Bug catching contest

Lincoln uses the videophone to call home.

"Heya kiddos," Albert said."

"Hi pop-pop, hi gran-gran," the Louds said."

"Hey kiddos we saw the battle, it was amazing for both of you," Albert said." And thanks for having progress reports be sent to us."

"Thanks pop-pop," Lincoln said." And no problem, I wanted you guys to know what's going on."

"I'm just glad Togepi I mean Togetic won her first battle," Myrtle said."

"Yeah, I was worried," Darcy said."

"We all were Darcy," Lisa said."

"We're mostly glad you beat that harlot," Dana said."

"Yeah, and they looked fake," Becky said."

"I know right," Lori said."

The girls nod in agreement.

"Moving on, can I see my other grandsons and alternate granddaughters?" Albert asked."

"Sure," Lincoln replied."

Luke, Lena, Bandon, Lulu, Lauren, Libby, and Lizzy come to the screen. Skippy, Winston, and David blush seeing their alternate future girlfriends. Stella, Miguel, and the girls minus Sam (who was surprised seeing Luna's twin) blushed seeing Luke and Brandon.

'Wow, older Lola looks like a goddess,' Winston thought.'

'That's their alternate older brother, talk about cute,' Becky thought.'

'They maybe twins, but their hair tells them apart,' Girl Jordan thought.'

"Hi pop-pop," Luke said."

"Hi boys, I was really surprised to know about you all," Albert said." after seeing the report and hearing your stories, I'm so sorry."

"Yes, and I agree with Rita, no child should be stolen from their families," Myrtle said."

"Thanks, and after reunited with them in our universes we've gotten used to these knuckleheads," Brandon said."

"I even had Lori understand how it felt to the others using being born first excuse," Luke said as Lori gave him a deadpan look."

"And us twins did a lot of changes growing up," Lauren said."

"We heard from the report, and it really surprised us," Cricket said."

"I'm more worried about that Logan guy, he's killing every Lincoln in the multiverse and for what?" Rusty asked."

"Not sure Rusty, but we'll find out soon," Brandon replied."

"I sure hope so," Stella said."

"So, what are you guys going to do now?" Margo asked."

"Well, we're heading to the next town tomorrow," Lincoln replied." for now, we're taking a break and to train for a while."

"That's good to hear, just be careful now that team rocket's back," Albert said."

"We will," Lincoln said."

They wave goodbye and went to go eat while Rita works on her novel.

"Man, this food is so good," Sid said."

"Definitely," Adelaide said."

"It's impossible to resist this," Lena said."

"Another inspiration on this food," Lynn sr. said."

"Aye," Rosa said."

"I know, I almost look like my old self before having Lori," Rita said."

Suddenly a Typhlosion walks up to them.

"Whoa, what's this Pokémon?" Lana asked."

Lincoln has a vision seeing an hisuian version of Typhlosion.

"That's my Pokémon Typhlosion," a voice replied making Lincoln come to his senses."

They turn to see a boy walk up to them.

"Hi, who are you?" Lincoln asked."

"Names Jimmy, but my friends call me Gold," Gold replied."

"I'm Lincoln, and this is Pikachu, and this is my family," Lincoln said." My older brother Luke, my twin brother Brandon, my sisters Lori, Leni, Luna, Lena, Luan, Lynn, Lulu, Lauren, Libby, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lizzy, Lisa, and Lily. and my parents Rita and Lynn sr."

"I'm Ronnie Anne, and this is Eevee, and this is my Familia," Ronnie Anne said." My brother Bobby, my cousins Carlota, CJ, Carl, and Carlitos. my parents Maria and Arturo, my aunt and uncle Frida and Carlos, and my grandparents Rosa and Hector."

"I'm Clyde, and these are my dads Harold and Howard," Clyde said."

"And I'm Sid, and this is Chimchar, and my family," Sid said." My sister Adelaide and my parents Becca and Stanley."

"Nice to meet you all," Gold said." And I know who you are Lincoln."

"Really, how do you know my brother?" Lynn asked."

"Simple, every trainer knows about Lincoln, the boy who defeated the undefeatable kanto champion Ren," Gold replied."

"Oh," Lynn said."

"Gold!" another voice said."

They turn around to see a girl with blue hair with a Crocana and another girl with the brown hair with a Marill.

"Friends of yours?" Luna teased making Lena nudge her."

"Don't be stupid, they're just my friends," Gold replied." The one with blue hair is Kris, but everyone calls her Marina, and the one next to her is her sister Lyra."

"Hi," the two said."

"So, what brings you two here?" Gold said."

"1- we got these (showing some heart shape style cases) and 2- we're here for the bug catching contest," Marina replied."

"Oh yeah, me too," Gold said."

"Bug catching contest?" Lulu asked."

"And what are those?" Leni asked." they're totes fabulous."

