Chapter 869

Hushed Voices

Gail wanted to join up with Savannah as soon as possible.

Cammy was with Gail. She hoped to be able to return to the Honeymoon Suite at the casino hotel. She wanted to be with John. She wanted to finish up what they started. She wanted to rub it in Cameron's face.

John asked them to check out the warehouse Cameron, Savannah, and Sheila were in earlier. He hoped to be able to have Cammy return to the casino hotel after they completed the task. He wanted to complete their 'union' in the Honeymoon Suite.

He knew he was a little hesitant earlier, even if he wanted things to happen. He made up his mind now. If Cammy came back, or any of the Metal girls, he was ready to go all the way and knock one off.

CamNet contacted the Metal girls directly and told them they needed to back up Savannah and Cameron, along with the rest of the team. They headed to the location as fast as they could get there safely. They were advised of a new situation which developed as they neared the area.

Cammy and Gail received word of the new threat. It may or may not be Skynet related. They drove half a block away from the position the drone showed the two figures were at. The Metal girls exited the SUV and were on foot now as they tried to intercept the figures before they made it to Dan's position.

Gail was very displeased with the new development and threat to Savannah. The unknown men in the 'day care center' were bad enough. Now there was a new added layer of danger. They didn't have a good idea as to exactly what was going on. She checked the surrounding area as they advanced towards the two targets the drone identified.

"We need to watch around us as well." Gail whispered. "We might be in the middle of something bigger."

Savannah made them aware of all the possible groups which might be in play. It was more than a few. They were also alerted to the fact the structure appeared dark on all sides. There was no indication anyone was in it. It raised the possibility there may be an escape tunnel, and the occupants all fled earlier. It could be related to an incident after another unidentified individual from inside, went out to a shed earlier near Dan's position. It was possible he was spotted, even if it was highly doubtful. They needed to think of all the variables.

Cammy thought about their earlier activity at the location where they took down the two Grays and were able to capture the HK Track. She felt the two Grays at the location received what they deserved based upon their past actions as well as their current ones.

"We did ruffle some feathers earlier." Cammy whispered.

Gail wanted to eliminate any threat to Savannah. She was still upset by what one of the individuals indicated about a 'redhead' he abused in the future. He paid a stiff price for his transgression.

"I want to ruffle some more." Gail whispered. "I want to pluck them out."

The Metal girls continued to move silently towards the location. They proceeded with caution as they used several different vision spectrums to search for any hidden targets. They didn't want to get led into an ambush.

Cammy spotted something up ahead. She reached out and touched Gail. She pointed ahead and off to the side of where they were at.

"I saw movement next to the white house." Cammy whispered.

Gail looked in the direction Cammy pointed. She acquired the target as well. The target disappeared from direct view.

"I see them." Gail whispered. "It appears they're attempting to hide. Maybe there's a secret entrance which will lead to the target building."

Cammy and Gail spread out and advanced on the target. They wanted to know where the two individuals went. They continue to advance on the last known position. They could soon hear hushed voices. They closed in for the kill. They each carried their suppressed M4 up and ready to cough out death. They didn't know who they were about to face, but it didn't really matter. The unidentified individuals were in the target zone, and a threat to the rest of the team.

They needed to thoroughly search the surrounding area as they moved forward. They wanted to make sure they weren't being led where someone wanted to lead them. There was a lot they still didn't know. They didn't know one thing.

If someone wanted to play with matches, they were about to find out what it was like to get burnt.

Dan moved away from his previous position as soon as he lost sight of the two figures he spotted moving. He wasn't sure if he was targeted or not. He wasn't going to stick around to find out. If he could move away from the location before they acted, they wouldn't be able to get a clean shot at him.

Suddenly there was a figure right in front of him.

"Hey, big guy…." Sheila whispered.

Dan moved back a little in surprise.

"I didn't see you." Dan whispered back.

Sheila smiled at him. It pleased her because she was able to sneak up on him. She knew he was a little distracted attempting to keep track of the two individuals. She used it to her advantage.

"It was the whole point." Sheila whispered. "I figured if you didn't see me, the enemy wouldn't see me either. I was going to pay them a visit next. It wouldn't have been quite as friendly of a visit. I like to do things my way."

