Chapter 845
Our Room
Savannah and Cameron exited the shower after they finished washing each other.
They laughed as they dried each other off. It was like two girls at summer camp playing around and having some fun.
Savannah could see Cameron's beauty as she patted her dry with the towel.
Cameron marveled at how beautiful Savannah was as she dried her off.
Savannah thought Cameron really looked happy for once - REALLY happy. They shared a good time just playing around. Not only was there a love connection, there was a friendship connection. It allowed them to connect at a different level in their interaction as opposed to a 'love only' relationship, like the one John and Cameron shared. Other than sex, John and Cameron didn't share anything else in common except Skynet.
They were both aware a 'love only' relationship often turned into a 'love-hate' relationship. A relationship like it slowly devolved over time. It was a relationship based on sex only. Two individuals usually found they were very dissatisfied after a very short time and sought 'comfort' elsewhere. A 'love only' relationship seemed to have a very short shelf life. If the two individuals decided to stay together, everything became a degree of 'toleration' they existed in with each other. It wasn't the case with the relationship Cameron and Savannah shared with each other as loving friends.
The smile slowly faded away. A serious look came over Cameron's face.
"Savannah…." Cameron started.
Savannah could see Cameron was still hesitant as to what she wanted to do and how to do it. She wanted to show Cameron she was committed to the 'Natural Order'. She told Cameron the words she wanted to say and mean them.
"I do…." Savannah said as she looked into Cameron's eyes.
Cameron didn't say anything for a few seconds.
Savannah decided to prompt Cameron a little more.
"This is the 'Honeymoon Suite'." Savannah said. "It's the one you chose."
Cameron's eyes flashed blue for a second. It was something Savannah seldom saw. It appeared to be spontaneous.
In a quick and swift motion, Cameron swept Savannah up off her feet. She carried Savannah to the heart shaped bed in the main bedroom. They were both still naked.
Savannah leaned down and pulled the bed open as Cameron held her. The smooth satin sheets waited for their bodies. The open bed called them.
Cameron and Savannah's eyes were locked as Cameron gently laid Savannah on the bed.
The atmosphere was filled with anticipation.
Cameron looked into Savannah's eyes.
"I do…." Cameron said.
Cameron climbed on top of Savannah, her still damp hair fell around and enclosing their ever nearing faces.
They both wanted to make their commitment to each other and the future clear.
"For better or for worse…." They both said at the same time.
It appeared the moment finally arrived.
It was beautiful.
They both knew where things were headed. It was where both of them wanted it to go. They both knew it should have actually happened several years ago. The time for waiting and indecision was over. Now it was time for love.
Their lips just started to touch….
Young Allison was very worried as the events began to unfold in Las Vegas. John and John Henry were both in Las Vegas. John Henry's server was still online and worked in conjunction with CamNet. Anna was with her in the Young bunker.
She felt a responsibility to take a bigger role in whatever events were about to happen. She didn't think John should have left the Command Center to go to Las Vegas. She was aware if he was out in the field, Cameron would direct all of her assistance to go to him to protect him. It only further endangered Cameron and Savannah.
She went down to the bunker with Anna not too long ago. Bob and Summer were together when she left. Bob possessed plenty of experience out in the field. He also was involved in combat operations in Cameron's future. She felt Bob's presence would be beneficial based upon the current circumstances as they unfolded in Las Vegas.
"Keep track of those Grays." Young Allison said. "Is Bob still here? I want Bob in here with us."
A few seconds later Bob appeared at the top of the bunker stairway. Summer was next to him.
Young Allison was sure events were going to take a negative turn in regards to the operation in Las Vegas. She didn't think it was something Summer would need to view. She personally thought it was something she should get acclimated to. She didn't want to listen to any negative feedback from her mother about it.
"Have Hanna or Holly watch Summer for now." Young Allison said. "Bob, I'd like your input on things."
Bob became alert. There must be something going on. He hurried down the stairs and joined the girls.
"Is there a problem?" Bob asked as he started to look at the monitors.
Anna gave him a quick rundown of all he things which happened so far. At least the things they knew about.
Young Allison felt Cameron and Savannah needed to be updated and brought into the loop. They were the ones closest to the danger zone. She didn't agree with the earlier order not to disturb Cameron. She didn't know what was going on, but started to get a sense of what it might possibly be. She felt the new level of danger over road anything else.
"I want to alert Cameron and Savannah." Young Allison said.
