After a long rest, Compa, Iffy, and Blanc have tended to their wounds and regained some strength. Compa had a big smile as they finished eating a breakfast she had made: "Nothing like a full tummy to start the day."

Iffy finishes the rest of her food, "Damn right!"

Blanc cleaned her face with a Napkin and stood up to get ready, "Indeed, now I think we should proceed with caution."

Iffy and Compa nodded in agreement, and the three girls packed up their things, then began to venture forth and ran into Sans, who was standing next to a telescope. He waved at them, "Hey guys! I was thinking about getting started in the telescope business."

Blanc Bluntly responds, "Good for you."

Sans continues, "It's normally 5000G to use this premium telescope, but since you know you girls. One of you can use it for free. Howzabout it!?"

Compa and Iffy nod no, while Blanc on the other hand shrugs and tries it herself only to see the color red, "Sheesh no wonder why the others don't want to do anything with you!" She pulls back to have a red-painted spot around her eye, "You are a scammer!"

Sans chuckles, "What not to your satisfaction? Well, I will give you a full refund!"

Compa whispers to Iffy, "Should we tell her?"

Iffy nods no, and they witness Blanc grab Sans by the jacket, "Is this a damn joke to you?"

Sans continues to chuckle at Blanc's expense, "I guess you are seeing red aren't you?"

Blanc huffs and pushes him away, walks away from him, and then stands next to a light bulb-shaped monster with feet and beady eyes. It looks at Blanc and asks, "What's a star? Can you touch it? Can you eat it? Can you kill it? Are you a star?"

Blanc sighs as she answers the questions, "A star is a giant ball of fire-like plasma that burns hot and bright, so bright you can see them very far away, hence why they look so small when you see them. Touching them is ill-advised because you will burn alive, and trying to eat them will lead to the same result. I don't know if they can be killed, and lastly no I am not a star. Not unless you mean to be metaphorical"

"Oh, thank you, kind lady" The monster waddles away.

Blanc sighs as she wipes her face and sees red paint and her face glares at the telescope which Sans cheekily smiles at Blanc, "You little shit!"

Sans chuckles, "What? Got something in your eye?"

Blanc stood up and tried to go after him but Compa and Iffy blocked her from doing so, "You are pushing it skele-freak!"

Compa chuckles nervously, "How about we go get a snack."

Iffy nods as she pulls Blanc away from Sans while glaring at Sans, who is just smiling at the whole thing, "Yeah a little desert could help us. Besides I kinda want something cold after eating that breakfast."

Blanc huffs and fixes her hair while her red CPU eyes glare at Sans, "Fine" She reluctantly follows the girls trying not to turn back to teach Sans a lesson.

"I hope we find the nice cream guy" Compa cheerfully commented, then she spots him and begins jogging towards him. "it's him!"

"The nice cream guy?" Blanc questioned.

Iffy laughs as she picks up her walking pace, "Trust me Blanc, you might like this!"

Blanc sighs as she picks up her own pace to catch up with the two girls. She catches a glimpse of The Nice Cream guy ahead sighing to himself as he lets out his thought as the girls approach, "I relocated my store, but there are still no customers. Fortunately, I have thought of a solution! Punch cards! Every time you buy a nice cream, you can take a punch card from the box! If you have 3 cards, you can trade them in for a nice cream. They're sure to get the customers to come back!"

Iffy nods at the idea, "That is not a bad idea, quite an effective marketing strategy."

Compa giggles, "Nice cream! The frozen threat that warms the heart."

The Nice Cream guy timidly says, "That's my line!"

Iffy gave The Nice Cream Guy 75G, "We would like three nice creams please."

"Here ya go!" The Nice Cream guy says, after he went into his freezer to grab the treats and present it to them. Iffy grabs the three threats and then gives one to Blanc and the other to Compa, while keeping the last one for herself. The girls ventured off waving goodbye to The Nice Cream Guy who is proceeding to punch their cards.

Blanc takes a bite out of hers and stares at the treat smiling, "Salty, yet sweet. Kind of like this flavor."

