Spectre: Here we are! Part One of the two-chapter Order 66 Arc! Now before you can argue that when will Return of the Jedi happen, remember that this isn't merely a react fic, as people needed to know what happened before they could act against Sidious with the information they had received.
I would like to announce that I may post the fic on Wattpad and Archive of Our Own due to reasons...in case if this was taken down to serve as a backup sanctuary should this be removed.
Also, I included some Legends content here, so...hooray I guess?
Chapter 35: Order 66- Fall of the Jedi Order.
Anakin could have better days before him, and while he is prone to having outbursts of anger, the frustration and hate that was building up within him. And he tried the best he could to hold it in while Obi-Wan told him of what they had witnessed while they were gone, as a means for him to prevent himself from ruining the one chance that he could change the future he had despised.
He had arrived only to know that he willingly sided with Sidious and his rise as the Sith Lord that he had grown to hate. Internally, he knew that the more he watched these tapes, the painful the experience is to him. Not just him, but to the rest of those who are present in the Council Chambers.
His relationship with Master Windu has been all too shaky, and it was prone to collapsing at any moment, especially to the fact that his future chose to side with Sidious and helped him dispose the Master of the Order instead of fulfilling the prophecy. The Korun Master gave him disapproving and resentful glares every so often every time Anakin tried to look at him in apology. He couldn't blame the Vaapad Master at all, especially if he had a hand on his future's fate within a week's notice. But Anakin also felt ashamed to the other two Masters, Saesee Tiin and Kit Fisto, as he rendered their sacrifices for nothing by siding with Sidious.
If there's any solace at that, there are others who appeared to be understanding, or at least tried to be neutral to him after they witnessed his rise as Darth Vader. It was as if they slowly understood as to how everything that happened there was all Palpatine's work, but Yoda maintained that their choice in having Anakin spy on Sidious was a grave error that gave his unknowing future the reason as to why the Jedi shouldn't be trusted.
As for Rex, Ahsoka and Anakin were worried about him. His former apprentice had told him of Rex having the expression of being 'activated' like a droid whenever he saw the face of Darth Sidious before him, but neither Anakin nor the Jedi had any explanation as to what caused Rex to be like this at all. The holograms had also explained earlier that it concerned both the Jedi Order and the Grand Army of the Republic, something that started to caused some members of the Council to be suspicious of the Clone Commander. While the Jedi trusted most of their Commanders, they knew that their primary loyalty is to the Republic and by extension, the Chancellor himself, but they weren't sure; they treated their respective legions as both comrades and friends. And any thought of them working for the Sith never crossed their minds.
Right now, Anakin intently listened to what Obi-Wan and the others had witnessed when he and a few others weren't, and he detested most of what he had heard. He murdered an unarmed combatant (Metaphorically and literally) by the form of Count Dooku, which essentially made him a candidate for the Sith's Rule of Two and received visions of Padme dying that was apparently parallel on how he had received the dreams of his mother dying a few years prior. His appointment to the Jedi Council as Palpatine's representative that was clearly and understandably for Anakin, a violation of the guidelines for the Council (His position as a spy there, is something that Anakin would use to know more about Palpatine now that he knew he was the Sith Lord), as well as granting of the rank of Master, to which he understood was not ready for such a rank (He learned that he desperately wanted the rank in order to find secrets that would prevent Padme's death, which Palpatine exploited by telling him of Darth Plagueis)
Only two scenarios that brought him relief, are that Ahsoka and Rex managed to capture Maul at Mandalore while Obi-Wan managed to finally destroy Grievous at Utapau, which would be a big triumph for them if it wasn't for Palpatine.
"So you're saying that the Chancellor gave me promises of power to save Padme from the brink of death, and I took that chance when I had a dream of her dying", Anakin repeated, not sparing his master a glance as he looked down in deep thought.
Obi-Wan sighed dejectedly. "It appear so, Anakin. Sidious wanted you under his wing through the guise of friendship and whatever advice that you wanted to hear from him. And he used your position in the Council, your inner conflict, and mistrust to the Jedi to further his agendas right before he revealed himself as the apprentice of Darth Plagueis"
"Maul said that Sidious has been grooming Anakin to be his apprentice...", Ahsoka chimed in, placing her thumb and index finger onto her chin. "But I didn't believe him nor I told Master Yoda about it"
"It wasn't your fault, Ahsoka", Obi-Wan sincerely assured her. "We wouldn't have believed him either had we not known the truth about Sidious"
Another thing, is that the Holograms have given them instructions on how they should proceed before the holotape would resume playing. Yoda had firmly instructed them to remain rational, as a means not to alert Sidious of what they were doing. According to the instructions, they were to seal the Council Chamber's windows from any outsiders, activate the sound-proofing systems inside, and make sure any communication devices are switched off. This essentially made the chamber closed to any communication from inside or outside, and the chamber was only illuminated by the holoplayer as well as a few lights, but the environment was dim to say the least.
