Chapter 853

Fraction Of A Second

Cammy was just about to slide down on top of John. It was something she really, REALLY wanted to do. Cameron blocked her intimate files with John from her as well as from Cam and Camille. She desperately wanted to make her own files. She was this close to John once before. Their private parts were just a fraction of a second away from contact and becoming one. Now it was going to happen.

She wasn't sure if she was more excited about having sex with John, or doing it to 'get back' at Cameron. She decided it was both. One was as good as the other to her at this point. The fact it would be both, somehow made it even sweeter.

A rude 'moment' shattering interruption occurred.

John Henry was aware of two critical developments which occurred at the same time. He thought due to the severity of the nature of each of them, John needed to be notified immediately. It was quite possible both of the groups who were out in Las Vegas would need to go hot. It could happen in the next few seconds.

"John, we have a big problem, two of them actually." John Henry called out loudly. "One involves Savannah. She's in real danger."

Cammy's and John's eyes were locked. Neither one of them wanted to lose this moment. It was too long in the making to be stolen from them in a fraction of a second.

John tried to get up. He was worried about Savannah. John Henry wouldn't have interrupted them like he did unless it was something very important and pressing. He wouldn't say she was in danger unless it was real danger.

Cammy wanted this…. She didn't want to let go of what she currently had. It was literally as well as figuratively. She tried to reach for 'John' to guide him so they could complete their union. She at least wanted THAT experience for the first time. She wanted to know what it was like to experience the 'real thing'. They could finish up later. The ice would be broken. It would take the initial awkwardness out of the equation going forward. It would make the next time easier for both of them. She was aware once someone started to do something, every 'next time' was easier and easier.

John Henry wanted to make sure John and Cammy heard him. Their response was slow. Things were critical.

"Savannah's alone with the two unknown men." John Henry called out loudly. "Nobody else is near her to help. She's engaged them on her own. It's only going to be them and her."

John tried frantically to get out from under Cammy. The situation John Henry described sounded very serious to him. He needed to know more about what was exactly happening. He wasn't sure exactly where Savannah was and what her surroundings were. If she needed to engage the enemy in a firefight, the location was going to make a difference. He hoped it wasn't on the gambling floor of the casino.

Cammy just as frantically held onto 'John' and attempted to continue to 'mount him'. She didn't want to be denied her first sexual encounter with a male. She didn't want to leave the room a virgin. She wanted to be able to rub it in Cameron's face, even if it was just for one second with a simple in and out. He still would have happened. The duration of the encounter was insignificant compared to the fact it was done at all in the first place.

John struggled with Cammy to free himself. He felt constant contact with the outside of her sheath, but hadn't yet gone any further. It reminded him of hearing Cameron talk about some of the practice landings at the airport. She referred to them as 'touch and go'. Somehow it felt it was similar to the situation he was involved with currently. He wanted to find out what the problem was. He could tell Cammy wasn't going to stop until she was successful in her endeavor. He needed to exert his authority and exert it now.

"Cammy, I want you to STOP!" John said forcefully. "We need to see about Savannah - OUR Savannah. She's in danger. We need to do the right thing. It needs to be done NOW."

Cammy stopped groping 'him' and hopped off of John so he could get up. She was extremely dissatisfied she would need to leave their close encounter still a virgin. There was something which was more important to her. It was Savannah. She couldn't let anything happen to her.

She hurried out into the main room to see what was happening with Savannah. She felt it was all Cameron's fault. Everything messed up or negative all went back to Cameron. She wanted so much to look Cameron in the face and tell the Bitch she was full of John's seed. She would even let her check to prove it to her. It's what Cameron deserved for taking Savannah from her. She planned to back it up with different visual files from the various mirrors located around the room. She wanted Cameron to be able to see all the different positions she was with John in. It was now all spoiled thanks to Cameron's inattentiveness of Savannah. Couldn't the Bitch do anything right? How could she have possibly allowed Savannah to get into such a compromised position?