"They're style cases," Lyra replied." they're used for accessories to style our Pokémon," Marina replied."

"And the bug catching contest is where trainers compete to catch the best bug Pokémon, get the best one and win a prize," Gold said." plus, you get to keep the Pokémon you caught."

"Sounds like fun, we should all try it out," Luke said."

"Wait, all of us?" Lori asked."

"Yeah, it'll let you guys' experience catching a Pokémon," Luke replied."

"Precisely, and it'll give you the feeling of catching Pokémon," Lena said."

"I don't see why not," Lynn sr. said."

"Yeah, let's go," Harold said."

They head to the competition and meet a girl wearing what look like a baseball uniform with a Chikorita.

"Alright partner, let's do this," the girl said until she sees Lincoln." Hey, you're Lincoln loud, the kanto champion!"

"That's my name but who are you?" Lincoln asked."

"I'm Casey and this is my starter partner Chicorita," Casey replied."

"Nice to meet you," Ronnie Anne said." we have a friend name Casey back home."

"So, what's with the uniform?" Adelaide asked."

"Oh, it's my baseball uniform of my favorite baseball team the Electabuzz," Casey replied."

Lynn felt cold after hearing the word baseball.

"Did I say something wrong?" Casey asked."

"Well," Lynn replied."

She explains everything that led to Lincoln becoming a trainer, Casey had a shocking look on her face.

"Are you crazy?!" Casey asked."

"Yeah, I was. but now, we worked things out," Lynn replied." But take my advice, don't focus on luck."

"Trust me, I won't focus on it," Casey said."

"Movin on, are entering the contest too?" Sid asked."

"Yup, I'm planning on catching every yellow and black Pokémon," Casey replied."

"Like a Beedrill?" Bobby asked."

"Yup," Casey replied."

"Then let's go," Lincoln said."

They all entered the contest and were given 20 sports balls.

"What are these?" Lola asked."

"They're sport balls," Gold replied." they're used for events like this."

"Cool," CJ said."

Everyone gathers with the other contestants.

"Welcome to the Pokémon bug catching contest, the best one gets the most points wins," the announcer said." now, let us begin!"

Everyone separates and go out catching. Sid catches a Venonat.

"Alright, got one," Sid."

Brandon catches a Yanma, Lincoln catches a Beedrill, Clyde catches Scatterbug, Bobby catches a Scyther, Ronnie Anne catches Paras, Luke catches a Ladyba, Lena catches a Kricketot, Lulu catches Pineco, and Lauren catches a Cutiefly. everyone else was having a hard time catching Pokémon.

"Man, this is hard, they just can't stay in the ball," Lynn said." I guess link was right, catching isn't easy."

"Catching Pokémon sure is ding dang tough," Lynn sr. said." But this is fun."

Soon the contest ends. everyone gathers to the announcer. Lola was covered in dirt and twigs looking upset.

"Finally, it's over," Lola said."

"Had a hard time?" Lana asked."

"What do you think?" Lola asked sarcastically."

"It was literally hard," Lori said."

"True, but it was fun," Luan said."

"I agree," Adelaide said."

"Yeah," CJ said."

"It's a great experience," Carlos said."

"Alright everyone, the winner of the contest is Gold for catching a Paras," the announcer said."

Gold receives his prize being some TMs. everyone gathers at the Pokémon center.

"Congratulations Gold," Lincoln said."

"Thanks," Gold said."

Lincoln sees Casey looking down.

"Hey Casey, didn't catch a Beedrill?" Lincoln asked."

"No," Casey replied."

(Gives her the sport ball containing Beedrill) "Here, you can have this Beedrill," Lincoln said."

"Really?!" Casey asked."

"Yeah, I already have my own," Lincoln replied."

She hugs him and takes the ball.

"Thanks, Lincoln! you're the best!" Casey said." I'll cherish this!"

She leaves waving goodbye.

"That was very nice of you kiddo," Lynn sr. said."

"I knew she really wanted one," Lincoln said."

"Welp, we better get going," Gold said."

"Where are you going?" Carl asked."

"To the next gym," Gold replied."

"Ah, so you're entering the league too?" Lincoln asked."

"Yup," Gold replied."

"Then I guess we're rivals," Lincoln said."

"Looks like it, I look forward to facing you," Gold said."

He leaves.

"We better get going too," Lyra said." But here, you can have these."

She gives Carlota, Leni, Lauren, Lola, and Adelaide heart shape style cases.

"Thank you! we'll put them to good use," Carlota said."

"Totes," Leni said."

Lyra and Marina leave.

"Time to rest guys," Luke said."

"I agree, after that fun contest, we should relax," Hector said."

Everyone goes to their rooms to sleep.

That's chapter 15, Lincoln made a new friend and rival. next chapter, Ronnie Anne catches the last starter.

I also wanted the families to experience having a hard time catching Pokémon.