Dan was reminded how good the female infiltration units were. It wasn't all fun and games with them, even if it seemed like it. He wanted to reacquire the two targets he lost sight of. He wasn't certain they were trying to evade him or not. Nonetheless, they moved out of his view.

"I lost them." Dan whispered.

Sheila didn't think it would be a problem. A couple of human targets would be easy to track. Wait. What if they weren't human targets?

"There are two of us now." Sheila whispered. "They can't be far. Was there any indication they might be Terminators?"

Dan was ready to go. He didn't think so. He didn't know for sure.

"I was unable to make a determination." Dan whispered. "Let's go find them. We will know soon enough what they are."

Sheila was already on the move. She was ready to find them.

She needed to deal with a lot of 'cat and mouse' activity today. She was ready for some action. Now there was some more 'cat and mouse' activity near them. She was ready to show her fangs and use her claws.

Whatever the two men were, it was a distraction. It was a sideshow to the main event. She wanted to enter the structure and put her hands on the two men who eluded them at the tram station earlier. She felt there was a personal score to settle and she intended to do it. She didn't care for being led around inside of a casino, nor running down the street to get to the next tram station because of the actions of the two individuals.

If they could eliminate the new threat quietly, and then move on the building and take it down without too much shooting, they might be able to capture some of the men inside alive. She really wanted to get her hands on the two men who rode the tram. She wouldn't be satisfied until she was able to conduct a 'special session' with both of them. She realized her hand rested on the hilt of her knife as she thought about it.

She also needed to keep in mind there was another Skynet related building to bring down. Ally and Al's team were both holding away from the target location. It seemed Ally was about to experience some unwanted attention by a group of biker thugs. She would like to be there to assist her. It wasn't the case. They needed to deal with their targets first.

John was frustrated by only having the two laptops to see everything on. It looked like both of their teams were about to go hot. He wanted to look at one of them, but he thought maybe it would be better if John Henry were able to use both of them to help coordinate everything more efficiently. He knew John Henry was tied into his server. There were still things he wanted to see for himself.

Cameron's team was reinforced by Gail and Cammy. It gave the team six Terminators and Savannah. It was a good size strike force for a target of its size. The two men who showed up unexpectedly added a new dimension and threat level. He really wished he was able to take advantage of better coverage.

Ally was alone. It worried him. He should've sent her some help. There wasn't a whole lot of help to send right now. Everyone was tied up. She was in the middle of nowhere too. There was no easy way for her to get any help quickly.

John Henry looked at the two laptops and then at John.

"Don't say it." John said.

John Henry tilted his head slightly. He felt he still needed to say something in regard to the current situation.

"There's no denying we would be better served trying to cover everything at the Resistance base." John Henry said. "The Command Center offers a much better work area."

John was aware it all came back to him. There was no denying what he originally planned for himself.

"I hoped to spend some time with Cameron and Savannah…." John said. "Things just worked out in a different way."

It was the real reason John wanted to go. He thought Cameron and Savannah would be together and he could join them at some point. Things worked out drastically differently.

John Henry saw how easily John was distracted. His focus was altered from Cameron and Savannah to Cammy. He watched both of them exit from the bedroom of the Honeymoon Suite without clothing on. John managed to put on a pair of underwear, but Cammy remained naked until she left. John needed to remind her to put some clothing on before she went out. He didn't know what the extent of their 'relations' actually were inside the bedroom of the Honeymoon Suite. He wanted to remind John of what actually happened.

"It looked more like you spent some time with Cammy." John Henry said.

John felt it was a little more of a dig at him than a statement. He was able to rationalize off his actions as being nothing out of the ordinary. He determined if Cammy was a clone of Cameron, then she was basically 'Cameron' in reality. He should be able to do as he pleased, especially if it's what the other individual wanted to do as well.

"Cammy is 'Cameron'." John said. "They both share the same DNA and 'Cameron's program'. A clone is supposed to be the same as the original."

John Henry didn't look convinced. He was sure it wasn't going to matter. He would like to see John explain it in front of Cameron and Cammy together. He didn't think his explanation would go over very well with either one of them. He was aware they both thought the other one was a Bitch, and they weren't. He was sure it was all a matter of perspective.

"I'll let you discuss it with them." John Henry said.