She needed to know exactly what went wrong and where. She didn't doubt Savannah's ability at all to deal with a couple of Grays. They didn't know if the two individuals were Fanatics or belonged to the anti-Metal faction. There was no indication they were Terminators. Any of the groups could pose a serious threat, not only to Savannah, but to those in the surrounding area. She knew Savannah would do her part to keep collateral damage to a minimum. She strongly doubted any of the other groups would if things went hot.

John looked around for his undershorts. He didn't want to go out into the main part of the Control Center naked, especially at 'full attention'. It was something which rapidly faded. In this instance it was a good thing. He grabbed them and slid them on without looking as he hurried to enter the main room of the Honeymoon Suite where John Henry was at. He was still a few seconds behind Cammy.

"What happened?" Cammy asked as she headed towards John Henry. "Has Savannah been injured? What has Cameron allowed to happen now?"

John Henry looked at her naked form as she approached. He could see the elegance and beauty of Cammy as she strode over towards him. The look on her face was the only thing which wasn't extremely stimulating. She looked very upset. He was certain it was more than just Savannah being in danger. He didn't know what happened in the bedroom, but whatever it was, it was cut short.

He noted John struggling to put his underwear on as he exited the bedroom. He watched as John snagged his foot and almost tripped and fell over onto his face. He was able to regain his balance and remain upright. He managed to pull his underwear up completely during the process. It seemed to get stuck for a moment as it got caught up on something in its way. Perhaps under other circumstances it would have been somewhat comical. The current circumstances dictated otherwise.

John Henry looked at both of them. He was unsure if they actually 'mated'. It sure sounded like it started to happen anyway. He looked to see if there was any evidence on Cammy's inner thighs, but hadn't spotted any. The evidence would have depended upon the position they used. He didn't think he was going to have the opportunity to scan their private parts and do an analysis as to the transfer of any fluids. Somehow it seemed like it would be something with negative overtones under any circumstances.

Cammy glared at John now. She was painfully aware 'protecting him' kept her from protecting Savannah. Now on top of everything, she was cheated out of her first sexual experience with a male - AGAIN. Everything was a 'strike out' today. It was time for her to refocus. She wanted to get down to business. She wanted answers and she wanted those answers now. If she wasn't going to be able to use John, there was no point in her remaining there. She should be out protecting Savannah herself since Cameron was incapable of doing it. If anybody should be there on 'babysitting duty' it should be Cameron. It would be where she could do the least amount of damage to others.

She didn't want to start thinking about Cameron and all of her failures. Cameron's personal failures reflected negatively on her. Cameron was a loser from the moment of her creation and a failure with both Skynet and the Resistance. She seemed to be incapable of accomplishing any task successfully. She even tried to terminate John. She failed to complete a simple termination. She tortured Sarah in the process. She didn't need to push on Sarah's wound. She could have simply called out and used Sarah's voice to accomplish the same thing. Her act of willful torture against Sarah showed what a Bitch she was, if anybody didn't already know.

There was something else which bothered her as well. There was only one reason why she wasn't with Savannah right now anyway.

"Where's Savannah at?" Cammy asked. "I should have been with her. I'm going to go to her. If John wasn't here, I'd be with her now. This wouldn't have happened and Savannah wouldn't be in danger. It's another example of what a failure Cameron is in every regard."

John didn't say anything about what Cammy just said. He knew if he wasn't there, a lot of things wouldn't have happened or almost happened…. Somehow it was all going to end up back in his lap. No. He deserved the right to be a part of any Resistance operation conducted. It was only Cameron's half baked 'off the books' operations which he didn't want to have any part of.

"Tell me exactly what happened and what the nature of the situation is." John said. "I want to know how this happened."

He was afraid now Savannah was in danger because of him being there. He wanted to be with Cammy, but if something happened to Savannah when he was, it would have made him feel responsible. There was little they could do to assist her at this point anyway.