"We can only hope that following their instructions should give the appropriate answers we needed", Mundi professed for the Council.
"They have explained the truth that lies ahead", Shaak Ti replied, though unsure herself. "I do not see why they would lead us astray if that were the case"
"But their statement regarding the Clones is unsettling to say the least", Plo Koon added, feeling anxious himself. "Unless we see for it ourselves, we cannot know wether or not he too had a plan for the Clone Army in his grand scheme"
The others turned towards Rex, some with suspicion. But he only shook his head as turned to his general to resume the holovid. Obliging, yet unenthusiastically, Anakin approached the holoplayer and resumed the footage before them.
"Every single Jedi, including your friend Obi-Wan Kenobi have been revealed as enemies of the Republic now. You understand that, don't you?"
"Yes, my Master."
"The Jedi are relentless. If they are not destroyed to the last being, there will be civil war without end. To sterilize the Jedi Temple will be your first task. Do what must be done, Lord Vader."
Anakin glared both at himself and of Palpatine, not believing what kind of insanity he allowed himself to get into.
"Is he asking Skywalker to assault the Temple alone?", Saesee Tiin said almost incredulously.
"Unlikely, and he will provide Anakin the allies he needed to do so", Windu interjected, glaring at the two at the screen. "But at this point, only Masters Ti and Drallig are the Temple, in addition to the contingent of the Temple Guard as well as Gate Master Jurokk"
"But at this point, Anakin had proven himself as both a fighter and tactician", Mundi added. "But most of the Order and the Council are spread throughout the Outer Rim, dealing with Separatist strongholds all over, which denied the Temple's fighting force"
Obi-Wan sensed the guilt and fear within Anakin, who hoped that the Temple may be able to stop him and to warn the other remaining Jedi. But what crossed his mind, is that Anakin didn't approach Obi-Wan for any guidance at his next move. But it didn't help to the fact that Anakin couldn't trust the Jedi of the problems he had encountered.
"I always have, my Master."
"Do not hesitate. Show no mercy. Leave no living creature behind. Only then will you be strong enough with the dark side to save Padme."
Padme wanted to tell this future of him that she does not need saving, and her Anakin's guilt within the Chamber was visible for her to see.
"What of the other Jedi?"
"Leave them to me. After you have finished at the Temple, your second task will be the Separatist leadership, in their 'secret bunker' on Mustafar. When you have killed them all, the Sith will rule the galaxy once more, and we shall have peace. Forever.
The Jedi were horrified at the aspect of Anakin killing defenseless leaders of the Separatist movement. Their aim was to never eliminate them, but to apprehend them alive in order to be sent at the Galactic court. However, Yoda and Windu knew that what Palpatine did was the way of the Sith; they dispose their tools once they don't have any use for them or newer and more powerful tools are under his thumb, just as he did with Dooku and Grievous.
"Rise, Darth Vader."
The Sith Lord who once had been a Jedi hero called Anakin Skywalker stood, drawing himself up to his full height, but he looked not outward upon his new Master, nor upon the planet-city beyond, nor out into the galaxy that they would soon rule. He instead turned his gaze inward: he unlocked the furnace gate within his heart and stepped forth to regard with new eyes the cold freezing dread of the dead-star dragon that had haunted his life.
I am Darth Vader, he said within himself.
The dragon tried again to whisper of failure, and weakness, and inevitable death, but with one hand the Sith Lord caught it, crushed away its voice; it tried to rise then, to coil and rear and strike, but the Sith Lord laid his other hand upon it and broke its power with asingle effortless twist.
I am Darth Vader, he repeated as he ground the dragon's corpse to dust beneath his mental heel, as he watched the dragon's dust and ashes scatter before the blast from his furnace heart, and you—
You are nothing at all.
He had become, finally, what they all called him.
The Hero With No Fear.
Within the Tribunal where Darth Maul was held prisoner, Ahsoka watched the seemingly endless route of the lightspeed as she pondered, until Rex came to the bridge and approached his silent commander.
"Something on your mind?"