Compa decides to call Papyrus and put him on speaker, "Hey Papyrus, any updates?" Iffy just looks at her wondering why she is even calling him

Papyrus cheerfully answers, "Hello friends! Is Sans still doing his telescope thing?"

Blanc responds with a bitter tone, "He is trying to make some shabby business of it."

Papyrus sighs, "Of course he is, well to give you the information you are asking. Remember when I asked you about clothes? Well, the friend who wanted to know, her opinion of you is very murdery, but I bet you knew that already! And because you knew that I told her what you told me, you were not wearing a white bathing suit."

"Damn it, Papyrus" Iffy groans as she facepalms.

Papyrus continues, "Because I knew! Of course, after suspicious questions, you would obviously change your clothes. You are such a smart cookie! This way you're safe and I didn't lie!"

Blanc scratched her head and spoke, "How can? What?"

Papyrus happily finishes his thoughts, "No betrayal anywhere! Being friends with everyone is easy!" The girls hear audio laughter and the sounds of him jumping for joy.

Compa hangs up the phone smiling at what transpired, "What a silly skeleton!"

Blanc still trying to comprehend what happened, "This guy is quite the character I see"

"Poor guy just trying to help" Iffy responded.

Compa and Iffy, as well as Blanc, finish their treats, as they continue to walk through Waterfall. They pass by an echo flower that asks about a wish from the past conversation but the voice catches Blanc's attention as she listens, "I do have a wish but it won't come true"

Blanc walked up to the echo flower with a surge of familiarity, "That voice."

Iffy takes note of this, "This is the voice of someone you knew."

Blanc shakes it off, "I thought it was, but I must be wrong." She presses forward and seems slightly off.

Compa stared at Blanc, "She seems off that is so unlike her."

Iffy nods, "Yeah, she got shaken up by that echo flower."

Blanc sees more writings on the walls and wanting to distract herself she reads them out loud for Compa and Iffy, "Interesting. It says "The power to take human souls. This is the power humans fear from monsterkind." Huh, makes sense."

Iffy sighs and shrugs, "Explains why they are so hellbent on coming after us."

Compa whines and pouts, "Why must they be at war for this."

Blanc looks down and takes in a deep breath, "Fear. It is a very strong motivator in the right circumstances and could lead people to do things they would not normally do."

The three girls come across a large river flowing adjacent to them. As they walked tentacles came out of the water, "Oh hell no! We are keeping this PG here so better get lost before you become fried calamari!"

An onion-shaped head peered out of the water announcing itself, "Hey there, notice you were here. I'm Onionsans! Onionsans, ya hear."

Compa gets uncomfortable at the sight of the giant octopus monster, "Ew! Giant octopus!"

Onion follows them, "You're visiting Waterfall, huh! It's great here, huh!? You love it, Right?"

Iffy tries to politely dismiss the creature, "Hi, it is nice to meet you. Yeah, great place, but no offense but we are kind of in a hurry."

Onionsans continues to follow them, "Yeah me too! It's a big favorite, even though the waters are getting so shallow here. I have to sit down all the time. Hey, that's ok! It beats moving to the city and living in crowded aquariums like all my friends did."

Compa responds, "Yeah, but you're making us uncomfortable, please go away."

Onionsans didn't listen as they continued to follow them, "Aquariums full anyways. So, even if I wanted to, I..." The octopus changed his thoughts trying not to feel sad, That's okay though ya hear! Undyne's going to fix everything! I'm going to live out in the ocean!"

Iffy turns to Onionsans, "If you don't get lost I will turn you into fried Calamari!"

Blanc smiles still lost in thought, "Oh, I would kill for some seafood dipped in butter!"

Onionsans freaked out by what Blanc said, "Oh ok! We are at the end of the road anyways, so I will see you around!" Onionsans quickly sink themselves in the water and swam away.

Iffy looked at Blanc, "Geez, sadist isn't a look for you!"