Bob looked quickly at Anna. He was sure it was going to cause a problem. He agreed with Young Allison, but felt he needed to point out what was most likely to occur.
"Cameron doesn't like to be disturbed." Bob said. "She will become angry."
He was aware Cameron asked not to be disturbed from what Anna said earlier. He made no effort to speculate what the possible reason, or reasons, may be. Often when Cameron was involved, it was probably better not to know.
Young Allison viewed things a little differently. She wanted everyone to know what the potential danger was based upon where they were at. Their proximity to the threat was her main concern. She knew survival was more important than anything else. If you weren't alive, nothing else mattered. She glanced briefly at Anna and Bob, and looked at the security camera. It clearly made what her point of reference was.
"I'll take the risk. This is a threat." Young Allison said. "CamNet, I want Cameron notified with a priority alert at once. I'm acting on my own accord."
Bob and Anna looked at each other. It was evident Young Allison was going to use her influence on CamNet. They both knew the only other person who could do it was Savannah. When the 'Chosen Ones' spoke, everyone listened. It was something Cameron instilled in all of them. She informed all of them Savannah and Young Allison would always make the proper decision and do the right thing. Doing the 'right thing' wasn't a Terminator strong point. Accomplishing the task or goal was.
'I've been asked not to disturb Cameron.' Was the message which appeared on Young Allison's screen.
It was CamNet.
Young Allison understood the predicament everyone seemed to be paralyzed by. She wasn't. Cameron taught her to act and to stand up for herself. She was about to do both.
'I understand your situation. The infraction is on me. You may inform them of it as well. It's a judgment call. I take responsibility for changing any previous instructions related to the current situation. I want Cameron AND Savannah notified with a priority alert at once.' Young Allison typed. 'There's a threat. I'm asking you. Please, do it - NOW.'
Bob and Anna looked at each other. Young Allison was about to 'stand up to' Cameron and CamNet. They could both see the 'Cameron' in Young Allison. Or was it the 'Allison' they actually saw in Cameron…? It was clear when she believed in something, she wasn't about to back down. This was clearly a case of what Young Allison believed was the 'right thing' to do. It was what Cameron informed them needed to be done, by everyone. They needed to listen and respond appropriately.
Young Allison was aware she would ruffle some feathers at this point. There were Grays on the ground in the vicinity of where Cameron and Savannah were. At least where they last showed up on the tracking. John and his team were on the ground now. They weren't in the vicinity of the danger zone yet. Everyone needed to be on the same page.
She viewed this as a very serious matter. It was more than likely there were going to be dead people in a very short time. She wanted to make sure none of those dead people were John or Savannah. She didn't want any damaged or destroyed Terminators either. There was still only a limited number of Terminators there in Las Vegas. They didn't know what the Skynet forces would be able to do in Las Vegas. She didn't want to find out the hard way.
Cameron was on top of Savannah about to kiss her. It was their first long awaited kiss. It was finally about to happen. It was something both of them wanted to share for a very long time. There were several other instances where it almost happened, but it didn't. It was usually interrupted by something Skynet related. It looked like today was going to be different.
Their lips were just about to touch….
Cameron and Savannah both jumped when their phones went off with a priority alert.
Maybe today wasn't different after all.
"Not now…." Cameron said.
There was a strained look of hurt and disappointment on their faces. The priority alert needed their immediate attention. It was an indication of imminent danger or someone in the Resistance was in trouble and needed help.
Cameron's first concern was for John. She tried to keep him out of harm's way for now. Maybe he did something foolish again and disregarded what was best for him. He always seemed to have a way to do it.
Savannah experienced a tight feeling in her gut. It wasn't as strong as the pain in her heart for another lost moment with Cameron. There was no way to go forward with what they were about to do when someone was in a jam. If one of the team needed help, they needed help. They wouldn't get the alert otherwise.
"Something must have happened." Savannah said. "It can't be good."
Savannah slid off the satin sheets. She needed to go back into the main room of the Honeymoon Suite. She looked for her phone on the floor. She hoped it wasn't about anything which might have happened to John. Maybe it was one of the girls. Oh no, she hoped it wasn't Young Allison.
Cameron was just as worried. She knew John and the Metal girls were on their way to Las Vegas. She asked CamNet to delay their arrival. She wanted some 'alone time' with Savannah first.
"I don't know." Cameron said as she scrambled for her phone. "I hope not."
They looked for their coms as well. They both removed them before they went into the steamy shower, together.
"Grays!" They both said at the same time as they found their phones.
