A/N The reason Autumn's going through a rough patch is I went through a rough patch when I was older than I'm writing her ever. Mine wasn't quite like hers, but I went through some stuff that upset me. It's next October in the story timeline and next November 21st is the day the mean girls are kicked out of school, as that's a Friday and that weekend's when the story timeline will perfectly align with real time, if I posted a chapter Saturday night, as said chapter would occur on that Saturday.
October came and Autumn got ready for school, then she and Sawyer got on the bus at their neighborhood bus stop. They arrived at school and as they were walking, Sawyer and Autumn got separated. The in crowd pointed, whispered and laughed at Autumn as she went by.
Autumn froze up and then began sobbing into her hanky. Sawyer spoke comforting words as Autumn wiped tears from her eyes and blew her nose. Autumn shook with sobs for awhile, then finally dried her eyes.
"Why are they so mean to me, Sawyer?" Autumn asked.
Sawyer said, "I'm so sorry you're going through this, Autumn. Sometimes people can be cruel without any reason. But their meanness says more about them than it does about you. You are kind, creative, and so very special." She hugged her friend and they began their day.
At the end of the day, Autumn and Sawyer rode the bus home and Autumn couldn't stop thinking about the mean girls. She got off the bus with tears in her eyes, so when she went in, she took a tissue box to her room. As she sat there crying and drying her tears with the tissues, she touched her Thomas toy and daydreamed of Sodor.
Autumn landed on Sodor, wiping her streaming tears and blowing her nose. She found Thomas at the station.
"Blow your nose and wipe your eyes," Thomas said. "Let it all out and I shall do what I can to help you feel happier after your tears dry.".
Autumn wet the whole box of tissues with her tears and nose-blowing by the time she felt better. Thomas then took her on a train ride down his branch line, with his crew's permission.
Autumn made her rounds of Sodor and saw all her friends after that, then said good-bye to Thomas, giving him a hug as she did so. She left Sodor with his whistle in her ears.
Autumn threw out her soggy tissues when she got home and went through her evening. She read herself a bedtime story and fell asleep, her stuffed Thomas in her arms.
A/N I wrote this not feeling so well, so if it's not as good as some of my other stuff, blame my cold.