"As a Jedi, we were trained to be keepers of the peace, not soldiers", she uttered. "But all I've been since I was a Padawan is a soldier"
Ever since Christophsis, Anakin thought, wondering if Ahsoka experienced any other mission that doesn't involve her being a soldier ever since taking her under his wing.
"Trailed off, we had...", Yoda spoke, referring to their role as peacekeepers and of their principles. The others took note of this, and remembered that it was their compliance to Palpatine and the Senate that led them to their roles as battlefield commanders, to which they weren't suppose to be.
Luminara sighed, recalling her former apprentice's words when she spoke to the Galactic Court.
"Well, I've known no other way. Gives us Clones all a mixed feeling about the war", Rex said in response. "Many people wish it never happened. But without it, we Clones wouldn't exist"
"That brings the question...what would be of the Clones once the war is over?", Kit Fisto spoke up, curious. "I cannot imagine the Republic needing large amount of soldiers in the upcoming years once hostilities have ended"
Luminara held her chin, bringing up her own suggestions. "They could either be the peacekeeping army to maintain order at former Separatist-held worlds, or retire to spend the rest of their lives in freedom"
"I do not think that the latter would be an option for them", Plo spoke up, to the exact anticipation of Obi-Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka as the three knew that Plo wanted the good life that his men that the average Republic citizen could afford. "Since they are not labeled as Republic citizens, and there hasn't a bill that could guarantee them a pension that could provide for their retirement"
"What are you suggesting, Master Plo?", Ahsoka asked.
The Kel'Dor master cleared his throat. "That the Clones are free to retire from their military service should they choose to and are given priviledges as veterans and Republic citizens once fighting has ended"
Other members of the Council liked the idea, though some are not so sure about it. "But wouldn't the Kaminoans protest about their property being taking away?", Mundi asked.
"Their opinion would not matter once this has been settled at Galactic court", Obi-Wan voiced out his support for Master Koon's suggestion. "They are not property made to be sold nor to fight. They may have the exact genes as the rest, but they are unique as individuals. They are not droids, they are human"
Anakin and Plo Koon gave Obi-Wan a thankful nod, while Yoda and a few others agreed with him before glancing at Senator Amidala, who was more than glad to help draft a bill for the Clones with the help of her fellow Senators.
As for Rex, he could not help but be elated at the support that the Jedi and the Senator had for him and his brothers once the war is over.
"Well, then perhaps some good has come from all of it", she told him in a more upbeat tone. "The Republic couldn't have asked for better soldiers, nor I a better friend"
Rex could only look at Anakin and Ahsoka, both smiling at him. They weren't just comrades, they weren't just friends. They were like family to him, and that's what all it mattered to him and his brothers. Plo Koon, Obi-Wan and Depa nodded in approval at Ahsoka's words, noting their friendships with their fellow Clone Commanders.
The Clone Commander smiled as he gave the Togruta a salute, a gesture that Ahsoka gladly returned. A moment later, a trooper from the 332nd approached the two with a report in hand. "Commander Rex, the latest briefing has come in"
"Want to have a look? It might have an update on General Kenobi's efforts"
"You go", Ahsoka replied. "I'm sure it's more good news"
It was chaos around Utapau's central city, Pau City, and bright flashes of crimson and sapphire filled the air as Republic and Separatist forces exchanged fire. Dropships were constantly landing in the background, providing covering fire for nearby clones and unloading reinforcements. The massive Republic AT-TE walkers that had been brought in were unloading their main guns into the sides of the city's colossal sinkholes, where Separatist forces had barricaded themselves atop perches in the massive cliff. The ruble from these blasts was constantly crashing to the ground in huge chunks of rock and gravel, littering the battlefield below where Republic and Separatist ground forces were engaged.
"It wouldn't be too long for the Republic to deal with the remaining Separatist forces in Utapau, now that Grievous is dead", Windu observed.
Cody raised his specialized binoculars and looked out across the battlefield, focusing in on the frontlines of clone troopers that were slowly but steadily battling their way forward. Despite the Separatists having had the time to barricade themselves within the city, the clones were more highly trained, and they were making quick work of any enemy defenses they met.
A nearby explosion that rained small pebbles onto the Clone Commander prompted Cody to lower his binoculars, and he turned around as a deep, resonating thunder approached him from behind.
Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi was gallivanting towards him on one of the massive varactyl dragonmounts, looking for all the universe as some kind of hero in a holodrama that was ready to save the Republic.
