Chapter 861

Closed Her Hand

Savannah left the main casino floor.

The man they currently surveilled looked around. They weren't sure if he checked to see where Savannah went or not. He did go over to the area where he last saw her. He looked around one final time and headed for the side door. It was the location where Savannah moved to. She wanted to stay ahead of him.

John Henry sent out the advisory because he knew Savannah couldn't see where the man was at currently. It was his job to keep her informed as to the man's location so she didn't need to be obvious and look around for him.

"The man has started to move in the direction where you're at, Savannah." John Henry said. "He doesn't appear to be in too big of a hurry. He keeps checking behind him."

Savannah checked her weapons one more time. She was prepared to use either one. Originally she was going to use her Taser. She decided if he approached her, she was going to kill him instead. He made her feel very uneasy. There was just something about him which didn't sit well with her. Maybe it was the way he looked around at people. Maybe it was the way he looked at her. She wanted to know his position regardless of the direction she was facing.

"I want to seem busy and occupied." Savannah said. "Keep me posted in feet and direction as to where he is at from my position with whatever direction I'm facing."

Savannah moved past the side door and started to play on some slot machines. They were located there by the door. There were only a few of them. She remembered she read somewhere how the machines by the doors and the windows were set up to pay off more often than the ones on the main gambling room floor. The theory was people on the outside could see someone winning. They would want to come inside and win as well. She didn't think it was the case anymore. If someone was outside of the door of a casino, they were going to come in regardless of anything. Maybe in some of the older establishments it might have been valid if they were located on a city street. With the new Mega Resort Casinos, people were going to a specific destination.

John Henry wanted Savannah to know the man was on the move towards her.

"He's left the casino area." John Henry said.

Savannah didn't turn to see the man. She waited a moment so a direction could be established.

"Where is he now?" Savannah asked.

She relied on John Henry to tell her where he was at specifically.

"He's one hundred and three feet to your left side, near the door." John Henry said. "He looks impatient. He hasn't looked in your direction."

Savannah knew it would only take a matter of seconds for someone to cover the distance if they ran. She waited a few more moments to see if he did. She was left with the feeling he did look towards her.

"Is he looking in my direction yet?" Savannah asked.

Savannah reached down and touched her Glock and Taser again.

"He did, but not at you." John Henry said. "He seems to look in every direction. I don't think he specifically spotted you. It appears he's upset his ride hasn't arrived yet."

Savannah knew Cameron was close by. She didn't know how close.

"Where's Cameron at?" Savannah asked.

John Henry carefully tracked everyone.

"She's on the other side of him. She's still in the casino." John Henry said. "She can reach you very quickly. She can reach him even quicker. She's right by the entrance from the area you're currently in."

She wanted to know how much longer she was going to have to face the slot machine. It was an electronic one so she actually hadn't needed to put any money into it. She was pretty sure CamNet was the one who controlled it. So far it hadn't paid anything. She thought it was by design because she stated earlier she didn't want to fool with the money for the payout. She also didn't want anyone to look over when the machine would make noise as it paid off. It was all unnecessary attention she hoped to avoid.

"What's the ETA of his ride?" Savannah asked.

John Henry currently watched the traffic cams on the main boulevard. He was a little concerned.

"It should have been in two minutes." John Henry said.

Savannah picked up on John Henry's drift. She became a little alarmed.

"Is there a problem?" Savannah asked.

John Henry could only speculate as to what the driver of the sedan was about to do.

"I don't know yet." John Henry said. "The blue sedan has fallen behind several traffic lights from Frank and Dan. There's no reason we can determine as to why."

Savannah knew Sheila was behind him. She was concerned for her safety. More than likely she would close up on the man if he purposely continued to fall behind at signals.

"What about Sheila?" Savannah asked.

John Henry could see she was only about a minute and a half behind him.

"She's closing on him." John Henry said. "If the man only continues to slow, she should arrive around the time he departs. She'll give Cameron and you a ride."

Savannah didn't want to take any chances. Everything the two men did was extremely overly cautious. It really made her wonder if there was something happening in the background, or right in front of them they couldn't see. Sometimes something was so obvious, and right out in front of everyone, they didn't see it was actually what they were looking for. She remembered there was some short story about it by some famous author.