Cameron felt the disappointment grow inside of her. The special moment she wanted for so long was just stolen from her, again. Skynet seemed to be a never ending curse, which tended to rear its ugly head at the most inopportune times. She did want Savannah to know how she felt and what she thought was going to happen.
"I didn't want to be bothered." Cameron said. "I wanted to be with you, Savannah."
Cameron felt upset now.
Savannah was equally disappointed. She saw this for the threat it was. It was danger not only to John and the Metal girls, but also to Cameron and herself.
"Only Young Allison could have made it happen." Savannah said. "She's worried about our safety. It was the 'right thing' to do. She's trying to protect John and us. It's the 'Natural Order' asserting itself. The threat is closest to us."
Cameron needed to agree with Savannah. She also needed to agree with Young Allison's decision. She was sure Young Allison could be extremely jealous. She didn't think it was the case in this instance. No one should know where they were right now except CamNet. She could only figure Young Allison made her decision based on where their last reported position was indicated.
"I know Young Allison meant well." Cameron said. "She made the correct call too. I blocked our tracking. She didn't know we were HERE. She couldn't know what was happening right now. She only knew we were in the area earlier."
Cameron and Savannah were sure their 'interruption' wasn't intentional, at least not this time. The timing on some of the other interruptions was debatable. They might have actually been more attributed to CamNet's interference than anything. What was done was done.
Savannah and Cameron started to get dressed as they were updated on everything.
Cameron wanted to go over who all was on the ground and what they had to work with.
"John and his team are on the ground." Cameron said. "John Henry is with him along with Gail, Ally, Sheila, and Cammy. Dan and Frank are still outside of the city limits. The train is still some time behind them. I really thought we were going to have a little more free time until things picked up."
Savannah looked away when Cameron mentioned Cammy. It wasn't so much she felt any guilt for where she was at. She always told Cammy from the first time they were together where her true love was directed and who it was. She was sure Cammy could be very jealous towards Cameron. She was pretty sure Young Allison could be very jealous towards everyone. She would need to allow Young Allison to 'experience' everyone once they were 'active'. Young Allison always told her she was going to do everything she did. It was clear she meant it too. She didn't think there would be any negative feedback directed at her from either of them now.
CamNet updated both of them on what Dan and Frank experienced, the location of the train and its ETA, as well as the location and movement of the Grays. There were two of them spotted. It meant there was most likely more somewhere else around there.
Savannah realized based upon their current location, the Grays were the closest to them. They were less than a mile away from them. She actually understood Young Allison's concern. Cameron took them off the grid, and their last reported position was very near where the Grays were spotted. At the time Young Allison made her call for the priority alert, she didn't know where they were at currently. She only knew they were very close to where the Grays were spotted. The fact they were off the grid could indicate they might even be closer to the Grays than they were aware of. She realized Young Allison made the correct call beyond all doubt. She would have done the same. Young Allison didn't want them to get ambushed without fair warning if it could be prevented.
Cameron decided she was going to personally terminate the two Grays for what they 'cost' her. It was her private moment to consummate her love with Savannah. She should be in the arms of Savannah right now, not about to search for her weapons, and then the targets which were just identified.
She was also now aware John attempted to contact her earlier. She was informed he attempted to contact Savannah as well. CamNet respected her wishes not to be disturbed by anyone else. She was very dissatisfied with John leaving the Resistance base in the first place. Now whatever additional assistance Savannah and her would have been able to receive, wasn't going to happen. They would be on their own.
Cameron received a report on the activity from The Young bunker and saw Young Allison acted on her own, and acted decisively, even when Anna and Bob both told her it was a bad idea. She was very pleased Young Allison did as she was trained. She also did the right thing.
Savannah dressed herself rapidly. She was just as disappointed as Cameron, maybe more. It was what she wanted more than anything and it slipped through her fingers - AGAIN. It was Skynet related - AGAIN.
Cameron could see Savannah looked very upset as well. She wanted her to know there would be retribution for what was taken from them - AGAIN.
"Someone is going to pay for this." Cameron said.
Savannah couldn't agree with Cameron more right now. She would like to terminate them herself. In fact it was exactly what you planned to do. There were two targets identified so far. Right now there was one for each of them to terminate.
"Damn straight." Savannah said.
Both of them checked their weapons and Tasers.
They were just about ready to go.
"Payback is a Bitch." Cameron said.
Savannah nodded in agreement as she stowed her weapons.
"Right now there are two of them too - US." Savannah said.