Cody suppressed a smirk as he strolled up next to the massive dragonmount. The lizard sprayed up a cloud of dust as it halted beside him, and as the dust settled Cody began taking off his helmet.
"Commander," Obi-Wan shouted through the drone of background noise. "Did you relay the message to Coruscant about Grievous's death?"
Cody snapped to attention and saluted. "As ordered, sir."
Kenobi nodded and turned around to survey the battle behind him for a second. He then turned back to Cody and said, "Good. Now, contact your troops and tell them to head up to the higher levels."
"Very good, sir," Cody responded. And then, as the Jedi General turned away from him, he remembered the cylindrical metal object that he had found earlier and was now attached to his belt.
"Oh, and by the way?" Cody said, bringing the general's attention back to him as he unclipped the lightsaber from his belt. "I think you might be needing this…"
"That good man, Cody", Obi-Wan mused with a chuckle for his Clone Commander.
Kenobi made a face that looked something like a mix between embarrassment and elation, and then he took his lightsaber from Cody's hand and said awkwardly, "Um… Thank you… And let's keep this between you and me, shall we…? Now," his face returned to composure, "let's get a move on; we've got a battle to win here."
With that, the Jedi General reeled up on his mount and took off, heading up one of the many ledges that lined the edge of the great sinkhole.
Cody watched him go for a second, placing his helmet back on his head, and then felt a silent buzzing from a concealed compartment within his armor. And it revealed to be the hologram of Darth Sidious.
Obi-Wan and the Jedi were wide-eyed immediately sensing what was wrong between the two, especially when Cody did not question who was speaking to.
And again, Rex's expression became obedient and unresponsive as Ahsoka tried to get him back to reality.
"Commander Cody...the time has come...", Darth Sidious began in a raspy voice.
"Execute...Order 66"
A chill ran through their spines: And it took four words from the Sith Lord to make it happen.
The audience heard Rex grunting in pain as he held his forehead upon hearing the words of Darth Sidious, Ahsoka went over to help the Clone Commander regain his senses, but she heard a few words that she never thought she would hear from him.
"Good...soldiers...folllow...orders...", Rex incoherently uttered while clutching his head.
Cody was silent for a moment, stunned other than a subtle movement within him before he replied. "Yes, my Lord"
"Cody...", Obi-Wan uttered in a lightly disbelieving tone. "What are you talking about?"
The Clone Commander's reply brought shockwaves to everyone giving them one speculation: are they in league with Darth Sidious?
Cutting off the link, Cody looked up to the Jedi before he ordered one of the AT-TEs near him. "BLAST HIM!"
"WHAT?!", shouted most of the audience inside the Chamber.
The AT-TE took aim at Obi-Wan, firing a shot that imbalanced him and Boga, before the two promptly fell into the depths in Pau City.
"NO!", Anakin cried out, with the rest trying to contain their shock and outrage at Cody's sudden betrayal to Obi-Wan.
"What has he done?!", Master Mundi tried to register what just happened to Master Kenobi's men turning against him.
The Jedi were confused, shocked, and outraged by their sudden turn against the Jedi Master whom he had trusted for so long as the war had progressed.
"More importantly, what did Sidious mean by Order 66?", Plo Koon urgently called out, just as baffled as the rest of them.
The sky slowly awakened on the crystal world of Mygeeto as the battle between the Republic and the Separatists raged on. Clone troops battle the droid armies across a long bridge where Ki-Adi-Mundi led the charge. Clone Commander Bacara exited a Gunship near the entrance to the city where he rallied his men to join their General. Shortly he received a message on his comlink. He stopped as he saw the hologram of Darth Sidious.
"Don't tell me...", Mundi uttered, worried for the worst to come with the Galactic Marines.
"Commander Bacara"
"Yes, sir"
"The time has come. Execute Order Sixty-Six"
"It will be done, My Lord"
The Sith Lord's hologram had faced, and the Clone Commander and his men looked at General Mundi. "COME ON!", the Cerean Jedi told them as he continued his charge. They stopped dead at their tracks as Mundi turned, his expression reading betrayal as they raised their rifles at him.
The rest were now looking at Commander Rex, and their hands begin to reach the handles of their lightsaber despite him being in clear agony. But a few refrained from doing so, trying to arrange the pieces of Rex and the rest of the Clones. But now, they could only watch helplessly as one of their own was about to be gunned down by their own soldiers.
They open fired, with Master Mundi deflecting their blaster fire and killed two his troopers before he was overwhelmed and was killed on the spot as a few circled around him to see if he was still alive.