John chose to ignore John Henry's comment. There were two situations and it appeared they were both about to go critical. He wanted to concentrate on what was happening elsewhere. He certainly didn't want to go through some type of moral review.

"I don't know whether to be more worried about Ally facing the biker gang alone, or Cameron's team." John said. "I'm certain there are going to be bullets flying in all directions very soon at both locations."

John Henry knew John didn't need to worry about Ally anymore. Her situation was out of their hands and control.

"CamNet has Ally covered." John Henry said. "CamNet has taken over her situation. Everything which will occur going forward, will be done through her. It should be classified as an 'off the books' operation and not a Resistance matter."

John was a little surprised to hear it. Especially since he was able to view what was about to unfold.

"I'm still getting some video." John said. "Normally we get cut out from what happens at Cameron's base."

John Henry was given specific instructions from CamNet to let John know what the situation was. It was already what he expected it to be. He was a little surprised at the directness of how it was to be presented. He didn't think it was going to go over very well once John found out.

"CamNet is being directed from the Young bunker." John Henry said. "I believe CamNet wants you to watch how your future mate will act in the face of danger."

John looked away from his monitor for a moment at John Henry. He wanted to see if he made a joke or not. It didn't appear so. He wanted to find out for sure.

"You have to be kidding me." John said.

John Henry didn't see why he would have to do it. He simply stated what the facts were. There was no jest involved in his statement.

"It's where the threat was first called from." John Henry said. "CamNet has been directed to send half of our local resources to assist Ally and the other half are under my control."

John was glad to see not all of their resources were stripped away. With Cameron and Savannah on the ground and an attack impending, he didn't think they would be taken away. He did wonder what exactly would be done. He was well aware Young Allison was trained by Cameron and the Metal girls and taught to think big and bold when she acted.

"I wonder what she'll do…." John said.

John Henry thought he should be a little bit more concerned about what she wouldn't do. With CamNet to back her play, she could actually do quite a bit. It appeared she was going to make a 'statement'.

"She'll do whatever she has to do to protect our team members." John Henry said. "You know she's helped Savannah and Cameron before."

John was always impressed with Young Allison. It was clear now she was the one directing the assistance to Ally. It was most likely she would need to kill, or order some people killed, if things went hot. Most likely all of these events were shielded from her mother. It was doubtful Claire would sign off on her daughter killing people. She might be a little more inclined to do so if they were from the future.

He didn't realize blood on the girl's 'hands' would help assure their survival in a Skynet future. The future was an ugly place. Sometimes survival would come down to something as simple as who would kill who first when two people encountered each other. One of them didn't necessarily need to be the 'enemy' either. There were plenty of individuals and groups on their side of the wire who were just as deadly as the official enemy.

Cameron was back in control of the team. She was bothered by the new threat, but the original threat still troubled her. She wanted to take it down and take it down now.

"I want to move in on the 'day care' building now." Cameron said as she stood up.

Savannah reached out and stopped Cameron. She didn't think it was the right time. They needed to identify or eliminate the other threat first before they moved in on the 'day care' building. There were still too many unknowns to act in an impulsive manner.

"No. We need to wait." Savannah said. "We need to identify what the new threat is. We don't know for sure if it's only two individuals. There could be other ones in place already which we haven't detected. We don't know if anyone is still in the house. The people inside may have slipped out through a tunnel. As far as we know the house is wired and it's is a trap."

Cameron wondered why she hadn't thought about the same things. They were all logical assumptions. Maybe she wasn't quite back up to where she thought she was operationally. She decided to run a few more scans and diagnostics while they waited. She thought maybe she would need to return control of the operation to Savannah if she didn't check out. She was aware if she made the wrong decision or choice, she could endanger Savannah. She didn't want to endanger any of their troops. She didn't want to be responsible for it.

Frank was still in his place of concealment where he could watch two sides of the building. Even with the other events going on around him, nothing at his location changed.

"I haven't spotted any movement in the house for two hours." Frank said over the com.

Savannah wanted to reassure Cameron they would have additional help once the new threat was dealt with. The new threat is what drew off some of their assistance already. She wanted to get the assistance back before they acted.

"We'll have four more Terminators to assist us as soon as we neutralize the new threat." Savannah said. "We need to find out who they are and where they came from."

Savannah turned off her com.

Cameron did the same.