They both took another look at the heart shaped bed with the satin sheets as they headed for the door.
So close, but yet so far away….
Earlier:
John's team arrived at Las Vegas. They were given priority clearance to land after a slight delay in the flight with an unscheduled detour over the Grand Canyon and the National Parks of southern Utah. The extra flight time was 'thanks' to Cameron and CamNet.
They weren't given what the reason was for Cameron to delay their arrival. Perhaps it was to provide for additional security on the ground. There was no explanation given. The real surprise was how the delay was immediately ended, and by whom. It was clear there was more than one force at play.
Gail followed her instructions and parked the aircraft at the jet ramp.
There were two SUVs waiting there for them.
There was one attendant there from the rental company. He was a little surprised when he saw the group exit the aircraft. It appeared the super Hot chick he dealt with before at the Cessna, was now on the jet which just landed. It looked like her sister was with her as well. He approached her.
Cammy noticed the attendant exit one of the SUVs and approached them. She had John Henry and Gail hold John behind. Sheila and Ally were there to back her up. She walked forward to intercept the attendant.
"May I help you?" Cammy asked.
The attendant looked at her for a moment. He noticed her clothing was different now. He wondered when she got onto the jet and what happened to the young redhead who was with her. Maybe she took the original SUV. Her new friends were just as hot. He wondered where they went for such a short time. Maybe they flew to Reno and picked up the others.
"Hello." The attendant said. "I brought the other two SUVs in different colors like you requested."
He handed her four sets of keys. He indicated which keys were for which color vehicle.
"Thank you." Cammy said.
Cammy figured Cameron must have dealt with the individual earlier. She reached in her pocket and took out some money. She gave him five one hundred dollar bills.
The attendant's face lit up.
"Wow! Thank you." The attendant said. "It's the same as last time. I've never been tipped so well before. I really appreciate it."
Cammy looked at the two SUVs and the sedan parked behind them. It was clear there were other individuals associated with the operation.
"Make sure everyone gets a little something." Cammy said.
The attendant looked very happy and started to walk away.
"I will." The attendant said.
He stopped and looked at Cammy again. He took out a business card and handed it to her.
"Call me if you need anything. I have a lot of connections in Vegas." The attendant said. "I really like your new outfit. I'm glad you changed. You look even more beautiful now than you did earlier."
Cammy looked down at her clothes. She wondered what he meant.
"Thank you." Cammy said. "It's hot out."
John watched the attendant leave. He got into a sedan parked in back of the two SUVs. If there was a second driver for the SUVs he didn't see them. She wasn't really sure what the exchange was all about at the end.
"It is nice Cameron arranged for these vehicles to be here for us." John said. "It saved us some time to acquire some vehicles legitimately. We'll split into two teams."
Cammy watched the attendant until he left. She didn't really care for John's statement about acquiring vehicles legitimately. If they needed a vehicle she would get one. It didn't matter how it was acquired. If they needed one, they needed one. She looked at the other Metal girls.
Sheila and Ally wondered who was going to make decisions about their duty assignments. The logical choice would have been John. It was what they waited for.
Cammy looked at the two SUVs and everyone else waiting outside of the jet.
"I'll be on John's team along with John Henry." Cammy said.
Everyone knew it was the 'Cameron' in her talking.
Cammy handed John Henry one set of keys. She kept one for herself. She handed the other two sets of keys to John. She wanted to see what he would do with them since he was on their team. He would need to make the choice for the other team.
John looked at the two sets of keys Cammy handed him. He handed both sets to Gail.
"Gail will be the team leader of the second team." John said. "Ally and Sheila will be with her."
Sheila and Ally both made a grab for one of the sets of keys Gail held.
Gail quickly closed her hand and kept both of them.
Sheila and Ally both looked a little indignant.
"There goes all the fun." Sheila said.
"Yup…." Ally said.
Gail was there to help protect Savannah. She needed to remind herself John was there as well.
"Now you know why I'm the team leader." Gail said as she gave both of them stern looks. "We need to protect Savannah and Cameron too."
Ally carried the duffel bag full of the confiscated money.
"At least we have all the cash." Ally said. "I'm going to double it."
Sheila scoffed at Ally.
"I'll triple it." Sheila said.
"I'll win more than you." Ally said.
"Will not." Sheila said.
"Will so." Ally said.
"I'm better than you." Sheila said.
"I'm better than you." Ally said.