Master Mundi could only watch in silence as he realized how his life would end in a short time's notice.
"Are they involved in Chancellor's elaborate scheme?", Padme uttered in horror. "Pretending to befriend and fight for the Jedi before they received his orders?"
No one in the Council wanted to believe that. They have fought alongside with the Clones for years, and this is how they would end up eventually?
At Felucia, Aayla Secura and Commander Bly patrolled the vast jungles to hunt dwn any remaining Separatist forces before the Jedi stopped, her men followed. The General could only hear her soldiers pointing their weapons at her and before she could react, Bly and his soldiers brutally executed her by shooting her multiple times as she tried to crawl away from them.
The Jedi could only watch in horror at another callous murder by their own soldiers to one of their own. Ahsoka and Anakin were struck internally, as they had often considered Aayla to be a good friend to both of them.
Kit Fisto on the other hand, was visibly shaken. And his usually calm and bright demeanor was replaced by despair, to the bewilderment of the Jedi, and it took all his willpower not to shed tears for her, constantly reminding himself that they could still saved both the Jedi and the Clones from the Sith. "Aayla...", he uttered sorrowfully.
At Kashyyk, Yoda's cane was released from his grasp when he had felt their deaths through the Force, with two Wookie Guards flanking him.
The Grandmaster would only close his eyes in grieving after seeing himself being unable to help them in any way whatsoever.
However, Luminara remembered that Commander Gree was with Yoda when the battle had begun, while she and Quinlan Vos were in the frontlines. And that would only mean one thing once the 41st received word from Palpatine...
At Cato Neimodia, Plo Koon and his starfighter squadron were currently in a reconnaissance mission where the Republic has recently emerged victorious when they captured the Trade Federation Stronghold. Inside one of the ARC-170 Starfighters, Captain Jag received an incoming transmission from the Supreme Chancellor. And almost in an instant, all sense of caution were replaced by complete obedience as he heard the hologram's words.
Ahsoka's eyes widened in fear, realizing the worst-case scenario for the Jedi Master. Desperately, she hoped that Master Plo could sense what is to come before him.
"Execute Order Sixty-Six"
Without protest, Jag responded. "It will be done, my Lord"
Immediately, Jag and his fellow pilots open fired to the Kel'Dor Master, who was completely taken off guard by this sudden betrayal. Within moments, Plo-Koon's starfighter erupted in flames, and it crashed into one of the many bridge cities below.
The Jedi were again struck once more, horrified of another death of another Council member who was much loved by his men, who in turn treated them like his own sons from time to time. Anakin could only shake his head as he tried to erase the memory within his mind, as he had always respected Master Plo as both a Jedi and a fellow pilot. Ahsoka could barely hold onto her tears, a few dripping down her face as she turned to Master Plo Koon in anguish.
The Jedi could sense both the grief and the overwhelming sadness that overtook the usually serene Master, and he only buried his masked face with both of his hands in despair.
"Wolffe...Sinker...Comet...", Plo Koon could only choke out as he desperately tried to know what Palpatine and the Kaminoans made them do.
Rex's face was blank as he received his new orders from high command. His eyes narrowed as the hologram of a hooded figure rescinded his mission to deliver Maul for trial in favour of a new one.
"Execute Order 66." A soft, sinister voice from the hooded figure spoke.
Like a droid whose program had been activated within him, Rex said in response.
"Yes...Lord Sidious". He bowed his head and acknowledged his new orders without protest.
As Palpatine's hologram winked out of existence, the doors opened with a hiss as Ahsoka rushed through. "Rex! It's Anakin. I feel like something terrible has happened."
Did she sense my betrayal?, Anakin worriedly thought for the Togruta, now panicking for Rex as he began to slowly recover from his ordeal.
Rex's hands trembled and the helmet in his hands shook before he lost his grip and it fell from his limp fingers.
"Rex…?" Ahsoka hesitantly spoke up as she noticed the Clones behind her were beginning to raise their weapons at her.
"No!" Rex ordered the guards to stand down before they could open fire.
"I'll do it."
Rex was already horrified to say the least, and Ahsoka only looked at him, betrayed. "Commander...I...I wouldn't hurt any of you..."
Some wanted to believe his words, but the actions of his brothers made others think otherwise.
"Rex, what's happening!?" Ahsoka approached only to freeze in her tracks when Rex pulled out his dual pistols and aimed them right at her head.
"Rex...", Anakin called out in fear as the rest of the Jedi slowly began to pull out their sabers from their robes in anticipation for anything that came from the Clone Commander.