It was clear Savannah wanted to say something personal to Cameron. She wanted to make sure Cameron understood she would have her total support for whatever decisions she decided to carry out.

"Cameron, I know the operation is important to you." Savannah said. "We'll deal with the anti-Metal group in whatever way you see fit or want. I want you to have satisfaction. I'll assist you in whatever way you determine. I'll back your play and your decisions."

Cameron appreciated the moderating influence of Savannah. She felt a strong desire to 'take care of business' on her own. She needed to wait.

"Thank you, Savannah." Cameron said. "My impulse is to go in the front door and deal with this. I know you're trying to help me and keep me from unnecessary damage. Everything dealing with the anti-Metal faction causes me a lot of stress."

Savannah needed to remind Cameron again. They didn't even know who the group was inside of the building. It most certainly was the enemy, but what enemy it was, was unknown. There was always the slight possibility it could be another group of 'Friendlies' as well. There could be different Skynet affiliated groups from alternate realities or further Futures. There was always the very real possibility there could be Resistance forces from any of those as well.

"We still don't know who they are." Savannah said. "They could be a different group of Grays, or maybe some new Resistance group."

Cameron looked at Savannah for a few moments when she suggested the possibility of Resistance fighters who weren't anti-Metal.

"We're going to find out." Cameron said.

Cameron was sure the men in the old 'day care center' were a threat. It was possible they could be 'Friendlies', but she believed it was highly unlikely. It would actually seem to open a new can of worms as to why they were there. If future John sent them, there must be some type of problem which needed to be dealt with. She did understand they could also be Resistance fighters from a different future. If they were, they were there for a specific reason. She wanted to know what the reason was.

Cammy advanced on the two unknown targets. She took the lead as Gail covered their flanks and rear.

The hushed voices grew louder.

Cammy could tell she was close.

Gail checked around them and in back of them before she moved up next to Cammy. The voices were just around the corner.

Cammy stayed close to the corner. Cammy motioned for Gail to move out wider.

Gail would move fifteen feet across from Cammy. It was to give them two firing angles. It would also split the return fire if there was any. It couldn't all be directed at both of them.

Cammy held up three fingers. One by one she lowered them. Gail moved as soon as the last finger went down. She nearly jumped the fifteen foot distance and took up a firing position. Cammy stepped around the corner. She would confront the targets first.

The suppressed M4 each of them carried sought a target. The nearly soundless report from their weapons was ready to cough out death.

Moments ago:

Sheila advanced with Dan. They wanted to prevent the two unknown individuals from entering the target area, or to be able to give support to the occupants in the structure. They wanted to keep the enemy forces divided.

"I see them." Sheila whispered. "They're between those two houses."

Dan could only see one from his current position.

"I have one targeted." Dan whispered.

Sheila wanted to remind Dan there would be two 'Friendlies' on the opposite side of the unknown targets.

"Cammy and Gail are on the other side of them and ready to move." Sheila whispered. "Make sure of your target when this goes hot."

Dan planned to use caution.

"Affirmative…." Dan whispered.

As they watched, they saw Gail move to a new firing position and Cammy come around the corner to face the two men.

The two unknown individuals were now trapped between the two Resistance forces and weren't going anywhere. Their most likely destination was the cemetery. If there were any large dumpsters nearby, it would be the city dump instead.

Moments ago:

John watched John Henry as John Henry fed the two sets of Terminators, who closed in on the targets, information from the drone. He made sure both sets knew where the other set was at.

Since it was now dark, John Henry dropped one of the drones down to a much lower position than it was at earlier. There was less chance of it being spotted in the night sky at the lower altitude. He was prepared to bring it even lower if necessary. He could bring it down to just outside of a Terminator's hearing range. They still didn't know who was inside of the building, or even what group they were part of.

"I detect nothing else around them." John Henry said. "I've dropped one drone to five thousand feet. It has the targets locked up but Cammy and Gail are in too close for a missile shot."

John didn't think they wanted to start the engagement with a missile shot. Not only would it alert the occupants of the old 'day care center', it would also alert all of the neighbors there was something wrong. Even after the explosion, he knew people would peer out through their shattered windows to see what happened. He wanted to make sure the two unknown men weren't part of a bigger operation to surround their troops on the ground.