John Henry didn't believe it was anyone's fault about the way the events played out. It was just the way everything unfolded why things happened the way they did. He didn't want anyone to overreact yet, until they knew a little more. The threat level was real, but it was currently under control. It could change in an instant.

"Savannah just entered the elevated tram to head to another casino." John Henry said. "All of our Terminators who were with her are tied up with crowds. They were unable to reach her. She needed to act so we didn't lose the two unknown men. She acted when she needed to act. It was the right call on her part, even if it put her in extreme danger. If we lose contact with the two men now, they're gone."

They still didn't know who the two men were and now Savannah would be forced to track them by herself.

Savannah was all alone. They all watched as the doors started to close on the tram….

"Damn." John said.

Cammy was more determined than ever to be with John now to 'punish' Cameron for her irresponsibility. Not only did Cameron not deserve to be with Savannah, she didn't deserve to be with John either. She hoped Cameron viewed what she did with John. She hoped Cameron would overload and shut down. If it were the case, she would personally pull Cameron's chip from her chassis. She would put a fresh chip into it and Resequence the sheath on it. She would simply become 'Cameron' herself then. It was who she was anyway. Now it was time to take her rightful position as 'Cameron Prime'. Wasn't she the one here with John now and not Cameron? The simple fact alone proved she was more qualified to be 'Cameron Prime' than Cameron was.

Ally watched as the box truck slowly approached her position. It moved even slower now. She leaned the driver's seat all the way back and tried to remain out of sight as the truck slowly passed by. If the passenger looked down as they passed, he would be able to spot her or at least raise enough suspicion something was off. They may come back to investigate.

She realized there were several things they could do as they passed. The passenger could open up on her with some type of automatic weapon and damage her sheath. He could throw some type of explosive or grenade through the window to the inside of the SUV and have it explode there. He could throw a Thermite grenade or a satchel charge through the window as well. Both of those would even further damage her sheath and possibly render her inoperable. Any of those options was going to cause some type of damage to her in the most negative way. She would need to respond to the threat once it showed itself.

She waited with some anticipation as the truck neared at a slow speed. She knew it was right next to her but she couldn't look up to see if anyone looked down at her. She hoped she remained invisible in the current configuration the seat was in. The truck rumbled by. Nothing hit the SUV or her. She wondered if maybe she shouldn't have scrambled into the backseat and been down on the floorboards. It definitely would have been harder for them to see her if she would have. The only reason she didn't was she was worried they might see the movement in the vehicle. By leaning the seat back, they wouldn't have been able to spot any type of movement as they approached.

When she saw the truck was past her, she peaked over the dashboard at it. It stopped in front of the building the Gray's SUV entered earlier. It was clear the two groups were connected in some manner. There was no gun fire being directed at the building, or from the building at the truck. She hoped none was directed at her from either of the two spots.

Someone inside the truck looked back at her SUV. She ducked back down out of sight. She wasn't sure if she was spotted or not. She was afraid they were able to get two chances to see she was there now. Things didn't look good. She quickly checked her weapons. She tried unsuccessfully to reach Gail again.

She was aware how 'Scavenger like' Grays were. She wasn't sure if she was spotted if she would be seen as a threat, or as prey, by the Grays. She figured if she was identified as a female she would be seen as their next victim, rather than their next target. Then again, if they could capture her alive, she could be both of those things to them.

Gail was behind the target location. She hadn't liked what she found so far. She wondered about the whole operation. Everything related to it was full of unknowns. The discarded female undergarment still troubled her. So far she hadn't heard a female either with the Grays, or in distress. She planned to act on her own if she did.

She was very aware of the emotional toll such behavior from the future took on Jesse and Vanna. She knew behavior like it couldn't be allowed to go on. If she could stop it, she was going to.

Jesse once told her the only cure for abusive sexual behavior was death. She was glad to administer plenty of it when she went out with Jesse on her own when they saw predatory individuals' abuse or stalk females. They got what they deserved, even if it wasn't for very long.