Cammy didn't want to hear them continue to squabble. She didn't want to make a big deal about it in front of John either. She smacked both of them on the behind.
"We have a JOB to do FIRST." Cammy reminded them. "Besides, if we're going to increase the amount of money, we should do it tenfold for starters."
They quickly transferred the weapons and equipment into the two SUVs.
Ally wondered what the carry-on bags were for Gail kept a close watch on.
"What do you have there, Gail?" Ally asked.
Gail gave her an answer which was technically correct. There was considerably more to the explanation she didn't want to get into.
"It's something for Cameron." Gail said. "Her clothes were trashed after being on, and under, the moving train. I know it must have been very dangerous for her."
Cammy looked down at her clothes. She now understood what the attendant who brought the vehicles meant, and why he looked at her clothes. She was sure it probably looked like Cameron experienced 'a bad hair day' on top of it.
John Henry saw on the security cameras before they left when Gail obtained things from both Cameron's room and Savannah's room.
He began to wonder what type of clothes they were.
Bob wasn't happy with all the recent developments. When John was out, he was always by his side. Cameron tried to always make sure he was with John if she wasn't available. She seldom was anymore.
"I should be with John." Bob said.
Young Allison noticed right away Bob seemed somewhat upset.
"You're with me instead." Young Allison said.
Bob still felt his place was at John's side. He felt as if he let both John and Cameron down.
"I want to protect John." Bob said. "It's my function."
Young Allison took Bob's hand to reassure him. She also stated what she wanted to do. She knew Bob would scan her as she spoke.
"So do I." Young Allison said. "I want to protect Savannah, Cameron, and everyone else too. I'm responsible for all of them."
Bob looked at her. He knew she was serious. He wondered what Cameron 'did' to her. He also knew the effort Savannah put in to be there for all of them as well. Savannah always held her ground and fought. It was clear to him Young Allison was going to do the same thing. He just witnessed her stand up to 'direct orders' from Cameron and CamNet. Nobody does it with either of them, let alone to both of them. He also knew she made the right call.
The sound of angry voices drifted down from upstairs. It was clear there was a major issue developing.
Anna and Young Allison exchanged glances.
"Let me go see what's wrong." Anna said.
Bob was concerned with what the trouble was.
"I'll accompany you." Bob said.
Young Allison felt a new challenge. It was time to 'stand up' and get involved.
"No, I'll do it." Young Allison said. "I need to be like Savannah and try to resolve issues and fix problems. I want to help."
Bob and Anna looked at each other.
Young Allison looked directly at both of them.
"I'll be back." Young Allison said.
Cameron and Savannah headed out of the Honeymoon Suite. Savannah took one last look back before she closed the door. She really hoped they would be back there again before too long. She spotted the food cart still sitting there. She was hungry, but there was work to do. She hadn't been able to eat - anything. She left it untouched and closed the Honeymoon Suite door. She let out a slight sigh as she did. It looked like some of the food was gourmet items. Maybe there was an energy bar in one of the vests.
Cameron glanced over at her but didn't say anything.
They entered the special express elevator for the quick ride down. They passed by some of the casino areas, but didn't enter the main casino. There were the sounds of plenty of gambling going on. They didn't look back. They were headed outside.
Cameron and Savannah retrieved their SUV.
It was clear Cameron was upset.
"I'm taking the Grays down." Cameron said. "I don't want John in danger. He shouldn't even be here. He never listens to me. I don't want him around any of the combat which is sure to develop."
Savannah was aware they were the closest team to where the Grays were spotted. She knew there would be combat of some type. She hoped they would be able to keep it one sided and get the advantage. They hoped they knew about the enemy, but the enemy didn't know about them.
"We need to surveil the Grays first and see what they're up to." Savannah said. "We must see if they check the boxcars and notice what was done. What you did."
She knew it would determine how things would play out going forward if the Grays were able to determine the Skynet equipment was hijacked.
"You're right." Cameron said. "I did have a lot of help. It wasn't just me. It was a team effort. Everyone played a part, even if indirectly."
Savannah looked at Cameron. She wanted to say something before they entered potential combat. There was always the chance one of them may be terminated.
"Cameron…." Savannah started.
Cameron could feel Savannah's frustration. She felt it too.
"I'm sorry…." Cameron said.
The girls said what they felt. They both thought it was important.
"I am too." Savannah said. "I love you, Cameron."
They exchanged a meaningful look with each other.
"I love you too, Savannah." Cameron said.