Blanc daydreams and seems to be more lost in thought, "Sorry kind of missing someone cooking they used makes such nice seafood especially baked Mackerel with butter and lemon, and its always good after a good book."

Iffy had a worried expression, but before she could say anything she was cut off by her phone ringing, "Huh, Papyrus is calling us again?" She answers the phone.

Papyrus spoke loudly, "I called to give you an update! I've heard a shy monster lives around here. Well, if you want to get someone to open up! You should engage them in combat!"

This comment seemed to snap Blanc out of her deep thought and made her slump forward tilting her head with a slightly agape mouth, "In what world is that sound advice at all?"

Iffy sighs as she hangs up, "I feel like I just lost some brain cells after hearing that.

Compa chuckles as she looks back at Iffy and Blanc, "He so much like Nep-Nep!" She bumps into Shyren who looks like a mermaid with spikes on her back. She does not look at them, yet Compa, Iffy, and Blanc's soul hearts becomes visible, "Sorry!"

Blanc looked at her yellow soul heart, "What the!? Why is there a yellow-shaped heart crystal in front of me!?"

Iffy chuckles, "Yeah I saw it when we were running for our lives surprised you just now noticed it. Quick summary, that's the combination of your being aka your soul, you might want to protect it otherwise you might die."

Blanc's right eye twitched in disbelief, "Wait it was out before? How come you didn't mention it!"

Iffy responds, "We were running for our lives, that's why!"

Compa shushes the CPU and the Windwalker as she goes up to Shyren to try to console her, "Hey, sorry about Iffy and Blanc they can be a bit rough, but we wont hurt you."

Shyren hums which prompts Compa to hum in response. Shyren perks up with her face revealed to be that of a fish-like monster, with a hollow eye that is a crescent moon shape and has a glowing orb in it. Her hair covers her other eye while having one antenna coming out her head with a glowing bulb at the end of it. The monster starts singing to them, Si ri, si ri, simi, simi!"

Compa sings with Shyren with a horrible singing voice, "La! La! La! La!"

Blanc's eyes went wide with shock, "What the heck? How do we wind up in these situations."

Iffy just laughs at the whole debacle as Shyren sings even more, "Si! Fa! Si! Fa! So! Fa! So! Mi! Re! Re!"

Compa sings along with nonsensical lyrics, "When I was a young little girl, I went on a wagon with a hat! The Wagon was driven by Cat! Who held a baseball bat!"

Iffy keels over with laughter, "Good grief Compa. At least you're trying."

Blanc could not help but add a few chuckles from the sheer ridiculousness of the situation. She also sees Sans out of the corner of her eye selling tickets made out of toilet paper to other monsters for Shyren and Compa singing, "Of course, he'd do that"

Compa and Shyren finish their duet which disengages the battle, "Can we do it again?" Compa asked

Iffy picks up Compa like a bride, "Let's not get distracted okay?"

Compa blushes red to the point she goes totally quiet. Blanc sighs, "Just happy this whole ordeal is done."

The girls approached a sign that said."The northern room hides a great treasure" However there was a note written by Frisk that says, "Don't believe this sign it is just a wild goose chase, just continue forward through Waterfall."

Iffy cracks a smile, "Well, thanks, Frisk."

"Hey more writing on the walls," Blanc pointed out to them and walked up to examine the writing, "It's a continuation from what we read earlier" The CPU began to read the scripture, "The power has no counter. It was believed that a human could not take a monster's soul. When a monster dies, its soul disappears, and incredible power would be needed to take the soul of a living monster. However, there is one exception, the soul of a species of monsters called boss monsters. A boss monster's soul is strong enough to persist after death, if only for a few moments. A human could absorb this soul, but it has never happened that way. The only known case of a human taking a monster's soul was Frisk inheriting Gerson's soul. Gerson gave his soul so that he could save Frisk, someone he viewed as a granddaughter. Frisk now aged to be an adult and has stopped aging beyond that."