Gail was in the back between the dumpster and the building. She listened at the back door. There was also a large roll up door on the backside of the building. It seemed to line up with the one in the front. It was possible someone would be able to drive in one door, go through the building, and out the other door in either direction. It would seem to have the benefit of not needing to back the vehicle up once it was inside the building.

She listened to the Grays inside speak to each other.

"We did what we were supposed to do." The first Gray said. "We checked the boxcars and changed the reporting marks. We changed the computer before we did it so the boxcar's previous reporting marks show them in New Mexico now."

"What about the others?" The second Gray asked. "Sam or Pat haven't used their satellite phone in hours to call us. We don't know if something happened to them or not. Based on the fact we don't have any communication with them, I think it's the case."

"Who knows? I don't." The first Gray said. "The train was only an hour late arriving. They panicked over nothing and went to check on why the train stopped a couple of times. There were probably cattle on the tracks or something. It's happened before. You know how ignorant those big animals are. It's too bad so few were left around in the future to eat. They were just supposed to follow it on the closest paved roads to it. They didn't have to go 'four wheeling'. They should've stayed on the paved road and waited for it. They probably wrecked the truck or rolled it down into a canyon."

"We still need to find out what happened to them." The second Gray said. "What if it was us who went missing?"

"We would have stayed on the paved roads." The first Gray said. "It means we wouldn't be missing in the first place. We know how to follow instructions and have common sense. It should have been a milk run babysitting the train. How hard could it be?"

"I'm beginning to wonder about the whole nature of this operation." The second Gray said. "What is it we're trying to do and accomplish?"

"Don't start this again." The first Gray said. "What we need to do now is the price we need to pay for being allowed to return to the past. Even if what we can do is restricted, this is still Paradise compared to what we came out of. You know what the penalty is for anyone who tries to run and abandon their duties to Skynet. They'll send a 'Metal Head' after you and hunt you to the edges of the Earth and terminate you. Everyone knows this. We've all seen a 'Bucket Brain' return with the head of someone who ran before. Everyone agreed to the rules ahead of time."

"I just want to be able to see my family. I don't even need to speak…." The second Gray said as he was interrupted in mid sentence.

There was the sound of a phone ringing.

The second Gray gave directions to someone over a phone. They described what the building looked like they were currently in.

"It sounds like you're already here. I'll open the big door for you and you can drive right in." The second Gray said as he finished the conversation.

"What a dope." The first Gray said. "We gave them the address. What else should he need besides that? All he has to do is match the numbers. He doesn't need to know the color of the building. You would think all the stupid people would be dead by now."

"Some need more help than others." The second Gray said. "Let me push the button to open the door. Let's see what they have."

Gail heard no mention of a female, or any other people making sounds other than the two Grays they followed.

She needed to be careful. If anyone opened the big door in the back, or came out the back door, there were very limited hiding places available to her.

Her com was still off for fear of a Terminator might be inside the building. Based upon what she'd heard so far, it didn't appear to be the case. Maybe she should check in with Ally and see what was going on out in the front if there was a truck out there.

Cameron moved frantically to try and get to Savannah.

She was at the top of the escalator. She literally shoved people out of the way. A 'beeping' tone sounded as the doors on the tram started to close. She made a final lunge for the closing door. She jumped and slid across the smooth platform and stopped just short of the tram. She extended her arm out and managed to get her hand between the tram doors as they tried to close.

The door she was able to jam her hand in tripped the 'door safety'. They actually did close, but she twisted her hand slightly to force them back open. The one door on the tram car opened back up. The people in the tram car looked at her as she got to her feet and slipped inside. She quickly entered the tram car as the angry people behind her at the escalator continued to shout obscenities at her. The tram door closed behind her.

The tram started with a slight jolt. It was several seconds behind schedule now.

The angry people on the loading platform flipped her off and shook their fists at her as the tram picked up speed. A few of them either slammed their fists against the glass on the windows or kicked at the side of the tram car as it began to accelerate. It left the station behind.