"What about the other drones?" John asked.

John Henry scanned the ground for movement as well as the air for any HK drones.

"They detect nothing." John Henry said.

John wanted to get some intel on what was inside of the 'day care center' if it was possible.

"Can the lower drone pick up heat signatures in the 'day care' house?" John asked. "I don't see any."

John Henry would need to drop the drone a little lower to come up with an accurate scan of the building. It would also allow the minigun on the drone to be used for direct fire at a ground target with extreme accuracy.

"I'm dropping the drone to a lower altitude." John Henry said. "The new quieter power plants can come in much lower without detection. It's dark now too."

John's screen changed and he saw four figures inside the 'day care' house.

He was pleased to see there were now four targets clearly visible within the walls of the structure. It let them know exactly where they were at inside the structure. He was aware the rounds fired from an M4 could easily tear through the wall to strike the occupants inside if necessary. He also needed to remember as of yet, they didn't know who the individuals were inside of the structure. There was always the remote possibility they were associated with the Resistance and weren't part of the anti-Metal faction.

"I want Cameron, Savannah, and Frank have this information." John said. "They can shoot through the walls and pop them from outside if they need to. Make sure they're in a position so they don't end up in a crossfire situation if they need to do it."

Holly ran the proposal by Derek about the spare bedroom, and having the doorways installed into the adjoining rooms. She thought it was a good idea. It would give maximum flexibility for the care of Precious while it ensured the privacy of Derek and Riley.

Derek liked the idea of Riley being able to have more help for the proper care and additional nursing for Precious. He was worried about messing up other people's lives to do it. He understood it would take a big commitment on their part to become a part of Precious' life in such a manner.

"I don't want to inconvenience anyone." Derek said.

Holly felt she needed to express what she witnessed firsthand in the future she visited. It was clear the reach and effects of Skynet were very widespread through more than one future.

"In Cameron's future, Savannah often nursed both of the babies herself. The damages to the future girl's bodies were extensive." Holly said. "The girls from your future will all need to help each other."

Derek wanted to verify everything with Riley first and make sure she agreed to it before they did anything. He didn't want to feel he forced her into a decision she wasn't comfortable with. It seemed like it should be a joint decision.

"Let me call Riley." Derek said.

Derek did. He went over all the different proposals Holly laid out for him. He liked some better than others.

Riley said any option was good for her. She really wanted some help.

Derek was pleased with the news. He knew Riley could use all the help she could get. She needed some additional support which he couldn't provide her with, even if he was there with her. He was aware of Riley's desire to have a 'girlfriend'. He wondered if what was about to happen would be the gateway to it. No. If Riley wanted a 'girlfriend', he was good with it. It was the way of the future anyway. It also might present him with a little extra opportunity as well. He turned his attention to Holly. He looked at her for a moment and swallowed hard.

"Riley said it is a 'go'. We can go by the hardware store and pick up some supplies." Derek said.

Holly and Derek arrived at the carpool to check out a truck.

Derek spotted something right away.

"Hey, there's a really nice truck." Derek said. "I like it a lot."

Holly received a transmission from CamNet.

"Cameron picked it out just for you." Holly said. "She said she knew you would like it."

It was one identical to the one Future Derek once drove.

Claire and Hanna stayed to be with Jan and Summer.

Claire didn't want to tie up any more of Bob's time.

"You can do other things if you need to, Bob." Claire said. "Thank you for everything you did for all of us."

Summer went over to Bob and held onto him.

"He can stay longer if he wants." Summer said.

Bob was very pleased with his current interaction with the girls.

"It looks like I get to play Sheriff a little longer." Bob said.

Hanna thought Bob made a good Sheriff. She tried to put things into historical context. She determined Sheila could play the part of some additional characters.

"Too bad Sheila isn't here." Hanna said. "She could play a saloon girl."

Summer looked over at Hanna. She wanted to point out what the actual job was of a saloon girl. It was the world's oldest profession.

"They were usually prosti…." Summer started to say.

Claire quickly interrupted Summer before she could complete her sentence. She didn't think Jan needed to know such detailed information about the past.

"You don't need to say it." Claire said.