Iffy lets Compa down back on her feet and takes note of the scripture, "So in other words it could happen the other way around as well. Now, I understand why Undyne has beef with Frisk but the way I see it this Gerson gave his life so that Frisk could live."

Blanc stares down at the ground nodding solemnly, "It would seem Frisk is a major part of current events here in this area."

They come across two statues, one of an old turtle monster with a friendly smile, and a monocle in his face, while holding a magnifying glass in his hand. The other grave looks very old and worn down, with the name long faded away. The other monument triggers Chara within Iffy, which in turn makes Iffy shed tears, "This is a child's grave right here, and whoever it is. They are very close to Chara. No wonder why she has been so quiet here." up ahead past the grave was rain and a large open space, the group at this point didn't even question the rain.

Blanc looks down, "These statues are not being well kept, I am going to get them an umbrella."

Iffy sees the ghost of Chara standing beside her her face shrouded by pain and sadness, "A life cut too short." The ghost said.

Blanc returns with the umbrellas and puts one over the decrepit statue and as soon as she does that a music box plays. Compa sheds a few tears as she hugs Iffy, "I wonder who the parents were, they must have been so heartbroken."

The music box causes Chara's ghost to start crying and flee back into the darkness, "Whatever happened down here, I hope we can help make things right, or maybe at least ease their suffering down here." Iffy responded.

Blanc gives the turtle statue the umbrella, and as soon the umbrella is in place a small compartment opens and a CD box comes out with a note, "What the? A CD came out of this statue?"

Iffy takes the note that was with it, "There also a note here that says, to anyone who gets this please have Undyne look at this recording so that she can understand it was my choice. From Gerson."

Compa looked confused, "Huh, I wonder why."

Iffy pockets the disk, "Probably cause Undyne seems to be hard-headed, and might be a difficult one to handle given our current situation."

Blanc sighs, "Things down here seem a bit dire. Is there another save point around here somewhere?"

Iffy raised an eyebrow as she looked at Blanc tilting her head to the side, "For a fan of Undertale, you know very little"

Blanc sighs and scratches her head, "I was early in the game before I got sent here, and again I read the fanfiction."

Iffy stares at Blanc with a neutral expression, "You have been acting weird ever since that echo flower."

Compa goes to grab more umbrellas only to see that there are only two left. Compa pouts as she grabs the two umbrellas, "Uh, there are only two of these left."

Blanc just walks ahead in the rain, "No big deal I like the rain anyway"

Compa and Iffy looked at each other. Compa asked, "Is she okay?"

Iffy shrugs and shakes her head, "I don't know. She dodged my statement about the echo flower. She didn't get mad, or even pissy about it. Instead, she averted away, as if the subject about it was hurting her in some way."

Blanc approaches the middle of the large rainy cavern with a lone echo flower there. Blanc listens to it, "Oh that girl you asked me about all the time? Ohh what I cook for her, let's see it was baked fish with lemon and butter, can't remember the fish." The echo flower just repeats that sentence over and over.

Blanc reached out for the Echo flower but was startled by Iffy calling her name. Blanc regained her composure, but the rain hides the tears she been shedding as Compa and Iffy caught up, "Hey, you alright?"

"I'm... Ok. Let's just... Let's just get going." The CPU said as her emotion was clearly shaken, she speedily walked away from the flower gritting her teeth in both frustration and sadness.

"Blanc," Iffy says her name softly wondering what going on.

Compa looks around, "This place sure is huge, oh look over there! That must be the king's castle!" Compa points directly at the castle that seems so ancient and mysterious in the cavern.

"One step closer" Iffy commented.

Blanc shouts at them over a ledge, "Are you guys coming or what?"

Iffy shouts back, "We are coming! You're just walking too fast!" Iffy grabs Compa's hand, "What's with her? Sorry Compa we will do sight seeing later." Compa lets out a whine before being pulled. They rushed themselves out of the rain and with Blanc help climbed over the ledge to a decent spot with a savepoint and some tents already set up, "Huh, guess we can rest here for awhile, and gather our thoughts on all this."

