Kathleen sat on her chair watching the people she went to university with. They were all done eating and the party was going strong. People were drinking, dancing, talking and laughing.
"Are you okay?" Damian asked.
Kathleen turned her head and looked at Damian who had sat down on the chair next to her.
"Why wouldn't I be?" She asked.
"It can't be easy being here after everything Liv put you through. She was cruel," he said.
"You all were," she said.
"I never did anything to you," he said.
"You never did anything to help me either. You sat back with a book or stayed close to your friends while watching it all happen," she said.
"And I regret that. I was a scared boy back then," he said.
"I have a hard time imagining someone your size being scared of someone like Liv," she said.
"I was scared I would be her next target," he said.
"And there lies the real problem. You didn't care about me or the hell I was put through. You only cared about saving your own ass," she said "And you can't say you were a scared boy. You were an adult, Damian. We all were."
He quickly slammed back the rest of his drink. He knew she was right. He had failed her in order to protect himself. He was a coward back then and he still was.
"I need another drink," he said.
He got up and walked over to the bar. He poured himself another drink and walked over to Finn to talk. He didn't even dare look over at Kathleen. He could feel her staring at him. Once again he was failing her by keeping quiet.
"I need air," Bayley said. "Raquel, do you have a key for the balcony?"
"Of course," Raquel said.
Raquel walked over to the glass door leading to the balcany and unlocked it.
"Thank you, wonderful woman," Bayley said.
Bayley stepped out on the balcany and suddenly other people starting moving out there too for some much needed air. Charlotte, Becky, Drew, Braun, Roman, Dean, Chelsea, Carlito and Grayson moved outside too. They all laughed both outside and inside and then a small boom sounded. Screams followed as the balcony crashed down to the ground with all ten people on it.
"Roman! Dean!" Seth screamed.
Seth ran to the open door and looked down. All ten people were clearly dead from the fall but he refused to accept it.
"Roman! Dean!" Seth screamed again. "Say something!"
"What the fuck happened?" Liv asked.
"The balcony crashed. It was old and probably couldn't hang on anymore," Aleister said.
"Hang on! I'm coming down!" Seth screamed.
Seth turned to look at the other people in the room.
"Call for help," Seth said.
"I got no signal," Raquel said.
Everyone checked their phones but no one had any signal.
"We need to help them," Seth said.