Claire didn't want Jan to hear things Sarah and Kyle weren't teaching her. She would need to speak with them about what level of truth they wanted Jan to know. It was obvious if Jan continued to associate closely with Summer, she would be continually updated or corrected as to the way things actually were. It may not adhere to the fantasies of a young lady but it was the painful reality of truth.

It was very clear to her both Young Allison and Summer knew a lot of 'big girl' stuff. Young Allison studied on a college level. It seemed Summer would be too, at an even earlier age. She wasn't really sure how, but it was clear Summer was the most intelligent individual of anyone her age she ever knew, or even heard of.

She currently carried Allison's embryo. She wondered if Summer was actually someone else's embryo she carried and delivered as her own. It didn't really matter if it was or not. Summer was her youngest daughter. Nothing was ever going to change it. She wouldn't mind having another child either. She was aware of the female from a further future who looked just like Allison. She was also the most intelligent person any of them knew or even heard about. She even created encryption the super computers couldn't break.

Ally observed the bikers were on their way to 'check her out'. It was time to 'play the game'. If they followed her, it was they who sealed their own doom, not her. If the 'cat' decided to follow the 'mouse', they would find a 'tiger' waiting when they arrived. It would be a classic case of someone biting off more than they could chew. It would also be their past catching up with them in a most brutal manner. Everything came with a price. She believed if they followed her, it was time to pay the Piper.

She understood bikers were actually bullies. Like all bullies, they enjoyed a certain amount of dominance because people didn't want to confront them. Normally when a bully was confronted, and got a taste of what they attempted to dish out, their attitude sharply changed.

Ally watched as half of the bikers went around the far side of the dilapidated building. They wanted to box her in. She knew standard fare for bikers was to rob the 'mark' and abuse any of the females. Most likely they would kill them when they were done and steal their car. It was why they always carried a few extra people on some of the bikes.

She was ready to act. She moved the shift selector into 'drive' and started to move.

Ally was up to the challenge.

Young Allison watched both operations unfold. She directed CamNet to give Ally whatever support she could since she was alone. John Henry would handle the operations for Cameron's team.

Anna was sure where things were headed. It wasn't a pleasant place. Most likely people were going to die. She wanted to make sure Young Allison understood the nature and consequences of her actions. Termination was death.

"Are you ready to kill them?" Anna asked.

Young Allison disagreed with Anna's terminology. She wouldn't actually kill anyone. If anyone died, it would be because of their own actions, not hers. She still understood what Anna was after. She decided to give it to her straight.

"I will if I need to. I'll defend the Resistance team however I have to. Cameron and Savannah have told me of the consequences of our actions. It's the biker's actions which will determine their fate, not mine, or ours. We merely carry out the sentence they've given themselves." Young Allison said. "I'm leaving the decision up to Ally and CamNet for now. I won't stop them from killing the bikers. If they choose to go after Ally now, not only will they be Scavengers in the future, they are Scavengers now by their own actions."

Anna wanted to stress what the most likely outcome was going to be.

"Are you ready to kill?" Anna asked. "You need to understand people are going to die."

Young Allison didn't look forward to a fight, but she certainly wasn't going to back away from it when someone brought the fight to them. She learned the only cure for 'Scavenger like' behavior was death. She was ready to administer the cure to protect Ally.

"No. I'm not 'ready'." Young Allison said. "But I won't hesitate to do so to protect those I love. I've only terminated a Terminator so far. He tried to hurt Savannah. I hurt him instead."

Young Allison was ready to kill for those she loved and cared about. It wasn't what she wanted to do, but she wouldn't hesitate. Savannah and her talked about it before and Savannah told her it was harder at first but seemed to bother her less as time went on. Savannah told her there was one which always bothered her, but she didn't want to talk about it.

Young Allison didn't know it was 'those eyes' Savannah watched as she strangled the life out of the female Gray, the one who tried to strangle her first. It really didn't get any closer or more personal than that.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Maybe There's Something

I know life is complicated
It's easy to stray from the path
There's what one already hath
There's also a brewing wrath

Something beyond control happened
Causing one to error
Spreading fear and destruction
Creating much terror

The words were spoken
The problem was fixed
Deep in your heart one begged
Your eyes were locked transfixed

Then came the rejection
Immediately one was replaced
On what was it based
As true love was erased

What are you doing
Is this real or a fling
I don't understand
Maybe there's something

Nobody