"Let me know if the man looks at me, or moves in my direction." Savannah said. "I might have to 'Zap' him. I'll 'pop' him if I need to. Make sure Sheila watches behind her as well. As far as we know the man may have started this type of driving behavior to see if he had a tail. He could spot who closed up on him, and then who didn't pass him but stayed behind him."

John and John Henry looked at each other in the casino Command Center. They both thought what Savannah just said about the man checking for a tail made sense. They didn't want Sheila to get caught up in it either.

John Henry was very dissatisfied with the way things played out. The only operation they actually seemed to have control of was the one with Cammy and Gail. At their location he didn't know a lot of what happened in detail. They still needed to be concerned about additional Grays or a Terminator showing up unannounced. He thought they should finish up and clear out. He was a little concerned John seemed to give his consent for some 'enhanced interrogation', after the fact. With the mention of the abuse of a 'redhead' female in the future, he understood. Even as illogical as it was, he also agreed. Termination was insufficient punishment for the perpetrator.

Cameron was at an electronic poker game now. She was still in the main casino. She commanded a good view of the side door and the waiting man. Savannah was just out of her view. John Henry kept her apprised as to Savannah's location.

She still wanted to terminate him because he moved closer to Savannah earlier. Now he was only a short distance away.

John was able to view Cameron through the security cameras. She looked very uneasy to him as she sat at the machine she played at.

"Cameron, relax." John said. "We know the man's waiting for his ride. I don't think he's looking for some type of altercation before he goes."

John's advice actually irritated her. She didn't need to be told how to do her job. Who did John think took the fight to the enemy the majority of the time? It was her. She knew what to do and when to act. If she felt some type of concern, she felt it was a legitimate concern. What did he know anyway?

"It's easy for you to say." Cameron said. "You're not here."

John could tell he agitated her. It wasn't his intent. He wanted to soften his response. He believed his statement went a little bit deeper than Cameron was able to read it.

"I'm not there, but two people I care about and LOVE are." John said. "I think I have a legitimate concern to be worried."

Cameron smiled. She knew John wasn't trying to pick a fight. She wasn't trying to pick one either. She was very pleased he indicated he loved Savannah and her.

"OK, John." Cameron said. "We're all one big happy family."

John agreed with her, but didn't want to take it too far.

"Yes." John said.

Cameron sent a reminder back. She wanted John to remember his destiny and what awaited him going forward.

"The FOUR of us…." Cameron said.

John looked at John Henry when Cameron made her statement.

John Henry shook his head from side to side. He knew how these discussions usually played out. Even if the intentions were good, it wasn't usually what the final result was. He silently reminded John not to engage her. She was already agitated and made her point about what she wanted for the future. None of it was going to change one way or the other as far as she was concerned. There was no need to comment on it further.

Cameron waited for John to respond back but he didn't. John was very reluctant to accept the 'Natural Order' even though he, well, Future John, was the one who sent her back to make sure it happened. She often wondered why the concept was so hard for him to grasp. Sometimes she wondered if he suffered from a learning disability. She wasn't sure what else she could attribute it to if something else was already predetermined. She didn't think reality could be denied by any logical or sane individual.

She saw the man move a little closer to Savannah, even though he didn't look at her. He looked very impatient and irritated. He checked his watch several times and looked outside to see where his ride was at.

Cameron looked forward to when she could terminate the man. She hoped it was soon. She wanted to slowly choke the life out of him so she could watch him terminate. She wanted him to know who killed him. In fact, she thought she would do it multiple times and stop right before his termination so she could do it again and again. She hoped she didn't start to taunt the man or laugh at him as she did it. She might not be too much different than the way Sheila acted at times if she did. She still believed everyone Sheila 'punished' deserved it. They were involved in what they did by their own choice. It was their own actions which determined their fate. It was just that simple.

Sheila closed up on the blue sedan with the Escalade. On another mission they 'borrowed' an Escalade before. She liked everything about it. She thought Savannah would like a little luxury for once. Most of what they used was very basic. They didn't go for anything luxurious because they didn't hang on to things for very long.

