opened. Jonny sees the rabbit looking around angrily. Then, after a moment, the giant rabbit takes out its monocle, breaths it, cleans his handkerchief, puts it back on, and hops away. Then Jonny hears some giggling and laughing coming somewhere in the mansion. He quickly opens the window and jumps out with Plank and Artie. Then he quietly closes the window and hides in the nearby bushes. He then looks around to see if anyone notices and turns to Plank.
"Boy, Plank!" Jonny said, "That was close!"
They then looked at the Artie costume.
"Woo Ho Hoo!" Jonny cheered with Plank while carrying Artie and running off from the bushes, "We did it Plank! We've rescued Artie!"
Jonny laughs as they happily left the Foster's mansion.