"No...", Padme suddenly spoke, not wanting to believe that the betrayal of their clones was genuine. "Something's not right, as if something's telling him to do this!"
"Stay back!" Rex shouted, the blasters in hand trembling and throwing off his aim. Sweat beaded on his forehead and his face contorted in an ugly grimace as his fingers began tightening on the triggers.
Shaak Ti observed the scenario more carefully and, widening her eyes in realization, she spoke. "Senator Amidala's right...there is something wrong the Clones!"
"Or better yet, something is programming them to do so...", Obi-Wan added, wanting to believe in that theory as well.
"Find him. Find him. Fives. Find him", he uttered cohesively before he shouted. "FIVES!"
"Fives?", Anakin uttered, wondering what the late ARC Trooper had anything to do with what the Clones were doing.
With those words, the 501st Commander open fired on Ahsoka.
"NO!" Rex, Anakin, and Padme shouted helplessly for the former Jedi.
Back at Coruscant. a whole army of Clone troopers marched behind Lord Vader as they made their way to the Jedi Temple in silence as they moved in for Operation Knightfall: the eradication of the Jedi Order for their treason.
Anakin held in temples in disgust, anger and shame to himself, never imagining that he would lead the other half of the 501st to destroy the very life he had ever known. And immediately, the hateful image of Darth Sidious invaded his mind, holding on to his anger that made him the man he had hated. To the Jedi, they cannot imagine how their home would become another warzone that is to be invaded by the Sith, just as Darth Malgus had done several millennia ago.
"With most of the Masters in the Outer Rim being gunned down by their own Clone Troopers...that would only leave the Guard, Masters Drallig and Ti on its defense", Kit Fisto observed haphazardly.
"And considering how powerful Skywalker had become...", Shaak Ti spoke in a low tone. "Not many could stand up against him and the veteran 501st"
What I remember about the rise of the Empire is... is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant
"A traitor finds his voice...", Mace spoke in utter anger towards the narrator.
"It would only mean that Ahsoka had escaped Commander Rex...", Plo Koon said, hopeful that she had made it out.
It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word.
The Jedi heard the words clearly. It was as if something had invaded their minds that forced them to do this but none had a clue as to why indeed.
Not on the flight to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple.
Lord Vader and his troops finally reached the gates of the Temple where Gate Master Jurokk questioned Anakin on what was happening, before the risen Sith Lord killed him by igniting his lightsaber below the Jedi's jaw.
Not a word.
For a moment, Commander Grey paused at Depa, hesitating at the orders given to him, but not before raising his firearm immediately and open fired at Master Bilaba.
"Master!", Caleb cried out in horror. "Commander Grey!"
Depa managed to destroy Grey's blaster and knocked him to the ground, but not before more of her now-renegade troops appeared to gun her down. She deflected more bolts as she turned to her Padawan.
"YOU MUST RUN!", Depa shouted at him before another blasted bolt struck her right hand, disarming her as Caleb watch helplessly as more of her Clone troopers circled and executed her right before his very eyes.
The Padawan could only bury his face at his knees as he watched the brutal death of his Master at the hands of the friends and comrades. He felt a pair of arms circling him, but he couldn't raise his head as Depa embraced him in an effort to console him.
In a rare moment of camaraderie, Mace turned away from the screen momentarily, wanting to remove the memory of his apprentice's death within him.
At the Jedi Temple, Vader delivered a brutal blow by the knee to Serra Keto's abdomen, before sending her flying to collide to a wall by the Force. Outstretching his hand, Vader forced a collapsing pillar to the apprentice, crushing her by the waist down. While Commander Appo and the rest of his men dealt with those unfortunate enough to oppose them.
Jedi Battlemaster Cin Drallig could only watch in horror as he glanced over his dead apprentice's body as he turned his gaze to the Sith Lord.
"Your prized pupil is no more...", Vader mused almost mockingly, re-ignitng his lightsaber to illuminate his remorseless expression hidden underneath his robe's hood with his sapphire blade. "Perhaps you have a lesson for me instead, Master Drallig?"
"All this...is part of Sidious' grand scheme to destroy the Jedi?", Mundi finally spoke out in disbelief. "To defeat them from the inside?"
Yoda's ears lowered in pure grief as he spoke. "Begun...the Purge has"
Spectre: Now before any of you raised your torches and pitchforks as to why Rex and Ahsoka's were incomplete, remember this is Part One. Part two will be in for later.