Blanc says nothing and just heads inside one of the tents, making Compa even more worried, "Blanc, I think she was crying, but why?"

Iffy sighs, "More mysteries and more things adding up, for now, I kind of just want to head for some Z's and work on a plan of action later. We went a long way and gathered some useful information."

Compa nods and follows Iffy inside one of the tents to rest, for the day for they will need their strength for their next encounter with Undyne. Flowey watched them and snickers to himself, "Time for a little division."

Meanwhile in Gamindustri Neptune and friends were on a train on the way to Leanbox. Neptune is pacing around being impatient, Nepgear and sitting on a seat taking a short nap, and Cave is watching Linda the underling, while the underling just whistling. 5pb looked worried for Neptune who blurted out, "Sheesh, why can't just fly there?"

Cave argues, "Because you need to conserve your strength."

Neptune was going to argue but a call from Histoire interrupts all of them. Neptune pulls out one of the phones that IF given her since it was no longer affiliated with the guild. Neptune answers, "Hello, the one and only Neptune speaking!"

5pb chuckles which made Neptune blush and turn away from her. Underling could not help but ask, "Was she always like this?"

"Yes," Cave responded bluntly.

Histoire answers with a worried tone, "Neptune, I found information about the villain we face."

Neptune puts it on speaker, "Well spill the beans already, Histy!"

Histoire sighs, "He is an ancient monster from the first CPU's existence maybe even before. I also got a name, WD Gaster."

Cave notes, "Sounds ominous"

"Back in those days there was such a forbidden technique called soul manipulation, so he may have soul magic so beware," Histoire warned. The book fairy shuffles around, "Oh and it says here he knows of past saves, and other worlds."

Neptune bit her lip and whispered to herself knowing about past saves and resets in her own game, "Oh no, I hope he..." She stops herself, "Yeah... Histy that is kinda scary actually."

"Just be careful ok," Histoire told them before hanging up.

Neptune paused for a minute then smiled trying to reassure everyone including herself, "She is such a worry wart, we got this."

Nepgear snaps awake suddenly from her nap, "Wha! Oh, just another nightmare, been getting a lot of these lately."

5pb holds herself as if trying to keep herself together, "This is getting really scary."

Cave spoke stoically, "We are missing a huge part of this picture. Why is this Gaster doing this?"

Neptune laughs, "What are you guys worried about? He is just a simple bad guy we can beat him just like any other bad guy."

Nepgear taps her fingers together, "I don't know, this guy seems very serious about what he is doing."

5pb holds onto Neptune which made her advert her gaze still not used to this. 5pb says, "I hope everything will be alright. Also got to prepare for the concert here."

Nepgear claps her hands together, "Oh, that reminds me, we have to set up your fan service."

Linda broke her silence with an obnoxious grin, "So you're going to have bikini pictures or even some spicy ones."

5pb went beet red, "How about no!"

"Surprised Neptune didn't say anything about that" Nepgear noted.

Linda chuckles, "can make some good money with that."

Neptune gently breaks free from the hug and snaps at Linda, "Hey, underling would you mind shutting up about this and changing the subject?" The CPU outburst caught everyone except Nepgear off guard.

Linda took note of the tone of Neptune's voice and just decided to go back into silence. Nepgear was utterly confused, "Normally sis would make that kinda joke, or join in along with it."

"Well, 5pb confessed to her a while ago, would that have something to do with it?" Cave asked.

Nepgear chuckles, "That makes sense, Neptune does have her protective side that comes out from time to time, and knowing how shy 5pb is. When she wants to she can be considerate with others feelings. Though I bet sis mind is racing right now."

Neptune chuckles, "Yeah racing like a horse chasing a carrot on a stick at full speed."

Nepgear laughs, which prompts Cave to laugh, and next thing you know everyone but Linda is laughing and having a good old time as they venture forward to Leanbox.

Authors note: I do not have Microsoft Word right now so these chapters may take a bit longer to come out, and making editing a bit more difficult, but I will manage.