She found the reports of the blue sedan somewhat disturbing. Based upon all accounts, she was closing up the distance between them very quickly. It didn't take her long to get a visual on him. He was actually closer than she anticipated. She knew he was really lollygagging. It was clearly done on purpose.

She was now two signals in back of the blue sedan. He suddenly hung a right hand turn. It appeared he just took evasive action. She was aware he fell back a few signals. She now wondered if he picked her up as a threat. She didn't see how since she originally started out three minutes after he did. The man never saw her vehicle before. It should look like any other vehicle around him. She didn't believe it was anything she did which triggered his wild maneuver.

"He's running." Sheila said. "The blue sedan just took off."

John found the man's behavior rather confusing. They already knew where he was going, and so did he. The other man who waited for him was clearly upset his ride hadn't come yet. It was an unnecessary maneuver which would only create a further delay.

"We know where he's headed." John said. "It won't matter too much which route he takes in the end."

Sheila, like all Terminators, behaved somewhat like a cat. When something moved in front of them, their instinct was to catch it. Normally when a cat caught something, they killed it. They would kill it, even if they weren't going to consume it. It was her instinct now and what she wanted to do. She wanted to catch and kill the man.

"Do we know anything for sure?" Sheila asked. "I want to take him down. I'm fed up with these whackers. How long are we going to let this charade continue? We're the ones being led all over the place."

Everything about the two men bothered her. She didn't like how they tried repeated attempts to elude her and the other Terminators. She looked forward to when she could terminate one or both of the men. She hoped it was sooner rather than later. She hoped she was alone with him when she would terminate him. She decided she would rip his limbs from his body, one by one, along with anything else which protruded from it. She figured she would start out small and work up from there.

Moments ago:

Frank and Dan watched the man drop back one more signal. It was decided Dan would acquire additional transportation to better be able to track the man in the blue car. He proved to be very elusive. Both Dan and Frank hoped they would get the opportunity to terminate both of the men.

Dan looked back. He was ready to make a move. When a crowd of people crossed the street a signal behind them, Dan exited the vehicle. He didn't want to be spotted getting out of the vehicle. The group of people gave him good cover.

Frank watched his rear view mirror. He was sure the man was too far behind to be able to view what just happened.

"Dan is on foot." Frank said. "He is going to acquire some additional transportation."

John didn't really like dividing his forces. He liked it even less when they divided themselves.

"We need to remember, everything each of these groups does seems to separate us even further from each other." John said. "Everyone needs to keep it in mind."

Dan moved behind a store front wall and went to look back around the corner.

"We think the man's going to run." Dan said. "I want to be ready."

Frank watched what Dan said happen in his rear view mirror. The unknown man took off down a side street.

"He just hung a right." Frank said. "He's gone.'

John didn't want them to worry. He didn't think it was a problem yet. They knew he needed to come and retrieve the other man who clearly waited for him. There was still one Terminator in back of him as well.

"Sheila is behind him." John said.

John Henry gave Frank instructions where to go and wait. He was to acquire new transportation as well. It was possible the man made his vehicle and it's why he bolted.

"What about Cameron and Savannah?" Frank asked.

John felt everything was under control. He needed everyone to take a step back and let things play out.

"Sheila will pick them up." John said. "We know what his destination is."

Dan was headed for a sports car parked nearby when he saw something which would be better for the chase. It was a motorcycle.

He broke the lock on the motorbike and took off. He was going to head the blue sedan off. John Henry would feed him directions. He liked the horsepower to weight ratio the motorcycle offered. He was also aware of Frank's earlier concern when he needed to make time and traffic. A motorcycle would do much better on a sidewalk than a vehicle would, especially if pedestrians were present. It would be easier to maneuver around them at high speed.

Cammy and Gail attempted to obtain any other information the Grays might possess. It wasn't much. At this point, Cammy and Gail didn't care. There was a reckoning coming and they were both long overdue to administer it.

Cammy didn't like what was done to the female they tied to the 'comfort bunk'. She didn't like what was done to her and how it ended. The Resistance part of the operation was over.

"We are almost done here." Cammy said. "I'll take over for the next phase. I would like you to make sure no one shows up in the front or the back and continue to check it until I'm done here."