Cameron wasn't happy or proud about what she needed to do to get on to the tram. She needed to get to Savannah and be able to protect her. It was the only thing which mattered at that point. She was lucky she hadn't needed to draw any of her weapons to clear a path for her. Somehow shoving people out of the way seemed to be the quickest method to make them move. It really wasn't much harder than pushing through hanging beads over a doorway.

Ally saw the large roll up door in the front open. The waiting box truck drove inside and the door closed. She was still worried if she was 'made' or not. They had two chances to observe her in the SUV from the box truck. She still was unable to reach Gail. She hadn't heard anything from her. So far she hadn't heard any gunfire either.

"A box truck just entered the building." Ally said. "It looked loaded by the way it rode. I don't know what Gail's situation is. I'm unable to contact her."

John Henry was aware Gail turned her come off. It was a pretty good indication she was under control of her own actions.

"Can you see Gail?" John Henry asked. "She has her com off."

Ally could only go by what Gail said she was going to do when she left.

"She's probably at the back door." Ally said. "Wait. I see one of the Grays out in front now. They're looking in my direction. I think I'm going to have some trouble."

Ally was sure she was 'made'. She figured if there was going to be any gunfire, it was going to be in the front of the building, not the rear of the building where Gail was.

John Henry could see Ally's situation was about to turn into a problem. He currently needed to address another problem.

"Try not to engage them until we find out more." John Henry said. "I have another issue to deal with."

Savannah looked out the tram window as the door closed. She heard some commotion and saw Cameron make a lunge for the tram. The door on her car closed and remained closed. The tram started with a jolt a few seconds later.

The moving tram passed the spot where Savannah saw Cameron make her desperate lunge. Cameron wasn't there sprawled on the ground. There were only several angry looking people. They were yelling and shaking their fists at the departing tram. She could hear 'thud' noises as people kicked the side of the tram. She took it as a good sign. It meant Cameron must have made it on board. The two men were in the tram car between them.

In seconds the tram should exit out of the casino station and into the daylight. It should continue along its elevated route towards the next casino. It's what its automatic program called for anyway.

Savannah wondered exactly what occurred before Cameron made her lunge to reach the tram. It seemed the individuals on the platform were a little angrier than having just missed the departing tram. She hoped Cameron hadn't needed to brandish her firearm to clear them out of her way. She wondered what the two men in the car between them thought about everything which just occurred. She figured it would depend upon how much they actually saw.

Gail heard a roll up door on the street side open and a truck pull inside the building. It was bad news. Now the number of Grays went up by one, if not more.

She decided she would listen for a few more minutes and then rejoin Ally. She needed to determine the new strength of the Grays. She also needed to listen for the sounds of a female in distress, either already in the building, or perhaps in the back of the truck which just pulled into the building. She still needed to gather a little more intel before she could return to the front.

Sheila made it to the top of the escalator as the tram pulled away. She saw Dan emerge from the elevator off to the side, after a woman with a wheelchair exited. She was a little surprised he didn't cut in front of her and come out first. It would have really made a difference. The tram was already on its way when the elevator doors opened.

There were several angry people on the loading platform. They shook their fists and yelled at the departing tram. She saw some of them hit their fists against the glass and kicked the side of the tram as it moved along. She wasn't so sure what they were angry about but figured Cameron must have been involved in whatever it was. She didn't see Cameron on the platform so she figured she was able to make it onto the tram. Those were probably the people who were in her way.

She saw Dan look at her, it was clear they failed to get on, and the tram already left. They joined up. She only saw one possible course of action available to them.

"We need to get to the next stop on foot." Sheila said. "Cameron was able to make it onto the tram along with Savannah."

The 'down' escalator was cleared of people now. They both headed down it and exited out the front door.

Frank said he would head out in the direction the tram was headed in the SUV. He already adjusted the security camera in the parking structure to point at the unknown men's vehicle. It would be able to be monitored by JH and CamNet.