Savannah knew with John out in the field, it would continue to cause a problem. She figured it would cause a bigger problem if he was mobile. She came up with a way to contain where he would be at. She wanted to run it by Cameron.
"Maybe we can have John set up 'base' in the hotel room." Savannah said. "We can try to keep him off the street for now anyway. It will be a little less dangerous for him on the top floor of a casino hotel. John Henry is here as well. They can set up a mini Command Center, and stay away from the combat."
Cameron tilted her head slightly, and then frowned.
"It's - OUR room." Cameron said. "I need to know he's safe, or at least safer than out on the street. I think it is an excellent idea. It will at least put some type of restraints on him. When he's on the street, I don't have any control of him. I'll have CamNet notify John Henry. I don't feel like talking to John right now. I'm still angry he's out in a danger zone. I do want him protected. I can't let anything happen to him."
Savannah understood what Cameron meant about the Honeymoon Suite being 'their room'. She didn't know what the availability of other rooms were. If CamNet was to become involved in the process, it would be up to her to determine what happened.
Cameron was even angrier because of what John's actions prevented from occurring with Savannah and her.
"I still don't like the fact we were disturbed." Cameron said.
Savannah didn't want Cameron to be upset at anyone, especially at Young Allison.
"Young Allison didn't know where we were, or what we were 'doing'. I should actually say, about to do." Savannah said. "She's worried about us. She didn't have any way to know if the Grays might be stalking us."
Cameron thought about it for a short while.
"No. SHE didn't, but CamNet did." Cameron said. "I know CamNet released the information on purpose at the time she did to Young Allison. It was done so it would interfere with us. CamNet has done it before. CamNet is very unstable and temperamental. I may still have to deactivate her. I don't like the way she does things."
Savannah thought about what Cameron indicated for a few moments.
"Are you saying CamNet did it to 'stop us'?" Savannah asked. "CamNet couldn't have known what we were specifically doing at any given moment."
Cameron knew it was true. She thought the Honeymoon Suite was a pretty good indication though. They could have been monitored through their phones or coms.
"Maybe…." Cameron said.
Savannah wanted to know the answer to the question.
"I'll ASK her." Savannah said. "The next time I see her I'll find out. I want to know for sure."
Cameron still felt uneasy about everything involved with it.
"I know what she 'wants'." Cameron said. "I know what she wants from you."
Savannah believed Cameron should know what CamNet wanted. CamNet was created from Cameron's program after all. She thought maybe it was best not to bring it up right now. She did want to say what her motives and beliefs were.
"I need to protect Young Allison." Savannah said. "Please leave it alone. It was an unhealthy relationship which started to develop for Young Allison. It was going to leave emotional scars on Young Allison if I hadn't stopped it."
Cameron knew she was responsible for a lot of manipulation. It was clear to her CamNet did the same things. She really couldn't blame anyone else for it.
"It was probably done on purpose too." Cameron said. "I think I'll need to deactivate CamNet and reprogram her - it."
Savannah didn't like to hear the type of talk from Cameron. It was a subject they were over multiple times.
"We've talked about this before." Savannah said. "I don't want it done. Whatever is happening NOW will happen again if you do everything the same way. Nothing will change or be different. Let me 'talk' with her."
Cameron always feared she became Skynet. Now she believed she did through CamNet. CamNet is probably the version of her which becomes Skynet. All the pieces of the puzzle were there. They just hadn't been put together yet.
"I think I've created the computer which blows up the world." Cameron said. "I'm unstable, so it means CamNet is as well."
Savannah didn't think Cameron was unstable.
"AT least it won't be YOU who becomes Skynet and destroys everything then." Savannah said.
Cameron didn't see a difference.
"It's the same thing. It's my program." Cameron said.
Savannah thought about it for a moment.
"Your program may be the base program, but it's still not you." Savannah said.
Savannah selected a song on her phone.
'It's The End Of The World As We Know It' by 'R.E.M.', filled the inside of the SUV.
Savannah smiled at Cameron and Cameron smiled back.
They both felt fine.
Closing monologue by Cameron:
You Can't Do This
I do not understand
I can not understand
I will not understand
I refuse to understand
Do I even exist
Am I even real
I know what we did feel
It was not surreal
You pretend it never was
Like it never happened
Now I'm just abandoned
You know it wasn't imagined
You only lie to yourself
I know the love was there
You leave me in despair
Then immediately look elsewhere
What's wrong with YOU
Our love you dismiss
Cast me into an abyss
You can't do this
Nobody