Gail kept a watch out the front and the back as Cammy 'worked'. She didn't participate in any of the actual 'work'. Cammy wanted to take full responsibility for what occurred if it ever came up or was an issue. She understood Cammy actually wanted to protect her in case Savannah found out. She would participate in the finale though. It was because of what was done to the 'redhead' in the future. After a short time she could see Cammy was just about finished with everything.

"It's time for dessert." Gail said.

Cammy looked up and smiled.

"Payback time…." Cammy said.

Cammy returned with a dirty dish pan of water. She dumped half on each Gray. She didn't want them passed out for the final part.

Both Grays came around slowly. It looked like one was about to drift off into oblivion again. She slapped his face several times to get his attention.

"No, no, no, no." Cammy said. "Don't you pass out on me yet, you filthy Gray."

Gail knew they needed to be awake for the finale to truly appreciate it.

"We're not done yet." Gail said.

Cammy really liked the plan they came up with. There was a certain amount of poetic justice to it. She could understand Sheila's actions a little better when the interrogations got personal. She especially liked the results when she closed her hand in specific areas.

Ally followed the box truck from a great distance. She kept as far away from it as she could see it with her extended Terminator vision. She knew they checked for a tail twice before. Luckily she was over a couple of streets as she paralleled them when they did.

She looked around and there was nothing but sand and rocks with a few hills around them. She really wondered where they were going. She reviewed a file of a satellite map when she noticed the distance between them started to close up some. She quickly checked her speed. It wasn't her. Now there was a new worry.

"The box truck is slowing." Ally said. "I don't think I want to catch up with it. I can't stop or turn off either."

John looked at an image of a satellite map where Ally was at. He knew the truck was in front of her, but it wasn't too much further in front of her. He didn't like the look of the land. There was nothing visible around the area as far as something man made, other than the road.

"I want you to fall back immediately, Ally." John said.

Ally dropped back. She didn't see where they could possibly be headed.

"What are their turnoff options?" Ally asked.

John Henry looked at the satellite map as well. There were no paved roads around where they were at, other than the one they were on. He could see paved roads weren't the only roads in the vicinity.

"There is a dirt road which runs in both directions across your route." John Henry said.

John wanted to make sure Ally wasn't being set up for a hit.

"Is there anyone else behind you?" John asked.

Ally quickly checked behind her again. It was something she monitored once they were on the road where there were no other roads. She didn't want to pick up a tail, when she was tailing someone else.

"No." Ally said. "They may have a remote camera set up somewhere. They might be headed for a specific destination as well."

John didn't want to chance it. His first thought was there might be a mine of some type where the box truck was headed. The terrain didn't seem to be suited for it. He was aware not all mines needed to be in a mountain. They could literally be anywhere. Some of them started with a shaft and went straight down. He quickly verified where the drones they sent were at.

"I want you to stop." John said. "The drones will be there in a few minutes."

John Henry looked at the images of the satellite map as well. The box truck was literally in the middle of nowhere. He knew the drones were close. He checked on their ETA.

"Based on their current speed, the drones will be there in six minutes." John Henry said. "The box truck is in a wide open expanse. There's nowhere for them to go unless they go underground. Even if they do go underground, we know the approximate area. We should be able to track the tire marks. I can't imagine there are too many fresh ones in the area. If there are, the operation may be bigger than we think."

Ally didn't think it would look good for her to just stop and remain where she was at. She was sure it would set her up as a target.

"They're turning to the right." Ally said. "I think I should keep going and go past their location. If I do, it won't look like I stopped because they turned, if they have eyes on me."

John wasn't sure it was the right choice. He didn't want to lose the truck.

"I don't know." John said. "You're the one who's there."

Ally started out again on her own intuition. She was the one on the ground and the way she read the situation, it indicated to her she should keep moving. Stopped or sitting, she was a target.

"I do." Ally said. "What if THEY have a drone up?"

John Henry monitored everything in the vicinity. He quickly double checked for any radar signatures in the area. The only things in the vicinity were their drones.

"I haven't detected any." John Henry said.

Ally thought it was a two way street. At least it could be.

"Can they detect ours?" Ally asked.

John Henry didn't think so. CamNet and his server took control of all of the radar, including weather radar earlier.

"They could only detect ours if they were to set up some type of local radar on their own." John Henry said. "We're sending out jamming frequencies which should block anything they could do."