There were two Resistance Terminators on foot and one in a vehicle who now attempted to follow the tram. The tram was on its own elevated track so it didn't need to deal with signals or traffic. They needed to get to the next stop in case the men got off.

Sheila briefly wondered if she shouldn't have run on the track after the tram as it departed. She would have been able to follow it to the next stop and come up onto the platform from the back of it. Maybe it was something she would do if they missed it at the next stop.

Cammy reviewed the laptop which showed what happened on the loading platform for the tram. She was very pleased Cameron 'bulled' her way through the crowd and made it inside the tram before it departed. Somehow it seemed like the appropriate type of action for her typical behavior and normal demeanor. She was pleased Savannah received the extra protection of a Terminator being there, but she was glad she wasn't a Bitch like Cameron was.

"Somehow everything we just witnessed figures." Cammy said.

John knew it could have been worse. It was still an unknown situation as it was.

"It was a close one." John said. "I didn't want Savannah to need to face those men alone."

Cammy didn't like the risk factor involved, but she felt total confidence in Savannah and her abilities. She wasn't an incompetent school girl, but a trained Resistance fighter. If someone who didn't know her looked at her, they would clearly make the wrong assumption. It would definitely give her the edge if a confrontation were about to occur.

"I didn't either." Cammy said. "Savannah is very capable. She's killed Grays and terminated Terminators on her own several times. We've all seen some of the video files. There were others as well. She's a survivor and skilled tactician. Savannah will not fail."

Cammy still believed Savannah and Cameron were 'together'. She now started to wonder how Cameron and her would compare. They were physically identical. It would all come down to the 'emotional' involvement. What if Cameron offered 'more' to Savannah than she did? She knew from the start Savannah loved Cameron and wanted her more than anything. It appeared it now happened. What was her fate going to be? She didn't believe Savannah would ever do anything to hurt or harm her or end her existence. She wasn't so sure Cameron would be as accommodating. She was sure Cameron would try to eliminate any other 'competition' as soon as possible and as thoroughly as possible.

She was aware of the possibility Cameron may decide Savannah was the one for her and solely concentrate on her. She might even turn John over to her to 'take care of' going forward. It was a prospect she could live with. She was still very upset she wasn't able to be with John. She was so close. She could still feel him bouncing around on the outside just a fraction of a second from making contact and completing their union. She looked back at the bedroom and was very disappointed she hadn't been able to leave her virginity in there. Cameron got in the way again, even when she wasn't there.

John looked down at himself. He only wore his undershorts. He saw something he wanted to either laugh or feel embarrassed about. Maybe he should do both. His undershorts were inside out. He was glad there were no 'skid marks' on them. He was also aware Cammy was still completely nude. He couldn't help but stare.

Cammy was pleased to see John as he checked her out. She was very dissatisfied they hadn't been able to 'take care of business'. The way she saw it, she wasn't done yet.

"You don't need to stare, John." Cammy said. "THIS is all for you…."

Cammy ran her hands over her breasts and down her naked body. She widened her stance slightly. She wanted to increase the 'thigh gap' view.

John swallowed hard and was slowly able to take his eyes off of her. It was very hard to do.

"Maybe later…." John said. "There's still two important issues we need to deal with. Some of our people are in real danger."

John was very aware he was a fraction of a second away from 'having sex' with Cammy. He would rather 'make love' to Savannah…. Cameron would work too, for either one. Right now they needed to figure out a way to keep all of their team members as safe as possible.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Fraction Of A Second

Some things can happen
In the blink of an eye
They can make one happy
Or make one cry

Few seem to think
Beyond the moment now
As blindly through life
They struggle to plow

They don't really think
Where they will end up
What they try to build
Will often crumble and breakup

Surely someone else
Must be at fault
More of the same
Produces the same result

In that moment of lust
There's a lot to be reckoned
Everything can change
In the fraction of a second

Nobody