John quickly understood her concern.

"Your point is well taken." John said. "There could always be something we don't know about."

Ally wanted to wait for the drone reinforcements.

"I'll remain at the same speed and pass where they turned." Ally said. "Once I have drone support, and a clear picture of what's happening around me, I'll determine my next move."

Ally was sure if she stopped she would make herself a target. She could always come back later and reacquire the box truck. There hadn't appeared to be too many places around there where something as big as the box truck could be concealed. The drones should be able to find it if nothing else. It was the most likely scenario unless the box truck was to disappear inside of a mine entrance. It was a very real possibility. It would also open up an entirely new target scenario. She knew it wouldn't take Cameron long to get involved if there was a chance there was some version of Skynet located there. She didn't have any doubt Savannah would accompany her.

Allison rushed to Jesse's room. She was worried because Riley was worried. She could see how Riley's worry also worried Vanna. She was caught up in the moment with her own anxiety. She opened the door without thinking and went in.

"Vanna needs you to…." Allison started and stopped.

Jesse and her mother were 'busy'. They were very 'busy'.

Allison couldn't help but notice how much they enjoyed each other.

"I'm sorry." Allison said.

Allison turned to leave.

Claire lifted her head away from Jesse.

"Wait." Claire said. "What's wrong?"

Claire sat up and pulled the sheet up to cover herself. Jesse made no attempt to cover herself. She got up and stood naked next to Claire.

"Riley's having a problem of some kind." Allison said as she peeked back over her shoulder. "Vanna went to help. I'm going there now. She wanted me to tell you. I'm sorry I intruded on your private time."

As soon as she saw her mother was 'decent' with the sheet, she turned around and faced them. Allison saw Jesse was naked. She thought she really looked 'naked' without her nipple rings. She couldn't help but stare at Jesse and think she would probably be with her later on when Vanna was with her mother. Jesse's larger breast size excited her. The difference seemed much more noticeable on her than it did on Vanna, but she was still smaller overall. She thought it would be intriguing if Jesse could actually exceed Vanna in size. It seemed like a thought she should keep to herself, especially with her mother right there.

Claire let the sheet fall away and started to look for her clothes. Jesse did the same thing. Allison didn't like to 'see' her mother naked, but she did see what a pretty woman she was, even after three children. Her figure was shapely and attractive. She was fit and trim. Her face was beautiful. There was no droop or sag to any part of her body. Everything on both the top and the bottom was high and tight. It was actually quite beautiful. She thought her mother's body was better than hers. She wanted to blame it on the future but couldn't. She saw Future Allison and Young Allison, she knew it was the way she was supposed to look.

The bottom line was, she found her mother's body more attractive than hers. She was sure the parts she couldn't see were probably just as appealing to everyone else. It seemed as if someone were given the choice between her and her mother, they would choose her mother first. She asked Holly about it a few times. Holly was very reluctant to divulge anything private. She believed personal things should remain personal until someone didn't want them to be on their own.

"Mom, you know where Holly's room is at, right?" Allison asked.

Claire actually 'used' the room before. She'd been to a lot of rooms around the base whenever she visited. It seemed no sooner than when she left one room, there was someone there to invite her into another room. She was more than happy to 'check out' each room.

"Yes." Claire said. "I know where it is."

Allison wanted to have a 'medical team' on standby.

"Please go there and get the Metal girls." Allison said. "They might be 'busy'. Have them go to the infirmary. They might need to plug in to look Riley over."

Claire continued to put her clothes on. She felt she needed to say something to Allison.

"I'm sorry about things, Allison. I…." Claire started.

Allison didn't want to hear it. They were all young women with the same needs and desires.

"Mom, stop." Allison interrupted. "It's no big deal. We all do it with the same people. We're all one big happy family. There's a lot of love to share, and everybody deserves to share it. You never need to apologize for sharing your love with anyone."

Claire understood what Allison meant. It was the way she felt too. She figured before they returned to Palmdale she would be with Vanna and Allison would be with Jesse. There was plenty of love to share for everyone. They were all one big happy family.

Jesse slipped on a pair of pants and grabbed a shirt, which she held in her hand and headed out topless.

"I still want to try one of those, 'Mother - Daughter' things…." Jesse said as she passed Allison.

It was clear her mother heard what was said as well.

Allison looked at her mother who smiled at her and shrugged her shoulders. She was left with the distinct feeling Jesse must have already discussed it with her mother. She looked at her mother one more time and quickly followed Jesse.

Claire watched them go and hurried out of the room. She was up for the 'Mother - Daughter' thing. She didn't see what it could hurt. Besides, her daughters were Summer and Young Allison. Allison was just one of the girls to her. Allison was the same age as her almost anyway. Her daughters were younger, even if they were growing fast.

Vanna knocked and entered Riley's room.

"Where's Derek?" Vanna asked.

Riley felt responsible.

"He's out with Kyle and Sarah. I told him to go." Riley said. "Sarah wanted to pick out some baby clothes for Precious. She is her niece."

Vanna wanted to find out what the problem was. She didn't think Riley would have called unless there was a real problem.

"Tell me what happened." Vanna said.

Riley reached up and touched her breasts.

"I'm not lactating much. It's like they don't work." Riley said. "I can see yours are."

Vanna looked down at the front of her shirt. There were two small wet spots. It happened more and more, especially after what she did when she shared with Allison.

Vanna went to Precious and looked at her. She was thrilled at the prospect she might be able to nurse Precious. She wanted to make sure Riley expended all other options first.

"Did you try the formula?" Vanna asked.

Riley frowned a little.

"She doesn't like it." Riley said. "I want her to have everything natural. Natural is healthier and better for the baby. It's the way it's supposed to be."

It was common in the future to have a female who could lactate nurse other women's babies who needed it. It was what they all grew up with. It seemed 'normal' to all of them. There was no formula. If there would have been, it might have been contaminated. Skynet probably would have found a way to poison it so I could kill all the infants who were even able to be born.

"Let me clean up real fast." Vanna said as she headed into the bathroom. "Allison and Jesse are coming as well as the Metal girls. They can 'plug in' to the medical database at the infirmary and check you out."

Jesse and Allison arrived. Riley filled them in.

Jesse still held her shirt in her hand. It wasn't an oversight on her part. She noticed Riley 'check her out'.

Vanna returned without her top on.

Riley couldn't help but look on with some awe at the larger breasts both Vanna and Jesse now exhibited. She was aware her breasts hadn't increased in size much, if at all. They were larger to start out with than either Vanna or Jesse, but they were still the same size during and after her pregnancy. It's what led her to believe they didn't work as they should. She couldn't help but say something about how beautiful they both looked.

"Wow, you both have really bulked up." Riley said. "It's quite impressive."

Vanna wanted to do everything the same way Riley did. She didn't want to cause some type of trauma or discomfort for the infant.

"Help me do exactly what you do." Vanna said. "I want it to be the same experience for Precious."

Vanna sat in Riley's chair.

Allison watched as Riley moved Precious into Vanna's arms and she started to nurse. The look of contentment and satisfaction on Vanna's face said it all. Vanna wanted to be a mother.

Vanna looked up at Allison with tears in her eyes.

"Isn't this beautiful?" Vanna asked. "I can help someone. My body can actually help someone."

Allison absentmindedly touched her abdomen.

"Yes." Allison said. "It is beautiful."

Jesse and Riley watched but said nothing. They knew the two long time lovers were sharing a painful private moment. They both were unable to carry a pregnancy to term.

"Let's get you to the infirmary." Jesse said to Riley and took her away.

Riley looked back once at how happy Vanna looked. She felt overwhelmed in her efforts to take care of Precious. There were times when everything seemed to stack up on her. She felt so lost and out of control at times. Vanna looked like a natural. Allison was there to support her. She knew Precious was in good hands.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

My Kind Of Story

It's the story
Of a heart turned cold
A cold cold heart
The painful story it's told

The cold cold heart
Turns from frozen ice
To cold cold stone
They won't even think twice

A stone cold heart
Is empty, lonely and sad
What is destroyed
Can never again be had

The cold stone heart
Will wither and die
It becomes a dead heart
A story we can all apply

The stone cold dead heart
Dies extremely gory
Everyone knows it's
My kind of story

Nobody
